Picture if you will…
The year is 1985.
Ronald Reagan is your President.
Mikhail Gorbachev becomes leader of Russia.
The 49ers are the Super Bowl Champions.
Live Aid is helping to feed the children of Africa.
New Coke is given to the masses… and then given right back with a 'no thank you' note attached.
The country is scared to open their mailed packages, thanks to the Unabomber.
'Money For Nothing' is everywhere.
John Hughes just keeps the hits coming on the big screen with The Breakfast Club.

And the Justice Society is about to hang up their capes.
The original and predominant group of adventurers and heroes are starting to show their age. The evil of the world seems to be eternally young and thriving, but those of justice seem to be just slowing down. Starman was the first to retire, passing his Cosmic Staff to the Star Spangled Kid who rebranded herself Stargirl to carry on his legacy. Members of the Justice Society who are mortal recognize this as an inevitability for themselves, and fear for a future where they are simply unable to act on behalf of the good of humanity.
Dr. Fate, the one with the most insight into the possible future, suggests rather than using a spell to keep the heroes from aging they begin training a younger generation to take over for them someday. Not like sidekicks, but those with gifts (both physical and mental) to be shown what it means to be a hero; to know what it means to help humanity whenever and wherever they can.
The seeds of a world changing idea are planted, and others amongst the Justice Society run with it. Unable to really bring children (in their eyes) into battle with the likes of the Joker, Deathstroke and Darkseid's minions… they would instead bring the prospective heroes to a safe place to train them. To help them learn about life, about their gifts and what it means to be an agent of justice. The Argo Academy is established (thanks to funding from a few members of the Justice Society), and they begin to 'recruit' potential students.
These new disciples would be brought to the Academy and live on campus while they learn to better socialize when not in class. They will see the world through the eyes of history's greatest heroes, and then it would be their turn to create such a legacy.
Ideally, at least 1 or 2 posts a week would be wonderful. And posts with some content! Not just a couple lines to keep things going. Yes, we know things happen. But that's why we communicate with one another! If you could make each post at least a couple good paragraphs, well that's the kind of thing we're looking for! Good grammar, puncuation and spelling and all are pretty cool in our book too!
If you want to play a hero-ish character, great! Want to play a morally grey character? Surely! A character that perhaps can't stay on the side of the angels? We have room for those too! But again, keep in mind we want this to be a focus of slice of life, not just constant fighting or moving from one action scene to the next. And also keep in mind your character is in a school full of the greatest heroes in history, so some shenanigans won't go over well.
We will also allow two characters per player, if that is something wanted.
While the GM and co-GM will be playing the majority of NPCs, we also want to have the roles of the JSA staff open for other players as their secondary character.
Thus far, the claimed characters are:
Dinah Lance - Me (Ashley! @Camleen)
Pamela Isley, Harleen Quinzel - @Ms.Ezra
Conner Kent - @MrStoryTeller
Roy Raymond Jr. - @Not_Amy
Ted Kord - @Chaac
Anselle Cordell - @Ragamoofin
Megan Morse, Bary Allen - @Gands
