It was starting to seem like Kat was cursed with bad timing. She had only meant to be in the town for no more than a couple of hours to refill on supplies. The town itself was fairly populated - one of the largest in the region. If anything, Kat would have assumed it was one of the safest places to be. As it was, she had been shifting through the general store when the siren blared. With a start, Kat's hazel eyes shot over to front of the shop. Outside the window, people could be seen rushing about in a panic. That only meant one thing. "A horde! An entire horde of Infected!" Hearing that was enough for Kat. She grabbed a few more supplies, shoved them into her bag - not bothering to pay for them -, and dashed out the door. Outside, she saw a wave of Infected on the horizon, shuffling towards the town slowly. Damn. Well, no use in staying here any longer. As the town's inhabitants rushed to grab their arms and prepare for the attack, Kat headed in the opposite direction. It wasn't her battle to fight, after all.
