I am looking for one or two long-term RP partners who can match my pace and be friends as well as plotting partners. I have multiple sclerosis and other health issues that cut into my energy for RPing, so I sometimes have to take long breaks from RP but rarely lose interest in a plot and am fine picking things up after long stretches, and I also like to plot multiple things at once so that there are "easier" options if I'm not feeling up for a certain post. So while sometimes that means putting things on pause for months, on a good day I can post spree and write 10+ replies. It's a mixed bag and I know not everyone has that kind of patience, so don't be afraid to tell me if this is a dealbreaker, I get it.
If none of this has scared you off yet, here's some more about my RP preferences.
Posting:
Like I said, my posting speed is not reliable, unfortunately. I go for weeks, months,years sorry Diana without replying but then I sometimes post twenty times for you! Excitement, right? 8D
I'm definitely more of an aggressive than passive player, and I enjoy being the "GM" in my one-on-ones. I write third person, past-tense and prefer you match my style. I like detailed description but not all of the time and not when it's not telling something about the setting or characters. I usually write a few small paragraphs but sometimes will go shorter or longer where appropriate, but I believe in post quality over quantity of words/paragraphs/whatever.
I've been RPing online for about 20 years but all that means is I'm a huge nerd, lmao. As long as you're coherent and giving me something to work off of in your replies, we're good.
My time zone is US EST, but my schedule tends to be a little unpredictable. I'm usually online in the mornings, afternoon, and evenings when I can be online, though. Hit me up on Discord and I'll answer if I'm around! (Astaroth#4407)
Characters:
I primarily prefer to play male characters, although I sometimes play female or non-binary. I play all sexual orientations, so straight or gay pairings are viable options, and I'm down with trans/enby characters as well. Most of my characters I default to pansexual switches even if they don't think of themselves as such, but I do prefer dominant characters since that's the role I'm comfortable in IRL. Basically, character chemistry is all I really care about!
As far as age range, I prefer to play adults 25+, but I'm open to playing anywhere from 16-65. 16 is the absolute lowest I will go for romance/Redstar content because I'm just not comfortable playing anything younger. (This applies to your characters as well.)
I'm also open to humanoid characters, but I mostly play human or human-looking things (vampires, werewolves, etc.) myself. I don't really like playing anthros or non-humanoids. I don't play animals.
I like playing multiple characters and NPCs, but don't expect you to do the same unless you want to.
Romance:
If there's going to be any kind of romance, even the most PG of romance, I don't want to play with anyone under 18. Sorry, it's just weird for me! I also will back out real fast at the first sign of things crossing into OOC, no matter how old you are. I'm not looking for that, sorry, I just want writer friends to do fun stories with. I don't care if you are male/female/enby/whatever. However, I also will not write Redstar stuff with anyone I don't know well and am not sure is over 18. I know too much about people lying about their ages. D:
I love romance! It's not necessary though as long as there's an interesting character dynamic. Other kinds of relationships are fun too.

Fandom RP:
I do fandom RP but primarily am looking for original RP right now! The one exception is I am always, always thirsty for Harry Potter RP, especially if you're down with playing canon characters. Hit me up if you want more info about some of my HP wishes/preferences/ships/plot ideas.
Potential RP plots:
- Two children were next-door neighbors, one old enough to babysit the other. The younger child's parents were abusive and one murdered the other. Both children were together in the house when it happened. After the murder, the younger child was sent to live with relatives. The two children meet again as adults, and the past comes back to haunt them. Possible weird/supernatural shit ensues. This was conceived for a modern setting but could be adapted otherwise very easily.
- A detective agency doesn't deal with "normal" clientele. This could entail fantasy, supernatural, or paranormal elements. The detective who founded the agency is forced either to work with a rival detective or to hire an assistant. The new partner/assistant may or may not be aware of the existence of these unusual elements. I'd prefer to play this a little humorously.
- A woman dresses as a man in order to be allowed a militaristic position. She is assigned to protect a woman of high birth, who is actually a man in disguise. This could be due to a threat or to thwart some kind of curse. Possibilities include: Knight and "princess". Military officer and diplomatic dignitary. Bodyguard and politician's "daughter". Starfleet captain and alien ambassador.
- Anything involving arranged marriage, I'm such a sucker for that
- Oh yeah I also have a creepy dark fantasy setting with a monster brothel but that's only for Redstar
- A serial killer becomes obsessed with his social worker. Very dark, unhealthy themes, no sugarcoating
- Small town where strange murders are happening. Characters begin to experience paranormal phenomenon. Everyone has a secret. Your character is a newcomer in town. Think Stranger Things, X-Files, Higurashi, Twin Peaks, Silent Hill for the tone. This could be "modern" (I'd prefer 80s or 90s) or a fantasy setting.
- Haunted house. This could be modern or fantasy. I just want a creepyass haunted house. Characters/your character have just inherited/married into/moved into the house.
- A group of childhood friends used to play a game with their imaginary friend. Something bad happened and one of the kids died. Ten years later, strange things are happening around them and the past comes back. I'd prefer this one to be a modern setting. Characters would be teens or college age.
- A man's old girlfriend is murdered. He goes searching for the truth of what happened to her and meets someone along the way who helps pull him out of his shell. Could work for just about any kind of setting but I'd prefer not to do straight-up contemporary for this.
- I'm just spitballing, if none of this sounds good float some ideas by me
