Her very being seemed but an explosion of extravagant hues, the strands of her shoulder length hair was pigmented with all the colors of the wind to perfectly frame her beauteous visage. She had a fair canvas that was unblemished by sunspots and scars, but upon it there was an intricate design of gold, ascending her right breast like veins that would cross her ample bosom to connect to a meticulously detailed heart, hidden by her crimson bodice. The adornments she wore would appear to be a permanent part of the masterpiece that stepped in from the wave of cold that was blowing throughout the town, the paints upon her skin not fading or threading in the presence of water upon it.

There was a whisper of virgin pink to her lips and eyelids, that would accentuate the jade orbs that observed the camaraderie of the folks becoming tainted in the act of consuming their various alcoholic beverages that seemed ever flowing. They would begin to squabble over what seemed the most trivial of things, causing friendships to become severed in eruptions of anger and jealousy. Doriyn made her way past them, possessing an airy grace upon the floorboards with each step. Her unusually bright raiment had brought a splash of color to the rather drearily assembled establishment, which seemed to consist of a mass of wood that had been hammered together in haste to make a cube.

The edifice was worn with age, but the wood effectively stood against the weather, but there was nothing in particular for the eye to catch. In the midst of rowdy men she saw a delicate flower, one of such allurement that poets would become inspired to weave words that one would use to serenade her. Doriyn was but a newcomer to the town itself, but she had spied the people long enough to become rather affluent with the events, obtain the information she required to approach the female without being too much of a stranger.

Doriyn had heard rumor of the death of the man that this one had called 'Father.' The lithe female already being a wholly conspicuous character within the community, she did not wish to alert the suspicions of the girl anymore than what was most likely present in her mind. The smell of liquor lingered upon the stale air, vulgarities being spewed from rotten toothed maws, boisterous laughter and reverberating off of the petite interior of the tavern.

She continued to maneuver through the masses, unhindered by body or object. They just seemed to bid her access past them without a drunken punch thrown at the moment, or foul language being directed to her ear as a consequence of standing between individuals that were engaged in fights. Her footsteps would cease as she stood behind the one named Cal. Not an utterance came from this woman garbed with many colors.

She simply eyed the female, her companions, before occupying an empty seat in the vicinity of her. When the serving wench wasn't busied by the collecting of tankards and plates and taking orders, she reached Doriyn, rather taken aback by her. It was as if she had never looked upon the differing colors that had made up the earth and sky and sea, never felt moved by it.

Her jade gaze diverted from the direction of the barmaid, and she shifted position in her seat so that she could look upon the female which had addressed her. "I've heard about your father. I wish to extend my condolences. I have to admit, he looked quite peaceful in his casket." She then turned toward the window, watching the rain pelt against the pane of glass that seemed sturdy enough to take the hits of a substance more dense, like hail. "Well, the world goes on."Her haunting voice would echo those words, directed to all that inhabited the place at that time.

The people seemed to be afflicted with a paralyzation of sorts, their bodies seized in such a manner that they couldn't move or speak. She would emit a small sigh, drumming her fingertips upon the tabletop. "...Any time now."She spoke to the catatonic public, to no avail. She witnessed the unbalanced serving platter fall from the woman's hands, hitting the floorboards with a resounding thud. "That'll be a mess, for sure." All eyes were upon her, the errie silence making Doriyn's thoughts deafening.

Azureland

Azure.jpg

It was late evening. The fiery essence of the burning sun was nearing its departure of the world, entering into its ageless buxom beauty.Like twin lovers converging and would produce the moon that was sure to follow. But the vermillion glow cascaded around him, heating up his profoundly unique armor; a billion incandescent candles shimmering off his rather...distinctive armor. Few had seen such a man illuminate like the twinkling of a star, an emerald hued celestial body in and of himself. His armor was gilded; intricate lines tracing pathways to not particular religious symbols, impresa, or coat-of-arms.

This man held nothing to identify him with any given church or monastic order.Yet he exuded calm tranquility over those that would surround him, gawk at him.Beneath lay a man unlike any other. In the times of old it was said that Paladins were of a race of their own. A birthright; given between angelic and human descent. Most knocked it off as a fairy tale. Knights were knights, there was nothing special or extraordinary about them…or so they supposed. Beyond the fringes of his visored helm, which rarely did he take off, were a pair of shocking blue eyes. They were so vivid, the illuminated the corners and contours of his façade.Yet darkness sequestered them even if on tried to peer into the gaping abyss. The most distinctive thing which he bore to further give rise to the tale, were his pair of ethereal wings. The spectacle of them, if he was given intensity shone with a light few could fathom. It was warm; it healed wounds, purged demons from their dark crevices, and healed the sick.

These limbs; four in number were extended from his back. They were wispy, flowing with the winds like undulating waters. For those that could see them without the light given any such intensity—would discover they were much like a prism. The glittered and gleamed like colorless gems and yet as the sun caught them, the shone with a plethora of hues.

He was a being like no other. A force of good--a pure soul. He was human and something else, his lifespan was lifetimes. Beneath layers of unknown metals, existed human body anchored to this realm. It was physically robust, but to say its build was cumbersome would be an exaggeration. In fact the flesh and blood vessel was lean muscled; corded arms and a defined torso. He had a complexion as though winter, rosy lips straddled pale features; a slender nose, a chiseled jaw. His hair was platinum blond almost silvery in the way it glimmered when light struck it and it was long, drifting down to his backside. It was all there to see—for the right person.

Azureland's horse trotted willfully past the city's gates. The portcullis was raised into the stone archway. They were lazy in their duty, but the paladin felt no need to alert them. The presence, he felt he would have to deal with himself. As he aimed the horse for the stalls the stable boy looked up, as he did he saw what most children saw: Azure's wings shining with what seem like a rainbow of many hues; captivated not only by this, but by the naturally calming aura that Azure fed his soul peace. He quelled the barren fields like fresh rain to a droughty region.

He handed the boy the reins to his steed; a black stallion of remarkable beauty and vigor. Its shoulders were taller than a man was a high, and it was built. As the man stepped from his horse the heavy clad armor making a heavier sound for demons and specters that scurried the streets and homes. This reminded them, amicably to be gone or be destroyed. His mantle of rich violet fluttered as he stroked the horse's coarse mane. It seemed to enjoy his touch very much, almost lulled by it.

"H-hey,M-m-Mister…are you an angel?" The boy whispered to Azure.

One side of Azure's face cocked a grin. "What makes you say such a thing boy?" He would ask the child playing coy while he retrieved his sword. A weapon unlike any other. Though the blade was well hidden away in an animal skin hide tanned and crafted elaborately into a sheathe the hilt was not. The pommel had a very large pointed stone, the hilt was wrapped in turquoise as was large enough to wield with two hands though by the looks of him one could eve guess he was strong enough with just one. The hand-guard was fashioned from some luminous metal which kept a high sheen.

"B-b-Because…you,you have wings" The child replied.

"Really?"He pretended to look back at himself. "I don't see…anything there…" Azure kept up the game.

"But they are there! They are waving like flags in the wind, and they are changing different colors..." The boy said honestly, feeling like the man was calling him a liar. He suddenly changed his mind when the knight stepped towards him, gauntlets of gilded emerald balled slightly.

Azure knelt to the ground, lifted one hand and opened it revealing a small golden coin. This was not pittance, it was a feast. The boy reached for it but Azure closed his hand around the child's like it was a trap laid out. At first the boy was afraid because he couldn't see the man behind the helmet. That was, until Azure let him see his eyes. It was like lightening was dancing, swirling, churning in vortices in them. A shocking blue color emitted from them.

"You may have this…ONLY if you do not speak of my wings and…" His visor neared the child's face forebodingly, the color of his eyes dimming until they seemed to vanish. "Keep your heart pure and with good intent. For if there are demons cluttering around you—even one small dark corner inside your heart is home for them." He had lifted his other hand and directed his pointer finger into the breast of the boy's chest where his heart was affirmatively.

The child nodded—vigorously. "Th-thanks!" He said excitedly as the knight stood upright letting go of the small coinage. Azure turned his helm and nodded an appreciatively.

"He likes to eat a lot, so be forewarned." Azure told the stable boy as he marched away, deeper into the city…

She would siphon the life from the people, like sucking upon a bulging vein to draw out one's crimson cruor and deplete the juices needed add a lively hue to one's cheeks. The populace would appear to have been felled in death, having an ashen complexion and their bodies ever frozen in a state of rigor mortis. She would make a portrait of these people, using the tavern they occupied as a background as to entrap them evermore in a rather morbid illustration of what was supposed to be a celebratory occasion shared between friends, prior to her presence. Only one body had was absent from the picture. Cal.

Doriyn now stood upon the soil that was the foundation for the structure that was once built, the disturbed piece of artwork summoned up a cloud of dirt where it struck. She took a cautious look around, her gaze relaying to her that nobody had witnessed her display of power. In the distance, she saw that her fallen counterpart had lain with her face downward into a rather moist patch of soil. Doriyn's ears had just been assailed by this woman, but she would spare her.

Her arms moving outward in a windmill motion, the fingers to her dainty hands riding the air current, she would paint a black bubble in which could conceal the flamboyantly dressed character within as she slowly made her way along the cobbled path that would remove her from the town. Onlookers would simply see this as a play of shadows and sunlight, an illusion of glare and darkness upon the windows of the buildings she passed.

Azureland

Azure.jpg

Azure was marching through the sea of people. He wasn't hard to spot, for his armor stood out in contrast to even the armed guards on patrol. But more than this, he was taller than the average human by about a foot making him several feet tall. Nephilim as they were referred to once, were true giants amongst men. They had the same outer shell cloistered and robed in soft flesh. But they were much more than mere mortal beings. Part of them was otherworldly, some would say, divine. If one could see him bare, they would be awe struck, and slack-jawed. H was white as the Northern winds were cold. His body, littered with scars from lives past.

Nephilim did not live to breathe, they lived to exist. Mere mortal coils like those of man were simple, but for Nephilim their coils were...implicit. They conveyed their wounds as if profoundly proud of them. But that too was such a simple explanation. Their wounds stretched through time itself; they could out live the elves, they could even outlive the dragons of old. Some would procure their proclamation that Nephlims were immortal that they could never die. He had listened to scholars and philosophers; wizards and mages. It was a very audacious claim. It was a very large step, but not entirely a very far one. Nephilim were not entirely without their mortality intact. However, he could see why humans were so suspicious.

Nephilim's bodies aged more so in centuries passing than human years. Their deaths were a cycle and when that cycle ended, it was reborn to start a new cycle but their bodies bore the same scars and memories from the previous life, yet, they had to "grow up" again. In doing so, in spending the centuries slowly aging, wandering from place to place like a vagabond--he could see the world as no one else did. Understood the world as no one else did. That is why most Nephilim were chosen to be Paladins. It wasn't a chosen profession; it was a calling to one's soul. Light so hot it could sear through flame and purge the darkest shadow.
A light was in his blood, it ran wild through his veins like a powerful drug. It fueled him as though adrenaline, but with permanence. This light granted him many "powers" and abilities. One such ability was his massively overcharged strength. With it he waded through ocean of people in a suit many would deem not capable of being picked up--let alone being able to sprint at full speed or being agile enough to dodge trees in woodlands. Many thought it was hiss armor at first, thought he may have enchanted it with sort of spell. But when he unbuckled himself and let the armor itself clamor like rally cry to the ground. They understood he had such spell, that it was ill fit for human's to wear.

Beneath his glimmering armor was something the Easterners called a kimono, a robe like rendition that clung tight to the body with a hakama which were pleated skirt-like apparel. Despite the conformity of the non-traditional--it was really quite comfortable and allowed him a more...human look when he was without armor. Scantily clad almost as it were. His right hand was seated upon the sword's hilt like a king to his throne. The pommel had begun to glisten as if alive for some purpose.

Demons.

The word caused his upper lip to flutter like a snarling dog. Pesky things demons and devils. Fortunately, demons could be exorcised. Devils, you had to know their true names. Names which for the average person--might seem like slop, a slur of words. Names that held power over the being, what was worse was everyone had a true name--not just devils. He began to saunter, to amble to the direction that it the blade stirred towards. It sensed evil. He began to near a fretting woman. She seemed middle aged by human standards. She looked to him with a fright to her eyes.

He was such a colossus. Barrel-chested, broad shoulders.

"Doth ye need help Madame?" the knight spoke from his armor, eyes lighting up like blue fire; pyres burning hope in the darkness that surrounded them. He blessed her with charitable alms more than old or silver.

"Ah, Sir knight! It's my little boy!" She wailed, unsure if she should say. Unsure if she should tell. Yet the longer she stood, mystified the more relaxed she became. "Ma' boys been acting all kinds of strange."

"Madame, wilt thou taketh me to him if you please." Azure spoke lifting a solid mass of metal--his hand. It was surprisingly warm. The woman grabbed it as best she could; desperation making hear weary and tired. She scuttled through the simple living space, looking back to see if he had followed--of course he had. She led him up the stairs which he climbed slower than she had for the wood was old and creaked as it bowed beneath his weight.

Arriving at the apex he saw the child; the age of six with ashen, sickly color upon his features. His footsteps were...loud. He intended them to be. To wake the demon that slumbered in the boy like a parasite. Yet nothing stirred and the cloudy gloom of the skies as the clouds shed tears cast a dullness over the room making it seem dimmer than what it was. Azure's right hand move, eased over the boy's mouth and nose. He was barely breathing; indicative of festering. He pressed his gauntlet down over the boy's face, blocking his airways verging him between life and death. Realms would collapse, worlds torn asunder.

Azure's left hand pulled the sheets back; peeling the boy's shirt up before resting it over the boy's chest. He was waiting. Inside the demon was scurrying its way down from the furrows of the boys mind, trying to slip out his airways and form a cloud of miasma. But instead was being dragged towards Azure's left hand, passing as a light under the skin. The storm outside brewed something fierce, something ominous. Right when a flash of lightening split heaven and earth he retrieved the demon. An ear splitting rattle ensued, so fierce it shook the window panes which reflected not only a mother's horror but the foretold horror in question.

The demon was small, around the size of a small animal to most humans. It fostered sickness. By its black gangrenous teeth which snapped readily vicious at the paladin who sneered. It had tiny frail arms and legs but a large, bulbous body. It had no eyes to speak of.

"Be gone from my sight." Azure said scornfully, the creature seemed perturbed curiously by his words. Then, as though holding a lightning bolt himself, brandishing it like a warrior would wield a sword--he clenched his fist. Sizeable fissures tore through the being with enmity; righteous fury, tempered grace. The creature became as though ash at his feet. Burning embers glowed and cinders rolled to a point where they no longer illuminated anything. The abomination had be cast down.

"Thine son is once again thine, milady." He pulled the sheets back over the boy who was now breathing in regularly now.

"Oh, Sir! I thank you! Praise the heavens!" She cried out. Azure had started for the stairs, stepping down each carefully before wandering for the door the woman at his heels. As he stepped out into the rain she gave another shout of praise and he was off...

A mere gesture of her hand would produce a manipulation of the reality about her, the hues that flowed from her fingers was a pollution to the air and the soil she stood upon. Her rather destructive, artistic touch had forged a hanging tree unto the tranquil scene, she had given the victims life with incredible detail to their faces. As a result of her creativity, they would live, breathe. Their pain would assail the heavens in a wailing chorus, a desperate repentance of their misdeeds finding a difficult pass through cut- off airways.

Doriyn also created wild dogs as if to assault their unshod feet as they could not escape the noose which levitated them. The snarling snouts of the mongrels foamed with saliva, their glistening fangs seemed to mutate, becoming of greater length. The poor souls were left to thrash about, like puppets upon a marionette in the hands of a sadistic child. She knew their screams would alert the people, which would bring them from within their dwellings toward the commotion.

Her very being was transshaped then, and she became the ground they would step upon. Her evil being would stain this soil, moistened of her own blood, for she could not work her life juices into a different form than what it was.

Still wandering the town seemingly aimlessly, but there was a purpose. There always was purpose even when things seemed chaotic. Even when things hurt. There was deliberate intent behind it. But wicked things that were not meant to a part of this world, had no true place in it. Not natural feel to them as they invaded this plane. They had no rights. They had no reason for being here. Celestial forces, and those of the abyss had their own realm. There was no reason for either of them to be here. The thought kept probing his mind. Was this an invasion? This feeling? Like life itself hung by a thread, a delicate thread. He looked up to the sky, eyes pale blue and simmering with what could construed only as fire.

The colors of gray gradients; mismatched didn't seem real. It was like someone or something painted that way. He had an ominous feeling an uneasy feeling. He wasn't really afraid, just, and unsure of where he was traversing. Like he was falling, but not into a hole; the unnatural feel of it made his skin crawl. He had seen sinister intent; he had felt the ravagings of the diabolical. Yet, this seemed…different.

He was taken to an alleyway where he cautiously approached an older man. He was significantly old for a human. Possibly late sixties? He placed a hand light, and gentle upon the man's shoulder. No motion or commotion. He was dead. The Paladin rose upright again very stiffly. He walked to the cobblestone walkway.

"Why hath thou not buriest this man?" Azure pointed to the body, but they didn't turn around to look. "He layeth in a puddle of bile and refuse!"

"Yeah, yeah. Just let the rats get to him, he'll be gone soon enough." The guard waved his hand, waving him on.

This went sour with Azure, who held life quite sacred. The refusal to bury a body came with a cost of its own. The giant emerged from the shadows and committed his self to making his own. Seeing something loom over the even in this weather was disturbing to say the least. When they turned to find a Paladin there, things went south.

Before they both could turn tail and run, two enormous hands came from a chasm of darkness, lit only by twin burning pyres of blue flame. He had ensnared them by the throat and lifted them with ease, not like heavy potato sacks—no, more like clay pots.

"Thou shalt buriest this man immediately, or I shall not let thine soul go free. I shalt bind it in despair!" Azure shouted angrily, causing a stir, a ruckus few could ignore. He slammed them flat on their backs. Heavy padded cotton and ringmail absorbed most of the shock as he did not use any power.

He pointed. "Let thy deed be done!" He was an executioner of sorts. Though he never believed taking a life would solve anything—he would if he had to…But what he did in the place of running his intricate sword through someone was so much worse. He started off, people making sure to stay clear of him that were in the immediate area. But soon he found himself swimming like a minnow again in them.

He had found a beggar in the street, and soon enough offered to take him to a tavern. The old man was delighted; being blind he could not fathom Azure's sheer size. However, walking in with the man in front, holding the door polite and pulling out a chair for this 'custodian' of the world—everyone else gawked at the man's sheer magnitude. He placed a single gold coin on the table.

His finger still on it. "Bringeth this man whatever he desires. I this will fill his bill." The waitress slowly nodded, staring up into his blue gaze mystified as though she could see other cosmos. Azure then walked around and placed his hands over the sides of the man's head, fingers covering his eyes. H slowly lifted them. "Let thin curtain of darkness be revealed." He lifted his hands slowly away from the decrepit man.

He blink, not once not twice—thrice was the number. H looked at everyone as if for the first time. Overjoyed. Overwhelmed. He then slowly, looked behind. What he saw was beyond his ancient imagining. A man that towered above all else.

"Thank you my son, thank you!" He called out, rejoicing.

"You are very welcome beggar. Have a good meal, enjoy a warm bed for once." Azure told him.

"Son," The beggar said. "Might I be so troublesome as to know your name and face?" He inquired, everyone leaned in to listen.

Azure, stepped back towards the man. His helmet shifting this way and that. "You shall have it—but not here." He soon placed a hand on the man's head. Placing a simple image into this man's thoughts. Azure had his helmet off he was kneeling. Azure told him his name and asked that he kept it well hidden. The man agreed and soon Azure was leaving the establishment. The sensation of derangement became one of manifested chaos.

People were running. But from what? He followed against an upstream river of screams. The sounds of dogs barking; these were no common pets, these sounds so audible, so distinguished from them that Azure could soon enough learn what they were. Shadow Mastiffs. He soon unsheathed his blade, a bright gleam splitting the sky asunder, spreading dark clouds in a large circular circumference.. When he reached his destination however, he had no words.

No words to describe what horror drifted in him now. There, sat upon Terra a solid ebony, twisted mass that was a tree. Dangling like cords were several bodies with nooses around their necks. This was no ordinary hanging. At its trunk were there large dog-like abominations.

They caught wind of him. Turning slowly now they marched on Azure. All three zeroed in on Azure--with people running by. He had to make this quick. But these creatures, they deserve quick. His hand started to burn with a holy flame, white conflagrant undulating the burning his soul poured out. One dog leapt at him. He swiped it in half with a flick if the wrist. Another he caught by the throat, slammed to the ground and stomped its head turning it to ash as well. Azure sheathed his sword, the final dog he sundered as he did so. With a yelping cry it flew back but before it could reach the wall it turned to cinders.

He stepped up to the dangling bodies Hearing moans and murmurs. Feeling great pity. He too pity on them. He could almost feel their pain transcending. He put both hands eagerly against the tree—focusing his white flames to burn and absolve them. The tree blew with the wind; ashes to ashes dust to dust. It left Azureland terribly emotional.

The nerves were strummed in such a manner to resemble if one were to play a lute with a firey touch, producing a discord of pain that seemed to course throughout her body. The crust of the landscape would writhe beneath the feet of any which occupied space upon it, as if it were to reject the intruder, the stain upon its purity. Blood congealed with soil, forcing her solidifying form to slowly become regurgitated of the sickened parcel of land. She was not worse for wear, the plethora of brilliant colors of her rather simplistic coiffure framing her face as if they were perfect brush strokes.

A few streaks of soot were an eyesore upon her immaculate flesh, her dirtied raiment, reviled the woman. Her arm was held out in such a fashion that it appeared she wanted nothing more to do with it, that it was to become an orphaned appendage. Her other hand conjured clouds heavily pregnant with rain, and with an angry slash of lightning, they would loose a rain to cleanse her. She made a critical error in looking upon herself as the tears of heaven abluted her, watching rivulets of grime travel down her arms and bodice, she would emit a shriek that would sculpt the land anew, scraping the original design, to redecorate her surroundings in garrish hues like a canvas ruined by a toddler's discovery of paints.

Her shrill voice exuded her revulsion of her blemished skin, resulting in an amateur architecture of the town, misshapen hovels of homes taking the stead of the ones which were erected prior to the outburst. The portals leading to their interiors would be flawed in such a way that no one from the outside would be allowed access, stairways becoming like the bodies of malformed serpents, thorny protuberances growing upon the whorled wooden banisters would blockade those that remained inside with not a route to the top or bottom floors. The congregation of trees and foliage which made up the forest looked as though they were monstrosities famed in legend, barks dividing like jagged toothed, cavernous maws and taloned branches tearing at a turbulent sky as if to orchestrate gelid, razor like winds.

The light emanating from the focal point of evil's destruction was one of transcending calm. Rays of prismatic hues shone down in one central--albeit small point. Man's hearts would be melted as though a glacier beneath the whims of a broad inferno. His long, metallic fingers moved. His hand staying still; arms extended s though to embrace the weary for a long due grasp to bring one to his bosom. His breast which beat so earnestly ached with the solitude of a thousand years of memoirs yet, bequeathed a knowledgeable solace to those around him.

The wide open blue sky that had been conjured as a sudden 'swell' from Azure's power lifting the veil of gradients, revealed the sky to be of a Dodger blue or perhaps Maya. Either way, it was exceptionally light in appearance, with the upper portion above the horizon being a deeper, more vivid color than that of the horizon itself which was pale in color ans nearly translucent. The burning sun scorched all that was beneath it with its warmth and allowing the towns folk to bask in its glory. It was nigh white in separation with the contrasting example of the sky, leaving but a yellowish tinge to its otherwise brilliant scheme.

Azure looked to his own town hands. The metal shone fulgently, as though absorbing the rays of the sun as they shone down upon him in the heaping handfuls. His radiant blue irises looking hard into the metal surface. Glancing at the mirror reflection that was his self and wondering; what could he do to protect the people of this realm from such poison? The vortices of raw, pure divine power still simmered and swirled betwixt his legs and all around him his circumference.

Wide fingers, digits of girth slowly furled into his palm sealing his resolve. This only added to the fervor of the aura. Feeling the precipitation of that sinister force again, he turned defiantly towards its domain. He gripped the hilt of his sacrament his sword and rushed toward the structures across the way from where he was. Powerful leg muscles contracted, springing his body up right and at a slight angle. Surprise would come to those who would not beleve it feasible; Azure leapt more than twenty feet from the pavement and landed with a hard 'thud' upon the shingled roof top.

He didn't wait long before he dashed off to the origin of this feeling of dread. His metallic feet carried him with urgent swiftness. Like a falcon or a hawk in a dive, his momentum was only urged on by the sheer bulk of his size. The weight of the armor he wore only adding too this effect. He was soon near the site. Coming upon it, he looked down like an owl perched on a tree. His vivid blue eyes peering at the souls of those around him. He spotted something. A woman of remarkable saturation.

He leapt from the roof top, his metal fram crashing to the ground like some meteorite causing people to gasp with the revelation of his being there.

"Are ye to blame for that wicked thing? What foul creation twists man's soul into a commonly thing such as a tree? Is thee's shame so low thatone would still from others and supplant chaos?" He demanded.

"If so, I shall purge thine soul!" He gripped his sword, ready for anything that may come.

As she wove color into tangible material, the resonance of her howls had rapined the land, molding into the horrible outcome of the rough sketches she envisioned. She would have to replenish her palette, she could -feel- the hues being bled of her each time she created, or removed something from the realm. It would take a toll on her physical vessel, an achromatic left eye would survey her surroundings, the once brilliant jade of her right one becoming washed out, faded. Someone was gifted with a vivid blue gaze, someone nearby. She could feel his aura, the breath of the holy which empowered him.

He seemed to brandish color at her, as if it were a weapon. The very radiance of his armor, mirroring the light of his inner righteousness, each piece shone as if they were but facets to a glinting jewel risen to the sunlight. Her right arm would extend in the direction she presumed he be, her forefinger in a rigid point at the end. She looked upon her hand, the chalky texture of the skin seemed to powderize in the strong gale she conjured. Her crumbling stature was viewed with wide eyes, a mingling of disgust and horror of the decrepitude of her weakened state. Her fingers moved swiftly upon the icy breeze, her response constructed into beautifully calligraphed words that would a possess a haunting melody to each syllable.

"I don't understand a word of that, but I'll take it as insult because I don't like the tone it was said, Sir."She eyed his change of stance, the way he held his sword as if it were the chastising hand of the Divine. "Ah, the goody two boots has finally come to put a damper on my amusement, I see. Well, I also see that your Gods have bestowed a beauteous sheen to your metallic shell. I think I shall take that for myself. I am looking a tad lack luster, after all." Doriyn toyed with a few strands of her blanched hair, observing his intentions.

Azureland

Azure.jpg

Azure's gauntlet rested upon the hilt of his sword in a trained manner. One that provoked the idea that he was a stern man who gave not eager wish towards those that befouled the world with evil and chaos. He was an agent of law and order. Ye, he would not be just an ordinary knight. This was never more clear than when the hands of he clock slowed, and time took a knee. In the midst of this slowing of time, his eyes burned a violent blue hue. The air around him became positively charged with divine energy. Even otherwise hidden miscreants were dissolved; gasping, writhing, howling outwards as they were momentarily revealed in a moderate circumference around him and subsequently admonished a most severe way.

He was like the sun, and they were but shadows being dissolved and melted away like shadows with no where to hide. The crystalline appearing pommel glowed, illuminating, not brightly but with pulsation. It was unlike any weapon a human could have. Even no other Nephilim had such a sword. She would be entirely unawares of what nature the blade was, or what it could do. This was a gambit he had exploited many times.
Yet was a massive weapon. What would take a human two hands though--only took him one. Nevertheless, there was room for both of his hands. If he used both it would only double the striking power he could usher forth.

"Thine own heart betrays thee. Ye wicked incarnation. Ye be a devil of some sort? Other worldly spirit?" H questioned her as though it were an interrogation.

"Ah, the goody two boots has finally come to put a damper on my amusement, I see. Well, I also see that your Gods have bestowed a beauteous sheen to your metallic shell. I think I shall take that for myself. I am looking a tad lack luster, after all." She told him, threatening his very being. His fingers only furled tighter around the hilt causing a slight squeal in the leather.

"Ye's soul is as ugly and abominable as thine's coil. Telleth me witch, what plane of the Abyss does thou belongeth so that I might send thee proper?" Azure retorted coldly,

"Thy wilt crumble like ashes in the wind for the carnage and mayhem ye have unleashed without justification; I can't fathom a more retributive punishment than to turn thou into the hideous thing it is on the inside."

"None. I am borne of a zephyr painted with the colors of this world."Her brow arched, she decided to treat his words in a mocking manner. "You would really wish to banish all the hues which define this world? Doing so would then cripple the very environment in which we live, casting it in shades of gray. I'd think someone of your stature would be able to see the folly of that sort of judgement." Doriyn waggled a forefinger at him, as if in scolding. "For shame."

She had begun to lose a few pieces to her outfit, the brightly colored plumage which adorned her left shoulder seemed to scatter in all different directions upon the breeze. The feathers which resembled threads of gold on a quill, were so lovely that they could have easily been chosen as the writing utensil for the Gods. The talisman which dangled down her bodice, seemed etched in the unmistakable likeness of a Paladin, imprisoned there forever within escapable silver boundries.

"I need to recuperate for a while. I'm certain we'll run into one another again!" Fingers pumping in a wave, her very being would dissipate then in a swarm like cloud of molecules which would absorb the pigmentation of everything they were to settle upon. In this state, she could enter human bodies via orifice or open wound, feasting upon them from the inside like an insidious disease.

"None. I am borne of a zephyr painted with the colors of this world." Colors? What infernal magic was this? "You would really wish to banish all the hues which define this world? Doing so would then cripple the very environment in which we live, casting it in shades of gray. I'd think someone of your stature would be able to see the folly of that sort of judgement." This made Azure truly angry. She dare talk to HIM about "follies"? The insolence. The nerve.

"Do not speaketh to me of folly! Thou art but a wicked , insidious beast that sucks the lifeforce from others for thine's own gain! Twists life into mockeries of itself! How dare you even think of speak to me of folly--what is that coiled so neatly upon your breast? An entrapment? Ensnared one of my kin perhaps? Nay, you know nothing of which would cripple the world--when it's you doing the rippling its so easy to see thous hedonism. Ye's arrogance is great, but the punishment for it, I will assure you, will be equally so."

It was time. absolution was at hand. From the gentle passing of a torch into the raging inferno, Azure's power increased two fold. The world amidst him slowing to a crawl; ethereal wings slowly expanding outwards from his back to some great extent. They shimmered like prisms; reflecting every true color in utmost vividness and definition. Four in number, they spanned every bit of six feet, before curving towards her like wings of a great eagle or similar bird. But these were not feathered. They were forged of his soul and were by essence, raw spiritual energy. A devastating form of divine retribution. The edges were tattered, displaying the wealth of lifetimes he had existed in.

Azureland was no mere "old soul", he was ancient. On the precipice of nearly a millenia, he was one of the oldest of his kind.

"I need to recuperate for a while. I'm certain we'll run into one another again!" That was bad news. As the sorceress began to dissipate, Azureland was quick to react. Unsheathing the blade of a crystalline substance that was both harder than any man made steel, and could focus the torrent of raw holy energy flowing from the massive vortex around him. She would be blinded by a brilliant light, as though the sun itself had taken his place right before her eyes. However, her form had, for the most part, evaporated and he was left standing there looking out--prepared to combat the threat that she presented only to find himself alone.

He was breathtaking. His intense, azure stare, the shine of the accoutrements which seemed to be forged by the Gods. Doriyn looked to her fading flesh, feeling a sadness well up inside of her. She was very familiar with the phrase that good shall outshine evil, and had no desire to contend with him. She sat at the corner booth, her porous skin feeding on the prenumbra as the barmaid happened upon her. "Two for one special on Ale. Tis in in time of the festival."

She would nod, sending a mop of curly brown hair to and fro with the subtle gesture. "A lovely charm you wear, so vibrant with color." Doriyn spoke as if in a trance, hypnotized by swirls of red, yellow and blue of the woman's bracelet. "Oh, was in the jewelry shop. Just sitting there all lonely. It spoke to me so I had to buy it, though it took half of my wages for the year." The female gazed upon her own drab accessories.

The woman seemed rather daft, having revealed her belief that the trinket contained the vibes of whom had owned it last. Doriyn's fragile nails dug into her flesh, urging the colors of her braclet to seep into the depleted veins of Doriyn. She thought back to Azure, the wings which decorated his form and how she envied him.
