Pretty much my entire family have the motto "what will be will be" or "what is meant to be wil be"
it's a little infuriating sometimes but it's totally true​

Ours is "Time makes fools of us all."
 
"Better to be lucky than good" because all it takes is one off day and the champ could lose to a newcomer
 
Ours is a mix of 'if you can walk it's not broken' and 'I don't see any blood you're fine' 🙃
