No, as much as I think that's a good idea, I know people will not look at it before posting, and to edit the redbox each day (multiple times a day, cause let's be real, the weather is never consistant) is too much work. The weather is not that big a deal, considering how people play the majority of the time inside the inn anyway.
I have always said that the Inn follows the appropriate season of the month, but left the specific daily weather up to those playing together at that time (considering how people play sporatically through the day). Sometimes people create weather as part of their introduction. To say it's raining when it wasn't previously doesn't hinder the other players in any way, and allows someone to use some creativity when they're looking to jump in.
I think you may be thinking a little too hard about the specifics. The inn is a strange, magical place where the events and opportunities are endless. I feel if we have to much regulation on specifics (not just weather), we take away some freedom to create.
to be more specific, I want to use an example: If a mage character wants to show up and say that upon their arrival the sky blackens and hail starts falling from above, I want people to read their post and go off that, not just see that the weather post says 80 degrees and sunny.
The less detail we give them, the more they have to rely on eachother and play off eachother.
