A recent rat corpse, and a bloodied ladle on the floor generated a sight of unease to Fay. The view's registry within Fay's mind prompted her to vomit a small six, or so ounces onto her hand, as she managed to prevent the flow of her insides from hitting the floor. She wiped the bodily grime and ooze on her plain blue and impractical noble's dress. A shriek or two would make sense, but Fay's silence represented her tough demeanor. Her responsibility encouraged her to remain and to clean the mess like a full, able-bodied woman of the lugahata company. After all, what would Agatha do, was the thought to constantly hit between the mixed notes of competence and uncertainty, at least for Fay. Fortunately, she left the presence of dead rat and gross ladle due to a necessary mess hall meeting requiring Fay's attention, since a nearby sailor shouted, "Agatha's speaking soon, ya all. Come to de mess hall." Fay's mouth couldn't hold it longer, and instead of vomit, relief in the form of sighs protruded from her oral orifice. She spoke, "Ahh, aye yai yai. I'll be there."

Leisurely walking, no, not for Fay, as it was rather important, so she picked up her dress, which dropped so abundantly near her ankles. A sight of woman running in simple shoes accompanied with handfuls of plain blue dress in both hands. Look at her run, look at her jump with each important step. She carefully took her time to not step on the cracks, as she was a stickler for bad luck.

One such folk tale, titled the cracked floor, detailed an event where a boy carrying two stocks of wheat to the market stepped on a crack within the concrete walkways of a Venesian marketplace. What followed was horrible. As the boy sold his stocks in the market place, a woman with a broken back was wheeled to the boy's stall by a man with no eyeballs. The woman asked for two bushels of wheat, for which the boy stated, "I'm sorry miss, I only have two stocks." The woman left, and the boy failed to make any sale at all for the remainder of that day. At least, that's how Fay remembered the tale.

Luckily, no cracks were graced by Fay's light, quick footsteps. When she finally made her way to the mess hall, she heard Agatha beginning to speak about some yellow bearded individual. Fay wondered if the yellow beard contained any gold, and so her interest was peaked immediately upon the mention of yellow beard. When the meeting ended, she knew she needed to do what a woman always does: attend a war meeting in an hour. It been a long time since she killed, about twelve or so minutes. She couldn't quite comprehend whether the war would require another ladle, or if already used one would work. She held that question in mind, as she walked back to her prior post, making sure to not step on any cracks along the way.

An hour passed with Fay moving around some cargo. She was never required to clean up her mess with the rat, because the corpse disappeared before her return. Clearly, luck beyond gods emitted from her very aura. Maybe she was a god, no wait a goddess, but the title god works too, since good ol' Fay believed in equality. Her brain was an enigma, as the image of split milk upon her manifestation of god-like divination persisted for the remainder of that hour.

Although Fay's brain contained an array of thoughts, punctuality was something she obtain through luck, rather than practice. So in a sense, she was present in the war room before the meeting commenced, and her rear was seated on the most delicate and comfortable material. In Fay's mind, her butt was relaxed to an extent. She shuffled a bit to find a more comforting position within the material, but later ignored that part of her endeavors in favor of listening to captain Agatha. When Agatha finished speaking, Fay had a million questions to ask, but they were all answered immediately in her mind, when she finally found a perfect place for her posterior. Those two seconds of bliss were well worth the effort, as she later stood up, after hearing an approval of dismissal. However, Fay remained to hear Agatha's final summary of the plan. After the hearing, she presented a wide and large smile to everyone. She couldn't wait to bond with her friends over the lamentations and complete annihilation of pirates.

The next two days passed with a transition of a calm breeze to a violent thunderstorm. She was told to grab something. She spoke out loud, almost agitated, "I'm a respectable woman, but oh well, you convinced me so." She grabbed the toilet handle with her left hand, since the scenario occurred, after she finished emptying her bowels. After the ordeal, she was covered in liquid. However, such trivial matters did little to stop her from entering an airboat. Only one thing mattered to her, obtaining Yellow Beard's golden beard.

With a sudden flurry of images, due to the disorientating sight of multitude entities happening at once, Fay found herself on the battlefield, uncertain of what to do precisely with the air boat. She decided to follow Agatha's command, and offer support for the battle's encounter on the bridge. Due to her inexperience, she was shot down immediately, which resulted in Fay ejecting herself from the air boat and landing straight into the fray with the aid of a parachute. She gulped, as fear entered her mind. Wet, tired, and recently shot down, Fay was in somewhat of a trance, experiencing new things. Thus, she took to witnessing Agatha's group, making sure to follow suit, in case she lost her way. She pulled out a piece of plank wood that protrude from the bridge. Now armed, she was ready to face any adversity that came her way.

"Oh? More of the rat's survived than I figured.. Well only Proper for the Captain to put on a show."

Watching as the craft landed, Agatha jumped from the Craft, landing in the midst of pirates, likely leaving a reserve lander in the wake of the chaotic assault, what ones she did not dispatch the others did quickly enough. Of note was the human from before, John wasn't it? Staring at her briefly, she shows off a rather arrogant looking grin, as if to look down on him slightly. Narrowing her vision to thin slits, she spins her lance with her left hand to splatter blood from it, hopefully irritating the human as the group headed for door she claimed and the corridors behind it.

Though what bit of a friendly taunt she could have at his expense was soon disrupted, a hail of magitek gunfire ripped down the end of the hall with footfalls and the clattering of blades. Counter boarders so soon? This was unexpected, If they reached the door they could seal them off, even if briefly or potentially overrun them. Unsure of what to do she at least has the presence of mind to dodge, pinning herself behind some pipes on the other side of the door

At least it wasn't long till Shinobu and Charlotte showed up at her side. The former already issuing orders, simply if not quickly, loading another one of those shells into her weapon.

"Sorina, Charlotte, we'll be assisting Agatha's team. Same dance as before. Charge as soon as I fire and tear them apart."

"Oh why do I get the feeling you want me to charge in first? Well it seems I'll have to find amusement in the chaos of this.. I better be well compensated..."

Glancing down at her armor and cloak, and remembering the Captain's earlier words, it was little surprise she would be responsible for this, though that did not make her happy in the least. She would defiantly take her fill of blood out of this.

Watching as Shinobu darts from her own source of cover and fires the shell from before, Sorina leans her head by the right side, and covers her left ear with the matching hand, hearing a faint BOOM she turns from her position to see the hall full of smoke, with her leader pressing in from behind she had little choice, she had to clear the hall and the corridor behind. This was going to hurt.

"SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT! ARRRRRGGGGHHH!"

Screaming like a lunatic with face snarled back the young Blood Devil carries her lance in her right, cloak blowing in the wake of her movement as more of the strange blood coulisses into a large Tower shield with a spike at the front, having the same appearance in form of function the Blood Devil's enhanced physical abilities allow her to bare the burden with little drop in her speed. Taking the opportunity to swipe a few men at the end of the hall, she counts on her other senses rather than vision, for now speed was of the essence more than gaining kills, counting on Charlotte to back her up, plus the assault team and Shinobu quickly closing in from the rear.

Hearing the sound of liquid under her feet, that round likely caught a few people, meanwhile alternating between stabbing and alternating with shield rams Sorina presses on, breaching into the other side of the hall, the mean closer were disoriented as the smoke cleared, but a few behind them that possessed magitek guns took aim. While in the mix with their comrades, Sorina knew better than trying to take them all on, there were at least two to three dozen men out here. Using her shield to block some of the on coming fire as she turned the area around her into a Slaughter House rounds begin to pepper her back, of fire and ice, with her Cloak mostly deflecting or absorbing the damage.

However not designed to deal with this kind of firepower and with the melee fighters regaining composure, hits eventually begin to punch through impacting the armor. While providing protection, she could still feel the blows, calmly trying to hold the entryway she was hesitant to push in to the groupings around her. That is until one of the men gets lucky with a slash of a sword, cutting into her face. Letting out a jubilant war cry he realizes the error in such a shallow swipe, as enraged red eyes and wound already healing gazes at him, before pummeling him down and to the side by brutally sideswiping him with the shield rather than using it defensively as she had been.

"MY FACE!? MY ARMOR!? YOU PEASANTS! LOWER THAN PEASANTS! FILTH LOWER THAN DIRT! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL DRINK FROM YOUR SKULLS!"

Seemingly snapping into a near Berserker fury, she stomps atop the offenders head, coating her left boot in gore. Shaking violently, she begins a more forward assault darting around both sides of the corridor killing or slashing whatever had the nerve to close in, batting away weapons and defending against magitek shots with the wall shield, all the while laughing like a madwoman. While not to the plan as expected, the hallway was now clear and the forces in the corridor were hastily trying to reorganize from the earlier launch by Shinobu's assault and now the grinning lunatic of a Blood Devil in their midst, and another red eyed woman making her way out of the doorway.

Sorina would however need aid to deal with them all, even for her this would quickly be too much if allowed to linger or fester.

Turning her gaze briefly down the hall, she seen others coming, of note was the tan man who should have been the one being used as a meat shield. With her eyes blood red and snarling a smile that did not seem so happy, she briefly points her spear at him as she shield bashes another pirate.

"RUN AWAY AND I'LL SKIN YOU ALIVE HERMAN! KILL THEM! GET OVER HERE!"

The slash on her face streamed a bit of blood as it healed, likely matching the gore left by the two blood suckers and Shinobu's pocket artillery attack. Taking her spear into her right, she relies on movements heavily drilled in from training, to parry a blow to her back with the pole of her lance continuing with her battle rage as the melee intensifies. For now if they pushed quickly enough the attacks of the three flyers had opened the corridor beyond to the assault team.

Cera merely stood in vigilance as both Seven and Laura spoke to each other, with the latter telling him to stay safe. For the seasoned half-Infernal sellsword, she found the scene to be somewhat humorous. Perhaps she expected Laura to be more experienced, considering her tone and being a devout believer of the Divine One. Or perhaps this was her first time being a group leader?

"Comrade-in-arms, fellow soldiers."

Then comes the obligatory morale speech by the religious white-haired girl. Cera expected more from Laura as she cringed at the quality of her speech.

("You could have always recite the Oath of the Divine One rather than the insignificant fluff you have just made.")

She sighed as the following chant happened.

"UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL! MAY THE DIVINE ONE BE WITH US!"

Instead of joining the chant, Cera took out a silver pendant with the symbol of Luna and Sol intertwined with each other and kissed it. Unlike her fellow brethren, Cera worships both Luna and Sol, thanks to her religious parents. Then again, that speech worked, as the other mercenaries around her became lively. However, Cera continued to keep to herself. The last thing that she wanted was unnecessary emotion, especially in this line of work.

The boarding went smoothly than expected, at least in Cera's eyes. She remembered that the airboats she was in was at least severely damaged by the time she reached her objective. As such, Cera has to rely on her trusty grappling hook, or else she will end up being seafood.

"CHAAARGE!"

("May the Divine One forgive me as this lowly Servant of yours will shed blood in the name of... well, Order.")

With Ádalé and Laura leading the charge into the Golden Midas, Cera soon follow suit, taking the middle row of the formation so that she can keep an eye on Seven and the others staying on the rear flank. Using her custom Crimson Dragons grappling hook, she jumped into the landing bay. While on air, Cera curled into a ball before landing a dropkick to a pirate's face. As soon she has landed, Cera immediately retracted her grappling hook.

That was just the beginning, as pirates began to swarm her location, and one of them was already charging with his sword.

With no time to reach for her magitek sword, Cera has decided that the tool of the day is the custom grappling hook, the Dragon's Claw. Once he was in range, a pirate swung his one handed scimitar in full strength, downwards. Cera sidestepped to the left. As a counter attack, she swung the Dragon's Claw towards his right calf, creating a slashing injury and causing him to kneel on the ground. While the pirate was reeling from his leg injury, Cera pushed a lever on the custom grappling hook that retracted its bladed parts and turned it into a metallic bola.

Then the half Infernal ended the fight by swinging the Dragon's Claw into the pirate's head with resounding "CLANK!", along with the last cry of the unfortunate victim.

The scene of course, was unmistakably bone chilling despite being somewhat less bloody compared to the path of destruction carved by both Ádalé and Laura. The other pirates who surrounded Cera began to look each other in doubt, as the crimson-eyed sellsword spun her weapon and gave a condescending gaze at her enemies.

Fortunately, the stare-off was not too long. The pirates soon roared as they charged at the half-Infernal, weapons drawn.

Another pirate with the same scimitar as before approached Cera. Before he could do an attack however, the half-Infernal already threw the Dragon's Claw and struck his face, quickly ending the fight with a quick follow-up attack to the back of his head.

Then a burly pirate with a two-handed broadsword swung his sword horizontally at the black haired girl. Cera ducked under his sword, and delivered a blow to his gut that somewhat staggered him. However, the brute managed to power through the pain and proceeded to do a downward slash. The half-Infernal barely evaded the attack, before throwing the Dragon's Claw that struck the brute's left cheek, and another blow to his chin that knocked him into next week.

A pirate with a scar on his face soon joined into the fight with a smug. Cera frowned, and attacked first. The pirate deftly dodged her first strike by ducking down and did a slash on the half Infernal on her torso. The slash revealed the thick leather armor under her clothes. Cera staggered a few step backwards, while holding on the area she got slashed. The smug pirate continued on.

This time, Cera decided not to play by the books.

Evading one of his attacks, the half Infernal threw the metallic bola to the pirate's crotch... and it got hit. In a very uncomfortable way.

"Good night."

Cera quickly ended his misery by delivering a blow to his head, with a smile.

Then another pirate decides to do a sneak attack on her from the back. Sidestepping just enough to evade the attack, Cera did an elbow strike to his gut before throwing him to the nearest wall.

She finally remembered to check on the rear flank, only to discover that a pirate was heading straight towards Seven, intending to do a sneak attack on him. Cera threw the Dragon's Claw that transformed into a grappling hook mid-air and caught the pirate's clothes.

"Get over here!"

The half Infernal cried in her semi-demonic voice, before pulling the hapless pirate to her location. As the greenhorn pirate pleaded for his welfare, Cera kicked the pirate's head as hard as she could, sending another poor sod into next week. There were other pirates too, but they soon realized it was a futile attempt to fight against her and ran away or hid themselves. After retracting the Dragon's Claw...

"Whew." The half Infernal made exhaled a sigh of relief as the battle ended. "Are you are okay guys?" Cera turned at Seven and his group. "We need to catch up with Ádalé and Laura."

Then she heard crazed screams echoed in the air. The screams of a berserk Blood Devil. Cera sighed and shook her head as she knows what was happening on the other side of the Golden Midas.

"Mother of Mercy... May the Divine One provide solace to those who fell to her wrath."

With that, Cera continued on, in order to rejoin with Ádalé and Laura.

Taka was about to comment on how hard hitting moving targets while the platform he was shooting from shook and swerved, let alone he was firing a lesser rune cannon, was but in the end decided to keep it to himself. Firing a shot, he hit the engine of an enemy fighter, effectively leaving it dead in the sky. With no power to provide it with lift, all it could do was glide down towards the ocean and occasionally fire back. They'd be better off paddling as quickly as they could away from this. If he remembered rightly, the laws towards piracy in any nation were rather severe. Buras, meanwhile, was doing what he could. The fighters did not protect the pilot to much, and those pilots often didn't wear any goggles. A steep plunge with his talons outstretched often lead to one of those pilots loosing their ability of sight and at risk of crashing into something.

He stopped his firing of the lesser rune cannon once they passed through the first barrier of the Golden Midas, a redundant name if he's ever heard one, and pulled out his rifle. But he didn't really get the chance to use it, as the bay his captain had decided was the boarding point had been effectively cleared by the time everyone was safely out of his way. With a harrumph, he holds out his arm, and shortly after Buras lands on it. Moving the owl to his shoulder, he steps off the boarding vessel and begins to follow his captain only to hear people coming down a narrow hall towards them.

"Excellent," he said, quickly taking aim at where the pirates would come from and firing a shot at the first sign of one. The man that rounded the corner took a lucky bullet between the eyes, being just the right height at the wrong time. This bullet was quickly followed by more like it, only stopping when a large blast staggered Taka a bit. But after once more gaining his footing, the bullets once more begin to fly. Even as the melee fighters rushed in he fired, the bullets passing by their ears, the corridor being narrow enough for them to hear it as it flew past. This would be a quick fight, he'd make sure of it.

Yumi%20Tailline_zpszgkzwdji.jpg

Following up to the day of the attack, Yumi tried to take into consideration the captain's words but ultimately fell short of their intended meaning. While Yumi understood the captain's words as a mandate to share her thoughts, Yumi's actions suggested that she felt unsure how to implement such ideas. While she spent more time around Seven in the kitchen, even giving him positive feedback every now and again, every time it came off somewhat awkward. Specifically, it seemed like Yumi was waiting on some sort of event that simply never happened, making her conversations seem more abrupt and even random than they should have been. In addition, despite knowing that she needed a long range weapon, Yumi continued to save up her own money with the intent of purchasing her own armaments.

In preparation for the battle, Yumi lightened her training load, and stopped accepting duels. She knew that Agatha would be counting on her and the rest of her crew being battle-ready, so she couldn't risk anyone getting hurt or fatigued for the big day. Preparing her magical shielding, Yumi spent a short while in front of Helen's room. She knew the Lilum had yet to make friends on the ship despite her time here, and she felt concerned that she might grow anxious sleeping alone. But, Yumi ultimately concluded that it was not her place, yet. Maybe, if the fight goes well, she resolves to try again then.

The morning of, Yumi quietly checks how everyone feels about the day. Much to her relief, it seems like most everyone seems ready for the day. Nobody seemed particularly sick or demoralized, leaving Yumi to focus on the final bits of preparation she needed to support Agatha's team of Taka, Herman, Shinobu, Sorina, Marumei, and Charlotte. In this sort of team, she wanted to do what she could to let people play the frontline role that most of them clearly wanted to take. It would be rough finding a way to enter into the flow of the fight considering that she needed to take the frontline to fulfill her duties, but Yumi felt determined that if she could shift between vanguard and occupying the space between the frontline and Marumei, she could keep the team safe from any sort of trickery that the pirates might be up to.

The most frustrating part of the experience was the initial boat ride however. Neither possessing flight nor range, Yumi could do little more than attempt kinetic deflection of slow-moving projectiles and gather intel that would likely become obsolete by the time they encountered the threat. Upon landing, however, Yumi quickly found where she belongs on the battlefield. With Agatha's sheer ferocity, Yumi took to playing clean-up girl. Since she occupied the space just behind her, she could finish off any enemy that the others weakened, but did not kill. Anything Marumei targetted quickly became prey. With no sort of protection besides a low-yield magical shield, Yumi felt perfectly at home allowing the others to draw the attention of the ranged units, allowing her to work in relative peace.

Whenever anyone even looked at Marumei, Yumi took it as her personal mission to harass them so Marumei could focus on offense rather than defense. This changed on a dime when Shinobu gave them an opening. Placing down a time anchor, Yumi sprinted past even Agatha. Knowing her time was limited, she aimed to debilitate rather than kill, slashing a number of range units across their dominant hand, calling out, "These can't fight." She continues forward through the corridors until she stumbles upon an enemy ambush. A hail of gunfire sounds, but Yumi already lept back to her time anchor, right where Marumei was in the backlines. Now Yumi took the time to make note of her surroundings, looking for anything that might sneak up and attack Marumei before dashing back, trying to keep up with Agatha.

By this point, Yumi already feels the fatigue associated with the need to run headlong across large spaces just to stay relevant to the fight. While she was certainly capable of it, it was plain to see even to the less strategically minded that Yumi couldn't sustain this sort of fighting style.

Helen shuddered as she lit an unfortunate pirate alight with one of her fire balls, she had no qualms about killing to get the job done, but she hated causing unnecessary pain in the process, unfortunately however, the man in question had been about to shoot her, and there was no guarantee her wind magic would be able to kill him immediately, and while her Seraphic Liberators were great for defense, they had already taken several hits and she didn't want to risk breaking them at this point in the fight.
Speaking of which, she had less than half her erchius supply left.
After quickly finishing off the burning pirate, Helen decided to leave the front line combat to the vastly more effective members of the crew such as Agatha. After a quick check to make sure no pirates were aiming at her Helen flew back towards Marumei, intending to offer support with her magic.

After reaching her destination the young Lilim quickly descended, wings folding up into their dormant form, which she had made to slightly resemble an actual pair of folded wings.
Landing near Marumei she took stock of their situation.
The battle was definitely going in their favor, and she doubted her presence was even necessary for their victory... However she was there and would help in any way possible, though that was mostly just starting fires whenever enemies tried to regroup, or using magic wind to knock enemies off their guard and create openings, and she was satisfied at seeing her work lead to several quick killings by their own crew.
She decided not to go after Yellow Beard, after all, with as many melee experts as there were, she would just be in the way... Not to mention she had picked up several minor injuries herself, nothing serious but painful enough to make her think twice about re entering close range combat.

"AUUUGH!"

In the corner of his eye, Seven heard the scream of a pirate that had been trying to ambush him from behind. So it was true, the attack was able to take the pirates by enough surprise that they were reeling against the boarding action. Of course, the combat prowess of some of the others in the team was certainly something to be considered. Considering the bloody swath of carnage and destruction that the vanguard units were paving forward with.

"Whew."
"Are you are okay guys?" Immediate threats distinguished, Cera greeted Seven and the other rear units. "We need to catch up with Ádalé and Laura."

Seven merely agreed with silence. A silence that was getting interrupted with the bloodcurdling screams coming from another part of the ship.

"Mother of Mercy... May the Divine One provide solace to those who fell to her wrath."

The young man's expression remained stoic. Though internally he was scoffing at the irony Cera saying it. Her way of taking down foes wasn't any less charming to look at. Though, such a statement was moot, considering killing was ultimately part of this job.

Of course, since everyone was doing so well Seven really didn't need to do anything. No assisting in fighting, even less so any need for medical attention. The idea of having a medic was ill thought out anyway. If the boarding party failed they would either have to escape in a hurry or get killed. There was time for a medic to get to anyone until after the opposing crew had been cleared out.

@Miya

"Considering how things are going, I doubt any of us will be seeing any action. Anyway..." Said Seven took a step towards Cera. But suddenly, he bolted towards her.

"-Move!"

Cera felt as her rear and back slid onto the deck. Before her was a sizeable hole in the deck. Smoking, as if something had pierced right through it. Whatever it was that was meant to smash her, was able to go through the deck of the ship itself. Sven had pushed her away in the nick of time.

Come to think of it...

Neither he nor the supposed attacker were there.

Two decks down, a pile of rubble rustled. Puffing out dust as if it were alive.

"Kh... *Cough*"

Seven pushed himself up, overpowering the couple of pipes that were laying on top of him. In this cramped space below the deck, the debris and dust were only beginning to settle.

"You did a good job dodging that. You sure got lucky that you didn't get yourself smashed in the process."

Looking up and ahead, Seven found himself before a man with a red bandanna. It was a medium built man, very tall, with muscular arms. He wore a shortsword at his belt. But... Seven knew that was his secondary weapon.

"It's pretty reckless to be trying to come down from the mast with a hammer like that." Seven said as he wiped dust off of his mouth.

The pirate drew his short-sword. "Yeah. But, you must have good instincts. That was supposed be a sneak attack."

"I could tell you were coming from your shadow dropping down from above."

The pirate laughed heartily.

"Hahahah! You noticed it because you saw my shadow!? That's even less believable!"

Seven glanced up to the hole in the ceiling that he and the pirate had fallen through. He count tell that parts of his body had gotten scratched up from the fall. But, right now his adrenaline was pumping. Despite his calm demeanor. He wouldn't be feeling the irritations or pain until a little later.

He and the pirate had at least fallen down a couple of levels. There wasn't anyone above who would try following them down here.

At the moment, Seven was on his own under the decks of the ship.

Seven readied his fists, and the pirate readied his sword.

There wasn't much room in the lower levels. The outcome of this fight was going to be decided based on who could make the right first moves.

The pirate grinned, showing the full array of his yellow rotting teeth.

"You've lost your weapon boy. You're quite screwed, I'd say. Even without my hammer I can easily take you down if you're unarmed."

"You're quite mistaken." Seven replied. "I am my own weapon."

"Hah! You have a sharp tongue, I'll give you that! Sonic..."

The man pulled his sword backward and began to glow. It seemed to indicate that he was going to thrust, taking advantage of the added range his short-sword gave him over Seven's fists. Seven had to dodge it!

But, there wasn't that much room to move. Dodging just wasn't...

"THURST!"

Propelled by additional magic, the Man's short-sword and arm flew forward. Aimed to gut Seven then and there. It slashed... right into Seven. Shards of leather, gauze, and the contents of Seven's satchel exploded and scattered all around.

"Hah! You're Fi-BWAOH!!!"

A massive force slammed into the side of the pirate's jaw. He rolled over the floor and debris like a rag-doll. Before laying still.

Seven pulled out a plaque encrusted tooth off his gauntlet and flicked it aside. Walking over to the pirate he nudged his defeated with his foot. No response. He had been knocked out cold.

Confirming he had neutralized his opponent, Seven took the leather strap - the remains of the satchel that got caught in the attack - and looked it over. He frowned as he refastened it around his shoulder..

"Not good. I was supposed return this..."

Outside the the chamber, Seven heard the clatter of footsteps and frantic cries of other crew-members fully immersed in the chaos going on through the ship. It seemed like him and the pirate falling down into here was either regarded as a part of - or drowned out by the artillery fire from the Lughanta. No one was immediately eager to see the results of the supposed explosion that occurred in this room.

A brass ale stein clattered onto the ground in front of Seven. Having fallen from above. There was no way he would be able to climb through the ceiling.

He took this as a sign to try regrouping with the others. Thusly, seven walked over to the exit, with boards and pipes partially blocking it, and began the work to move them aside.

Even with Silva's firepower, Yellowbeard's crew is too much for her to prevent from boarding. But, with her rifle loaded with the special bullet, Silva kept her eyes on the Golden Midas, searching for it's captain, Yellowbeard. Then, from her rifle's scope, Silva saw a glimpse of Yellowbeard. But if she shoot now, she might miss and probably hit someone else, possibly her allies as well. Silva kept trying on getting a clean shot on Yellowbeard, unaware of her surroundings. It was then...

"Watch out!!"

Silva turned her head to the right and saw a pirate attempting to end her life. Her eyes widened at the surprise. She attempted to retaliate, even if she knows it was futile. But the luck seems to be with her, as the crew's Second-in-command saves her from the pirate who tries to take her life. "Don't get distracted! I'll cover you! Keep your eyes on the Midas!" says the Second-in-command. ". . . Thank you Aster." Was the only words that Silva could say to him. She then looked around the Lughanta's deck and saw that there are pirates boarding the ship, lots of it. Their numbers might surpass the crew that were stationed at the deck. "It looks like they might overwhelm us at this rate, I might have to take my eyes off the Midas once in a while..." Silva said, continuing to aim at the Midas with her rifle. Not aiming at Yellowbeard but at the pirate who is manning the Rune Cannon and immediately shoot him. "... That's another cannon down." Silva said to herself as she put her rifle aside. "I'll try to help here as well." Silva stood up as she draws her dagger from her hip. Readying to defend herself from the attackers.

After Aster finishes yet another pirate that were approaching Silva's location, another pair of pirates came approaching. Silva braces herself for the pirate's attack. A direct stab aiming for her heart, Silva predicted the attack and moved aside to dodge the attack. She attempted to parry by letting her dagger's blade meet with the pirate's blade. When the blade nearly hits the hilt, Silva made an upward motion, breaking the pirate's momentum and made him caught off guard. She immediately knees her opponent's gut, followed with her left arm wrapping around the pirate's neck into an inverted headlock. The pirate attempted to fight back but Silva drives her dagger into his back faster than him attempting to slash her, the pain from the stab stopped him from the attempt. Silva then drives the pirate's head into the floor, performing a DDT. Silva then goes on top of the downed pirate. "Die already!" Silva yelled as she stabs the dagger into the pirate's head, ending his life in an instant.

After a moment from the killing blow, Silva stood up. She took her rifle and fills it with Erchius fluid and load it with the special bullet. She looked at where the pirates are approaching her location, she then looked at Aster "I'm going to shoot, cover me." Silva said as she once again took aim at the Midas.

They had to find Yellow Beard. The sooner the better. The hard part about that was... where was he? He could be at the bridge, his own cabin, on the deck... maybe he wasn't even on his own ship? Alas Agatha already had ruled that out. What the white-hair lacked were information. Information she was about to get.

The white hair and armour of the Divine Knight had long taken the very same crimson color as her eyes - giving her anything but a holy look. While the initial fighting had a certain surprise effect that allowed Laura to make quick work of these sinners, the last few pirates she had killed were definitely more difficult.

Pulling her sword out of the corpse of yet another victim, it seemed like they were granted a moment of peace. Enough peace that Laura could now feel the stinging pain coming from a deep cut into her left cheek. It wasn't anything major but a wound she had received, nonetheless, earlier. For a moment Laura considered to actively boost the defensive capabilities of her Barrier Jacket but decided against it. Pain was something the Inquisitor was used to. After all, Israfil was rather fond of letting sinners repent through Flagellation... and Laura herself was just human too.

"Everybody alright?" The white-hair took a good look around. Seven, Cera, Adale, Saki, Drayton. Weren't there...two missing? Fliers? Fuck. Was being a commander also meant being a Kindergartener? Laura didn't have time to deal with this. "Saki, have you seen Wukong... Helen?" Waiting for an answer, Laura proceeded.

"Everyone, as you may know we have to find Yellow Beard so... give me a moment." While Laura had absolutely no doubts in regards to any of her kills, as it was Israfil's will, she was also glad that at least some of her companions did not share that view. Precisely because...

"Wake up, scum." She tried to wake up one of the unconscious Pirates. Kicking him. Shaking him. Punching him. It took some effort but slowly, he woke up. "Tell me, where is Yellow Beard?" Laura made a simple request, really. In fact, some may have even called the Inquisitor naive as the pirate slowly realized the situation he was in before he spit at her bloodied face. "As if I'd sell my capta--"

"OOWWWWHHHH!" He cried out in pain. A look of frustration, anger and confussion on his face. "I ask again. Where is Yellow Beard?" Usually, Laura had more tools and time to work with. But right now? It had to be fast and dirty. "You can suck my d-"

CRACK
Eight to go

"We can do this all day." Laura's voice was without emotion and cold. "And you have plenty more bones, not to mention flesh, to spare." This time Laura gave him a warm, but frightening, smile before she asked again. "Where is Yellow Beard?" Silence. A second. A few secon- "AAAHHH STOOOOPPP ITTT!"

CRACK
Seven to go

Where is Yellow Beard?" - "I-I don't know! R-Reall- ARGH"

CRACK
Six to go

Laura gave it a sigh before she let go off the whimpering, on the ground lying, pirate's hand and went towards the other arm - getting into a position to simply break the entire thing at once. "You're a bad liar. We both know I don't have t-" - "THE UPPER DECK!" He finally yelled before Laura could even finish. "He is on the upper deck! I swear! Our Captain wouldn't just hide himself somewhere for such an important battle! Yeah! Just go get him and once he is done with you I'll make you my personal whore you fucking b-" Another strong knock on his head and the crippled pirate was unconscious once more.

With that, Laura was just about to lead the way once again when something came crashing down: Swirling up a big cloud of dust that made the Divine Knight cough. "Everybody alright?!" Laura asked as the dust slowly cleared.

"Seven..." The crimson-eyed girl stared at the hole in horror, while sitting on the ground. "He just pushed me away and..." Cera gently shook her head. "Then I heard something crashing down. Perhaps something crashed on him."

Just. Great. While the two fliers not appearing in the first place was one thing, Laura wouldn't leave anyone she was supposed to look after behind. Her glowing wings once again appearing on her back she could only hope he was okay as she descended into the hole.

"..." Laura witnessed the small fight that the red-hair Seven had with the now defeated pirate just shortly before she landed. Yeah. Kitchen boy alright. "Hey, wait!" Were the only words the blood-soaked Knight could speak as she saw Seven already moving towards another exit/entrance before the entire ship vibrated for a moment - clearly taking some serious damage.

What followed next was part of the already damaged room crashing down even more, seperating Laura and Seven through a gigantic wall of debris. "Are you alright?!"

Laura asked before she got an answer - Seven was unharmed.

"After having you seen beat that pirate I am confident enough you'll be fine on your own. Yellow Beard is on the top deck, so try to regroup with us as quickly as you can!" With those words Laura, once again, took flight to the rest of the group.

"Seven is fine, don't worry about him." She told Cera and anybody else worrying about the red-hair before pointing towards a set of stairs. "As long we go up we should sooner or later get to Yellow Beard... and Seven."

...
...
...

It took the group a while. After some more fighting and finding their way through the belly of the ship, Laura &co found themselves on the deck. As if the pirates below weren't enough it just swarmed with them on the deck. And undoubtedly, there he was, the man ready to give the command to slaughter them all: Yellow Beard.

BOOM
"Fucking Blood Devils, and, what's up with that bitch's gun?!" A pirate screamed as he was pushed back by a shockwave as a wooden door exploded that he had just closed behind him. Clearly, he was running away. "Are you stupid?" Another voice answered. "Good on me that I decided to check up on you trash." She sighed. "TELL EVERYBODY TO FALL BACK!" For a moment, the remaining pirates looked puzzled.

Ruu facepalmed. She had to yell commands. Loud enough for the enemy to hear. Thus, she had to keep it as vague as possible, couldn't that trash even understand that. Of course, she could also just feed those mercs some wrong information but... "YOU WANT TO WIN THIS BATTLE, NO? SO JUST FOLLOW JOHNNY HERE BEFORE I END YOU ALL MYSELF." That was enough for all, well, most, of the pirates to be back into some degree of order. Getting closer to Johnny Ruu now said. "Get most of them onto the Bridge, we'll get them with our numbers."

If this cursed mercs were this close to, well, the Bridge, it simply meant that was their destination. "You, you and you. Stay with me." Handpicking some random goons, as even the hot-headed dragon Youkai wasn't stupid enough to face all of them alone, she simply... waited. At least for a few seconds. "STOP MAKING UP PLANS AND FUCKING HURRY ALREADY OR ARE YOU TOO FUCKING AFRAID TO FIGHT A LITTLE GIRL AND A BUNCH OF NOBODIES?" With an excited grin on her face, the Youkai was ready for anything. "They got some sort of explosive gun or something, so watch out for that!" A pirate, however, warned her.

"Anyone called for some monkey business?" a familiar-sounding voice was heard, directed at Laura. "Oh, my bad, were we supposed to be stealthy?"

That was when Wukong appeared, with a pair of unconscious mooks over her shoulder.

"Uh... you need more answer-givers?" Wukong asks as she observes Laura interrogating a mook. She looks at her torturing one, breaking his fingers, one by one until there were none.

That was an exaggeration, for six were left.

"H- hey, what's goi-" one of the mooks Wukong was carrying woke up. Wukong grabbed her Ruyi Jingu Bang with her mouth, knocking both mooks on the head.

"Nothing you two have to see," Wukong laughs. "I'm saving you guys the trouble."

A few scenes later, one of which involved Wukong tossing the one of the two unconscious mooks at their Golden Midas brethren, the group came across the legendary Yellowbeard.

"First move!" Wukong, with great tossing, flings the second unconscious mook at Yellowbeard at full force. "That ought to work!"

And now, the other mooks. Using the Ruyi Jingu Bang as a central pole, Wukong spun about it, kicking the foes that swarmed the area.

Saki shrugged at Laura's question. "They were here just a little while ago," she replied. "I guess they got lost in all the confusion of the fighting." She wasn't keeping the best track of her allies, true. But they should still be around, unless they managed to do something unusual.

She winced at the way Laura extracted information. Sure, it was...efficient, but was this really what a holy inquisitor-type did? weren't they supposed to be all honorable and stuff, or was that some other kind of fancy knight? Still, they knew where to go next.

"Hey, Seven," she shouted over to the young man, "Stay safe over there." Good to know he wasn't dead or anything, but with things going as they were, it was no guarantee. "I'm sure he can take care of himself," she added to the others. He wouldn't even be there otherwise.

Wukong's arrival probably set aside at least some of their leader's worries, although Helen was still nowhere to be seen. Saki briefly wondered why they didn't just fly out and onto the top deck, as taking their way through the ship was going to be a waste of some talents, but she didn't question the wisdom of Laura's course of action and followed along with the others.

The pirates were actually beginning to show a solid resistance, particularly when it came to fighting inside their own ship. They set up at choke points to slow the boarding party's progress. It made for slow going, when only a few could stand at the front and there was hardly the room to fly and get behind their enemies. By the time they reached the top deck and once again greeted the sun, Saki was bloodied, battered, and had been slammed into walls more times than she could count.

And of course, there were more pirates. Plenty more pirates. It wouldn't be worth taking to the air except to be a big obvious target, but it would make an easy escape if she needed it. "Jeez, just how many guys are on this boat? Better try to stick together, or we'll just get surrounded and overwhelmed."

No room to maneuver was one of the worst situations for her chosen style, but at least she had that again, outside of the hallways. "Someone at least watch my back." She stepped up to met the oncoming fighters not already engaged in the melee with boarders from the other mercenary ships. Saki kept to the basics: parry and counter, sidestep and attack, get hit and swear. It looked like they'd really have to carve their way to the good captain.

"Stop getting in my way, damn it!" she shouted as she clashed with a pirate. A swift kick in the leg put him off balance long enough for her to land a decisive strike, but there were plenty more where that came from. Saki was knocked aside by a charge and winced as a sword carved into one arm, the blade skittering across the thicker scales but unimpeded through more tender flesh. "Damn...at least I know where they've been keeping the guys with real fight in them." Saki returned the favor with a swing of her own sword, expending one of it's cartridges to cloak he blade in magical flames.

"Still kickin'," Drayton replied, rotating his right shoulder before sheathing his blade. After the first few pirates were taken down, the newbies most likely, the veterans and elites began to charge in. In single combat, the more hardened pirates weren't too huge of a threat, but taking on multiple of the hardened scoundrels proved enduring. Drayton had scored a few more kills under his belt before seeking to regroup with Laura and the others, but just the same he had acquired more injuries. His apparel was somewhat torn and heavily bloodied, but he looked worse than he actually was. Most of it wasn't his blood—probably. "Looks like these pirates ain't half bad! I was starting to think those we took on at the beginning were the best."

Bringing a hand up to massage the back of his neck, the twin swordsman approaches the rest of the group, watching Laura as she approaches an unfortunate survivor of their assault and proceeds to—persuade him. Drayton didn't show any visual signs that he was against how she went about garnering her information, but he definitely was surprised by the look of his widened eyes, but going by his response to the sight, it seemed he was in the end more impressed than anything. "...Well, damn... Pretty face has a scary side. Nice."

Unfortunately before their progress could resume, an explosion rocked the portion of the ship they inhabited. Dust, a giant hole and a shaken Cera. Soon enough Laura flew off to go inspect Seven's status. Sighing, the thief adopted a frown at this. He wasn't naive enough to believe that there would be no casualties, but he at least hoped the person who didn't sign up for this would make it back. But, as luck would have it, the team's leader would soon return with news that the kitchen staff was unharmed. Smirking, maybe it would turn out that the captain was right; the cook held more potential than his work in the kitchen. "Alright then... Let's go kill this bastard!" Despite the swordsman's somewhat horrific appearance, he looked as fired up as ever. It would take more than a few cuts and bruises to keep him down.

Advancing to the main deck with the rest of the team, they now laid eyes on an army of pirates and their commander, Yellowbeard. Whistling, while possessing a stupid name, the infamous pirate at the least held an imposing size. "He's a biggun'... ain't he?" Standing towards the front of the group and placing a hand on the grip of Steelrune, the gung'ho approach definitely wouldn't do it here. "So... uh... got any special plans in mind, boss lady? Or should we just start cuttin' an' hope for the best?"

A shiver went through the smith's spine, hearing the furious roar of the Blood Devil with his name on it, for an unspecified reasoning. Hoo, boy... These vampires sure are pants-shittingly scary... Gripping the tight on his weaponry, Herman and the others continued onward. They were met with more resistance from the pirates, and the battle raged on.

"Huff... Huff... Haaaaa..."

Herman slumped over to the ship's steel-enforced walls, taking a quick breather as the others recuperated and chased the fleeing opposition. Scattered bodies all around, some more brutalized than the others. Their weapons truly were a work of art to be capable of something so wide-scaled. The sound of explosion followed, by the astro-girl's weaponry, breaking through the wooden door that was just barricaded for the sole purpose of stalling them. Herman whistled in awe. Agatha surely made the right decision in picking her boarding crew. These guys are experienced to the core, and reliable to boot.

As they resumed their charge, Herman and the others encounter, just in front of their objective...

"A little girl..? On this ship-- Guh..!"
A spray of bullets caused the smith to fall back and hide on the corner. The one leading them was a dragon youkai, judging by her appearance. She was small, but was seemingly strong enough to be capable of wielding a huge-ass sword twice her size. Along with her were three pirates, most likely her subordinates. Their fire was unrelenting. Stopping on their tracks, they confronted the enmities before them.

The boarding assault had been progressing well thus far, they were making solid progress without too many delays. However, Agatha noticed that the deeper they went into the Midas, the pirates they faced were different. These ones actually knew how to fight beyond taking awful shots and flailing cutlasses randomly. Previously, her group could breeze through without much effort in the landing bay but now, they had to actually mind their moves. Still, the Captain wasn't surprised, this should be a given considering Yellow Beard was the most successful pirate band in Bumi. He couldn't achieve that with a ragtag crew.

"Tch!" Agatha slammed the end of her quarterstaff against a pirate's belly, stunning him before she smacked him in the head, giving him a heavy enough concussion to make him lay sprawled on the floor. Shortly after, the twintailed human noticed a warm trickle on her chin, the scum almost managed to cut her face, huh? Giving a quick review of her group, the conclusion was obvious, a prolonged battle would meet certain death. "We must hurry! To the bridge!" The path towards the airship's command center was obvious enough and Agatha was confident her group could take on anything the bridge crew had to dish out.

"TELL EVERBODY TO FALL BACK!"

Of course, what she didn't expect was the sudden unmistakably feminine voice. "Wha-..." That actually made her pause a little. What was a young girl doing in this airship of pirates? Not only that, she was barking out commands. The sheer contrast made Agatha quite cautious as she raised a right hand, "Hold up, everyone." ordering for the group to stop. The bridge was close now, they just had to turn right at the next intersection. However, judging by the direction of this tomboyish voice, the enemy was ready to defend the bridge. Taking a deep breath, Agatha pressed herself against the wall, before taking a quick peek at the corridor leading towards the bridge.

"Gah?! She only had a second before magitek projectiles start flying towards her, forcing her to draw back. However, she managed to get a solid look at the one figure who stuck out like a sore thumb. To further help her case, one of her crewmates was most likely of the same species as this foe. "Pirates, a lot of them, and a dragon youkai is leading them." Agatha narrowed her eyes, what were the odds to have one of Saki's kin here? Nevertheless, she was fighting for Yellow Beard, that made her an enemy.

"I don't like this, but we don't have much time either." The brunette faced the group, there was no time for detailed planning, they'd have to improvise. "Those who can endure rifle fire, at the front. We'll charge them." Then she turned towards Shinobu, "Still got any of those stun bullets? Use it. Now." then at the smith, "Follow up with your bazookas, Herman! After that, we charge!"

@Laura's Group

"Arrr!!" With a defiant roar, Yellow Beard unleashed another fireball from his hand-cannon, striking an airboat square in the middle. The poor vessel lost its ability to stay afloat and came careening down towards the Midas' deck. "Harr harr harr!!" The blonde pirate captain guffawed heartily as the airboat crashed, taking some of the merc boarders with it. He was about to smash some more Venesian dogs' head before someone threw a body at him. "Hmmmgrh?!!" He grabbed the body, recognizing it as one of his men.

"Who?!" He lay it down, surprisingly respectful towards his own men, then turned toward the one responsible. An orange-haired infernal wielding an oversized staff for her size! This bitch had the gall to humiliate him and his men? "Cur!!!" All it achieved was angering him further. Seriously, what did Wukong expect? "Aaaaarrrrgggh!!" Without giving her a chance to execute her flashy move the giant of a man charged towards her, smashing away mercs in his path before slamming down his huge cutlass, unleashing an electric sword wave. Wukong's needlessly complicated maneuver left her wide open, enough for the wave to slam full force at her location and erupted into an explosion of golden electrical energy. She was launched towards the sky as the result, pain from both the force and lightning made sure she wouldn't walk out of this with just minor wounds.

"Yaaarrrrr!!" However, the pirate captain wasn't done yet, his enraged golden eyes now fully locked towards Laura's group. As befitting his fondness for all things gold and shiny, he noticed the dragon youkai swordsman first. If not for the color of her scales, her wings would stand her out. Someone like Ruu, huh? Dragon or not, she was with these mercs and therefore, she was a dog! Just like the rest of them! "Haaaarrrrrr!!!" Undaunted by Saki's flaming blade, Yellow Beard too coated his own magitek weapon in lightning. He charged towards her without fear, facing the mighty dragon head on. Their blades clashed and perhaps for the few times in her life, Saki could feel her draconic strength failing in the face of this behemoth. By the third exchange, she was wavering and Yellow Beard capitalized on this by slamming his left knee right into her gut before smacking her face with his elbow, sending her away.

"Sleep with the fishes, dogs!!" He quickly aimed his cannon towards Laura's group and launched a raging sphere of golden flames. If they wanted to keep themselves in one piece, they better moved out of the way. Some of the veteran pirates noticed their captain and moved to back him up, matching the Inquisitor's band man to man. Fierce, bloodied, and experienced, these were the men who had been with Yellow Beard ever since he was a mere humble coast guard in Azura. They would never surrender, never relent, they were ready to die for their captain.

@LowDefinition

The sniper lady wasn't half bad, Aster might have underestimated her ability in close quarters combat. However, it was still pointless if she had to keep fending off pirates while her rifle lay neglected. "Roger that!" The blue-haired man switched his elemental weapon into a water whip for superior range, standing guard near Silva as he kept the scums off her.

Through the chaotic battlefield of the decks of both the Lughanta and Golden Midas, Silva could finally spot the infamous pirate captain... along with Laura and her group as he rampaged through them. While she had vision of him now, the nature of the battle kept him moving around and combined with all the distractions around her, it was obviously a risky shot. Not to mention, she could hit her allies instead. Would she take it? Or would she rather save her precious Widower bullets for less important, but nonetheless threatening target? Such as the pirate sniper on a higher platform who was aiming a long musket at Adale's back...

@Ehb

Separated from his group and with debris blocking off the way he fell into, the redhead kitchen hand was forced to proceed on his own through the lower decks of the Golden Midas. As expected, there wasn't much going on here as everyone was busy battling the mercenaries above. However, as he made his way to the upper decks, he could hear a distinct hum amidst all the chaotic echoes. Yes, the signature humming of a Magitek Engine. It seemed the path he took was quite close to the Midas' Engine Room. The Midas was currently at battle stations, but it should be an obvious conclusion that such an important part of the airship would have at least a few guards among the engineers maintaining them. Taking it over would enable him to sabotage the ship's Rune Cannons. However, the fact still stood that he was just one man, perhaps it would be best to rejoin his crew instead?

Taka dropped many pirates as they ran through the corridors, reloading as quickly possible as he ran behind the others. Occasionally he'd have to turn his rifle into a sword and parry a pirate that appeared from seemingly nowhere, but for the most part he remained safely in the back lines. Buras, being able to do little in these confined spaces, could only swivel his head around and shout warnings to the best of his ability. Only Taka could understand him, so his shrieking wouldn't stop a sword swing if the person he was shrieking at didn't turn around. Luckily, the few times that did happen, Taka was there to intercept the weapon with his own, if not outright shooting it out of their hands with a well placed shot to the wrist. These were pirates after all. They were willing to kill Lughanta crewmen, it was only right for Lughanta crewmen to be willing to kill these pirates.

They were making good progress, even he could tell. Until the quickly had to dive around a corner to avoid being riddled with magitek rounds. The firing squad, what little he got a look at, was lead by a dragon youkai, as Agatha told them shortly after nearly getting her head blown off. And then the plan was to not have him introduce flames to his rounds and have them explode on contact alongside Herman's explosive ranged blasts, but to attempt to stun them and charge headlong into who knows what. Oh well, he wasn't the captain.

"I need a match." he said to no one in particular as he patted several pockets. 'Left breast pocket.' Buras told him. "Ah, thank you." What he pulled out was a box of matches. Quickly lighting one of the many matches and securing it to the end of his rifle, he looks around at the no doubt confused stares that he was getting having just talked to an owl and tying a lit match to his rifle. "What? I was looking for my matches."

"Well, I guess I got on his 'dishonourable warrior' list," Wukong said while doing the opposite of her usual grin. She actually felt a little bad after that move of throwing the mook at Yellowbeard, since she herself had travelling allies.

"Guess that makes me a dishonourable warrior now. Wonder if I should go all the way."

She expected Yellowbeard to be distracted or slash through his mook. Well, getting mad was one consideration, but his motivations for getting mad - not thought out.

For a big, bulky man, Yellowbeard had great agility as he used his great blade to launch a lightning-based attack upon Wukong. Must be the adrenaline. This strike had enough force to create a shockwave that knocked Wukong into the sky.

"I'm blasting off not-really again!" Wukong says as she flew through the air, not with the aid of devices, but exerted kinetic force from the blast. She decides to call in an old friend of hers with a single whistle.

From her back, a hoverboard was conjured. It circled the flying Infernal before it produced golden smoke that gave the illusion that it was a cloud.

"Gah!" Wukong exclaims, feeling pain. Apparently her legs were a little burnt from lightning, most particularly her left. "If he got this leg, I just won't use my legs! Easy solution!"

And so, Wukong rode on her hoverboard, with Ruyi Jingu Bang on hand. She was noticeably sitting down, for the prior mentioned reason of her legs being less than optimal.

"Sleep with the fishes, dogs!"

That was what Wukong heard as she dashed back. Obviously Yellowbeard, based on the tone. Sitting on her golden cloud-like structure, she spins her Ruyi Jingu Bang around like a propeller at high speeds, in an effort to intimidate Yellowbeard.

"Actually, I'm more of a monkey than a dog, maybe we can come to a compromise and say that I'm a monkeydog, or a dogmonkey. On second thought, that wasn't very funny when I say it out," Wukong comments as the Ruyi Jingu Bang moved away from her hands, still rotating in the position it was from while Wukong scatters with everyone else in Laura's group. Afterwards, it would proceed to ram into the various mooks that backed Yellowbeard, much like a boomerang, before returning to Wukong's..

... mouth?

Wukong's right arm was too busy holding her left arm up with her right arm to handle anything else, it seemed.

"Nnn yyrr fffsss!" Wukong mocks, presumably.

As expected of a half-demon monster, Sorina had no problems with charging in and putting herself in mortal danger in order to bathe herself in blood. As others rushed into the fray as well, Shinobu lingered in the back. Now that everything had devolved into a frantic, bloody melee, there was no longer much need for her to get involved at all. Her own rifle was meant to act as a portable cannon, after all, until Taka's peashooter. Keeping her explosive rounds chambered, the raven-haired woman continued on behind everyone else, occasionally firing off another blast to tear through whatever barricades they had.

Simple work, really. Standard procedure would be for each Dragon Eater to be supported by a squad of gunmen, because melee specialists were really trash in this era of high-powered, long range weaponry, but Shinobu would have to make do with being their door-knocker for now. Continuing to march through the hallways that were cleared by the vanguard, Shinobu didn't even spare a glance towards the winged witch that ignored her orders in order to avoid confrontation with Yellowbeard. She can do whatever she wanted.

After all, Shinobu doubted Agatha would be pleased if Helen was executed on the spot for disobedience.

The path continued to open up, Sorina's bloodrage clearing the way as everyone else served to just pick up the scraps she left behind. For all their numbers, it looked like the shock and awe effect of a blood-drunk vampire and an ear-shattering explosion was working miracles. The pirates were no doubt retreating to reinforce their position in protecting the entrance to the bridge, because it was foolhardy to start any sort of fight within the bridge itself.

Too many switches, nozzles, fuses, and anything else to protect, after all. If there's any significant damage inflicted upon the bridge itself, the airship was just as doomed as if the Erchius engine was ruptured.

And then…their opponent started to scream. A little girl was the leader of the enemy forces? Shinobu stifled a laugh, even as both Agatha and Herman almost got their heads blown off by peeking over the corner. Pressing her back against the wall, the ex-soldier drew out a blade and used its reflection to see where their enemy laid. Behind them was a door, most likely leading to the bridge.

She let out a breath, listening to Agatha's orders.

"This is where we part ways," Shinobu said, pointing up to the ceiling, "Charging is too dangerous, Agatha. This entire corridor is a kill zone, and they're heavily armed. The effectiveness of the Thunderwave rounds is decreased at the range they're at, and they're fully aware of it now. Sorina, our main vanguard, has also been worn down by her constant fighting and charging, while no one else here can take a hit. We didn't join to throw our lives away."

Irrational strategies like that are what made Shinobu grimace.

"An airship has multiple floors, a fact that is rarely taken advantage of when boarding. Yumi, Charlotte, John, you're coming with me. Agatha and the rest, use the cover that this hallway provides and just fire down the hallway. Distract them as necessary. The four of us will advance from the floor above, break down from below, and we can initiate a two pronged surprise attack. Sorina, alert me if it looks like they're doing a full-on retreat."

She loaded up a Fireball, turned to Herman, and said, "Time your shots to mine. Be as obnoxiously loud as possible. Three, two one."

Shinobu pulled the trigger, and a nice-sized hole exploded on the ceiling above.

Without waiting for the others, she leapt up, grasped the edge, and pulled herself onto the upper floor.

ulLOxmi.png

Hacking and slashing her way down the halls and to there current location, stabbing at anything that got near, well at least that wasn't allied, Sorina leads the way. Glaring angrily at Taka briefly along the way, the man had came close to shooting her more than once. Naturally he would claim he was a great shot and there was nothing to worry about, but it was her body on the line. Then the smaller girl Yumi, wasn't that her name? Made a quick appearance that was more appreciated, though much more short lived. Carrying through the assault with her enraged state, Sorina follows the path towards the bridge, stabbing, killing, shoving, or smashing those in her way, leaving stragglers and those in the other directions to the attack team.

Taking a few blows here and there and even a few more impacts to her armor, if not a few piercing shots judging by blood, though not totally her own, the Blood Devil eventually calms back down as Agatha passes forward of her with Herman. At least finally getting a breather she could relax.

Or so she thought.

The next instant Sorina finds herself joining the others as a hail of gunfire erupts at the direction of a Dragon Youkai from the looks of it. "Damnable Lizards!" Grunting what she hears next pleases her even less;

"Those who can endure rifle fire, at the front. We'll charge them."

By those who could endure, she no doubt meant her.. And she wanted to do a frontal charge. Grimacing this was going to hurt, the armored warrior knew that much, those men were either firing in volley or had more advanced, or at least higher capacity weaponry. Though her armor and cloak provided protection, it had been roughed up enough just reaching this point. But they still had to advance more to reach the Bridge and to end this once and for all.

Momentarily gripping her lance with only three fingers of her right hand, the index and thumb grip the red jewel affixed to her chest. As if to be some form of decorative clasp, In reality a Magitek device. Glowing briefly from her touch and being brought quickly to her mouth, it seemed to be some sort of blood reservoir, crimson liquid spilling forth, leaving only a metallic frame. Gulping it down quickly the clasp is returned in place, as the Demonic Aristocrat heaves a few deep breaths.

Given the nature of her fighting abilities and what injuries happened along the way, she badly needed to replenish what blood she had used up. "I hope you know how difficult it is to fill that Captain.. I'll wait for a signal. Then I'll try to ram the gunners through, or at least to pin the Lizard to a duel, but I alone cannot finish this charge.." Grinning a bit thinly she had an order to carry out, even if she didn't much like it, in truth this tactic worried her greatly, even the fact she would be seriously wounded or killed crossed her mind, closing her eyes that was a fact she was reminded of more often than not by her family and the instructors, now was time to earn her keep yet again, opening her eyes, she at least had to put a brave face on things, dishonor to House Caramitru could not be allowed..

"Oho, Well, time to be shot some more. Rejoice Comrades and Peasants, my armor can bare yet more.." With a rather glum look to her expression Sorina steadies herself , Tower Shield in hand, a bit more red from all it had impacted with than it was before. Closing her eyes as if to count with her slow breaths, Sorina turns to face the hall opening in a side strife. But is suddenly stopped by the words of Shinobu.

Now to a relieved exhale it seemed older soldier had an idea that amounted to more than using herself as a shield in a forward charge. Listening to the plan it didn't seem the flyers leader was negotiating or requesting permission so much as carrying out her own plan of orders, the end result of this after mission could prove most amusing. But she wasn't about to rebuke a plan that gave her less chances of being turned into aged cheese. "Sure. I'll keep them distracted, with the help of a few of the others."

Watching the countdown followed by the explosion, Sorina briefly turns her attention to the older man, well Youkai Taka and Herman. Giving a head jerking motion, as if to say follow me, the armored Blood Devil crouches down behind her tower shield to present as small a target as possible, walking hunched over and to the opening, it isn't long before rounds already start impacting, various elemental energies smashing and scattering across the shield. At least with this she could be somewhat protected, even if a few rounds may get through and it would give the shooters more room to engage from.

Smiling thinly behind the shield, while she would not start a charge yet, she would technically at least be partly following Agatha's command, though if she did advanced any before Shinobu was in position it would be a slow tactical advance. While she wouldn't mention it, it was highly unlikely she would join the assault on the bridge, just getting to this point had been draining enough. Yelling at the pirates and Dragon girl, Sorina at least attempts living up to the part of a distraction.

"Ehehe! I'll come for your skins soon enough cowards!"

Audience to a Slaughter
"I would say bloody hell, but I am afraid it would be literal at this point." John commented as he followed behind Sorina through the halls. "How is she still in one piece?"

John had unintentionally given himself front row seats to a blood shower by deciding to follow in Sorina's shadow. Her killing spree knew no end it would have seemed and the nickname "vile woman" took a whole new meaning. There was no one she would not skewer and no death unimaginable for her blood lust. Men were "shish kabobbed" while covered in Sorina's and their mates' blood. John tried his best to keep composure, but some moments were too gruesome and compelled his gag reflex to twitch.

However, John was not a lost puppy following its master during this bloodshed. What lives he did have to take were unimportant, quick deaths, and mainly off-guard pirates who didn't notice John following the demon Sorina. Sometimes she'd charge forward and John would catch the unlucky pirate who dodged Sorina's attack. Other times pirates would shoot out of rooms and John would swiftly take them down, but very few times did John encounter an enemy any other way, Sorina really lowered the threat level he produced.

The enemies they encountered soon became more experienced as they made their way closer to the more important parts of the ship. Agatha even sustained a minor wound. Though, luck would have it that an order was given to the pirates calling them to retreat and so they did. John moved forward, the child-like voice doing little to stun him, but it shocked the rest of the crew. Defined by her voice, the small youkai captain took everyone by surprise before anyone had laid eyes on her. John was certainly thrown off, but being around Agatha made him just a bit more used to it, and after experiencing the full extent of Sorina's power a little girl's voice was the most soothing thing to hear. Even if it did aim to kill him. However, when Agatha peeked the corner to get a good look at their enemy a storm of cover fire forced her to retreat, but her face told John that the enemy was quite a surprise to her. Not something he wanted to see on his leader's face.

"A youkai? She sounds young. Shouldn't be that much of a problem, she's just barking orders. No real planning in her head." John said as he held his bloody blade at his side.

Agatha's description of the enemy was brief, but all that was needed. However, her plan of attack made John worried again. There was no way they would all survive an assault like that, it only took one well placed round to kill a man. Fortunately, Shinobu suggested a safer alternative, but too late for Sorina who had already got ready to charge and followed through. Then like that the operation started. John followed Shinobu through the ceiling.

"I have seen bloodshed before, but on levels like this? Never." John muttered to no one in particular.

Seven shielded his eyes and face as the the hole in the roof had more debris block it. Dashing any hopes of returning to the top deck through there. Laura, confirming his safety, instructed him on what to do further, now that he was more or less on his own. With Laura departed to return to the group and continue the assault, the young man found this a most excellent opportunity to standby. He was relatively confident that his allies would be able to overcome the rest of the opposing crew - and since it was the captain's orders to keep capture as opposed to destroy the ship, it would stand as a good excuse to hunker down until the fighting ended.

However, the swath of debris inching towards falling on top of him, and the crashing girder that pierced through the floor just then left him without much choice. He had to go.

He wandered. The halls of the ship were cramped and dimly lit. That was about a given though, considering it was an pirate airship. Power and space meant for luxury were traded out for weapons systems and a lighter vessel. Keeping out of sight as best he could. Luckily, much of the crew was moving top deck in order to repel the boarders, so the under-decks were, comparatively clear for the most part. Unfortunately for Seven, and opportunity had come about. The ships' generator could be heard nearby.

By good fortune, he was able to vantage out who was present in the generator room through a narrow ventilation cover in the adjacent hallway. Several engineers and a few guards meant to protect against them being overtaken. Though, really, once one of the above boarders came in everyone inside would probably be dealt with very quickly.

There was no one else in sight. The 'Engineers' had that timid look about them. They weren't the typical burly looking engineer types - rather, it seemed like they might've been actually kidnapped from other vessels to operate the system on this one. Seven had heard about useful ship crew being offered spots on a pirate crew - oft under the duress of being marooned on some island on the middle of nowhere with the rest of their defeated crew. Maybe - the guards were just there to make sure they'd stay orderly through all of this.

No matter. On his own, Seven needed to assume the worst - that he was on his own.

Five guards versus himself in such confined quarters was out of the question. Additionally, the generator room itself only had one way in. This hallway appeared to do a loop around the generator room itself. making the area a bit of a Hub within this level of the ship - though again, since the crew was occupied with the boarders, the immediate area was only occupied by himself and the occupants of that generator room.

In any case, even if this little recess with the ventilation was a good hiding spot, Seven really couldn't stand to stay there for too long. For some reason, this area smelled... really bad. Like a latrine. Was this ventilation point connected to one? No actually. A bit hidden by the darkness, Seven spotted it. This little corner here was were engineering crew must've gone to relive themselves.

No one else from the boarding crew was here. This was good. He could go all out if he really needed to. But, considering the skill of the vanguard up top... that likelihood was far off, but all options remained on the table.

....

"Oh man, it don't sound good up there. They already boarded the ship and are slaughtering everyone...Ugh...? Do you smell that?"
"Yeah, it smells like... Urine? It's coming from over there."
"It IS Urine! And it's coming from our latrine!"

One of the Guards scoffed at the absurdity of the situation.

"Heh! Wither that was from the ship getting rocked by the explosion or someone just doesn't give a damn anymore."
"No seriously, we can't let it touch the equipment! That'd be really bad!"
"Uaagh, the smell. I can't take it....!"
"Oooo.... OOoaugh! I don't think Urine is the only thing I'm smelling..."
"Shut up! We have to keep these things running! I'll cut any of you engineers who try to leave!"
"I'm literally going to vomit."

"Then do it outside, Lilyliver! Then come back."

....

It was really crude way of doing it. But, whatever worked. A diversion and a way to force some of the people out of the room. It was no doubt something that'd be hard to ignore. Seven eyed around the corner as the uncomfortable squashes coming from the engineer ceased.

"Whooo, Oh gosh. I'm, not going back there....!"

The crewmamber began to sickly waddle away down the hall.

"Hey you bastard, where's you think yer going!"

One of the pirate guards. Perfect. This was a target.

....

"Hey come back damn it... Huh?"

The pirate felt a tap on his shoulder. Instinctively, he turned around. Just in time to meet a punch into the side of his jaw.

He flopped onto the ground like a doll.

....

"Hey did you hear that!?"
"One of you, with me, we'll check it out!"

"I hear footsteps!"
"Hey, you! Goddamn it there's someone here! After him!"

...

The two pirate guards, spotting their knocked out ally, proceeded down the hallway, aiming to go after the unknown assailant. They ran quick, aiming to chase down the fleeing opponent. They passed the hallway's latrine.. but noticed it too late. They knew that they had made a grave mistake, once felt someone grab onto the back of their necks.

Seven slammed their heads into each other. Once, twice. Three times. The two then fell onto the wet floor knocked out. Their faces splashing into the puddle.

...

"Crap! There is someone! Quick, one of you close the door! Close the damn bulkhead before...!"
"Hey! You stop!"

Again, it was too late. The frantic engineer turned just in time to see a man in black charging through the door at the two guards.

"Sonic Thu-! Uahgh!"

Seven, licked his arm into first pirate. With his other free hand, he wedges a chip of his hand into the man's neck - it snapped. He immediately fell limp onto the ground, his head turned in an obscene angle.

"Damn it! Die!"
"Sonic Thurst!"

The other pirate, already seeing his mate fall to the first surprise charge, had enough time to launch his crew's signature attack. His short-sword flew true. And make a loud ping as it struck it's mark. The pirate's mouth hung open in horror.

It wasn't supposed be a ping. That meant, his sword had just harmlessly struck into the wall of the room.

He felt a hand grab the side of his face. And a cruel sounding internal crack was heard by other engineers as the mysterious red assailant snapped the guard's neck one handed.

"...So I wasn't able to avoid killing someone either, huh?"

Seven walked over to the bulkhead. shut it and locked himself and the other engineers in the room. In a swift action, he took what seemed to be like a strip of leather and tied it in a knot around the door. They were now thoroughly locked in. He looked back at the rest of them. To which immediately prompted them to raise their hands in the air in surrender.

"Oh... fuck."

"One of you is going to stop the ship from moving and prevent it's weapons from firing." Sven's eyes narrowed coldly. "The ones who comply get to walk out of this room alive."

"Well... I know you said that you'd kill all of us if we don't comply with your demands. But, um... can I at least let me clean up this um... water here? I mean, it smells real bad..."

Sven walked over to tone of the engineers. This one was a bit more of a heavy build. So it took everyone by suprise when they saw his feet lift off the ground.

"Do you know how to stop the ship and it's weapons?"

"I-I don't! I don't! OH GOD, DON'T KILL ME!"

Seven shook him a little left and right. Finding his winy voice to be strangely amusing.

"AHHHHH! OMIGODSOMEONEJUSTDOWHATHESAYSIMTOOGOODLOOKINGTODIE!!!!"

"Please...! Please, I'm doing what you're asking right now. Please just let him down...."

An engineer at a control panel could be seen turning down a few dials and switches. The hum coming from the generators began to ease off a little...
