OK, Two questions, possibly irrelevant, but I'd still like to know the answers :)
1. What happens if a kingdom doesn't have an heir to send to the reconciliation, or the heirs are either too young or too old? I was playing around with the math and realized that since Kaoru (Oujin's brother) is only 32, even if he waited until later in life to have kids (early 30s?) Oujin's father would still have been under the age of 15 for the last one. Would the position of reconciled have then gone to a cozen?
2. What exactly does the marriage between reconciled contract entail? is it an alliance between countries only? are the reconciled expected to live with each other in Atanwan, or can they go home afterwards, or even go their separate ways? is there a provision against divorce? in the event a pair is formed of two of the same gender or the pair still absolutely hate each other at the end of the year could they make arrangements to marry another member of the family instead i.e. a sibling?
I'm not trying to find loopholes, really i'm not, I just thought the answers might be info our characters would know prior to arriving at Atanwan.
