SHATTERED REALM: Atonement

So is the tone very grim? I have no experience with Dungeons and Dragons, but I always visualized it as fairly "normal" high fantasy. Is this more on the adventurous and magical end of the spectrum, or very dark and serious, like Berserk?

D&D's Dark Sun setting is post-apocalyptic fantasy. The premise was that high fantasy magic went out of control and scorched the world, snuffing out empires and wiping out races. As a result, the survivors (those that remain) are generally intolerant of magic, as they rightly believe it to be the scourge of civilization. But while magic is rarely practiced, new powers (psionics) evolved to take its place.

Instead of medieval kingdoms imagine desert tribes and warlords. Instead of loyal questing heroes imagine self-governing hardened survivors. It's lawless. It's brutal. I'm a fan.

I'm interested ^-^

There's a ton of old characters we could reboot for this. I might bring back some Norindul characters or maybe we could implement characters from one of gladis's Rps.

Apologies folks, instead of slowing down my schedule actually sped up for some weird reason. Will take me a day or two more to finish it all. Hang tight.

Take your time! :3

I volunteer!

Your pitch looks interesting and intriguing; reminds me of Caves of Qud, which is a big plus in my book. Take all the time you need. Cheers!

It's coming slower than I thought. Anyway, here's what I've managed to do so far. Enjoy. Sorry for walls of text. (This is the general Lore. The specific Roleplay Lore is still in the work)

This is coming along good! I read the whole thing except for the individual races section, I'll get to it when I can!

Also joined the Discord group, it'll be my first one ever! :D

Instant interest here <~<

Potential interest here, but it looks like you're already a bit swamped.
