Hi, I'm trying to revive a LOTR 4th ageRP that never started (2-3 years ago on here) due to the GM's IRL circumstances. I am good at moderation, lore, world building, running the RP ooc, and the writing side of things but for the life of me can't GM. How do I solicit a RP that needs a GM? Any tips are appreciated.

GMing takes a lot of work, especially for homebrew concepts. If you're exceptionally passionate about the storyline I would say spend as much time as you can going into as much detail as you can regarding the general world lore, beastiary, magic rules, roleplay vs. dice rules, etc. so that a potential GM can review the offered material and consider whether or not it's something they think they can work with or handle. It may also help to find a small group of potential roleplayers to be ready-to-go for when a GM is found so that :
(1) they don't feel like the pressure is all on them to find members.
(2) if, for whatever reason, you cannot find a GM then maybe one of the other roleplayers would be hyped enough about the concept to offer to try it out.

Also, when posting your GM search, definitely mention that you are willing to help in moderation, lore, and so on so they know they'll have someone to help them keep things managed which would be less stress on them as they may still be trying to figure out your vision for the concept. Note that the GM may take creative control after accepting the position and will make changes to the lore and information, intended storyline, and so on accordingly so be willing to accept changes even for things you may of poured hours trying to type up and figure out. If you're hellbent on a VERY specific storyline then maybe hold off a bit longer and learn how to GM until you feel comfortable enough to host your own campaign.

I have taken the step to do it myself but am very much hoping to get an assistant in the future. Anyways to quote LOTR "So it begins."
