The coffin will start empty, but I expect it to be not empty by city three.

It's not going to be empty because treasure or is that more- one of you will probably die before city three.

You will have companions with you, they will be one of the resources you'll have to use up. They are there to make sure you live long enough to level up to a point where you can fight the loyalists. One of them will be in the coffin, the half dragon son of the dragon that you will be leaving the emperor with at the end of this journey.
