INTEREST CHECK Bleach RP?

I see many other users using existing series to begin role-plays. So, why not Bleach (we're not talking about the secret lives of cleaning liquids. We're talking anime)? I had this idea: Create unique characters with backstories that remain within the story series. These characters will begin an Arc of their own, outside of the normal storyline, or (and I'm only contemplating this) interact with legit characters from the series. What do you think?
