Nicknames/Titles/Alias(es):Diah Blackbird
Origin: Gen III Synth
Age: 25
Appearance: Unbeknownst to her, D8-17 was created from a randomization of features derived from the Synth base genetic code. This produced an appearance resembling the mother of her genetic source, Father. Her time in the wasteland has given her skin a light tan, and her wavy brown hair is kept short to better maintain herself.

Character Audit: D8-17 was created by The Institute and was tasked as a janitor for several years until she developed self-awareness and escaped. The Railroad attempted to help her assimilate to the Commonwealth with the offer of a memory wipe, but she declined and had various jobs until she gained a job as a caravan guard on an expedition South. The caravan was wiped out by Talon Company in the Capitol Wasteland, and seeing no further recourse she continued South in search of places a Synth would be accepted.
This journey from Boston to Miami informs much of her personality. She is a pragmatist, keeps people at a distance. She derived her first name from her Institute designation, and Blackbird from the Railroad agent who offered her shelter any time she needed while in the Commonwealth.
