A Song of Valour and Steel

Game-of-Thrones-Ascent-Facebook-36.jpg

Short introduction:
This Roleplay is based on the lore and the world 'A Song of Ice and Fire'. Otherwise known, and perhaps more popular, as 'Game of Thrones'. This Roleplay will be more of an alternative universe where many of the show and books don't have a focus on or the canon characters have an appearance. Many Houses, such as the Starks, Lannisters and etc, are still present in the roleplay and might eventually come into play. The Roleplay sets in the North of the World on two smaller Houses who struggle for survival and power in a dangerous and changing world around them.

Name:
Jorvan
[spoili]
His true name is Duncan Snow of House Ashwood.
[/spoili]

Aliases:
Obtained the monikker 'Ice Blade' by the Broken Banner as the Bitter Steel sellsword companies. The origin is in his somewhat cold and distant towards anybody who he doesn't trust. Which did include members of the sellsword companies he worked and fought for.
Gender:
Male
Age:
He was born in the year 118 BC, on the 12th of August. He is thus currently 29 years old.

Length and body build:
Duncan stands at the length of 1.89 meters (6'2 feet).
He has a strong and toned body build.

Weight:
Duncan weighs 85 kilograms / 187 pound.

Sexuality:
Heterosexual.

Religion:
The Old Gods but he is acquainted with the Faith of the Seven and the Lord of Light.

Grandparents:
Father's side:
Lord Duncas Ashwood
Lady Miranna Ashwood.

Mother's side:
Petyr
Elle
Parents :
Lord Rickon Ashwood, father.
Emma, mother.

Siblings:
He has various half-siblings but the most notable one is Rylen.

Distant relatives:
The members of House Ashwood.

Appearance:
Duncan is slightly taller than the average man and seems to have a serious expression plastered on his face in the usual situations when encountered. He doesn't strike many as the guy who seems to enjoy a casual chatter and his dark brown eyes tend are described to be unsettling, giving an uncomfortable feeling to some. Various scars are visible when Duncan's forearms are revealed. The majority of grotesque 'trophies' of past battles are on his chest and a few on his back. Many of these scars remain concealed and if ever brought up by somebody who Duncan doesn't consider a close friend or confidante, they are met with a short reply. Further pressing will lead to unpleasant exchanges.

Loyalty:
Current, y a hired retainer for House Trevelyan, paid to train household members and the present men at arms.
Occupation:
Previous occupations were being a member of the sellsword companies of the Broken Banner. Eventually, Duncan would resign together with Rylen and join the Bitter Steel Company in Essos. After returning to Westeros, Duncan became a hired retainer for House Trevelyan.

Ambition(s):
To be able to live one day without hiding for his true name.

Personality:
Duncan tends to be distant to many people. He isn't a person who isn't shy to state his opinion but knows better than to just tell somebody to their faces that he dislikes them. He tends to be even more cautious around nobility for his past dealings and experiences with them. Duncan tends to grow less guarded and distant when he is out and busy with his occupation. While not somebody who enjoys taking another man's life, he sure does enjoy the thrill of a good spar or to train somebody who doesn't get on his nerves. Though by no means a knight or desiring to be a man of virtue, Duncan holds true to his own code of honour. While the man himself doesn't see it as honour, he tries to give people a chance and won't take the lives of children or unarmed women, for example. The only times that he is willing to break this kind of rules is when either the life of his half-brother is at stake.

Another aspect of Duncanpersonality that defines him is the way how he bonds with people. He often seeks some sort of way to trust the other person. May it be a talk on how the other feels about the Gods, war or even subjects like loyalty. Though he is afraid to be betrayed, Duncan does feel the need from time to time to talk with somebody else than his half-brother about his past and what he is supposed to achieve in life.

When Duncan does interact with people, it is usually portraying him as a cynical person. He seems to be rather quick with insults, to certain addresses that won't impact his current contract. While he has a caring and friendly side, it seems he holds it on reserve for close friends and acquaintances he parted with in a good way.

[ History ]
[spoili]
The History:
The childhood of Duncan wasn't easy. Born as a bastard of the Lord of Ashwood in the south eastern reaches of the North, Duncan didn't enjoy a 'normal' childhood as one would expect of a son of a weaver. As Lord Rickon Ashwood acknowledged that Duncan was his bastard and paid a small sum of money to Emma the weaver, Duncan would be taken into the Ashwood's household at the age of seven. There he was educated in some moderate form, primarily to learn how to read and write. It was also the start of his martial training and education. Something that the young lad did enjoy way more than to sit behind a desk and receive lessons from the maester. Only now and then was Duncan allowed to pay a visit to his mother and half-siblings. These visits were only of short duration, however, as Duncan was often expected to come back to the Ashwood household.

As the years passed and Duncan started to grow older, the situation would take an unpleasant shift. Lady Jaenis Ashwood started to become envious and would start to spite the bastard whenever she had the chance. Her spite would often grow into a cold anger and hatred whenever Duncan proved himself better a few times than the true Ashwoods. Constant complaints and attempts of Lady Ashwood to make Duncan fall out of favour would also see the decline of the relationship between Duncan and Lord Rickon Ashwood. Where the two held a certain bond that was about to resemble a father and son bond, it started to become cold and uncomfortable relationship. Less education was given on courtship and diplomatic matters and more on martial training. While one could argue that this was exactly what Duncan desired before, the harsh treatment was certainly no boon. Firmer disciplining would take place and sow the seeds of distrust and dislike of Duncan for nobility and their ways. More visits were granted to his mother and half-family as Lady Ashwood attempted to get Duncan out of the household as much as she possibly could. It was in these times that Duncan started to gain a lasting friendship with Rylen and his other half-siblings. Eventually, Rylen managed to get work as a smith apprentice. The half brothers would come together in the dark of the night as Duncan would instruct and train Rylen in swordsmanship.

Envy and spite started to rise within Lady Jaenis Ashwood. Duncan started to become better in a few fields than the true heirs of Lord Rickon Ashwood. Constant complaints and attempts to make Duncan fall out of favour would slowly diminish the relationship between the young teen bastard and his biological father. Less education on matters like courtship was given and a harsher training regime was given, together with firmer disciplining. It is where the distrust and even some hatred of Duncan originate when it comes to nobility. More visits to his mother and half-family were granted, though. In this period, Duncan started to build a lasting friendship with his half-siblings.
The envy and spite of Lady Ashwood reached its peak when Duncan was 21 years old. He managed to beat one of her sons in a sparring match. While Duncan had no ill-relation with any of the Ashwood children, he was being accused of aiming to wound one of the true Ashwood heirs. Before anybody could really stop what would happen, Duncan was taken away and placed in a cell. There he had to spend an entire week with little food and water given to him. In this time Rylen managed to sneak in some food and was a great moral support for Duncan. After his time in the cold cell, he was told to obey better or else he would be thrown in another cell. Only to never come out again. Having enough of it all, Duncan would pack his few possessions and escape out of the Ashwood ancestral castle. Making quick way to his biological mother, he would confess that he had stolen a few things and even a few weapons. Knowing well that he could be held for a criminal, possibly hanging, Duncan would exchange a small talk of goodbye with his biological mother. As mother and son spoke for the last time, Duncan wouldn't go alone into the night and freedom. Rylen would come with him.

On the run or in any case attempting to get away from the reach of the Ashwoods, Duncan and Rylen would travel north. They eventually would sign up for members of the sellsword company, going by the name of The Broken Banner. There they would be trained, drilled and steeled for conflict as enjoying a bigger sense of freedom than they had back at the ancestral home of the Ashwoods. Friendship and bonds would grow between the half brothers and members of the Broken Banner as they fought and lived together in the company for at least two years. Word soon reached that the company was heading south as well that a bounty was placed on a bastard of Lord Ashwood. This made Duncan and Rylen decide to resign from the Broken Banner as they risked to seek passage to Essos. Having heard strange tales of the eastern continent, the half brothers would try their luck out in Essos.

In Essos there was little trouble for the half brothers to sign up with the Bitter Steel Company. Previous experience and the gained skill, discipline and hardship that they had from working and fighting under the company of the Broken Banner made it relatively easy for them to move in with the Bitter Steel sellswords. For four years the half brothers would continue to serve in the Bitter Steel company in Essos. Participating in various grim conflicts and situations, their experience and martial expertise would grow further. Only an incident occurring. Gold and various weapons were missing from the company's hoard. Accusations were thrown towards Duncan and Rylen. Even though they claimed that they were innocent, the brothers didn't wait out for judgement to be passed upon them.
Making quick way towards Braavos and from there to Westeros, the brothers landed in the Vale. While searching for work, they heard of some northern lords seeking for retainers. Heading once more to the north, they would find some work in the House of Trevelyan, around a half year ago. The previous experiences that Duncan had with nobility didn't seem to account for the kind lord of House Trevelyan. While Rylen worked as a smith, Duncan would be hired as a retainer. Training the men at arms and guards, he would also be paid a bit extra eventually to be there to train interested members of House Trevelyan in martial arts.

Skills and various Traits:
Duncan is a skilled and experienced fighter. While he has some basic understanding and skill on how to fight with a lance, his main orientation is on swordplay and using a hatchet. While he carries and is most capable with a shield, the favourite fighting style of Duncan is to use his sword and axe at the same time. It is a risky and quite offensive style of fighting but one that Duncan has mastered to some good degree. While his aim isn't horrible, he dislikes as lacks sufficient experience with the likes of bows to be an average archer. His strength and stamina are what to be expected of a veteran sellsword as his reflexes are said to put many on edge. While being able to ride horses with some skill, Duncan doesn't favour combat on horseback. Calling it annoying and too limiting.

Duncan is knowledgeable about various military tactics as strategies and in what for a situation - and how - they should be deployed. He is capable of writing and reading but doesn't seem to enjoy doing that. Duncan is a patient person, willing to wait prolonged times regarding various matters. His experience has taught and made him also somewhat able to remain cool in tense situations and even making morbid jokes about it, in attempts to relieve some stress.

He has learned in Essos how to speak and understand Valyrian, though he isn't that fond of speaking the language.

List of weapons.

Name:
Ice Blade
Description:
The sword of Duncan. While he carried previous blades that eventually cracked or were disregarded due to being nicked or worn out, they all carried the name of Ice Blade. The reason of why Duncan does that is something he rather keeps to himself. The steel sword is a one handed arming sword of decent quality that Duncan purchased during the brief time that he and Rylen were in the Vale.
Appearance:
ERRtnGE.jpg

Name:
Duncan's current handaxe.
Description:
While being trained at first on how to fight with shield and sword, Duncan developed an interest and fondness of using an axe instead of a shield. The weapon lacks the reach of a sword but with a good hit can do horrible damage to an unarmoured foe. It is also a good emergency weapon to be thrown, though Duncan rarely seems willing to sacrifice good steel to be just thrown away.
Appearance:
viking_axe__16959.1406313172.600.600.jpg

Name:
Duncan's Shield.
Description:
A rather simple shield made of thick oaken wood with a metal rim and brass. It is able to cover Duncan from waist to shoulder. While in purpose being mainly a defensive tool, Duncan is trained as many others to be able to use a shield more offensively in combat. Being bashed in the face or stomach with the edge of a shield still, will hurt.
Appearance:
RedOakShield.jpg

List of armour or attire.

Usual Duncan is geared in simply clothing. He doesn't possess much fancy clothing or having access to a large wardrobe. They tend to be simple brown in colours with little decorations or ornaments to them. Duncan does wear a small necklace of silver with a small shield symbol at all times.

Name:
Duncan's armour.
Description:
While being a veteran sellsword, Duncan isn't a rich one. He owns a steel closed helmet, which has several marks of past battles and contact with hostile blades. Wearing thin linen clothing a padded jacket and pants tend to be the major protection for enemy attempts. Over that, Duncan wears a thick and hardened leather jacket, which seems to be new as it hasn't yet shown any marks of past clashes. Thick gloves and boots are also worn with his armour.

Amber Trevelyan

Personal Motto:
"In duty, I shall perhaps find respite."

[ Personal Information ]

[spoili]
Name:
Amber Trevelyan.
Aliases:
Lady Trevelyan.
Gender:
Female.
Age:
Amber was born on the 5th of May, in the year 118. This makes her at the given moment 29 years old.

Length and body build:
Amber reaches the height of 1.75 meters (which is 5'7 feet). She has an 'average' but somewhat toned build.

Weight:
Amber weighs around 80 kilograms (which is 176 pounds).

Sexuality:
Heterosexual.
Religion:
The Old Gods.

Grandparents:
Father's side:
Lauryn Trevelyan - grandmother. Deceased at the age of 62, five years ago.
Barrian Trevelyan - grandfather. Deceased at the age of 61, six years ago.

Mother's side:
Corren Norrey - grandfather. Deceased at the age of 45, twenty years ago. An infection spread and festered after a clash with a boar during a hunt.
Avya Norrey - grandmother. Deceased at the age of 56, eleven years ago.

Parents :
Lord Carron Trevelyan
, recently deceased at the age of 61 years old.
Lady Jocey Trevelyan. Deceased at the age of 58, nine years ago.

Siblings:
WIP

Distant relatives:
Due to marriage ties of her father, Amber and her siblings have distant ties to the small House of Norrey, which are Trevelyan bannermen.

Appearance:
Amber is usually seen and appearing with her hair done properly in a braid or else done in a fashion that will not make her look bad. There are various times where she seems to be taking on a more casual approach to her hair but these are rare. She has somewhat dark grey-green eyes with thin eyebrows. Often she tries to colour her lips red by various methods - some pleasant and others not so. With matching garbs that usually are in the colours of her House, Amber is quite strict with how she presents herself.

Loyalty:
She has sworn loyalty and fealty to the Red King of House Bolton. However, her true and perhaps only loyalty is to that of her own house.
Occupation:
Previous occupation was to the heir of her house as her father didn't sire a son as heir. With her father's death, Amber is now the current matriarch of House Trevelyan.

Ambition(s):
Amber's ambitions are to be acknowledged by other noble Houses as a competent fighter and not a source of mockery. Other than that, her current goal and ambition that occupies her are to keep House Trevelyan standing.

Personality:
Amber's personality is one that seems distant. While she is often to both subjects and strangers kind and friendly, it isn't hard to guess it is nothing but her following the etiquette that she has grown up with. Rarely does she speaks her opinion of people to those who she doesn't trust enough and she is quite hesitant to share plans that involve the survival of her House and family with people, who's loyalty isn't with House Trevelyan. But even to family and trusted household members as courtiers, Amber seems to be keen on holding some of her plans to herself.

She is also quite disciplined. Not because of her interest and having been trained in martial arts and striving to follow a code of honour but because she values order and stability. While being quite acceptive of others not being as organized as her, most of the time, Amber isn't that forgiving for herself. While always eager and happy to receive a compliment, little or big, she has a low opinion of herself.
[/spoili]

[ History ]
[spoili]
The History:
Amber's childhood was one where she lacked little need for anything. While the Trevelyans aren't the wealthiest of the North, Amber was far from being in need of anything. She would get attention and love from her parents and be able to enjoy a proper education on how to behave at court and what was expected of her. The only matter that really did seem to weigh heavy on her was the uncertainty if she would be the heir of her house. Not because she wasn't sure if she wanted. She saw it as her duty to serve her house but somewhere deep within herself, Amber did long for to succeed her father. Yet being told that if she would get a brother that she wouldn't be the heir did put some stress on Amber when she was younger. Several times she prayed to the Old Gods to not bless her parents with a son, promising that she would carry and lead the noble house into prosperity. This caused her eventually to feel guilty when her mother passed away as she saw it somewhat as the result of her past prayers. Cropping the guilt away Amber would work double as hard on her education and tasks. The ability to read and write was first boring for the young girl, who rather wanted to learn more exciting matters. She only discovered a love for books once she started to read in tales of heroes and knights. Even while all of them were male, Amber did obtain the idea that if she would become skilled enough that tales of her deeds would be written down. Though this dream hasn't vanished over time, Amber keeps it to herself.

She would start a training in horse riding and wield weapons at the age of thirteen. Her build and strength didn't allow her to be on par with the young boys and men who she trained with. But stubborn in that she could manage Amber refused a private teacher for quite some time. This did earn her some mocking and laughter. Eventually, Amber would cave in and accept a private teacher who would spend time on how to wield a sword and shield. But his methods were simply focused on how to defend herself. No techniques and methods on how to deal out damage to any enemy. This frustrated Amber to the point of boiling. On a certain day, a week before her seventeenth nameday, Amber would not show at a lesson of her instructor. Loud shouts and cheering would erupt from Tornburg's practice field as Amber had challenged one of the best trainees to a sparring match. Fighting with all she got, she managed to give the young man a good fight but would eventually lose the fight. Frustrated and angered by her loss, Amber would lock herself up in her room for a good two days before she would come out. Shortly afterwards she would become trained in both defensive as offensive fighting styles.

At the age of eighteen, Amber would start to work more actively at court. She would indulge more in the intrigue of the court and learning who was loyal to House Trevelyan and who wasn't. It didn't go all the time smoothly as Amber did manage to cause some mistakes and leading that she had to excuse herself to various people. But from her mistakes, she started to learn. The gossips of the courtiers and household started to become a source of fun. A way to learn about people she wasn't really familiar with. A certain kind of way to obtain information and thus a potential edge on another. While this became a certain way to spend time and become more adept in the ways of court and the intrigue of nobility, Amber did start to become more skilled in fighting. Over the years Amber started to get a better grip on how to fight as the intrigue of court.

As her father's rule saw problems piling on each other Amber tried her best to aid the old man. But it was all for naught as the stress would become too much for the sweet old man. While the late lord Carron Trevelyan is being prepared for his last journey Amber is facing with the consquences of her father's mild rule.

Theme music:

[ Skills and Gear]
[spoili]
Skills and various Traits:
Amber is trained for almost an entire decade on how the court diplomacy is handled and goes. She is quite adept at it. She is able to coerce some people to agree with her viewpoints as well hiding her true goals and desires from others at the same time. Clever and witty, she is observant on how to gauge a situation before making a move. May it either be who to socialise with or what to say.
Her martial training has given rise that Amber is a competent fighter. Her favourite weapon is the longsword for its versatility as well allowing her to wield it with two hands - making it more ideal than a sword designed for one hand, being thus lighter and easier to wield. Amber is both versed in using the longsword in the traditional manner as well using half-swording to catch a foe off guard or attempting to take down a more armoured foe.
She has some experience and skill in using shield and lance as hand to hand fighting. The downside is that she actually never has fought in a conflict or real battle on life and death, making her likely less confident than veterans. Her strength is also somewhat less than some men but she makes it up for her determination and great stamina.

She is a good horse rider as able to read and write. Furthermore, Amber is trying to learn some poetry and singing but doesn't have the most beautiful of voice or creativity to produce great poems.

List of weapons.

Name:
Wit's End
Description:
A steel longsword of decent quality. It was produced by a weaponsmith with okay skill and while it is quite efficient in both the traditional way as Amber's skill with half-swording, it isn't a prime example of fine weaponry.
Appearance:
Longsword.png

Name:
-Of the Weapon or Tool.-
Description:
Perhaps how it was gained or how much it is valued. Not to mention of how the character uses it and their skill with the weapon/tool.-
Appearance:
- An image and some description on the appearance or some notes on the weapon or tool. Marks of damage as use and the like.-

Name:
Amber's Seax.
Description:
A broad knife, otherwise seax, is Amber's secondary weapon. It is a weapon that doesn't have much reach as a sword or most other weapons but it is an excellent weapon of choice for fights in an uncomfortable close quarter.
Appearance:
50dff1520c988b5e43271e2c2b7e9d3f.jpg

List of armour or attire.

Amber has a collection of dresses and clothing that are both fitting for a lady of her standards for meetings, events at court and more casual settings. As it stands with her origin and uprising, she wears clothing that represents the colours or has ornaments that detail House Trevelyan. She seems to be more lenient in wearing the easier fitting and going clothing instead of the dressed but has grown used to them.

Name:
Carron's armour.
Description:
The armour that belonged to Amber's father and previous lord of Trevelyan. It isn't the complete set as Amber isn't able to fit in the metal breastplate that her father had. Currently, the armour exists out of linen clothing over which she wears padding protective gear. Further wearing steel arm guards and one shoulder guard with shin guards. Wearing a chain mail vest that goes over the padding gear, Amber wears a leather vest over it for more protection. The final piece is a closed helmet. The steel isn't all together top notch. It would probably not hold the same protective value as it once had but it is currently the only armour that Amber has and finds worthy. The fact it once belonged to her father has given also some personal attachment to it.

Name:
Sanah Faerson
Aliases:
None, so far.
Gender:
Female
Age:
Born in the year 114 BC, on the 6th of August. Making her thus 25 years old.

Length and body build:
Sanah is 1.69m (5'5 feet) tall with a slim build.

Weight:
She weighs roughly 59 ~ 60 kilograms (132 lbs).

Sexuality:
Heterosexual
Religion:
The Old Gods

Grandparents:
Father's side:
Salna Faerson, grandmother. Deceased, fifteen years ago.
Eyan Faerson, grandfather. Deceased twenty years ago.

Mother's side:
Nira Harker, grandmother. Deceased eighteen years ago.
Dran Harker, grandfather. Deceased ten years ago.

Parents :
Father: Torrick Faerson. Passed two years ago, his health gradually decreasing. Reached the age of 59.
Mother: Railey Faerson. Passed five years ago at the age of 45 after a period of illness.
Siblings:
Rydan Faerson, older brother and current leader of the House.
Sanah Faerson, younger sister.
Distant relatives:
None at the moment, though one could consider the once living Harker family as relatives.

Appearance:
Sanah is often seen in clothing that reflects her origin. With a pale but fair complexion, her lips seem to be redder while her eyes are dark brown. Much like her younger sibling, Sanah has a soft and friendly voice. Being somewhat smaller than her siblings, she seems often to strangers as the youngest of the Faerson siblings but has a certain air of pride that betrays her origins of nobility. A small necklace with a round symbol, in which the family sigil is inscribed, is always worn.

Loyalty:
She is sworn to House Marric but her true loyalty lies in House Faerson's survival.
Occupation:
She is an advisor to Ryndar Faerson.

Ambition(s):
Sanah's ambitions are to see House Faerson to rise from where they are now. Her ambition might be aimed to see the Red King being replaced with one of her siblings.

Personality:
To say that Sanah is a caring and friendly person is both right and wrong. She does care and is usually genuinely polite as friendly to others. But she is quite ambitious and ruthless. Where some might be repulsed by the idea of scheming and playing in the shadows, Sanah's ambitions drives her to the point that she has little restraint in using of some allies, even if it means their downfall. Her ability to lie and play people is something that she uses to no end whenever she is set on obtaining a step further towards her goal.

When not occupied with her scheming and plotting, Sanah can be either quite friendly or sarcastic. She seems to relish to now and then just give a sarcastic remark but that entirely depends on the present company and person who is on the receiving end. While she might have something to do with her father's demise, Sanah does truly love and care for her siblings.

[/spoili]

[ History ]
[spoili]
The History:
Sanah hated her childhood. As she was groomed and educated to become a lady in waiting. There were some fields that she enjoyed but the fact that she was so pressured into it resulted in various times that Sanah rebelled against the rules and order. Only to be suffering the consequences and a harsher regime. Eventually, the girl would be more acceptive to the given education and uprising that she received but there seemed to be a certain anger remaining for years within Sanah. Her experience of learning how court life made Sanah realise how much deceit and intrigue was hiding in the shadow. From the servant maids gossiping about this or that lordling from to the rare times that she even could eavesdrop on hearing her father cursing some people in his study.

Reaching her teenage years Sanah would start to play the game of court intrigue. Gossiping with the maids, eavesdropping on the guards and so forth. It was a game without little consequence but it allowed her to learn how to manipulate people eventually. From just subtly giving them something to think better or worse of a person to make them agree with her viewpoints. This subtle and playful game did start to bore Sanah. Only a few and minor consequences were to it. Finding out about Lainah's interest, Sanah would meddle with her younger sibling's hobby. It proved to be more exciting as to cover Lainah's tracks were filled with more risk than the little gossip and intrigue game of her father's court. Slowly Sanah's orientation started to expand to her older brother. As he was the heir, Sanah would often provide him with information about what the people thought about certain others and how to use it to his own advantage to appear better.

As you might notice, there was a rising trend in how Sanah started to expand her interest and efforts. Both because she felt it was necessary to do her duty to her small House, being nothing more than low nobility and bannermen. Her father's strict and harsh regime didn't seem to help much either. As he found out about Sanah's activities, father and daughter had a heated argument. Resulting in that the anger that Sanah had felt in her childhood started to surface. The heated argument ended with Sanah being dismissed and warned to not meddle in affairs a lady shouldn't be in. Not much later Sanah would have a dinner that she had prepared for just her and her father. The two spoke in a calmer fashion with each other. Not much later Torrick Faerson would become ill and his health gradually declining until he passed out in his sleep.

The succession went without a problem as Ryndar was made into the leader of the small house of Faerson and Tamworth. The harsh regime on the smallfolk would decrease under Ryndar's rule as even various charity events would help boost his popularity. Events that Sanah organised and executed. Behind the 'curtains' she acts as one of Ryndar's prime advisors, informing him what she has learned from her associates and connections. While no fame or compliments are moving her way, Sanah is completely content with that as she plots slowly but surely for larger goals.

Theme music:

Skills and various Traits:
Sanah is an experienced plotter. Having grown up at court and being indulged into the subtle but crafty affairs, she has grown quite capable of it. Coercing another person into accepting her opinion or agreeing even with her viewpoints is just one of the few games of intrigue that is part of Sanah's expertise. That comes together with preserving her own opinion, ideas and plots from others as she will subtly bend the truth in order to secure that the other won't be the wiser of her ambitions. Together with her management and organisation skill as experience, Sanah is able to provide good plans on how to tackle civil matters.

More physical fields are not of Sanah's expertise. While she has some basics on how to fight with a knife, she won't be much good with a sword in hand. There was never a reason needed for it anyways. Other than that, she is capable of writing and reading as being a fairly good with horses.

List of weapons.

Name:

Description:
A simple steel dagger for personal security. Sanah is somewhat known on how to use it but she lacks experience, muscle strength and training to make her a fearsome fighter.
Appearance:

Name:
Sanah's Connections.
Description:
- This isn't a weapon but after speaking with Gero, this is the best spot to detail it. -
Sanah's biggest and best weapon. Having her own network of people who gather information or small matters on her behalf, it allows her to aid the rule of Tamworth and House Faerson, being able to understand as know how matters are. Her network doesn't really stretch much further than the city at the moment but Sanah is considering to pour more resources to make it so.

List of armour or attire.

Sanah has a range of various dresses and outfits that are styled to portray her colours and loyalty towards House Faerson. While some dresses and clothes are more expensive than others, Sanah seems to prefer the ones that don't seem to draw too much attention. Seeing that House Faerson isn't the wealthiest nobility, she doesn't wear a lot of jewellery but tends to make it up for small ornaments in her clothes. At the given moment she has neither use or possess any armour.

Loyalty:

Occupation:
Lord of House Marric
Advisor to Lord Elrin (formerly)
Captain of the Whiteblades (formerly)

Ambition(s):
-To unite North under his banner and overtake House Bolton, or to at least set the seeds up for such.
-To strengthen House Marric further any way he can.
-The protection of House Marric's Bannermen

Personality:
"I wonder where he's gone off to? He isn't in the Great Hall." "The lord? He immerses himself in library- it's like he's tracking a great winter hunt through the mountain; always paying attention to every small detail but always blinded by the snow." "And yet he doesn't stop?" "Never- he's extremely persistent, that one. But even then, he'll put his passions aside to aid those in their time of need." "So perhaps he isn't necessarily blinded by the snow... but that he stops to care to for his tools along the way?" "If we're continuing that metaphor, I suppose so. The House and his bannermen come first, from what he's said. But have you looked in his eyes?" "What do you mean? He's no White Walker, nothing's strange about his eyes." "Not that, you dolt! There's some kind of... some kind of fire in them." "Fire? As in hatred?" "Maybe, yeah... but I suppose the only way to know would be to look for for yourself."

Anselm is a man of dedication and strength, rewarding courage while punishing cowardice. To him, it is far better to live in spite of fear than to fight because of it. A student of various philosophies and tactics, he continues the family tradition of being master strategists and tacticians, something the Red King uses to his advantage. But, make no mistake- to cross Anselm is exceedingly unwise. No man is clean, Anselm is not afraid to dirty his hands for the betterment of his people, especially if there can be found some personal vengeance within when he has been wronged. Aside from that, Anselm puts some stock in legend, knowing that all legends originate from some history and truth.
[/spoili]

[ History ]
[spoili]
The History:
From a young age, Anselm had learn to despise the fist of House Bolton after their liege lord began to demand more of them than they could provide in their war against House Stark. As a child he watched constantly as House Marric's men were constantly mustered and their ship were sent to sea at the demand of the Red King. His father attempted to violently grow the spark of hatred in his son, likening them to the slaves of Essos.

This changed when a newly teenaged Anselm underwent the Proving when- armed with only a hunting knife- he made his way back to Frosthold from the surrounding woods in ten days. On his return, he had a score of small scars but brought a beast or two in tow.

As soon as the Proving was complete, Anselm began training with prospective members of the Whiteblades, the utmost formidable standing force of House Marric. All Whiteblades were equal in rank, only answering to their superiors regardless of being a serf, bannerman, or noble. The gruelingly difficult training lasted the next five years, with a good part of the last being spent at sea. Once all this training was said and done, the young man became a full member of the Whiteblades, being given a longsword and a set of leather and chainmail. He was to begin as a lieutenant of the Whiteblades, a way to begin building the leadersahip skills he would need to be the Lord of House Marric.

Not long after his eighteenth nameday wherein he assumed this new office, House Bolton demanded the service of the Whiteblades and the various footsoldiers of House Marric to fight in one of their many campaigns against House Stark in an attempt for dominance in the North. After many bloody battles, Anselm return to Frosthold jaded and scarred as, once more, no territory was gained, nor was any loss, saving for the life of thousands of men. Never would Anselm forget the mass funeral pyres, the horror of battles led by those unfit to lead. Only five hundred out of thrice that number returned to the lands of House Marric as only small tokens of the soldiers could be brought home, often times a sword or some barely recognizable trinket.

From that moment forward, Anselm truly understood his father's hared and- as time went on- Anselm found himself running the day-to-day affair of Frosthold and House Marric while acting as one of the Captains of the Whiteblades shortly after his twentieth nameday. In time his first sister, Meera, would join him in these affairs and advising their againg father, although Elrin the Odd never paid much to the sensible advice of his eldest son and daughter, only barely managing to convince him not to borrow money from House Lannister in the south when they couldn't convince him not to borrow money at all and instead lease some mining rights to the lands near Frosthold to aid the vassal houses.

Skills and Various Traits:
One of Anselm's single greatest traits are his tactical and strategic abilities, allowing him to outmaneuver and overtake forces far larger of his own. One of his most effective tactics involve preying on the fears of the enemy forces to make them flee en masse. Otherwise, Anselm's training with the Whiteblade have made him more than able to hold his own in the front lines. Although his mastery is with the blade, Anselm is well-versed in a variety of weaponry and hand-to-hand combat. In turn, he also has some experience with horseback combat and ship-to-ship combat, although they are not his specialty. Likewise, Anselm is also a learned man and strives to learn more. Although he may not be as well-educated as a Maester, he does conduct some small experiments using knowledge in notebooks he acquired from maesters and self-proclaimed alchemists. As a lord, he is well-skilled in managing and leading his people and lands, although he prefers to be blunt with his political opinions as opposed using subtrefuge when he must.

Name:
Sven
Aliases:
None as of now.
Gender:
Male
Age:
38, born at 127 BC.

Length and body build:
He stands at 1.86m (Or 6'1 ft)
His body appears average sized, but it has many scars across it.

Weight:
80 Kg/ 176 pounds

Sexuality:
Heterosexual

Religion:
The Old Gods

Grandparents:
-Father Side -
Radcliff (Deceased)
Miriam (Deceased)

-Mother Side -
Allister
Julia (Deceased)

Parents :
Trent (Deceased)
Izabel (Deceased)

Siblings:
Lilian (Younger Sister)
Francis (Younger Brother) (Deceased)

Appearance:
Sven has the appearance of a man who reached the prime of his life. His stature is well composed, and while he does not appear buff, there is little to suggest he is weak physically. His body is heavily scarred with both cuts and burn marks, but he does not attempt to conceal them in any manner beyond the clothes (And if required, armor) that he wears upon him.

His daily attire consists of a dark green shirt, dark brown pants, dark brown gloves and boots, He also has a tendency of carrying a yellow feather behind his left ear.

Loyalty:
Currently hired by House Trevelyan as a Hunter and Hunting trainer.
Occupation:
Sven has served as a hunter since he was a child, and is still a hunter to this day. He also started teaching hunting to members of the house who wish to learn.

Ambition(s):
His current Ambitions is a small one, as Sven does not have his eyes towards the skies, but rather towards what he knows. He wishes to serve House Trevelyan long enough to allow his sister to repay their father's debt, so they will both be free to do as they wish.

Personality:
Sven is a rather polite and straight person. He would often prefer telling people exactly what is on his mind than to keep it in, but at the same time, if someone asks him to keep a secret, he will take it to the grave with him. He will always make sure to keep his manners in place and even if he thinks ill of someone, he will never say it out loud, to anyone, regardless of how much he wants to.

Due to his semi-success at making a name for himself as a decent hunter in the area of Karhold, he has a sense of pride when it comes to his hunting, and will often be more than happy to show it. He won't brag that he is the best hunter, but he won't deny anyone saying it either.

His weakness, when it comes to anything, lies with his living family members, being his sister, Lilian, and his grandfather, Allister. He will go any length to ensure their safety and well being, and threatening them can cause Sven to be as cold as it can get to whoever posed the threat, if not get an arrow aimed at them.

[ History ]
[spoili]
The History:
Sven's past is not an easy one. Being born into a family that barely managed to sustain itself, his father cursed Sven because now he had to work twice as hard in order to be able to make enough living to survive. This led to nearly five years where Sven barely got to see his father, and at the moments he did see him, he would only see contempt from his father. Before he turned six, however, the looks of contempt would turn to someone else. His younger sister was born, making his father be unable to support his family.

At that point, his father started training Sven in archery, but did little to compliment the child in any sort of manner, only telling him to keep training. At the age of 7, his father took him to his first hunting trip, where Sven nearly hit an animal. His father was not disappointed, and did not show any sort of emotion. Instead, he left his children and wife for a lengthy period, during which Sven had managed to hunt down his first few animals, providing a bit of food for himself, his sister and his mother. While he did get the approval of his mother, he could still see the worried looks she had in her eyes.

When his father, Trent, finally returned, he informed his wife, Izabel, that they should talk in private. Sven went out to try and hunt something, and when he came back, the atmosphere in the house had changed. It was a lot colder than before, with Izabel having red eyes and crying very often, while Trent plainly refused to look at either of his children.

Years would pass, and while Sven became a much better hunter, even passing his father's skills at it, the atmosphere in the house did not change. His sister, Lilian, was raised to be a house wife much like Izabel. His sister did not complain, but shared with Sven her wishes to go out and explore new lands. He reassured her that they will both be able to follow their dreams, his being to make a name for himself back then. When Lilian turned 18, however, Trent took Lilian with him and the two vanished for a rather extensive period of time, before Trent returned on his own, informing Izabel that the deed was done.

Sven, now 23, pushed his father around until the latter finally confessed to taking Lilian to House Trevelyan, and working out a deal with them to have her work as a maid in order to pay off the debt the family owed House Trevelyan, with Lilian agreeing, thus ensuring it does not count as slavery. Izabel broke into tears and went to embrace her younger son, barely a year old, and Trent vanished. Later that night, Sven was awoken by the smell of smoke. He quickly discovered his father, drunk, dropped unconscious while holding a lit candle stick. The fire was already too heavy, and with the difficulty to breath, Sven made his way to his parents room, only to see half of the roof collapsed in already. His mother and younger brother were unreachable. He tried to go back to his father, but failed as pieces from the roof fell on his head, knocking him unconscious.

Waking up in a bed at an unfamiliar place, Sven discovered he was rescued not long as the smoke was seen, but the rest of the structure became too unstable to be able to continue further in. He had lost his entire close family at one night. Remembering his grandfather, Allister, was still alive near Karhold, he set out to go live with him and continue working as a hunter within that area.

For the next 10 years, he made himself a name as a very fine hunter within the area, and Allister was proud at him. Sven himself felt proud, but the pride quickly turned to guilt as while he managed to achieve, to some degree, his own wish, Lilian still could not. By then, she was meant to be 28, and her chances of achieving her dream were only going down. He decided to approach the ruler of House Trevelyan, who he discovered was a kind man. He managed to secure a job as a Hunter for House Trevelyan, and in recent months also becoming a hunting teacher to those who wish to learn it within House Trevelyan.

Skills and various Traits:
Sven has trained to be a hunter since a young age, making him very adept at tracking down creatures in the wild, stealth movement as to not scare off any potential preys and skinning of animals without harming their meat beyond the shots taken from his arrow. He has learned how to make several different types of traps, but he mostly prefers going with net traps, as he feels those are the easiest to conceal.

As part of his learning to become a good hunter, Sven learned how to use both short and long bows, but his preference and primary skill is with the short bow, and he also learned how to use a hunter's knife as his short range, melee weapon. While he has mostly trained to keep his distance, his father taught him basic self-defense and past encounters with hostile wildlife has forced him to improve it to a better degree. He isn't the quickest or strongest, but he tries making up for it with a decent amount of stamina he has.

He knows his way around the more common herbs and greenery, how to ride a horse and while he does not tend to show it often, he knows how to whistle well in several different tones.

Loyalty:
Currently hired by House Trevelyan as a sellsword and blacksmith.
Occupation:
Rylen works both as a blacksmith and as a sellsword to train soldiers for House Trevelyan. In the past, he has worked with the Broken Banner and the Bitter Steel Companies as a sellsword.

Ambitions:
Unlike his half brother, Rylen has no wish to settle down as a noble and gain stature in a house. He has always wanted to be on the seas, traveling the world and discovering new places. His greatest ambition is to go further west to where no man has gone before.

Personality:
Rylen often comes off as outlandish, especially with the company he has been keeping of late. People who consider him such could say he's a loudmouthed, unrefined, uncouth, inelegant, crude lowlife, while others might say he's friendly, curious, sincere and fun. He lacks proper court etiquette, and so some people can find him offputting. This is mostly due to the combination of his uneducated past as a lowborn, smith's apprentice and his time spent with the men and women of the Bitter Steel Company.

He's a kind young man at heart but while he takes no pleasure from snuffing the life out of another man, he can forget about the horror of life and death during the thrill of a good old fight. Similarly, he loves nothing more than to be traveling, meeting new people and visiting new places.

[/spoili]

[ History ]
[spoili]
The History:
Rylen was decently taken care of for a lowborn. This is mostly due to his half-brother's nobility status as a bastard of the Ashwood house. His mother was a weaver for the lady of Bloodstone. She received a small sum of money from the Lord Ashwood to help raise her firstborn until he would be taken into the care of Lord Ashwood. Rylen was born around the time Duncan was taken away. For his first few years, Rylen wasn't very close to his half brother. He would play with kids his own age for a while, but with time, he grew fond of his absent brother. Over time, young Rylen grew to trust Duncan more than anyone else.

At the age of 10, Rylen's mother sent him to Bloodstone's blacksmith to work as an apprentice. While he was afraid to be away from his mother for the first time, his fear was overshadowed by his joy at the prospect of seeing his brother on a daily basis. While they were able to see each other quite a bit more at first, it wasn't very lordly of the son of Rickon Ashwood to be around a lowborn so much. Or at least that was what Lady Ashwood would say. For a few months, Rylen didn't get a chance to see his brother at all. One night, Duncan snuck Rylen out to the courtyard when everyone slept. And so began their daily ritual. Over the years, Duncan taught Rylen some of what he learned himself, acquainted him with a sword and pen.

Things were normal for a while, until Lady Ashwood jailed Duncan. At that point, Rylen started sitting at the courtyard alone at nights, as though that was where he should be. After a brief time, he helped sneak in some proper food from time to time. After his brother was let out, Duncan came to Rylen with the idea to escape. The young smith's apprentice was more than excited at the idea of seeing the world beyond the walls of Bloodstone that he'd heard so much about over the last few years. So they left.

They joined the Broken Banner soon after. Upon joining the mercenary group, Rylen took the name Arthur. He went through the rigorous training that any other member would. As a result, he gained a more refined understanding of swordsmanship. He worked at the forge quite a bit, learning from the master smith of the Company. He was the youngest in the company until the day he left, so most of the people he worked with treated him like a younger brother. With them, he grew quite a bit as a fighter and found a better appreciation of "family".

Two years after they joined the Broken Banner, Duncan, or then better known as Jorvan, prompted the two to leave. As it turned out, a small bounty had been put on the older brother's head. While Arthur didn't think they'd be betrayed by their brothers in arms, he followed Jorvan across the Narrow Sea to go to Essos. There, they found another company to take them in as their own. The Bitter Steel Company was a strange place for them. Arthur had never seen anyone from outside of the north of Westeros, but Essos became a home for him for a long time. He started working with the smith there, eventually forging the warhammer he uses today. He grew close to some of the sellswords, but there was a stranger atmosphere there. The people were very different. While many sellswords in Westeros were good at what they were doing, they rarely enjoyed killing as much as most of the fighters in Essos seemed to. The people they'd have to face were the same. It always seemed like people there treated the battlefield more like a playing field.

After several years with the Bitter Steel, the duo returned to Westeros to work for House Trevelyan. The conditions of their departure seemed vague. Some hostilities had come up with the brothers and half of the company while half of them supported their two young brothers in arms. They didn't seem to want to wait for the distasteful half to mete out their "justice", so they returned to Westeros.

Skills and various Traits:
Rylen is a talented and experienced fighter, having trained with sellswords for several years in different regions of the world. His fighting style is a mix of the heavy-handed Westerosi and the swift Braavosi. He has basic training in all manners of weapons, but he favors two in particular. He wields curved short swords, using them the way he learned from Jorvan and the sellswords that he grew up with. More than anything, Rylen is talented, so his reflexes and instincts are just right for a fighter. The second and his signature weapon is his warhammer. It's a weapon he forged in Essos with the help of the Bitter Steel Company's blacksmith. He trained himself on how to wield it, even to fight quick legged fighters in Essos. When going to battle, he sometimes uses it in conjunction with one of his swords, resting it on his shoulder to help carry it with one hand for the brief periods he uses a sword.

Besides his martial prowess, Rylen has some skill in smithing as well. He trained with the smith masters at Bloodstone, the Broken Banner and the Bitter Steel Company. While he's far from mastering the craft, he has been studying various techniques from the three different mentors he has had. Thanks to his occupation, Rylen has developed immense arm and back strength.

He also speaks Valyrian fluently.

Personality:
- Anderon has proven to be wise and give guidance to many of his disciples. This includes Lady Trevelyan, the young heir to House Trevelyan. Her father one and the same, heeding to his counsel in time of battle and local relations soon before his death. Before Anderon, it was his father Samuel who stood beside the Lord - displaying military acumen during times of war. Being raised by such influential figure, Anderon learned the harsh truth about the world at a young age. He was raised with utmost respect, manners that most children turned a deaf ear to. Learning to read early on despite the lack of proper education, Andron triumphed over other children his age. His father stated that wisdom and knowledge was the key to victory, a maxim Anderon took to heart and still follows to this day.

As an adult, he is known for his strict and pertinent demeanor. He does not allow much foolery from anybody in the presence of Lady Trevelyan. Despite some national concept that a woman cannot lead, Anderon swore an oath. It may be customary for women to be simple maidens, but he's seen proof of Amber Treveylan's strength and ability to guide her house. She is still young and is in sometimes in need of counsel, but that is Anderon's entire purpose. He ages by the day and he holds no child to continue his personal promise. Before his demise, he hopes to teach Amber everything he's learned throughout his years. He's seen the world go dark and what comes out of that darkness. He knows how to battle and protect the House he claims to love. His dedication and loyalty have given him the opportunity to truly make a difference. He may not have the final say on matters, but a simple word from his lips has an impact on the outcome of the laws and actions of House Trevelyan. -

- Born to Samuel Battley, Sworn Shield to Lord Carron Trevelyan, Anderon grew up with a single purpose - to serve and honor House Trevelyan and their lords. He was raised reading books of the history of their blood and that of their enemies. His education came from his father's need to instruct him, it was not an option or open for deliberation. Swordsmanship came afterward - upon being able to wield a blade, Anderon underwent instruction. Like his father, the boy was taught with a tower shield (a normally heavy and large shield that protect almost all of the human body) and a basic short short. Defense was the priority, attack a surprise and quick maneuver. "You will defend your Lord with your life."

Prospering into a teenager, Anderon took his duties more seriously as the next Sword Shield. It was Lord Trevelyan himself who trusted Samuel's own son to take his place when the time came. The Lord consigned the Battley's with the protection of his blood family. Anderon meanwhile continued to train, perfecting his swordsmanship, testing it against the castle's first defense. He also furthered his studies, reading more and more about the History of Westeros. He learned chivalry, posture and enhanced his vocabulary. Unlike most Knights in the South, Anderon appeared more privileged - not because of his wealth, but his demeanor and character.

Adulthood had become a pivotal time for Anderon. His father passed in battle protecting the Lord. His brother died of disease that scourged the north in winter. The loss had taken its toll, but simply internally. His vision did not waiver as his mission remained clear - protect Carron Trevelyan, his family and House Treveylan. He became the Sworn Shield for Lord Trevelyan and remained by his side for 17 years until his death. When his heir, Amber Trevelyan took office, he stands by her side - counseling and offering services to further her progress as a leader. Despite the jokes and claims of her inability to hold the House, Anderon sees her for her potential and knows she will triumph over the speculations.

Zahara Trevelyan
"No man will break my spirit."
Personal
[spoili]
Name and Title: Lady Zahara Trevelyan
Date of Birth (Age): First Spring 116 BC (27)
Height (Metric): 5'3" (160 cm)
Weight (Metric): 129 lb (59 kg)
Body Build: Athletic
Sexuality: Unknown

Appearance
Zahara has long, wavy blonde hair that's usually pulled away from her face in braids. She stands about an inch taller than average height for women and has blue eyes. Her skin is fair and she wears her heart on her sleeve. Zahara typically wears the teal and white colors of her house and around her neck is an old-fashioned silver chain necklace with the Trevelyan animal sigil given to her by her mother before she passed away. It has always been a constant reminder that there is hope, no matter how small it may seem.

Attributes
Loyalty: House Trevelyan, House Bolton
Occupation: Lady of the Manor, Archer (Freelance)
Religion: The Faith of the Seven, The Old Gods (Former)
Ambition: To prove herself in a man's world.

Personality
There's a sense of dignity and innocence that often radiates from Zahara. She enjoys lady like customs and traditions, such as dance, sewing, and poetry. Zahara doesn't get angry easily and tends to go the diplomatic route (usually), before any other route. Men have mocked her for putting herself in such a position of power and have often talked her down for it. She's always tried to take it like a man would; to fight her bruised ego and stand up for herself instead of letting others get to her. As a result, Zahara can become impulsive.

She's hardly what one could consider cunning, but she feels she's quite adept in forming alliances and delegating tasks without lying. Her brash, talkative personality, however, also tends to be her greatest weakness. Zahara is more than willing to put herself out there without any care in the world. She's a fierce individual; when someone challenges her, she won't back down without a fight. She's also protective of her siblings and would rather take blame for something they did and bear the emotional baggage so they don't have to.

[/spoili]

History
[spoili]
Zahara was regal and disciplined as a child. She enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, and other feminine customs. She loved to read and write; She often wrote poetry and read the astrology textbooks in the library for hours. As her mind expanded, so did her heart. She was compassionate and loyal to her extended family and anyone who came to visit the Trevelyan house on account of visiting or some other reason. Zahara was a bit rude and disrespectful to Amber, however, because she was envious of her position in future leadership.

When she was fourteen years old, she began to mirror Amber. She viewed her older sister as a role model despite their rocky relationship in her younger years. Combat training, however, did not come easily to Zahara as it had Amber. She gave up on trying to impress her parents and reverted back to her old ways. Chess, diplomatic endevours; Zahara wasn't suited to the life of martial status. She revered in their advisor's work after hearing some controversy from other families about their unconventional customs.

Determined to prove them wrong, she went along on a mission in secret and shadowed their advisor from afar. That was the first time she experienced reality as a young lady, but it wouldn't be the last. Zahara was eager to travel on future diplomatic missions, however, her first trip didn't end well. As she'd gone away without supervision to a meeting restricted only to the Trevelyan advisor, she was given a stern, yet emotional lecture by her father. He expected her to stay put, but Zahara wasn't interested.

Zahara disobeyed her father more than enough times. She got sexually involved with their advisor and he agreed to her terms, so long as she shadowed him from afar and didn't interrupt or speak out. For a while, Zahara got what she wanted without getting caught. She was quick on her toes and good at keeping their little secret. The longer it went on, the more Zahara allowed to let her emotions get in the way of doing her duty as a lady. The last time she saw the advisor was when a diplomatic conversation reached the point of escalation.

After the meeting ended, Zahara knew she'd gone too far and to make things worse, her father understood that as well. She was placed under house arrest and forbidden to see any men for a prolonged period of time. Strict regulations were put on place; she always had one of her Father's guards by her side, calculating where she was at different times of the day. There came a time later when her punishment was lifted. As much as one might expect her to be content, Zahara was far from ecstatic.

She gradually let go of the tragedy and found herself satisified with a daily ride and the heat of the sun. A few months later, she would learn how to wield the bow and arrow and eventually, struggle through a few lessons about how to use a dagger in close quarter combat. Over time, she became more mature and less complacent, thus, Zahara was offered a chance to attend a diplomatic mission once more. It went as well as could be expected from others; jabs and mockery, but her calm demeanor was impeccable.

Zahara kept her troubles to herself, but the jabs and mockery escalated. A woman doing a man's job; a woman who had no right to step forward and offer meaningless words as a solution to a problem. She'd already done enough back then; She had no right to the job of a diplomat now. Zahara quietly began to question her ability to make important decisions for her family in her own form; She's tried to send men in her place, but her father always felt that it'd be a sore mistake to back down. He believes in her strength, but she's never understood why.

Skills and Gear
[spoili]
Skills and Various Traits:
Zahara is extremely proficient in a recurve bow and arrow, able to concentrate and deliver accuracy over long distance targets. She's had quite a bit of experience in striking a moving object; Zahara's often brought out on hunting trips to help catch food year round. Her stealth and determination also helps her to aim.

Other than the bow and arrow, Zahara hasn't undertaken a large series of martial training because of her lack of motivation and hidden self-doubt in handling weapons made for men. She has, however, has learned a few basic lessons for close quarter combat with a dagger but that's about the extent of her martial training.

It seems she's more content with poetry, embroidery, and other feminine hobbies; things she's been doing for the duration of her whole life. She's proficient in horseback riding and has often been told by other men in court that she's right where she belongs; hidden away from the rest of the world where it's safe.

Weapons
Name: Recurve Bow & Arrow
Description: She picked it up one day out of agitation and started firing arrows all over the place. It wasn't a savory situation, but a man on the field who held high respects to the Trevelyan house offered to teach her how to shoot one properly and she accepted. Zahara has been practicing bow and arrow for over nine years now.

The bow itself is extremely worn out. There are scratch marks all over it here and there and the golden lacquer (as well as the brown lacquer itself) that was once carved on it has dulled. The bow string is falling apart, but is still decent. It could be in better shape if she brought it to a bowyer but she doesn't want to get it "fixed" because it holds sentimental value.

Armour and Attire
Name: Hunting Outfit
Description: Given as a gift for her 21st birthday. A set of leather armor, bracers, boots, and what not to compliment the look of a hunter. The whole package and loved dearly by Zahara.

[ History ]
[spoili]
The History:
Brought into the world by candle light was Elrin II's first daughter Meera. She was born on the 5th of May in the middle of night, minutes after her twin brother Alexander. Meera's mother, Ilsa, named her after a southerner, who was taken into the Frosthold after being lost in the woods for days. Her name means "prosperous", which Ilsa thought would bless the girl with a proper marriage arrangement, thus brining a prosperous era to the Frosthold. Both her parents took great pride in their first daughter, and took every chance to show her off. Many say that Meera was the happiest infant, usually laughing when the winds would blow.

Her happiness only grew as she did. Along with her twin brother the two young children grew up under the watchful eyes of their mother and many handmaidens. Their father was a strict man, not usually giving the children attention other than a few glares if they happened to laugh to loud. Alexander and Meera were often seen playing around the castle.

Meera's interests began to change as she began to observe more and more around the Frosthold. She began to notice how women were treated more or less like playing pieces in some sort of game. She could see the difference in the way people treated her and Alexander. People didn't see her as a bright and intelligent lady, they saw her as a girl of noble status. Nothing more, nothing less. It was then she made the decision to hide her wit behind a face of innocence. This persona allowed her to play her part as a proper lady, but it also enabled her to act as a spy around the Frosthold.

Meera's new found hobby of spying and getting her way became a way of life for her, but it couldn't stop the inevitable. Just days after her twin brother returned from his proving, barely alive, Meera had to go on hers. Meera's mother was distraught to say the least, she had almost lost her son and now she had to release her daughter into the cold woods with little survival skills. Meera hadn't been given any fighting expirence since she was a noble lady.

Her proving was difficult to say the least. She ventured the woods cold and scared, with only a silver dagger that her mother had given her as protection. On the second night of her proving she heard whimpers in the harsh winds. She followed the noises to find two lone wolf-dog pups. Taking pity on the pups she took both under her cloak and upon returning to the Frosthold, brought both pups into the household. She bestowed the one to her older brother Anselm as a gift for teaching her how to build a fire when she was younger. The other pup she kept for herself and named Valeria. Many at the Frosthold were shocked to see that Meera has survived her Proving. She credits it to the winds that guided her home, thus earning her the nickname "Lady of the Wind"

When her father grew older, Anselm began to take over his duties as Lord Marric. Anselm saw Meera as more than a pretty face and thus she began to serve as his advisor. She knows much of what goes on in Frosthold, secret or not. Her connections have even begun to spread to some of the bannerman houses under the Marrics. Meera's dedication to her family has only grown as she has. She loves and respects Anselm and thinks he is the best fit for King of the North. While she wasn't thrilled when Alexander told her that he wanted to become a knight, she only wishes for his happiness. She watched over and dotes on her two younger sisters, even though Reyna is a bastard. Meera keeps many friends and even after her parents passing and in the face of all her fathers mistakes she is prideful of House Marric.

Alexander is usually either wearing his armor or a more casual outfit. Though rather standard, his casual outfit does include the wolf-pelt cloak from the beast he killed during the Proving. He doesn't wear anything particularly flashy, preferring a more plain look. He has various scars from the years, though most aren't anything special. The most notable is the scar over his right eye.

The Red King of House Bolton.

True loyalties lie with House Marric and his siblings.

Occupation:
Sworn Shield for House Marric

Ambition(s):
Freedom from House Bolton.

Personality:
Alexander is a kind soul, though this rarely extends to many beyond his family. Both protective and loyal to his family, he will not hesitate to help should they be in need. To those he trusts and cares about, he is rather outgoing and friendly. Often with a smile, and eager to see them laugh. Working with his younger siblings to help them learn in various areas he may have knowledge. He also much likes to read and learn about things himself, in between his duties as a knight. As such, he has become quite literate and will also assist his siblings in learning to read as well. Those close would also find that Alexander is quite the romantic, though he never particularly has been the kind to flirt around.

To those not within that circle he trusts, Alexander is rather reserved. Opting instead to remain quiet, yet polite, for those around him. Though this certainly is not to be confused with being meek, as he carries himself with an air of confidence. Some may mistake this confidence for arrogance, but that is of little concern to him. In combat, he is rather brave, though he prefers to keep himself calm to have a clear mind. Something Alexander believes provides an edge over the opponent, and played a part in earning him the 'fearless' title. Alexander can also be extremely slow to trust those he is not known with, and doesn't particularly hide his opinions of others. Yet he is still always polite to others, thinking it beneficial.

[ History ]
[spoili]
The History:
Born just before midnight on May the 4th, Alexander Marric is the elder of the Marric twins, by only a matter of minutes. Throughout his youth, Alexander was fascinated by knights, and everything about them. Their stories of heroism, bravery, and even the way the way their armor looked. So from a young age, Alexander had decided that he would be a knight. He had always been rather close to his siblings, though none came even remotely close to the bond that Alex shares with his twin, Meera. The two grew up together, and often were seen playing around the castle, whenever their duties permitted. From an early age, Alex also showed interest in learning to read and write. In his spare time, such as after mother had told him to go to sleep, he could often times be found with his nose buried in a book of some sort.

Over the years, Alex grew stronger and quite adept in martial arts. Occasionally he would make time to spend with his younger siblings, and helping with their educations wherever he could. Then the day came for Alexander's Proving. Released into the forest, the boy almost immediately encountered trouble. Not long after he had been left alone, Alexander encountered a lone wolf that seemed to be dead set on having him as a meal. He was able to just barely defend himself, both the wolf and himself were injured in their fight and retreated to recuperate from their wounds. This was not the end of the boy's battle, as on both the second and third day he heard the sounds of something stalking him through the forest. On the fourth day, Alexander was resting to clean his leg wound when the beast suddenly surged into the clearing. Another battle followed, in which both the boy and beast were injured once more. Alexander knew he didn't have long before his wounds would become lethal in this environment, and as such decided to risk travel during the night. The next day, as he sat for a brief rest, his foe appeared once more. Seemingly enraged at being held off twice now. In their fight, the beast pinned Alexander and went for the kill. However the boy managed to drive his dagger through its eye, catching it by surprise. Not long after, the beast was dead. On the sixth day of his proving, Alexander returned home. Dragging a dead wolf, and with wounds covering his body that required immediate attention.

Since that day, Alex has kept the pelt of the wolf as cloak. A trophy of his victory over the beast. The pelt, along with a few scars across his chest and his face are the reminders of his proving. Since then, he had become a sworn shield for House Marric. Taking part in a few battles here and there, earning himself the moniker of fearless, as he stood firm in times others would've ran in fear.

[ Skills and Gear]

Skills and various Traits:
Alexander is a rather skilled and experienced fighter. His main choice for combat is wielding his bastard sword with a two handed grip. However, Alexander does have experience with using a lance. Alexander usually does not carry a shield into battle, relying more on his armor for protection. Alexander has mastered the usage of his weapon to a good degree. He is capable of fighting from horseback, and has no particular problems with it. When it comes to archery, Alexander is most certainly not the best shot.

Alexander knows a bit about military tactics and strategies, one of his favored fields of study. He likes to read, and has become rather literate in doing so. As such, he is also quite capable of writing. Though some of his siblings do tease him over the quality of his handwriting. Alexander is very patient, and has also learned to keep himself calm during a fight. He is also quite good at reading opponents during combat, telling what they are about to do.

Grandparents:
Father's side:

Salna Faerson, grandmother. Deceased, fifteen years ago.

Eyan Faerson, grandfather. Deceased twenty years ago.

Mother's side:

Nira Harker, grandmother. Deceased eighteen years ago.

Dran Harker, grandfather. Deceased ten years ago.

Parents :
Father: Torrick Faerson. Passed two years ago, his health gradually decreasing. Reached the age of 59.

Mother: Railey Faerson. Passed five years ago at the age of 45 after a period of illness

Siblings:
Liana Faerson, youngest sister

Sanah Faerson, younger sister

Distant relatives:
None at the moment, though one could consider the once living Harker family as relatives.

Appearance:

A man with a rather stern expression, having light brown hair like his youngest sister but being the only sibling with blue eyes instead of brown. As the only son his father had, he was raised to carry himself like a man. Being raised by the finest martial instructors they had, while giving him a decent education into diplomacy. Has seen him become a rather hardened man. The attires he wear are oddly not what one would expect the leader to wear, yet none choose to question him on this opting to wear clothing that matches his origin just like his younger sister Sanah

Loyalty:
Loyal to his own house, sworn bannermen of House Marric
Occupation:
House leader of Faerson

Ambition(s):
Being house leader has given rise in him to something he's never before seen. He wishes to see his house being known among the greats in the North, yet to be even greater than them.

Personality:
Being the only son in the family meant he was raised to be the man one day. He was trained to be both a fighter and a leader, so it's not a surprise that he shows great care for his people. He knows how to be the kind of leader the people want, which shockingly wasn't how his father tried to teach him to be. Yet he can also be the stern one that if need be would make the hard decision no one else would dream to make. While he wouldn't consider himself to be on the level of a diplomat like his sisters may be, he is a fighter and will fight for his people in whatever way it may require. Be it brutality, or through more subtle means.

Only his siblings know of his dreams for their house, as they are the only ones he knows he can trust to keep it secret until the time is ready. Through his younger siblings he learned most of his compassion for the people, even if Sanah might have aided him in how to please them, or schemed to paint him in a better picture than the one his father had been in. This however does mean that his people were willing to get past his stern expression and have more open talks with him, even if it's simply about how the day is going. A man of the people, and a fighter for his people.

[ History ]
[spoili]
The History:
Being first born and the only son meant life for him was more taxing, as it was instilled in him at a young age he would succeed his father. So his education was plentiful on all subjects, trained to be a decent diplomat so he wouldn't make a fool out of himself when talking with other house leaders. He was trained in martial experience to be a more fitting and strong leader for his people. One that could defend himself and their house. He was never really given much of a break not even when his sisters were born, or even when he grew to his teenage years. He barely knew what was going on in his sister's lives besides the little his father told him before making him get back to work studying and training.

Yet like most male teenagers, one couldn't stop hormones from taking surface in the young man. Becoming more interested in women, they started becoming more and more of a distraction. So much so that a young maid caught his attention the most, in fact it caught his attention at the worst possible timing. As he was sparring with one of his martial instructors, the young lady passed by causing him to forget swordplay and gaze at her giving her a smile. Only for him to recoil backwards as he lowered his sword, causing the instructor to hit him in the face with the practice sword. While it may not have been sharp, the very point manage to pierce his face a bit and cut it open. This caused a rather sizeable gash on his face to form and blood to flow. This event earned the onlookers of anyone near and aid from said maids who tried to slow the bleeding long enough for it to get properly healed. The incident however earned him a rather big scar, and a huge scolding from his father who barred any female from being near him while he was training.

As he became older, he began to learn more about his sister's it surprised him what sort of things they knew about. Father was never this smart, nor were any of their servants for that matter. The two of them were naturally bright women who took what they knew from the world around them and benefitted from it. His youngest sister was rather the crafty little one, able to create things he could never do. While Sanah was most certainly the more clever of them all, so when he heard about father and her argument and with father becoming ill and dying in his sleep from this "illness". So when father had passed, with him becoming the new house leader she was rather honest with him about the event. While learning of such an event should have probably made him wary of his sister, it didn't really damage their bond. In the end his father wasn't the best leader for their house and she took it upon herself to get rid of him before the people did.

So under his rule, with Sanah being his advisor that wasn't seen, he would listen and act on the advice she gave. Feeling a bit bad that he was taking credit for her ideas, yet knew she preferred it this way. Any opinion about him that may have surfaced from his father's reign was all but snuffed out with all the work his sisters put into action. Yet now that he had sworn fealty to House Marric, he had it arranged that his youngest sister Liana would become House Marric's Courtier. Now with it just being Sanah and himself at Tamworth, they could only plot ahead to bigger things.

Skills and various Traits:
Having been taught much about combat from all of House Faerson's military veterans, he has become rather experienced in most weaponry handed to him. Although he seems to dislike fighting with polearms. While having experience in most weapons, his go to favorites are his Waraxe and sword. Being taught warfare from these men has given him some tactics that can be used in certain situations, so while never having seen combat they haven given him an idea of what he could possibly do. Although he lives by the motto one of the veterans have told him. "Never pick a fight you know you cannot win." He does however have some skill riding on horses, granted some of them don't care for him and buck him off.

Also being raised diplomatically means, he knows how to talk with other leaders and even get some to get on his side, maybe even just make a dealing better for his house instead. Able to pick out the ones that cannot lie from those that do is a handy trait, yet wherever he fails in this category he has more than enough confidence his sister will know what to do.

Name:
Hacker

A war axe that has been passed down from father to son and so on. It was said that Eric Faerson had the axe forged and has given it the name Hacker, for its ability to cleave through men like butter. One would be shocked to know it's a normal steel axe, just one with engravings on it.

Loyalty:
Loyal to House Faerson, sworn bannermen of House Marric.
Occupation:
Lady-in-waiting.

Ambition(s):
She seems to many as somebody who doesn't seem to dare to dream big but in fact, Liana shares some ambitions of her siblings but on a smaller scale.

Personality:
Liana usually comes over friendly and polite. She talks with a voice that has been described by some people as soothing and calming, rarely hearing the young lady curse or say something of great discomfort. Being attributed with having quick wits and an open attitude, that is just what most people tend to know of Liana. In truth, she can be distrustful and spin lies in order to her own benefit as a sense of security. While she tells herself that the lies she spins are a necessity, Liana tends to relish in them. She uses her sharp mind in order to quickly gain an understanding of people and situations, causing her to try to play little games.

There are some people who Liana tends to trust and care for. Though few in numbers and often rarely anybody unknown to her, Liana does harbour a few interests that aren't really in line what one should expect of a lady-in-waiting. She likes what many consider typical things, like weaving and singing but she does have some interest in venturing to new and far places.

[/spoili]

[ History ]
[spoili]
The History:
The youngest of the Faerson siblings, Liana's childhood wasn't ideal. Torrick, her father, was a caring and yet harsh father. The education that was provided allowed Liana to learn how to write and read but also introduced a strict regime of how a lady should behave. It wasn't something that Liana truly enjoyed but her father was quick and firm in giving punishments if she showed signs of disobeying the rules. Because of that, Liana gained as a child a strong dislike for the rules of others. Wanting to live by her own rules. Only, unlike some, she wasn't so blessed with choosing her own interests outside what her father desired for her. Being groomed into a lady-in-wait, Liana's destiny was to be used in a political marriage with a potential suitor, that could perhaps increase the wealth and influence of House Faerson. A fate that Liana dreaded but learned to accept it at a certain point.

During her studies in how to live at court, Liana started to develop an interest in herbal medicine. Not that she was able to get out often from Tamworth but she managed by requesting and making others get her the herbs. Even starting to test out the effects as results on small critters. It became something that Liana had to conduct in secrecy as she was well aware that her father would disapprove. The only ones that she trusted with this 'hobby' was with her siblings. Sanah would make way to use her own skills and connections to provide Liana with anything she needed as to keep the hobby hidden from father. If anything, Torrick Faerson thought that his youngest daughter was just interested in collecting and examening plants. Not to indulge into using them to make either poisons, one that might have found its way into the chalice of the old man.

The passing of Torrick Faerson gave rise to a new time. With Rydan becoming the leader of House Faerson, they would have to swear once more fealty towards House Marric. Eventually it would be arranged that Liana would become a courtier of House Marric instead of staying in Tamworth.

Skills and various Traits:
Liana is trained in the art of diplomacy and how to act as one would expect of somebody that is of noble blood. She has a quick and sharp mind, that has come to use for the young woman to obtain her goals and given objectives. Being quite talented and experienced in lying has certainly benefited her too. What is less known and expected is that Liana is somewhat indulged in how to brew and make various potions that have different effects. Having a good sleight of hand has been a most useful skill for her as well. Last but not least is that Lainah is quite proficient in lock picking, being able to open locks of doors and hatches.

List of weapons.

Name:
Biter
Description:
A steel dagger that Lainah sometimes carries with her. It isn't in any way or form allowing her to stand her ground against foes that had a more militant background but it gives a sense of security and can be used as a last resort. Even though Lainah's skill with it are just as good as any average person with a knife.
Appearance:

Name:
Lainah's poisons.
Description:
Having indulged in various studies of herbs and experiments, Lainah is known with various poisons that can be obtained from plants or brewing them together. She is more versed in the common poisons such as nightshade and greycap. Though she knows how to make some antidotes to combat various common poisons, she has little to no knowledge of the more rare poisons.

List of armour or attire.

As it befits a lady in waiting, Lainah has several dresses. Most in a colour scheme that shows the colours of House Faerson. Her clothing choice is more often than not simple, to not provoke too much attention from other others while the quality is above that of what most smallfolk tend to wear. Currently, Lainah has no set of armour or protective gear as she has no use or need for it.

[/spoili]

[ History ]
[spoili]
The History:
Born to Richard and Sigrid, Ida was a very beloved child as she was the only child and what they called a miracle. Her mother and father were common folk that grew crops and sold them for a living. Looking back, she remembers the beginning years of her childhood being filled with laughter and love, up until their farm was raided. Ida was held against her will and watched her own mother and father die before her own eyes before the men inside the house turned their swords towards her. Fortunately, in a way, another bandit walked in before the sword was able to slice through her. It was a rather tall woman with long blonde hair that stopped the murder from happening. Ida was then taken with the group of bandits and forced to live among them for her survival.

As Ida grew, she found herself having to lie in order to be able to get any type of food or coin from the other bandits that she lived in. Always giving half to her new 'mother', the young girl was left with a little and used it to go into nearby towns to get whatever piece of bread or drink she could afford. At times, she'd lie to those in taverns about her life and who she was to get more than needed. As the bandits became aware of her talents, she became the silent thief of her group and the stealing only became more elaborate.

The stealing and thievery carried on for several years until the group of bandits was attacked by men in all black with black flags and no sigils. Having little fighting experience, Ida was able to get by the bloody scene with only a couple scrapes and flee towards the nearest safe haven, which happened to be the House of Marric. This was when she was only 17, and begged for the lords and ladies to find a place in their hearts to accept her. To her good fortune, they took her in as a servant and from there she has gained the trust of those in the house and been a faithful handmaiden for years.

Theme music:
Will find one soon.

Skills and various Traits:
If lying is considered a skill then Ida has mastered it. She also knows how to wield a sword and smaller knives and knows how to use them in case of an emergency. Having been taken while young, Ida does not know how to read or write but is surprisingly well spoken, and knows the difference between a beautiful rose and a deadly wild flower. She has made her own clothes ever since a young child, and can make both clothes for men and women, all with time.

List of weapons.

Name:
-The Sisters-

Description:
The Sisters were gained in a small raid that the bandits managed to get out of successfully. She keeps them hidden within the folds of her dresses.

Appearance:
The Sisters are all silver, seven inch blades that are easily concealable as opposed to swords. They are not heavy either but take time to learn how to wield both without cutting oneself.

WITH PASSION AND FIERCE DOMINATION

[spoili]
NAME
Hel Sand (Bastard Son of Deceased Lord Juyriel Larsayne of Dorne)

ALIASES
The Dancing Scorpion
~A nickname/infamous title he earned from his style of fighting. He doesn't stand in one spot and swing a sword around like other Westerosi knights, sellswords and fighters. Hel makes a dance of his battles; using his entire body to move around an opponent so there isn't much possibly of him being flanked or surprised attacked. Wearing light and breathable armor keeps his speed from being brought down by heavier material.~

The Charming Dornish Bastard
~Another nickname he earned from his performance; yet not from his fighting skills; but for his bedroom skills. A man of full blood dornish heritage. Hel has the charm, the grace and the seductiveness of a Dornishmen that has had both women and men fall to it's prowess at times.~

GENDER
Male

AGE
Hel was born on June 25th in 115 B.C. Making him 26 years of age at the very moment.

LENGTH & BODY BUILD
Hel Sand at 5'10 even (178 CM)

Hel is a fit and in shape male. Since he was trained to be a fighter most of his life, he keeps his body in fighting form. A lean build with strong muscular definition.

WEIGHT
Hel weighs exactly 198 pounds (90 kg)

SEXUALITY
Hel has dated and slept with men and women and he doesn't have any preference for either one over the other. He finds the natural beauty of a woman to draw him in, and he finds the natural strength of a man to draw him in. If there was a sexuality he'd see himself as it would be Pansexual.

RELIGION
The Lord of Light (R'Hllor)

GRANDPARENTS
Paternal
Lord Garyiel Larsayne, Grandfather
Lady Ellianya Larsayne, Grandmother

Maternal
Emeri Sand, Grandfather
Isabel Sand, Grandmother

PARENTS
Lord Juyriel Larsayne, Father
Nayleen Sand, Mother

SIBLINGS
Hel had two half siblings who were killed with his father and his father's wife (his siblings mother) when he was young.

Jameylven Larsayne, Half Brother (Deceased Heir to House Larsayne)
Ser Adryan Larsayne, Half Brother (Deceased Knight of House Larsayne)

There has been rumors for years that Lord Juyriel Larsayne has multiple bastard childrens all over Westeros but so far, only Hel Sand has been discovered. Even so, Dornish men and women treat their bastards like their actual children and not some one night mistake; like other Westerosi citizens.

DISTANT RELATIVES
No proof of any distant relatives has been discovered, but Hel Sand's mother's side might have blood connections with The Great House of Dorne. Only time will tell if that information will ever be revealed to be true or false.

APPEARANCE
Hel Sand tends to dress in light clothing and bright colors. Being from Dorne, bright colors and light, breathable wear is the most practical and it also shows off his physique. As he does love to make a show of things, Hel wears the brightest; yellows, oranges and reds he can get his hands on. The profits he makes from giving out his services to different Houses, he uses on clothing and weaponry, but mostly clothing. With those striking poison green eyes that all Larsaynes share in common, Hel's choice of clothing bring the gold flecks out more. He has somewhat changed up his style of clothing to survive in such a harsh climate as The North, yet his bright colors are only slightly covered and hidden by thicker leather.

LOYALTY
Loyal to the one that gives the better offer. For now that is House Marric.

OCCUPATION
Current: Sellspear for House Marric
Previous: Sellspear for Hire

AMBITION
Hel Sand truly wants to just live a life of fun and excitement. He has already travel around to different parts of the world, further than most Westerosi men and women will ever. Yet there is more out there that not even he knows about. He wants to travel with someone special and find whatever else it out there for him to find.

PERSONALITY
Hel Sand, like most if not all Dornishmen is a seductive and charming individual. He has an aura of strong domination and magnetic charisma that brings people into his web of debauchery and zealous behavior with ease. A man of carefree nature and unique viewpoint of the world, Hel is a breath of fresh air for most Northerners. He will always have a smile on his face, even in the mist of an intense battle or conversation. There isn't much that will break that smile from his face. A rather youthful and energetic man that doesn't let such a thing like being a bastard bring him down. Hel prides himself on being a bastard and having people look down upon him. At least he knows who to be a friend to or a foe to when they hear he is not only of Dorne blood, but that he is also a bastard.

Hel Sand's pride and stubbornness are two things that almost outshine his charm and seductiveness. When he puts his mind into something, there is nothing or no one that will be able to change it. Hel does what Hel wants, if it means his own survival in the end. There has only been a few times where he has risked his neck for someone else and that was when he was in love with said person or when he thought he was in love. Only love has a stronger hold over Hel than his own pride and stubbornness.

As carefree and charming as Hel Sand truly is, that hotheaded and vengeful streak that most Dorne men and women have is right under the surface of that beautiful smiling face of his. If someone betrays him or hurts the one(s) he loves, there will be only way to stop Hel Sand from seeking revenge on the one that did such a thing; and that's a sword or any other form of weapon through his heart. He will not stop doing his damnedest to end the life of anyone that takes away people he deeply cares for. The biggest downfall to his personality is his anger getting the best of him and colliding with his prideful traits.

[/spoili]

[spoili]
Hel Sand was born to Lord Juyriel Larsayne and his Paramour, Nayleen Sand on a beautiful and very hot day in Dorne. Hotter than usual in the usually boiling southernmost region of Westeros. His mother gave birth to him in her parent's old home near the edge of Planky Town. At the time of Hel's birth Juyriel was at home in his castle with his first and second sons, while his third son was being born. From birth, Hel Sand wasn't suppose to be just some lowly bastard child of a Dorne Vassal House Lord. The Lord of Light had been watching over him the entire birth; that is how his mother explains the heat of a thousands flames that covered Dorne in the hottest day of that year.

Hel Sand grew up knowing nothing of his father; his mother decided not to say anything about the man that took her for a few nights out of the year and would leave without a word the next morning.

Though, in his early teens, Hel Sand would finally meet Lord Juyriel.

The young boy had stayed up later than usual one night and heard noises at the front of his home and decided to pick up a dagger his mother kept around just to be safe and tried to stab at the shadow that walked around the home. Yet, Juyriel grabbed him up before he could do any damage.

Seeing those familiar poison green eyes staring back at him, Juyriel immediately ordered for Nayleen to tell him the truth, in front of Hel. With the discovery that Hel Sand was his son, and that Nayleen had hid her pregnancy and the birth of said son from him for almost sixteen years, Lord Juyriel broke it off with her and vowed to never speak to her again. He would only keep a relationship with his son, since Hel had nothing to do with his mother's idiotic actions.

Though Nayleen knew that Juyriel wouldn't treat her son any different than his two other children, she couldn't bare seeing Hel taken off to the castle and turned into one of The Larsayne's brew of malevolent demons. Nayleen loved Juyriel, this is true, but his two sons were as mad as their acidic mother.

No matter how much she prayed to the Lord of Light and did whatever she could to stop such a thing from happening, Hel Sand left one night and found his way to Larsayne Castle on nearly the other side of Dorne.

Once there, he told his father that he wanted to train to be as great of a fighter as his brothers were. Everyone around Dorne knew that the Larsayne boys were formidable fighters of the style they called "battle dancing" and Hel wanted to learn the same technique.

He would train for years upon years. As he got closer to his father and his brothers and their mother, Hel's own mother barely saw her only child. There was still some betrayal left inside of Hel from his mother's actions, but he couldn't stop loving the woman that gave him life.

After years of not seeing Nayleen, Hel decided to take the time to visit her and his childhood home. The Lord of Light must have been taking great care of him, for he left the same day his father, brothers and their mother would take their last breaths.

As he spent time with his mother and grandparents, news spread around Dorne about the Larsaynes being poisoned in their sleep. An ironic death as The Larsaynes were known to use poison with all of their weaponry and styles of fighting. When Hel heard the news he left his mother once again, to see it all for himself. Finding his family dead in their beds. Peaceful looks on their lifeless faces. He cried for days upon days. People said he didn't leave the castle for months and that they could hear his screams of rage and sadness throughout the day and night.

Hel never found out who killed them all and there was no way The Great House of Dorne could help either. This was a devastating lost for Hel Sand and he couldn't sit around and wallow about who or what could have done such a thing. Though his rage and vengeful hunger was never given satisfaction, Hel began to use his fighting excellence to make a name for himself in Dorne and to find a purpose for living.

Around this time, his mother and her parents had passed from old age and Hel Sand was on his own for the first time ever. There wasn't much left for him in Dorne, so he joined a Traveling Sellspear/sword Company named "The Seekers of Light" ran by a true believer of The Lord of Light and Hel Sand was one of the first Dornishmen Lord of Light believers that joined them.

Though he had skill and knowledge of fighting from his deceased father, Hel Sand was still on the lower end of the sellspear/swords men and was treated as such until he proved himself by completing many of the bounties that were given to him and a few other members.

As a few years went by, Hel Sand became tired of traveling around and seeing the same faces over and over again. Even though The Seekers of Light traveled all over Westeros and even Essos, there was still something missing for Hel Sand and that was the love of another. Sure he made love to many, but none ever made him feel complete like he knew he wanted.

During one of his deeper sleeps, The Lord of Light came to him and showed Hel an image of a brown haired Princess standing facing away from him on a snow covered mountain and that was all he needed to make his decision to head North clear. He would follow The Lord of Light's words and images faithfully and without question. If he was to go North to find the one that would complete him, he would.

There wasn't an easy way to get out of The Seekers of Light, but when he heard that Houses in The North were seeking sellswords and fighters, he knew that The Lord of Light had plans for him and he used his deceptive and tactical ways to get out of the company with his own weapons and anything that belonged to him.

Finding his way to the North, Hel Sand has been working for House Marric for over a year now and he has since found or he thinks he has found that brown haired Princess on the snowy mountain hill in the vision he had that beautiful night.

SKILLS & TRAITS
Hel Sand is an excellent fighter with spears and dual swords. Though he doesn't just go into a fight with just those weapons. His vast knowledge of different poisons gives his nickname "The Dancing Scorpion" that scorpion quality. He knows different forms of poisons and how they work and how long it takes for them to take affect and how said effects will work on different types of people. When it comes to less lethal skills, Hel is a very charming and social person that can fit in well with the nobles, yet he would rather not be around them for too long. Being who he is, Dorne's Customs are vastly different than those of the other kingdoms of Westeros, especially The North.

Hel Sand prefers speed and movement over strength and durability. Rather hitting and dashing around, instead of slashing and bashing in one spot. Though he does lack in the area of brute force, Hel Sand is one of the faster spear and dual weapon fighters out there. Though nowhere near the best of the best, he has been trained to fight with said weapons as if they are parts of his body.

His style of fighting needs balance and thought in every move he makes. To others it might look like he's making fun of his opponent because of his dancing around them (which sometimes he is), Hel Sand thinks way before he makes a move and it also has helped build his tactical ways when he's talking with someone or doing something non-fighting related.

List of weapons.

NAME
The Scorpion's Tail

DESCRIPTION
When he first asked his father to teach him how to fight like his older brothers, Lord Juyriel didn't hand Hel a sword no, he handed him a spear. The Scorpion's Tail was the first gift that his father ever gave Hel. The spear is a double ended weapon. Hel is able to use either side to cause damage and the smaller side is the one he coats with poison. Hence the Scorpion's Tail. While the big spearhead is the claws, the small spearhead is the tail. The Scorpion's Tail is his main weapon in any battle and he rarely goes anywhere without it nearby. Using it since the beginning, Hel is more than proficient with it.

APPEARANCE
Has a Scorpion engraved in the wooden part of the spear (Representing his Family's Sigil); just below the bigger spearhead.

NAME
Sunrise & Sunset | The Beginning & The Ending

DESCRIPTION
Dual swords made from precious metals and jewels earned for his work in Essos. These are Hel's secondary weapons. Though not as far a reach as The Scorpion's Tail, they still have a mid-range fighting capability. The name Sunrise & Sunset comes from the style of fighting Hel does when using them. Always striking first with Sunrise and ending his attack with Sunset. Not really the swords intent, but Hel uses Sunrise for more slashing and dashing, while Sunset is used for puncturing and jabbing.

NAME
Poison

DESCRIPTION
Hel uses poison mostly for the tips of his weapons and in battle, and these poisons usually take effect during the battle or afterwards. None of them are incurable, and most take several days to kill if not treated properly.

List of armor or attire.
~Usually Hel is dressed in beautiful outfits made of nice brightly dyed animal skins and materials, since most of the profits for his services goes to clothing. Since he has been in The North, he has been changing his style up a lot to fit the climate and not die from freezing to death. He has a ring with a gold scorpion creating the band and a green jewel on top, representing the Larsayne blood that lives inside of him.~

NAME
Hel Sand's Scorpion Armor

DESCRIPTION
Finding armor that not only kept him warm in The North but also kept his Dornish culture part of it was almost impossible, but he did find some and is happy about it. It's still breathable and movable so it doesn't impair his speed or maneuverability. He hasn't worn it in battle yet, it is still in great condition. Luckily his hotblooded dornish body and The Lord of Light's flames keep him also warm in The North.

Name:
House Faerson

House Words:
None so Brave.
The rumoured answer that Eric gave when it was asked when people asked how a hunter decided to take on a large bear with just a bow and few arrows.

Overlord:
Sworn to House Marric.

Sigil:
DdMm7mN.png

The bow and arrow resemble the weapon of choice of the founder of the Faerson house. The story goes that the founder, Eric, once managed to save an heir of House Marric from a bear. Driving the large animal away with unleashing arrows upon the beast, Eric was given a plot of land and the title of knight.

Traits:
There aren't any traits that really set the members of House Faerson apart from others. They are like many of the northerners loyal to their own and quite proud of their heritage. Followers of the Old Gods, the members of House Faerson have only a very small weirdwood tree in their holding. They do specialise and train levies and men at arms in using the longbow, as they are sworn as bannermen to provide House Marric with troops during times of conflict.

History:
One-hundred-fifty years ago, the House of Faerson was founded. A hunter that went by the name of Eric came to the aid of the heir of House Marric. The rescue earned Eric some plot of land as a landed title. Choosing the name Faerson as his banner, Eric started to work on his plot of land. With some hired help he would start building the foundation of Tamworth, between Frosthold and Hornwood. Eric wouldn't find the foundation of a castle though but had more of an interest to find a city. Dreaming big he had the vision of a large trade centre that could act as a staple market from more northern sites, selling and bring products to other places such as White Harbor.

Work went quickly as some small folk settled down on the land as Eric designed his dream settlement. While he had good ideas, Eric wasn't an educated man. One that just got a large dream. The bounty of the given land by the Marrics allowed him to finance most of his upkeeps and expenses but it never truly did allow him to realise his dreams before his departure from the world of the living.

Through time House Faerson would work and expand Tamworth, making the settlement grow into a small settlement. A stout stone wall with a few towers to guard most of its occupants and a large manor in the city would become the seat of the Faersons. The revenue that would come from the town's economy would be used to pay some taxes to House Marric as to support the needs and comfort of House Faerson.

Currently, House Faerson is led by Rydan Faerson with the aid of his siblings. The previous leader, may he rest in peace, was Torrick Faerson that passed away two years ago. Torrick's tenure as the leader of house Faerson and Tamworth saw some unrest. Torrick wasn't a sympathetic man and he several times raised the land taxes of his direct subjects in order to see some personal ambitions and projects done. It certainly didn't help that the rule of Elrin the Odd of House Marric was not the best, causing some doubt among the members of House Faerson what to think of their position with House Marric. As soon as Torrick Faerson passed and Rydan took over, Tamworth did blossom again. Some taxes were lowered and various charity events were held by one of Rydan's sisters, which praise and love were directed at Rydan Faerson. Contributing to the stability of the small city.

Customs:
House Faerson doesn't have much different customs than the average Northern Houses. They are followers of the Old Gods and most loyal to their own. It is, however, a custom that young men that reach the age of thirteen are required to train and wield the longbow for four hours on Monday and Thursday. This custom is both for the House Faerson as for their small folk, allowing the House to raise more capable levies during times of war. This is furthered by that a local archery contest is held at the city every few years.

Members:
The Founder:
Eric Faerson.
The founder of House Faerson. After saving the life of the heir of House Marric, he was given a plot of land and started the foundation of Tamworth.

A revered ancestor: Rydan Faerson.
He had the status of being one of the best archers in the local area of Tamworth and his rule was fair and just, being a most loyal bannermen to House Marric.

Previous leader: Torrick Faerson.
A stern man that is remembered for his harsh reign over the settlement and area of Tamworth. His tenure wasn't really favoured for putting more pressure on the smallfolk but it wasn't questioned either, not openly, as many didn't wish to provoke the wrath of the man.

Current leader: Rydan Faerson. (Zane)

Other Faerson members:
- Sanah Faerson, sibling of Rydan Faerson. (Lesli)
- Laina Faerson, sibling of Rydan Faerson. (Alice)

- Andren Faerson, uncle of the Faerson siblings. 41 years old at the moment.
- Elize Faerson, aunt of the Faerson siblings. 34 years old at the moment.

- Mateo Faerson, uncle of the Faerson siblings. 48 years old at the moment.
- Bessy Faerson, aunt of the Faerson siblings. 29 years old at the moment. (Mateo's second wife.)

Household:
Previous Leader:

Torrick Faerson

Current Leader:
Ryndar Faerson

Master at arms:
Andren Faerson (NPC)
Treasurer:

Mateo Faerson (NPC)

Household knights:
None, at the moment.

Holding:
The city of Tamworth is founded between Hornwood and Frosthold. It is a settlement where are a prosperous but yet small population live in. The surrounding land and woods provide some resources as most of the revenue originate from the trade done by the local small folk. While a stone and stout wall as few towers defend the city, it is by no means a great example of fortifications. The city itself has a few granaries as their own brewery, the later owned directly by House Faerson. Most structures in Tamworth are solid but still from wood as many can't afford the more expensive as durable stone. Even the Faerson manor is built from wood.

Name:
House Marric

House Words:
Through Wisdom, Strength
- The mantra of Dorick Marric, spoken to his sons before his death at the hands of House Bolton.

Overlord:
The Red King of House Bolton

Sigil:
housemarric-png.144087

The Sigil of House Marric features the triquera upon a faded star, pierced by a representation of the Redblade to honor the late Dorick Marric.

Traits:
The traits of House Marric is much like the average of the North. Most of its members bear dark brown or black coloured hair, though auburn hair is not uncommon. Most of them tend to have straight hair but there have been various members with more curls at the end of their hair. Some members tend to be tall and there has only ever been one short member, a dwarf named Edd. Furthermore, the House Marric has been able to afford a decent education for its members in various fields. They might not be a wealthy house but they are certainly a proud one, signs of arrogance according to some. But, such claims usually come from rivals and disgruntled neighbours.

History:
The history of House Marric is rumoured to be around four hundred years old. Their founder was a warrior by the name of Elrin that got sick of the life of a sellsword after commanding a mercenary company known as the Whiteblades, a term that continues as the name of House Marric's elite soldiers. Having seen various conflicts in his time, Elrin started to use some of his savings to build a farmstead of his own. Putting the sword and shield aside except to defend his homestead and those who followed him, Elrin's life would end without any bloodshed following it. The farmstead would, however, expand and grow. The descendants of Elrin would soon enough gain enough wealth to use nearby resources to start building a keep of stone. Located south of the Dreadfort and east of Hornwood, the keep held dominion over some fertile coastland. This triggered soon enough a conflict that lasted for a short two years.

The Boltons justified their attack on House Marric as they claimed that the lord of House Marric had offended them with refusing of accepting a trade arrangement as arranged marriage with true nobility. Though House Marric fought bravely under the leadership of Dorick Marric two centuries ago, they would be defeated. This would led to the death of Dorick Marric while his oldest son was warned to not disobey the Red King of House Bolton. Dorick's successor would remain loyal while focusing on expanding the Marric dominion. Various small villages would be established as some small estates, granted to loyalists that would become bannermen of House Marric.

While they are sworn to House Bolton, the Marrics have traded over various times of peace with the Hornwoods before they also would fall to the influence and power of the Red Kings. Friendship would blossom between the Marrics and Hornwoods. But eventually, this friendship would decay into a disgruntle cooperation that slowly started to become festered with an anger of the Hornwoods towards the Marrics. Something that only the previous leader of House Marric seemed to be aware off but not willing to speak about, to anybody. But, in accordanceto the customs of Erlin I, House Marric has its doors open those in times of need, although betrayal is met with the punishment due.

Customs:
The House Marric has the custom that when a child reaches the age of thirteen, they are sent out to endure a trial known as the Proving. The Proving consists of the child entering the woods around Frosthold with only their clothes and a hunting knife and are to survive on their own in the forests before finding their way back to Froshold, which takes no less five days. Upon their completion of the Proving and return to Frosthold, the castle throws a large feast to honor their coming-of-age. After that, the respective Marric is being guided around the castle, mounted on a steed. They finally end it at the weirwood forest nearby the keep, where the child is asking for the protection of the Old Gods at a secred shrine.

When a member of House Marric dies, they are cremated and interred into a mausoleum known as the Hall of Ancients. Their ashes are often accompanied by their most valued possession, such as a sword or an amulet.

Many in House Marric have upbringings in the Old Gods, marriages in the Faith of the Seven, and funerals in the way of the Lord of Light. This is due to the fact that House Maric openly permits their subjects to worship however they wish so long as bloodmagic and blood sacrifices are not involved, as well as the past marriages with southern houses that introduced the religions to them.

Members:

The Founder: Elrin the Whiteblade
Though he never was considered a noble or saw the rise of Frosthold keep, Elrin is regarded by his descendants as the original founder of their house. It is said that he was a skilled swordsman that never had lost a fight in his life.

Revered Ancestor: Dorick Marric, "Dorick the Red"
The leader when the Boltons made their move on House Marric and Frosthold. Known as a stoic and harsh leader, he gave it his all to prevent the Boltons from taking his ancestral home and was known for being a skilled strategist and tactician. He eventually died a warrior's death. Legend among the Marric has it that his sword broke after his death but not before around forty Boltons were slain by Dorick Marric. The hilt and what remains of the blade is enshrined in the Great Hall.

Past Leader: Elrin II Marric, "Elrin the Odd"
Named after the founder, the previous leader of House Marric was a clever man. Though he had his flaws, it was clear that his ambitions were set to make House Marric survive. That didn't mean that he had a strong influence on his bannermen or people as various questioned some of his methods. Such as claiming that the Hornwoods were out to steal valuable heirlooms of his House but not providing any proof.

Current leader: Anselm Marric, "Anselm the Wise"
The eldest of Elrin II's four children, Anselm received the best education possible although he kept in the ancestor's traditions as a talented swordsman and strategist. He has a fascination with ancient texts and magic, although it is unknown if he has any such talent himself. His ambitions currently lie in restoring House Marric's relationship with Hornwood after his father's more eccentric political policies.

Current successor: Alexander Marric

Madam Laina Faerson ( @Aliceee )

Holding:
The castle of the Marric House is named 'Frosthold'. It is a stone castle that is built on top of a hill. Though it is approachable from all sides, the main way to enter it is through the stone bridge and hallway. Rugged terrain makes it nearly impossible for siege engines, such as siege towers, or troop formations to mount an attack on the sturdy stone walls. The only other way to enter the castle is through the southern gate but it is small and both the terrain as the defence make it not the most plausible directions for an assault. While not much is remaining of the farmstead that Elrin I once found on the site, Frosthold is the administrative as political centre of House Marric. Offering room to its household members while various small villages and estates of their bannermen are close by. A saying goes as following about Frosthold and the Marrics as the flat land and sparse woodland makes it easy to spot impending dangers.

"Wherever you go in this area, the Frosthold sees it."

- Baylon was born on the 1st of May in the year 142, making him 53.

Length and body build:
He stands at 5'11 or 1.8m. His frame is adorned with broad shoulders and a muscular build across it.

Weight:
He weights roughly 190lbs.

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Religion: He chooses no gods

Appearance:

Loyalty:
- House Marric
Occupation:
- Master at Arms -

Ambition(s):
- Baylon harbors no political or financial ambitions, his only goal is to make sure house Marric endures. After having survived the grueling campaigns against the fellow Northmen he longs for nothing more than a good death in service to his Lord and to impart what knowledge he can before he dies. -

Personality:

In his youth it could be said that Baylon was a man of ill repute. To his allies he was a jovial man who always had the best stories to tell with the brightest eyes and smile you'd ever seen. To his enemies he was brutish creature that cared little for anything but the glory of combat. He was often spoken of by high lords and common folk alike as one of the most reckless warriors alive. However it is noted that shortly after the stalemate between the Starks and Boltons that he no longer cared much for war. The new man most saw was one of colder tone. It became rarer to see him smile and no stories flowed from his lips. The eyes that once held fire now held a removed sadness, one that plagued his heart but could not be allowed to plague his mind. Baylon now seemed to avoid conflict as best he could, though when drawn into the fray Baylon is fueled by the beast of his youth.

To those who have known Baylon for some time it is apparent that he had lost something in his past. As a result, his focus became the protection of those closest to him. A trait many could see when watching him interact with the Marric family, often taking pride in his position at their side. His voice is seldom heard until he is asked for an opinion or if he feels it prudent enough to speak. He knows his place in the world and so chooses to stay within it's boundaries as it provides him security. A certain pride can be heard in his voice when he speaks and it's tone carries with it the weight of his many years.

Baylon the Blasphemous has gained a second wind of infamy among the whisperers of Westeros for being a stoic. Shortly after the war he declared himself free of religious ties. He does not believe any gods, benign or malevolent, would create the beasts that come from war.

The History:

Baylon was born the son of a whore and criminal. His mother was only in her 15th year when she had him in one of the pleasure houses of White Harbor. She had spent a night with a man whom she didnt know and had been told the child would be the savior of men by this man. The man, Baylon's father, was a branded thief who'd been caught and imprisoned in the Wolf's Den prison. The mother had been told to be rid of the burden but she refused to let go of her child. She was turned away from the pleasure house and the boy was born into the streets. Miraculously the child and mother survived. They lived a number of years eating what they could and stealing what they needed on the streets of White Harbor. Throughout life Baylon's mother told him he was to be the savior of men. It wasnt until adolescence that Baylon ever questioned it. He had visited the Sept of The Snows alone to speak with the septon about his supposed duty to man. The septon shattered the illusion his mother had that he would one day be the savior of men. Telling him he was no more than a bastard of the streets with no divine right. He returned to his mother and denied to he'd even been to the sept, pushing the memory from his mind.

A year passed, his mother and he were in the fish markets of White Harbor finding what they could to eat. Baylon being the ambitious young man he was had been moving quickly through the market and his mother had been lost behind him. Upon realizing her absence he began to search the fish market, moving up and down the lines of stalls. He stayed until the market place had cleared to where only a few beggars and vagrants remained to pick the streets. He scanned the faces of those around him and did not find his mother.

He repeated this every day when the market opened until it closed for the next week. Eventually the realization had set in that his mother was gone. Baylon began his journey here at the age of 13. He made the decision to change his fate. Baylon had grown up hearing the stories coming off of ships about foreign lands and the wonders in them. The young man was in no greater place to make his choice. Through hard work he managed to secure himself a job on a merchant ship named the Sea Snake. After ensuring that he was fed and provided for he began to hone his body, intentionally taking on harder and harder tasks. With time the boy grew into a strapping young man. The street rat that had boarded the ship some five years before was no longer and before the captain stood the form of a warrior. The captain was a Bravoosi from the Secret City by the name of Morrel. He took a liking to the young man and allowed him to carry swords. With time and practice Baylon grew talented with the crude sailor's blade. At 20 Baylon decided he wanted to return to his homeland and search again for his mother.

The captain arranged his manifest in order to set port in White Harbor. Baylon departed and made his way in White Harbor for a time, attempting to find any sign of his mother. The young ambitious man did not stay long however. He was drawn into a company known as the White Blades and spent his youth earning a name for himself across the Northern lands. He became talented with more sophisticated combat while bastardizing the erratic style of the sea captain. It was one day when his company was set against a group of opposing mercenaries that he earned his name. He had pushed himself through the lines and slain a man by driving his sword up and through his gut. The man's entrains had slid down Baylon's blade coating him in red. At the end of the battle the man was hardly recognizable and thus earned his infamy as Baylon the Bloody. It was during this time that Baylon founded a small company of his own, the Bloodstained Bastards.

One day him and his odd dozen men happened upon a small farm. On this farm he found a hospitable family, one that at first he sought to take advantage of. However it's said he fell in love with one of the farmer's daughters. The farm was under protection of House Marric. When the wars between the Starks and Boltons sprang up Baylon found himself in service to the Marrics of Frosthold. His talents flourished in this time and he found himself fighting alongside the bannermen of house Marric. His own company dwindled in numbers until eventually dissolving entirely. Towards the end of the war Baylon underwent a drastic change, no longer a bloodthirsty warrior but a reserved and often quiet man. None know what it was that happened and it is likely that will not change. After the war he was called in service to House Marric and he agreed, happy for purpose yet again. He found himself proud to call the Marrics his lords. Having fought alongside the Marric boys he has a great respect for them.

Skills and various Traits:
He is a talented fighter due to his lack of particular style. He has studied the combat of knights and has since chosen to wield a bastard sword. Baylon adapted his original fighting style to incorporate what he liked from the Northerners hack and slash fighting style. He is proficient with his sword and daggers.

In his youth he was truly a specimen to behold so they say. A burly beast of a man with long locks and dangerous eyes. Nowadays he has slimmed down and come to more modest features. Though he is older his movement has suffered no loss in speed. He can fight hard as any young man for some periods of time but it is difficult for him to remain in the fray.

He does have a beautiful singing voice however it is has not been heard in many years. If one were to catch him walking alone at night or early morning they could hear him sing songs unknown to most.

Ayleen Gracewood

Personal Motto:
"No matter how cruel the odds are, a lady must fight."

[ Personal Information ]

[spoili]

Name:
Ayleen Gracewood
Aliases: None
Gender:Female
Age: 19, born in the middle of Spring, year 108 BC.

Length and body build:
5'4 or 165cm with a slim figure, with shy curves and small breast.
Weight:
48 kg or 105,8 pounds.

Sexuality:
Heterosexual
Religion:
Old Gods and the Faith of Seven

Parents :
Rickard Gracewood Deceased
Elyse Gracewood Deceased
Siblings:
Jonnard Gracewood Prisoner
Aryanne Gracewood Deceased
Jylean Gracewood Deceased

Appearance:
Although of northern origins, Ayleen displays typically southern traits, with golden hair kissed by the sun and warm sky blue eyes. While she's long been flowered, her body doesn't seem to show any particuarly accentuated curves, her breast, hips and waiste being small yet gracefully shaped. As it's expected from a Lady in waiting, Ayreen is usually seen taking much care of her looks. From her hair to her shoes, everything is carefully picked to always show herself at best.

Loyalty:
While not for choice, she's loyal to House Marric
Occupation:
Ayleen currently holds no occupation, beside that of a Lady.

Ambition(s):
Besides the gaining of her brother's long lost freedom, there's not much the girl wishes for, although that might well be subject of change.

Personality:
Being born in a very unstable family has certainly caused Ayleen to develop a sense of insecurity and a defensive behaviour that often shield her from having a normal social life. Enforced by the passive-aggressive nature of nobility, the girl has grown to watch herself from the people that she's being sorrounded with, with a slight tendence to paranoia and wariness.

Aside from that, Ayleen doesn't have a particularly kind heart: with time she's instead grown to be more and more indifferent towards the others, a behaviour that was probably caused by a deep egocentrism. In short, while she may very well hide it, she rarely cares about other people outside from her family and close friends.

The girl might look just like a pretty face, but in truth she was gifted with a sharp intelligence and a very good sense of reason. Ayleen has great potential to become a very clever lady, but she most certainly could use some experience. Besides that, Ayleen is also very polite and likes to spend time in the company of those who she likes.

[/spoili]

[ History ]
[spoili]
Ayleen was born to Rickard and Elyse Gracewood on a long night of spring; breastfed by a stranger and raised by a septa, few were the emotional bonds with her ever-absent parents, bonds that were intead aimed at her much older brother, Jonnard. Besides being unforgivably absent, his Lord and Lady Gracewood often fought, most of the times ending badly for her mother, who's face and body was constantly filled with bruises. At the time, her father use to gather Ayleen and Jonnard together in their chamber to share a few not-so-pleasant notions on her mother. While Rickard's words on their mother had no strong grip on her, Jonnard instead absorbed any kind of knowledge and belief spout by his father's mouth.

Aside from the unstable situation among her family, the girl received an excellent training in all lady-like arts and customs, such as sewing, etiquette, dancing and singing. At seven she was already well taught in literacy and poetry, as well as the art of complex hair braiding and of succesfully ride a horse. In short, with her beauty growing day by day, and her unborn talent in courtly skills, Ayleen was meant to become a lady to fight for, had the odds been kind to her, which they hadn't. At the age of seven, in an act of madness, her father killed his wife and his two, yet unborn daughters in their wedding bed. The man was charged of treason against his family and his people, treason that demanded a severe punishment: death.

With his adolescent son refusing to leave his father to that cruel destiny with tooth and nails, and a weeping Ayleen kept tight within the arms of her father, the situation had degenerated quite too far. At the age of twelve, Ayleen was left alone without her father, nor her brother at her side. Nowadays Ayleen, armed of her courtesy and her pretty face, marchs towards Frosthold to fight for her brother's freedom.[/spoili]

Skills and various Traits:
Ayleen was trained very well in the art of courtesy and broadly speaking, of all those things that concern a lady: she is able to sing, as well as dance and sew. Among these, another notable skill the girl has aquired with time is riding horses. While she's not quite experienced in the art of seduction, thanks to her looks, she might be able to charm someone in order to get what she wants.

List of armour or attire.

Ayleen has plenty of dresses to wear in every occasion. While they are studied to keep her body warm from the cold, they often resemble the elegant style of the southern lands, with warm and bright colors that remind of summer. The girl occasionally wears the altered colors of her house, more vidid rather than the otherwise gritty tints that her family once proudly displayed.

Personality:

For the most part, Owen is fun loving and kind spirited. He has a playful demeanour that his father has tried repeatedly to train out of him, with little success. Owen can be mischievous at times, but has learned to never go against his father's direct orders. This does not always extend to other figures of authority, however, Owen is smart enough to not disobey direct orders from superiors if he cannot get away with it.

He is naturally curious and enjoys learning, whether it is new combat techniques, strategies, or even just reading up on a new subject. As he's grown a little older, Owen has begun to focus his studies more, wanting to ensure he learns as much from his father as possible. When his father cannot train with him directly, Owen has taken to training with Jorvan in an effort to continue developing his skills. This training has allowed him to see that, sometimes, fighting honourably does not mean you have to fight with honour. At least not in the most traditional sense.

Despite his playful and sometimes mischievous nature, Owen is quite dutiful and extraordinarily loyal to his family. He will do anything to keep them safe and that desire motivates him to become a better soldier so that he can protect them like his father has. Owen is very friendly towards those that he knows well, and those that he trusts, but his attitude can shift slightly towards those he is unfamiliar with. While not cold towards them, he is much more reserved around people he does not know well. He has seen the dark side of people and does not trust others easily. Especially if it could impact his family.

[ History ]

[spoili]

The History:

Owen was born into a good home. He was the nephew of the leader of House Trevelyan and, as such, life was a little easier for him than others. Though House Trevelyan is not quite as large as some of the Great Houses, it afforded him a life of relative luxury. This unfortunately lead to the development of his rather playful side. Growing up as the younger cousin of Amber and Zahara, Owen tried to keep a good relationship with them both. Sometimes this involved him playing practical jokes on the two of them, and sometimes it involved him simply going to them for advice or for help with learning to read and write. Despite his own desire to grow up and focus solely on being a majestic knight like the ones from the tales, both of his parents stressed that it was important for him to be fully literate as well. As a result, most of his early years were split between academic tutors and combat lessons.

Owen's father would train him from time to time, but he mostly arranged to have one of the more experienced bannermen train the boy. Regardless of who he was learning from, Owen took his training very seriously and his skills developed quickly. It never quite seemed enough for his father, however, as the man would always demand more. Never one to get discouraged easily, Owen continued to prove himself; gaining confidence in his abilities and branching out, desiring to learn more forms of combat than simple swordsmanship. Eventually, when he was in his mid-teens, Owen's father begrudgingly agreed to take him on some of his trips away from the family lands. It allowed the boy the opportunity to see other fighting styles and to witness more cultures than he would see remaining cooped up in the family lands. While they did not venture out often, Owen relished every opportunity they had, trying to soak up as much knowledge as he could from everywhere they went. One such journey, however, taught him more than he'd wanted to know.

While traveling to one of the many cities within the realm, Owen's father left him at a small inn while he went to attend to some family business. As he sat, eating his lunch, he noticed one of the serving maids being harrassed by three men who appeared to be around the same age as himself. Remembering his father's words to not get involved in any trouble, Owen remained silent, though his anger began to grow. Finally, after one particularly salacious gesture by one of the men, Owen lost his temper. Standing to his feet, he shouted at the men, challenging the one who had made the obscene gesture to a fight of honour. After a moment's pause, the three men simply laughed, with one of them finally asking if he knew who they were. When it became clear that he did not know, nor care, they announced the man he'd challenged as Silas Bolton and told him they were bannermen of House Bolton themselves. Owen hesitated for a single moment, realizing that he was now out of line. Gritting his teeth, he restated his challenge, wanting to do what he believed was right. To his surprise, Silas agreed and the four of them went outside.

They gathered in an alleyway, out of view for the main streets. As Owen turned and took off his coat to prepare for the fight, he was ambushed by the two bannermen who each grabbed an arm while Silas approached him, grinning wickedly.Struggling against the two bannermen, Owen was at first very confused. This was supposed to have been a fight of honour, but instead they had used his trust to gain an advantage over him. Realizing the reality of his situation all too late, Owen began taking a vicious beating as Silas Bolton hit him again and again. The pain was worse than anything he'd felt before, but Owen's pride refused to allow him to cry out. After a short time, it became clear that Silas was frustrated. He had wanted some form of reaction from his victim, something to show that he was beaten. Owen's refusal to give it to him only caused the Bolton boy to grow more angry. Pulling out a small dagger, Silas grinned wickedly at the flash of fear he caught in Owen's eyes. Slashing him twice in the chest, Owen's resolve faltered and he finally cried out in pain. The cries drew the attention of the innkeeper, who entered the alley to see what was going on. Upon seeing the man, the two bannermen let Owen go and fled along with Silas. The innkeeper helped Owen to his feet and brought him inside so the boy could be patched up. By the time his father arrived back at the inn, Owen had covered the wounds on his chest and wiped away most of the blood from his face. His father questioned him, but Owen remained silent, refusing to tell him what happened.

When they returned to Tornburg, Owen had to rest for quite some time, waiting for his wounds to heal. It was during this time of reflection, that he realized he would need to learn to fight with more than just honour in order to stop people like Silas Bolton. His experience in that alley had changed him. No longer would he simply trust blindly. People had dark sides to them and Owen did not intend to get caught by susprise ever again.

For the next few years, Owen's father sent him to learn under Jorvan, one of the head trainers. Under Jorvan's tutelage, Owen trained harder than he ever had before.

He would be ready next time...

[ Skills and Gear]

Skills and various Traits:

Owen is highly skilled in the martial arts. He has learned how to use several different weapons with great skill, the three most familiar to him being the sword, the spear and the axe. He can fight with or without a shield and is in the process of learning how to fight with two weapons at once. Owen is also skilled at horseriding and is decent at mounted combat. He prefers fighting on the ground, however, as he feels he has more control over the fight. He has also not been trained extensively in ranged combat, in part due to his early beliefs that close combat was more honourable. Now that his views on honourable combat have changed slightly, he has shown more of an interest in ranged combat, but is still not skilled with any form of archery.

Owen is quite literate, being able to read and write with ease. He has knowledge of advanced tactics and is actively trying to learn more about different strategies. While he can be incredibly patient, Owen's temper may flare up if he sees something he views as morally wrong. He has a a strong willpower that shows itself in his determination to beat the odds, however daunting they might be.
