In an attempt to return to full swing on this website, I decided to start this roleplay and gague a bit of interest.

The premise is that this is a world of heroes. The Legion of Protectors, the most prominent superhero team in this world, decided to open a new program for younger superheroes that they have decided to tentatively call their 'Junior Division'.

The ones that qualify include:
1. Anyone under 18 who somehow got into the main Legion group (they're getting booted down to Jr Division. This is a rarity unless you're a child prodigy in terms of your brains, you've been de-aged by bullshit shenanigans, or you're almost 18)
2. Sidekicks of established Legion heroes (the main reason for this program)
3. Teenaged vigilantes that have been reccommended by Legion heroes

This is exactly what you think it is. Unlike the next guy, I'm not making yet another Teen Titans roleplay because I would probably call dibs on Static or Beetle or some shit. And I don't feel like doing a roleplay with Static or Beetle in them right now.

Well, ladies and gents?

What will you accept as powers?

What will you accept as powers?

There are lots of powers in the realm of fiction, so that's a wide blanket to mention. It'd be easier to mention some powers I'd avoid or at least keep limited, like the obvious time manipulation (we ain't ready for the timey wimeys!) and to some extent portal creation and teleportation (solves split-up stories too easily unless there's some limitation)

What kinds of powers do you have in mind for your potential character?

None. At least not in the traditional sense. Since we're going about teens to young adults. I want a combination of aspects from Robin and John Constantine. The character in question being knowledgeable about magic arts but also can't perform them well. Opting out to brew potions and use them as grenades with varying effects along with a staff which can be used as a melee weapon. Throw it in a bag that can hold an infinite space within it and that's pretty much it. We could use the character's "studious" talents as a plot device. Feign she's more powerful than she seems for if the character's developed further into adult hood.

I'd say go for it.

Meanwhile the character I'm going for has some Klarion basis, so this might be interesting.

Can't say for sure if I'd be able to join, but superhero shenanigans always tends to land well round here so you should absolutely go for it.

Trixie.jpg

Name: Trixie Hwa Lyung
Hero Alias: Yeou
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Brown
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 140 lbs
Build: Athletic
Nationality: South Korean, Seoul

Appearance:

Trixie usually wears a pair of headphones with fox like ears at the top. Fun Fact the name "Yeou" is the Korean word for Fox, Her hair is mid length, Her choice of clothes usually involves a t-shirt and sweatpants when at home. However when out on missions she wears a black suede jacket with a feux-fur lined collar, a pair of jeans with knee pads and steel toed boots. Her clothes have a warding potion that they were soaked in to prevent tearing and reduce impact. They have similar properties to kevlar and similar materials to act as armor.

Abilities:

High level intellect: Is incredibly smart for her age. Knowledgeable in many aspects of life from magical texts to computers. Ironically, she is admittedly bad at math. She knows many languages native Korean, English, Italian, and Ancient Sumarian, just to name a few. Often seen reading to understand things better.

Potions/Magical Item Expertise: She will put mixtures of her own making into slow cookers. Additionally she understands old magics recorded from tomes she has read and the dangers that old world artifacts may have. Witchcraft is her primary forte. She often calls herself a neo-wiccan because of her practices.

Her potions can have the following effects.

Explosive: Acts like a small hand grenade.

Incindiary: Create flames to burn away problems.

Cryo: Flash Freeze the area

Flash: Disorient enemies with a bright light.

Healing: Tastes like cough syrup. Works with the bodies own energy to repair flesh wounds and cure sicknesses when consumed,

Fortification: Can strengthen what ever the liquid touches. It becomes harder to break, tear, etc. It is not invincible but it is certainly more durable for greater lengths of time. This includes human skin and bones.

Jahng Bong and Taekwondo Master: A black belt in martial arts. Expertise with Bo-Staff (The Jahng Bong) combat as well.

Inventory: A seemingly normal looking satchel bag. However, it retains a near infinite space for an inventory of her own potions and other items. A magical staff to be used as a melee weapon. As well as a broom she can use to travel by flight.

@owlishnerd

Sorry to say, but we're still in the Interest Check phase of things.

That being said, I will look through your existing application and comment on it when I have the time so that you can transfer the information to the final application when the time comes.

@Crow

I'm interested. And that profile pic is just art in its purest form.

thanks i forgot to remove it after the 'adopt a frog avatar if you got the riddle wrong' week (i got it right i just felt like wearing it)

@owlishnerd

The application skeleton when the signups pop up will have sections your existing app doesn't have and lack some of the sections it does. These include but are not limited to history, personality and hero & civilian attire sections.

Anyways, let's analyze it.

Nothing wrong with the ol utility belt... err... bag. I think what you're doing is a unique twist to the idea, no need to change the powerset.

The only thing I can mention regarding stuff to change based on what I see here is moving specialized clothing to an Equipment section or hero costume section.

Side adventure where the gang gets lost in the bag eventually...

Inter pocket dimensional travel is a go. Are you making a separate discord out of curiosity.

No plans to make a Discord server currently. The planned group size ain't too big after all.

But if everyone desires one or it's more effective, I'll go for it.

I am very interested in this. It seems like it would be great fun to have.

Glad to hear your interest!

I think I'll set the OoC & Signups threads soon enough. Not today or tomorrow though.

... maybe tomorrow, really late if so.

I'm interested! It sounds like fun.

IT'S HERE.

Due to our numbers, for now, I think it'll be one player character per person. I'll consider allowing additional characters later.
