After 9/11, the CIA and NSA are forced to play nice and share their intelligence to make it easier to track and identify threats to national security. How do they do this? A project/drive called "The Intersect". The Intersect is a government created database of encoded information (VIA images) that holds many of the worlds' most important secrets that could be devastating if found in the wrong hands. The Intersect can be stored in a compatible person's subconscious because it is based on artificial neural networks, which are commonly used for pattern recognition. An agent learns that The Intersect is going to be taken by agents who have turned their backs on the world. To prevent it from getting in the wrong hands, he sends an email containing the Intersect to Chuck. Not knowing what it is, Chuck opens the email and unknowingly uploads it to his brain (seen in the gifs above where he is starring at a computer screen). Which itself is miraculous because a lot of agents who have offered themselves to upload the Intersects have died due to how difficult and rare it is to find someone who is a good suit to carry the burden. The Intersect can cause intense stress on the user's brain, which can lead to serious mental deterioration (dementia, insanity, etc). It's also important to note that the Intersect basically self destructs after its contents are opened, which is why Chuck is so important.
Ever since Sarah and John discover that Chuck now contains the knowledge of everything that was on the Intersect, they are given the mission of guarding Chuck from anyone who may know he is the Intersect and work alongside him on their other missions while they wait to figure out what to do about his situation. Chuck's knowledge from the Intersect causes him to "flash" at random when the Intersect decides to give him information (as seen in the Gif that shows him learning fighting moves), and therefore he is resourceful when given the opportunity to join along on missions. A lot of the times government agencies will only have one part of a story, whereas The Intersect (for a long time Chuck is the only Intersect, and Sarah and John's 'asset') has all the relevant information. Which is why it is so sought after. For example, maybe the NSA only have the blueprints of a building and the CIA only have the identity of someone, whereas the Intersect knows that that someone plans on blowing up the building because of something in that person's file. That's a very vague example but if you need more specific ones I can message you about it.
The whole premise of the show is that the three of them go on all of these crazy missions, with Chuck being goofy and dorky and terrified of everything, Sarah going from cold hearted to soft and warm due to slowly falling in love with Chuck (who is very obviously and hopelessly in love with her too from the minute they meet), with John serving as someone who remains tough throughout the entire show but proves to care deeply for his friends Sarah and Chuck. Of course there are other elements and important characters but those are the three I wanted to focus on.
So what are my ideas? Honestly, anything is possible. I definitely want the romance and action aspect of things, but as for the exact pairings I don't really care. We don't have to follow cannon and we can certainly switch things up for the sake of making it all fun for everyone. I think a romance between the two spies or between the spy and the asset could be interesting. I don't have a preference for what role or gender I play nor do I for whoever takes a liking to this idea. I'm also down to do some sort of enemy thing, where maybe a secret enemy spy is sent to work alongside the group and they fall in love with a good spy or the asset or something? Anyways, if any of you read this far and are interested, shoot me a PM! Let me know if you have any triggers, your preferences for the roleplay, and any questions or ideas you have. I personally tend to write a lot when I'm inspired (talking upwards of 12+ paragraphs), but I average about 7 even with low muse. But honestly? Give me three meaty paragraphs and that's good enough for me. I'm not very picky. I just can't do one liners. I'd prefer if my partners were 18+ since I'm in my mid 20s. Thanks for reading this!
