Genres
I'm open to a wide range of genres. Obscenely wide. It's harder for me to list all I do like than all I don't like.

My favorite settings are fantasy combined with something else, multiverse, post-apoc, historical (mixed with something else), and futuristic. I'm not limited to those, but it's a good start.

My favorite genres include mystery, adventure, action, drama, tragedy (must be mixed with something else and kept balanced), romance (again must be mixed, and more.

I'm happy to include elements of slice-of-life and romance, but doing them on their own doesn't hold my interest indefinitely.
Everyone loves plotting! Plotting is a fabulous way to find new ideas, breathe new life into old ones, and otherwise just have a really good time.

I'm going to throw three basic plots (in various formats) a week, and users are welcome to post their takes and what they'd do with any given plot. Participants can use the inspiration and prompts however they wish!

This is primarily an exercise in how to make use of inspiration even when you maybe aren't 'feeling it'.

  1. First Place Winner x Second Place Winner
  2. Bring My Red Jacket
  3. A high fantasy where a red badge is used to denote something that inspires either love or hatred.

"I think this is considered as a textbook ransom exchange..."

"Do you really think so?"

The pair of anxious bodyguards spoke to each other, as they carried 4 bags filled with money, one in each of their hands. A total of 2 million dollars. Their eyes were greeted by the blinding light from the numerous spotlights that illuminated the football field. Several shady looking men with masks, presumably the gang members who kidnapped the politician they were supposed to protect, were waiting for their arrival. They were also armed as well. The taciturn looking Caucasian woman with a neck-length hair remarked at the situation once more.

"We shouldn't have agreed to this."

"It'll be fine..." Her male Brazilian partner reassured her.

Then the gang members began to move towards them as well. Both sides eventually stopped when they reached a distance capable of communicate with each other. One of the gang members began to speak in Portuguese to the bodyguards.

"Alright, give them the money."

The male bodyguard translated, before throwing the bags of money to them. The woman soon followed suit as well. Everything seemed to be going well. Before they could leave, a loud gunshot echoed in the football stadium. A shot that instantly struck one of the gang members that just grabbed one of the bags of money.

"Sniper!" The woman shouted.

The gang members began scampering, while trying to escape with the ransom money. The gunshots continued on, as if someone was trying to prevent the money from being taken away. In the midst of chaos, the bodyguards attempted to escape. Before they could get inside the stadium however, a shot struck the Brazilian's left arm, causing him to grunt in pain heavily and collapsed to the ground.

"Damn it! I told you that wearing red was a mistake!"

His partner commented, while assisting him getting into the stadium. He grunted a bit, before managed to give a reply.

"...Today's horoscope said that red is my lucky color."

A chuckle can heard from the woman, before criticizing him.

"Horoscope? You got to be kidding me."

Once they got inside of the stadium...
