ZOMBIES EVERYWHERE!!

Noticing how she looked at me he shook his head looking at Ana then back at her, his mind thinking of what he could do. Either leave her unprotected and hopefully clear a path for her....or just leave and hope to make it on his own with her for another long time. He stood up holding her in his arms, walking towards the awkward shelter " Who will watch my child? and make sure nothing happens to her "
 
Kylen's hand shot in the air. "I will." he said.

Jae nodded. "We'll guard the kids." she added, but she didn't really want to, she knew it was the right thing to do. "See if you can get up top and make sure everyone above is okay." she said, looking at Dakarai.

Kylen gave Ana a soft look. "It'll be okay." he said gently.
 
Don't leave me. Don't leave me. Don't leave me. Her mind raced rapidly at the haunting thought of her father debating to set her free all by herself. She knew the moment he held her in his arms after the unexpected explosion, seeing the horrified and panicked looked on his face, it was clear he had second thoughts. At that very moment, Anastasia realized she was very, very scared. She didn't want to leave his side, much less see him walk away to help someone else, but after glancing around her surroundings and seeing the desperate looks on everyone else's face, she knew she couldn't keep him to herself forever. Which was why she mustered the courage to push his chest away and wiggled off from his hold and looked him straight in the eye. "It'll be okay," she whispered, repeating Kylen's words. "I won't die if you promise not to either," she stated cleverly, bringing up a small pinky to his face. "You have to promise, Daddy." It was quite a childish demand, but she needed his word to calm the rapid beating of her fragile heart.
 
He nodded going to her height as she was on the ground, holding his pinky up locking his with hers " Daddy promises he will be back " he stared her in the eyes and then brought a hand to her cheek, kissing her on the forehead like a normal father would. and stood up looking at everyone else " Keep her safe....this is my life....you lose her you lose your's " He said before turning around rushing up the steps towards the roof to check if everyone up on the roof was okay.
 
As the yade began to invade the building, Koda and Keinin knew that they had to come up with some sort of plan. "Barricade the door shut; I'll try to find a way down," Keinin ordered Koda. Koda nodded and ran for the door, slamming it shut. He pulled some debris in front of the door, but that would not hold them for long. He suddenly got a wonderful idea; gasoline. Running over and grabbing the makeshift flamethrower, he pulled the nozzle on the gas release and sprayed the debris; when the yade came, he would ignite it by torching it. Meanwhile, Keinin wasn't having the best of luck figuring out a way down. The other building was way too far to jump; they may just have to fight the yade off up here, but their chances of survival were incredibly slim. suddenly Keinin spotted a possible way don; some bricks in this old building were coming loose. They would have to be careful not to lose their footing. "Koda, gather your shit and get over here!" Keinin yelled.
 
Juno descended to the store to make sure everyone was alright. "We've got zeds, yades, and whatever else is crawling out of Hell just to say "Hi" to us out there. Jae's right, guns will probably help, 'specially since now we've got nothing to lose. Still, if you guys are alright with your fists or a blade, I encourage you to defend yourself. Don't be stupid about it, but you might not have a choice soon, so loosen up, it's about to get real."

Juno looked around the store for something flammable. "We got a propane tank? A fire extinguisher? Something that can blow up? A bunch of aerosol cans would do, I can make an IED out of them. I can plant a mine out front and shoot an incendiary arrow when either a yade or a zed horde gets too close."
 
Jacob watched Kona shoot the transformer. Something he wasn't planning, and kinda upset him, but he didn't show it. He picked up his rifle and bow and climbed down the ladder. Jacob stepped by his gear behind the counter, and carefully watched everyone. He had no idea who the were, and only met them a little while ago, but seeing that they were survivors, and the first ones he's ran into, he felt that he should try and protect them. Jacob strapped his Remington on the side of his bag, and picked his HK G36K assualt rifle back up, and made sure he had several magazines full. It wasn't going to be an easy fight, but they had to do it. Jacob slowly climbed back up the ladder, seeing that he was probably better off up there then in a room. Jacob slowly walked the edge of the roof, seeing what they had to fight, and what could be ignored.
 
Jae nodded in understanding. "Understood, Dakarai." she said quietly. She did understand..she knew how he felt too. She shook the thought from her head as she turned to face the door. "Everyone ready?"

Kylen looked around the walls. He put the pistol down and picked up an M16 automatic rifle. It had a full cartridge. He put a few rounds in his pockets, nodding in answer to Juno and Jae. He glanced around, then pulled a fire extinguisher off the wall. "Aye, Juno. Here." he held it out to her.

Mira and Angel looked at Ana. Mira spoke: "Ana..come on..." she said quietly, shaking a little. "We need to stay here."
 
When the bucket hit the ground three heads turned as it got the attention of the yades. Another scream goes off from the female yade as she charges after the sorce of the sound. They could smell fear soaking the air and it was only confirmed by the sounds they hear. As it approaches keinin it jumps between the walls from one wall to the next to catch him while he's climbing down. It hits him with it's shoulder to throw him back onto the roof where it jumps on him bringing her pale face nose to nose with his and let's out a hiss that smells like rotting meat. It would revel in his fear and despair, it wasn't going to kill him right away, it wanted to toy with him first.

The iron bar thrown trough the wall slowly begins to be pulled out and is replaced by a red eye as a yade looks in and gives a snarl.

Kona wasn't exactly acting very professional when the scream was heard. She covered her ears with a groan as it gave her a migraine and made her body shake. Perilized for a moment before catching her breath and began to take shaky steps for the ladder. She was trained to to experience fear in the event someone intends to interrogate her but something was pulling wires in her brain and it made her start to giggle. At first she might seem like she's going mad right there infront of Jacob but shakes her head to snap out of it. "Am fine...am fine." Intending to follow Jacob down the laser she hears something hit the wall below and peeks over the edge seeing a Yade pulling an iron bar from the wall. Quickly lifting her weapon she takes two shots, the first one goes through it's shoulder and the seccond through the eye and puts it on the ground. "got ya, you bastard....oh boogers"

The yade begins to get up, it was missing an eye now but it was up and pissed. Kona had time to take only two more shots, the first one missed and the seccond one hits its arm but by then it crawled it's way onto the roof and back fisted her riffle from her hands. It took a swing at her with the construction bar but Kona ducked under it then made a bold attempt to grab onto it. It hosed in her face getting slobber on her. "ew! No! Floss next time!"

Her fist slams down on it's wrists hitting some pressure points and making it drop the bar then back fists it in the face to stun it and then lifts her leg to side kick it in the abdomin. It stumbles backward and falls off the roof. But when Kona peers over the edge again it's hanging onto the wall and looks at her with a smirk and a hiss before it hits her in a heartbeat and knocks her off her feet to land on the other side of the building. Her head swam and everything around her spun as some blood ran down from the top of her head and could only watch in a daze as it went after Jacob next as he was coming up the ladder.

The third yade, and leader of their little pack had noticed Koda doing something and it's gut feelings didn't like it one bit. It ran towards him and jumped in the air making a short scream as it threw it's bar at the flame thrower like a spear and it whistled through the air.
 
As Keinin was thrown away from the side of the wall where he was trying to get Koda to climb down first, Koda grabbed the flamethrower only to be stopped by a yade. He pulled out his handgun from it's holster and shot four rounds into the yade. "Koda!" Keinin got to his feet, grabbing one of the iron bars he slammed it into a yade's chest. If there was anything he wouldn't stand for it was anyone or anything having any plans of hurting Koda. Jumping between Koda and the yade, Keinin grabbed his rifle and began to shoot at the yade, but realized that there were so many of them; he had to get the flamethrower working. "Koda, get the flamethrower working while I hold them off!" Keinin shouted. Koda nodded and started to pry the bar out of it while Keinin battled the yade.
 
The four rounds are shot into the yade pack leader but it only seems to sting it. Extending it's arm out with a growl it knocks the gun away. It was pack leader for a reason, it was bigger, tougher, and smarter than the others.

The female Yade is caught off guard by Keinin when he hits it with an iron bar and quickly retreats hoping to return when it has the element of surprise again. It scampers off with a shriek towards the other building where the other survivors are.

When Keinin jumps between his brother and the other yade it sees the riffle and instantly reacts with the knowledge it could be seriously hurt or killed by a higher powered weapon. But it doesn't run away, instead it grabs the muzzle of the barel and pushes it away just as he shoots. It's leg kicks his feet out from under him as it wrenches the gun from his grip.

Having a human weapon now the beast like undead examines the weapon in a bit of triumph. Sniffing it, and feeling it's construction while putting a finger on the trigger. It knew from it's primitive knowledge that this devise caused extreme pain or possibly death just by pointing it at someone and doing something with this tiny lever underneath it. As a yade most of it's memory and human intelligence was lost making it more like an animal but it was still capable of learning and growing to one day match human intelligence.

A grin crosses it's face as it realizes what sort of new power it had acquired. It could cause pain or death to anyone just by pointing this at them. It now pointed it at Keinin, not holding it correctly, but it was pointed at him. The yade had completely forgotten about Koda who would have that flame thrower working agin very soon if he was left alone.
 
Jacob just got back onto the roof, to see a yade coming at him. He quickly pulled his rifle up and began to fire into it. Jacob was surprised to see that several of the rounds that hit the yade didn't kill it. He did the only thing he could think of, continue firing while backing up. The yade lunged at him, causing him to trip and fall backwards, with the yade on top of him. Jacob struggled to keep the yade off of him, but he couldn't do much. He decided to fight for survival now, and kneed the yade in the gut twice, before it got up. Jacob slowly stood up, just to be pushed into the little lip that could be used as a railing system around the edge. When Jacob fell into the wall/rail part, a bolt sticking out of the wall, went right into his right shoulder, causing him to let out a painful groan.

He allowed the yade to get closer, before he tripped it, then stood up. Jacob grabbed it's leg and threw it over the edge, watching it fall to the ground. Jacob turned his attention to the other yade fighting Koda and Kienin, not knowing the yade he threw over the edge slowly got back up. Jacob was only trying to give Kienin a chance to fight. With blood running down his back and arm, Jacob forced himself to lift his rifle up. Once he got a clean shot, he let three rounds go into the back of the yade. After seeing the Yade get distracted by the three rounds, Jacob rushed over to Kona. "Lay still, you'll be alright." Jacob said, while looking for any major injuries. Jacob's aunt was a doctor and she forced them to learn some medical skills during his younger years. Things he learned was stitching and cleaning wounds, dealing with concussions, just the basic survival skills. "Hey can you tell me what year it is?" Jacob asked, just trying to make sure it wasn't serious.
 
Jae tensed up at the sounds of guns above. She turned towards the door and stepped through it, backing up a few paces so she could see those near the edge of the roof. Taking aim with her rifle, she fired a few times at the head of a visible Yade, the one Jacob had just thrown down. Something grabbed her shoulder and she flipped around, knocking and infected to the ground and stomping its face in. She returned inside and slammed the door angrily. "Yades above, infected outside." she growled. "I'm going to the roof."

"Wait!" Kylen said quickly. "You're going to leave the kids to me?"

"Duh, idiot. Think straight and you'll be fine." Jae snapped, going to the ladder. She watched above as she climbed, waiting until only her eyes could see. She glanced around and raised her rifle, shooting at the yades on their roof.

Kylen stood in front of the makeshift shelter, guarding the children, his hand shaky, yet gripped tightly on the rifle. He would not lose the kids, not today.
 
On the roof he scanned what chaos had become in mere seconds, he looked to the roofs parallel to him and noticed the people up and about which must mean they are okay. But then he noticed what was going on, creatures left and right, Pulling his pistol from his hip which he rarely used. He fired off at an infected walking slowly towards the building, And the yades that seemed to flow onto it. " Fucking bullshit " he shook his head as he thought of the fact that maybe he should of just ran while he could...but then he would the saftey in numbers factor.
 
As the rifle was yanked from him, Keinin knew that the yade had not noticed Koda repairing the flamethrower. But how long would it be until they became aware of what Koda was doing? 'I've got to distract them just a bit longer,' he thought. He got up, as he did, he grabbed a bar and swung it hard against the yade's temple. It wouldn't kill him but it would have surely ached horribly. Meanwhile, as Keinin fought the yade, Koda had managed to pull the bar out of the nozzle. 'Damn it it's damaged...but I've got a splendid idea...,' Koda thought. Looking up, he knew that this was a do or die situation. Working on it as fast as he could, he rigged it so when he pulled the gas trigger down, it would ignite the entire thrower. This unit not only had gas and the necessities to create a fire, but in situations like this, it held a noxious gas. Which, if exposed to flame, would create an explosion. Rigging it, he tied a rubber band onto the both triggers, switching a trigger on the side to on, Koda ran. It looked like it was doing anything at first, but when fire met the gas, the yade around it were caught on fire. Grabbing his rifle, Koda shot the yade going after Keinin in the back and grabbed his brother's hands. "Koda where are we going?" he asked as he was forced to run. "Off the roof!" he shouted. But it wasn't just an address to Keinin, but the people on the other rooftop. "Get off the roof!" both Keinin and Koda disappeared through the door, knowing that they'd have to fight off walkers, anything was better than being burned alive.
 
"Everyone, scatter!" Rang out as Juno threw the fire extinguisher at the biggest yade she saw, aiming for the head to knock it out. She promptly nocked a pipe bomb arrow and drew it back, ready to puncture the pressurized canister as an improvised fragmentation explosive. She waited a second for people to notice before loosing the arrow, realizing that if people hadn't run by now, they could get seriously injured. It was on her head, but if no friendlies died, they'd thank her for it later.
 
"1999... Why Richard are you in a hurry? Hey..hey cmon, I made that special carrot bread you like." Kona was defiantly delusional as she had the year wrong and was calling him Richard. Her eyes looked a little dazed too but was ironically smiling. Her hand reached up and caressed Jacobs face like he was this Richard guy she was talking about. He was dead now like most of the population but he was another homeland security like herself and was once dating him. "Let's go to a movie today Hun, I hear that new horror movie is out, you know, the one about the zombies." eyes shut and decides to just take a little nap right there. She'd be ok but she was defiantly KO for now.

On the other roof top the Yade pack leader took shots in it's back from Jacob and screeched while stumbling foward then bashed in the head by Keinin only to be lit on fire by Koda who it forgot about. (total beatdown ownage +100 points) it jumps off the roof and lands awkwardly while scrambling away as a fireball to die a few meters down the street. At the sounds of it's dying screams many of the yade retreat and scatter but some remain.

As Jae poked her head up and began to fire a yade jumps over her and lands behind her. It scoops her up in it's arm and flings her into another one of the survivors(Akuma) and inside the store an arm bursts through the window grabbing Mira by her shirt and pulling her to the window. A set of jaws clamp onto her shoulder biting into her flesh and making a large laceration. The explosion made by Juno wards it off before it can do more to her.

The yade fighting Juno had caught the fire extinguisher in it's hand when she threw it. It looked at her with a smirk and began to come towards her prepared to swing it like a mace but then the arrow hits it and sends the yade smashing into a wall and blowing off it's hand.

The yades were coming back and now in more number despite the death of some including their leader. Perhaps they were going to avenge him? Or they had a new leader? They were starting to flood the roof when they look up at the sound of a helichopter to see a black hawk coming towards them. The military had finally come through and was coming to the rescue, or at least it seemed that way until something went wrong(of corse ;p)

The tail rotor suddenly explodes and a trail of smoke leads to it from a building a few blocks down. It was hit by either an RPG or possibly a short range missile of some sort. It spun out of control heading right for the store only to miraculously land on the street before smashing into it and everyone inside. The top rotors rip up some of the roof and almost hit Jacob and Kona. The commotion had scared the Yades off, and the horde of walkers were mostly dead or had been chased off by the yades. After the crash everything was silent, no walkers or yades. No one in the helichopter had survived either but the radio was still going just barely. A mans voice could be heard on the other side.

"super...come in...super six come in....flight control to super six do you copy?...unknown intelligence in that area....SAM(surface to air missile)sites and possibly....be advised do you copy?...super six...copy?"

The radio went dead and then everything finally did go quiet. Strangely too quiet. (helichopter crash just a hint towards the sequel but the story isn't quite there yet.)
 
Jacob looked in Kona's eyes to see if there was a concussion. When he heard all the commotion about getting off of the roof, and then the helicopter, Jacob knew he wasn't going to be able to move Kona just yet. He used his body to cover Kona's so that she didn't get hurt even more. He got worried as the helicopter got closer, but he didn't move. After the helicopter stopped moving, He slowly got up and looked. He was shocked to see how close it came, only a few feet from them. Jacob slowly walked over to see if there were any survivors, and see if the had any medical equipment on board. He was lucky enough to find a first aid kit, your normal EMT kit, as well as a back board. He dropped everything when he heard the radio. Because everything was a jumbled mess, he coudln't reach it in time.
 
It was to late for Akuma to move from the explosion and the helicopter...and jae who was thrown right into his body. He caught her but fell back onto the roof flooring and spun her around protecting her from the debree in which was taking place everywhere, He could feel heat and then heard the sound of crashing banging exploding. Pieces of metal flying past him, one of the smaller pieces embedding itself not to deep in his left arm. Causing him to grunt in pain, But as the yades and creatures scurried off he made his way off of jae and slowly began to stand up wobbling. " Why me? " he said shaking his head and reaching to his left arm grabbing onto the piece of shrapnel in it. He pulled it out swiftly and grunted again, before taking his neck tie and putting it around his arm tying it not to tight. He spat on the ground before shouting aloud " EVERYONE ALIVE? "
 
Jae winced at being thrown, but she stayed limp. It was better than straining herself. After being uncovered, she sat up, shaking her head before jumping to her feet. Her rifle sat a little away. She took two steps and slid next to it, stationed on one knee, scoping around. She nodded at the man who asked if everyone was okay.

Kylen heard the explosion and glanced at the three kids, Ana, Mira, and Angel. He dived over the entrance of the shelter. A few of the crates shifted as the windows shattered and a few shrapnel pieces flew down the stairwell. He stayed there, waiting for an all clear.

Mira pulled Angel and Ana into her arms when she heard the explosion. She held them close, hovering over them.

Angel grabbed Ana, whimpering, staying close.
