With both chaperones shouting the same order Aaron's body began to follow it, grabbing those students who were too shell shocked to move and pushing them towards the open window. The sight of the shadow beast tearing apart the bus with its hands was absolutely terrifying yet his hands had ceased their shaking. His mind was retreating behind its cracking wall, and he barely recognised Vivienne looking dizzy and clutching her belongings as he moved up beside her. He held his hand out towards out, "Let's get out of here!". If she took it he would help her get out.

Whether she let him help her or not Aaron would be one of the last people on the bus, and finally took his turn to escape through the window. His gaze passed over Damian without registering a single thing on the way out, easily avoiding looking at the revealed eye. And then he was climbing out the window without another glance back. As he dropped to the ground outside he felt a small pain in his side but brushed it off. After all he'd just been thrown across a bus, his body was bound to be sore. Hearing Sam call out for everyone to move to him Aaron followed the instructions, joining the other survivors around the chaperone.

He could see the Chaperone that often spoke to Sam wielding a harpoon behind the rhino, and then there was a ring of them surrounding the students. He watched the battle come to its close with a blank expression on his face, his memory recording the events analytically. With his conscious mind hiding he was truly running on autopilot, shock had taken over. Blood burst from the rhino as it was knocked back and hit the ground before lying still. Yet the danger hadn't passed as he saw the smaller shadows crawling around, outside the circle of weapons.

Defend yourself his mind said, drawing his eyes to the harpoons. They weren't swords, but they were better than fists. He reached out and closed his grip around one, only to immediately release it as sudden pain enveloped his hand. From a detached perspective he examined the unharmed skin, wondering why touching the metal had felt like a shark suddenly clamped its mouth over his fingers. Confused, he he left the weapons alone and stepped back to join the others. He had to hope the chaperones had a plan to deal with this, they did seem to be winning so far.

Hidden from his mind by the adrenaline in his system, the wound on his side began to bleed freely. Though the shrapnel had missed anything vital, it was deep, and would soon begin sapping his strength. Unless someone else noticed it.

Spirits quickly fell as the group listened to the cries over the television. There were numerous amounts of videos observing the same scenario, each replayed over and over. Each had different cries of hysteria, children crying in one, adults swearing as they try to capture the whole thing that has happened at the Haneda airport. As evening fell, the guest's children were growing weary. No one wanted to go back into their rooms, sense of dignity and humanism washed over them. This tragedy was happening just thirty minutes away, the fear rose. The doubting older residents of the inn were muttering obnoxiously loud about conspiracies. Religious folks stayed by the door, wanting to leave the inn and head off to the shrine next door.

No one spoke, the room was filled with people huddled around the TV. The ladies of the inn collected together in one corner of the room, "Get blankets for the guest, you guys provide entertainment. This news broadcast has gone long enough." Hotaru divided the girls into groups and sent them off to go do separate things. Five girls scurried off to the laundry room to get blankets. A few more went off to the kitchen to bring materials to the room. There was a soft murmur going around the guests who watched the ladies run around.

After the dust of waiting settled, the guests turned away from the TV to watch the girls preform a tea ceremony. It was too late in the day to try this stunt, but it kept them occupied for a while. Hotaru carefully made her way to the TV while supervising the girls as they prepared tea. The young woman turned the TV towards her, a younger Miko handed her a phone. The Miko scattered off and Hotaru was left to observe the situation alone.

Hotaru quickly turned the phone on and pulled up a browser to search the internet. One sole channel on the television won't tell her the things she wanted to know. She searched up for any recent posts about Haneda airport. While it was loading up, she switched the channels around. The reporters were far from the incident, they were too afraid to close up on the smoke and fire. She glanced down at the handheld device for more confrontations. She was about to ban the usage of her phone for being absolutely useless until she saw a thumbnail of a video not relating to the incident, but it was close. Hotaru didn't click on the video, the winged figure was enough for her to realize it was something that happened to involve her.

There was a slight tap on Hotaru's left side, she immediately fell for the gesture and turned her head. Nothing was to be seen, when she turned her head back to the center, her peripheral vision caught sight of a bright entity. Her Zodiac seemed to have the intentions of scaring her, to amuse her Hotaru pretended to be startled with a soft fake gasp. Marabel's high spirit turned curious as she glanced about at the guests, Hotaru answered quickly, "Mari, glad to see you made it. We're having a tea party, I'd be enlightened if you joined, but..." She drawled out the last word, "...There's a catch. They want me go to Haneda airport and help out." Tea parties always caught Marabel's interests, "Say, how about we quickly go help out and then come back for the party? You can tell me about what you've been up to."

A sweet invitation for a sweet tooth of a Zodiac. Hotaru shut the TV off and stood up, she glanced at her great-grandmother. The woman was convinced that Hotaru was able to see tree spirits, after a month of Hotaru moving in, her illness has been healing. At times she would see Hotaru talking to air, surely it was her talking to a god about blessing the estate. During these times, Hotaru would use that to her advantage, "Great-ma, the tree spirit and the wind spirit spoke to me." She whispered to her ear, "They said I should go revive the plants at Haneda."

Getting her Great-ma's consent, Hotaru quickly shuffled out of the inn and down the stone steps. She swiped the inn keys and made her way out of the area. Haneda airport...the highways are going to be clogged up. It's thirty minutes to get there...I need a faster way. She decided to use her uncle's car to get to the airport, despite the heavy traffic.

"Sam, there bett--" Destruction everywhere, blazing flames outlined in the darkness, and most pressing, hollows. "Yeah, this would definitely be a good reason."

Appearing beside Sam, hovering a good few feet over the ground, Cetus quickly took in the defensive fort created by her host. She herself had a harpoon in her hand, and false drops of water quickly evaporated off of her. She'd been hunting in her limbo's ocean, that was, until her prey had been summoned away right in front of her eyes. And she'd been that close to making a fantastic catch. No matter, Sam had called them for good reason. She'd already all but forgotten it.

Because there was new prey at hand.

"Well, as long as you're taking the defensive..." she spoke to her host, her eyes, dark as a well's depths, on the hollows circling the harpoon circle. How convenient... like lambs to the slaughter... Cetus grinned, flashing her pointed teeth. She had a new mark.

Her pets reacted to the closing in of the Hollows. Given their instructions, they swam through the air, charging into two of the circling hollows. They opened their jaws, and closed it with crushing force around the creatures. Taking them into the air, wrangling and savagely shaking their heads side to side, they finally dropped the hollows down from their great height. Of course, they dropped the hollows outside of the circle of protrction. Then the pets returned, circling, ready to strike again.

Cetus swam up higher in the air, positioning herself. She chose a hollow, aimed the harpoon in her hand-- and let it loose. Straight to the creature's neck.

The harpoon seemed to go through the air, like a needle through a piece of cloth. To those who couldn't see Zodiacs, the harpoon would appear as if from nowhere, speeding to impale the hollow. To those who could, it would seem like it was going through some invisible barrier, and coming out the other side looking solid, instead of semi-transparent. No sooner did it leave her hand, than another appeared. Ready to impale any of the hollows that survived their injuries, or strike at the next opportune enemy.

A wink from Fushinsetsu was all Cecilia needed to understand the man's non-vocal request. Despite Dominic's aggression, a fight did not seem likely given the hooded man's neutral disposition, and Fushinsetsu's crazed desires for a group chat over tea. Although she rather remain at her colleague's side, the man, albeit insane, was more than capable of appropriately handling himself, while the same was not likely for the group of students thrown into the mess of Fushinsetsu's plans. Exhaling a small sigh, Cecilia began trotting towards the brawl-a-bear who was patiently awaiting further commands after its victory in the one sided fight against the local police force. Letting herself become lifted onto the bear's shoulder, it was at a swift sprint that the pair began traveling in the direction of the nearby highway. For the most part, the landscape was barren plain of abandoned, damaged vehicles as a result of the hollow's stampede that led them along a similar path of travel. From the distance, the echo of sirens and the faint illumination of Japanese emergency services were both audible and visible; an observation which only hurried Cecilia's speed of travel.

In due time, the spirit arrived at the scene of battle where she dismounted her means of transportation which subsequently reverted into the size of an ordinary teddy bear, held in her arms. Gazing upon the hosts and students alike, a neutral expression encompassed her face until a small sigh resulted from the presence at her side. Given her size and disposition, a surviving hollow had considered her an appropriate prey, and it was with an awkward charge that the creature was quickly approaching her flank. Without even bothering to glance, Cecilia lazily snapped her fingers in the hollows direction; an action which destroyed the thread of existence which defined the creature's skeletal structure. A quick whimper was all that could emit before the creature was reduced to a bloated bag of organs and blood which soon began staining the asphalt below.

"Alive for the most part. It seems our chaperones are halfway competent.
Nevertheless, sloppy coordination and inefficient allocation of power seems to be the appropriate response in observation of your performance. That and the inability to withhold the outcome of a casualty."

With her statement, Cecilia walked over to the bus where she began collecting the threads which defined William's late life. In a matter of seconds, what was once the appearance of a mangled boy, vanished from sight as if his existence no longer existed. Once her collection was complete, the spirit made her way to Aaron's side where she deconstructed the existence of his shirt and began examining the injury sustained on his side. Throwing her teddy bear onto the ground, the plush first retrieved a needle out of the interior of its mouth before climbing up Aaron's side and stitching his injury with thread that was only visible to Cecilia, herself. Rather than an expected outcome, the wound began to seal, and upon completion of the bear's procedure, the skin would have appeared untainted by any injury or scar.

"Secrets of our world are no longer necessary, and emergency services are on their way.
I would rather we evade any unnecessary attention so..."

The teddy bear quickly sprinted to the nearest car where it began stitching its needle into the damaged metal surface. In due time, the appearance of a human length mirror replaced the existence of the car's door, and a tap against the glass from Cecilia's hands liquified the glass into a flowing, milk-colored surface. In the background, a distorted appearance of a living room was visible within the frame.

"Come, unless you rather stay.
Though, you are covered in blood, survivors at the scene of events, and some of you lack appropriate passage into this country. I believe the decision should be self-explanatory."

Without further explanation or care towards the student's decisions, Cecilia passed through the mirrors surface which was connected with a similar mirror located in Fushinsetsu's residence at Tokyo Historical. Occupying what could have been defined as the "penthouse" of the dorm, the residence consisted of entire upper floor and was designed in a style similar to Ravenwood. A Victorian style living room was the initial destination, though a large bathroom, well-equipped kitchen and dining room, office, and several bedrooms existed throughout the entirety of its size. By the time any other students would have passed through the mirror, Cecilia would have been lazily reclining in a rocking chair, sewing arbitrary instances of cloth.

The Highway/Cecilia's Room place thing
Sam breathes with relief as Cetus comes with her sharks, he'd seen enough to know that Cetus was almost an exception among Zodiacs, she liked to get her hands dirty, as proven by taking out one of the two remaining sharks after her own pets went to work. That just left one...as far as Sam could see anyway. Regardless, he needed to get the non-hosts to the mirror. he shuddered, not exactly a fan of magical mirrors after the last time they'd seen them in action. He also knew their weak-point, but he figured now wasn't a good time to go smashing them, especially with it being their only way out and all.

"Move! With the Circle!" As he shouts out more orders to the nonhosts, he starts to mvoe towards the portal, harpoons forming a wall instead of a circle, blocking off the last remaining hollowe before impaling it with dozens of harpoons. After that's taken care of, he dispels Cetus's sharks, a grin on his face. "Thanks for the hand Cetus!" He calls out at the floating shark-woman above him. Although things would have been a bit more confusing to the nonhosts who couldn't see who he was referring to. "Go! Into the mirror!" He orders the nonhosts, standing on guard until they all go through, harpoon in hand.

After everyone else grows through, Sam follows. Listening to Cecilia and sighing inwardly. This was the second time she'd chastised the hosts, but he understood she had a point, even if she hadn't spoken the thought of William's death was fresh on his mind. Maybe it was how he didn't know him, or maybe a death wasn't quite the same the second time, but Sam didn't feel the heart wrenching pain he had felt when James died two years ago, or his brother so many years before that. But he was still frustrated, his mind angered at his inability to protect. He supposes he should be glad for the cool, calculated reasoning the hunter gave him.

Focus on keeping the others alive.

Marabel clapped her hands excitedly to the idea of a tea party, on top of going somewhere with her Host. She's never heard of a place called "Haneda Airport" and her curiosity was reaching it's peak! "Oooh! Yes, please! I wanna have teeeaaa!" Marabel clutched Hotaru's hand with a tight grip, almost unable to control her enthusiasm. "What will we be doing at Ha-ne..da? Haneda? Airport, Taru?" Marabel gasped, her multicolored eyes lighting up by the reflection of the lights in the room as her little body arched up. "Are we going to see airplanes? Like the ones tha-" Suddenly, Marabel came to a morose shut down. She has a negative history with certain kinds of aircraft, but still finds intrigue in passenger planes, and lighter aircraft. Repressed memories of an unsavory event involving airplanes quickly distracted her from her previous glee, but was just as quickly forgotten as it was remembered. Her gentle eyes returned to Hotaru. She gave a reassuring grin and a quick nod for confirmation. "Okay!" She stated, as she watched Hotaru return to her Elder and then vacate the inn with some haste. How hurried she appeared to be vexed Marabel, pinging a little worry as to what will happen next. It wasn't the first time she's Hotaru like this. "Oh, poo.." Marabel pushed herself up from her knees, and bounced after Hotaru.

...

She followed her beloved Host down to her Uncles car, which only met she'd be getting a ride down to the airport. A change from using public transportation. The only downside being that she wouldn't have the chance to study people as extensively as she could staring out of a window. She phased through the back door and levitated in the back seat, legs crossed. "Hey, Taru..." Marabel asked glumly. "There aren't... Bad planes at the airport right?"

Damian followed the sound of death and battle to find that Sam had successfully dispatched the Hollows and managed to keep the rest of the students safe. Some easing news to help settle his roused disposition. He approached Sam, eying the defenses he put up for the students. He was impressed as well as intrigued to how he put it all together. He's never seen Sam's powers in action, so some spectating was in order for the future. Regardless, the situation was handled and Dr. Aldricht was already on the scene, prepared with a portal of some sort. At least to Damian's first assumption, from what he's seen Sam's beginning to usher the students inside. "Then I can assume this is finally over with? Dominic hasn't come back yet, nor has Takumi. So what's taking them?" Damian asked himself, looking back towards the light of fire. In the distance, Damian could hear sirens echoing from roads far down; ambulances, fire engines, police. He wanted to cut and run as soon as possible. It wouldn't take too long for news crews to show up, now that peace has been established on the roadway. "I may as well take her way though."

Highway of Hugs -> Tokyo Historical
Japanstronk + Ravenwood crew

Fight scene, fight scene, it’s a fight scene, fight scene.

Iphie had expected that the chaperones were involved in some level in the earlier supernatural happenings at Brookfield, but her suspicions were all but confirmed by the older trio themselves, wielding a myriad of weapons to hold off the ghastly beings that assaulted the Ravenwood crew’s defensive position. While not the sword that Kaivant wielded in the alleyway on that fateful day, they were strikingly similar in function. With a visible defense line (or circle?) now forming, she supposed that her own question was answered in a roundabout way. She felt almost awkward standing behind Sam and the other hosts, amongst cowering students and the myriad wall of harpoons. The fight that happened next was a curbstomp battle in their favor, which Iphigenia watched with television-like attention. Somehow, she felt sad that she was not able to use her newfound weapon.

The appearance of Cecilia riding a bear like Abraham Lincoln brought a raised eyebrow and another set of answers to some her questions. Iphie pocketed the small weapon in the breast pocket of her jacket, pulling out a handkerchief simultaneously to wipe the still-fresh blood off her face. Staying still, her eyes tracked the smaller girl with observant eyes as she went work. Her other eyebrow raised when little Cecilia disappeared the remains of William, with little ceremony. She would have missed it had she not been specifically looking at the teddy-loving spirit. Was she the grim fucking reaper?

Her train of thought came a grinding halt at her own idle joke. Considering what had just happened and how supernatural it was, all bets were off the table as to who the likes of Sam, Cecilia, Kaivant or even professor Takumi really were. For all she knew, they were some demons from some cliché Japanese shounen, or ghosts, or X-men, or whatever.

If all bets were off… did that mean that lone entry from 1834 had some significance?

Iphigenia’s remaining thoughts were cut off at the bellow of Sam’s commands, producing a flicker of annoyance in her face. She liked Cecilia’s style better. I go where I want, thank you very much.

Nonetheless, she was the second into the mirror-like device, with Cecilia being the only one ahead of her. There were too many questions still unanswered.

What was the best way to approach it?

Aaron watched as the circling figures were summarily dispatched by the remaining chaperones, a something invisible with teeth, and raining harpoons. It appeared they were much weaker than the larger rhino as they were easily put down without any further harm coming to the students. He looked around at the sound of approaching sirens but they were still a ways off. By the time they arrived there would be no evidence left as to what had transpired, besides the group of survivors. And a shape that looked like a large bear approaching with a smaller figure on its back. As it approached he saw it was Professor Cecilia on a large teddy bear, one which returned to normal size as she came to a stop. The sight was quickly filed away in his mind, just another impossibility that was real.

As she spoke and walked over to the bus his eyes drifted away from her and to the fire raging behind them in the airport. There were still two people from the group who had yet to return from there. If Cecilia was returning alone it was possible both of them had perished in whatever was going on back there. He had a feeling that was an undesirable outcome. Then his gaze drifted to the chaperones. Sam was standing tall, weapon still in hand but Clark was difficult to locate and Damian was still in the bus, hidden from sight. They would have to be thanked later.

Cecilia returned from the ruined vehicle and walked straight to him, his shirt disappearing, and causing his attention to return to her. He registered a vague feeling of cold from the night's air on his bare skin, but lacked any feeling of embarrassment in his current state. For the activities he was involved in his body was surprisingly free of scars. Once the teddy bear was done he ran a hand over the repaired area feeling no sign of thread or damaged skin. He wasn't even aware he had been wounded there, and now it was gone so completely it was hard to believe he had. Only the small amount of blood that remained on his skin gave any indication something had happened. All he could do was give a small nod of thanks to the girl even as she walked off.

He watched events continue to unfold, his mind recording everything for later analysis or, possibly, deletion from his mind. Anyone who had of looked at him during this time would easily see the vacant gaze that was stuck on his face as if lacking a sentience behind it. When the mirror was complete and students began to move through it he followed at Cecilia and Sam's instruction. Appearing in the suite he ignored the obvious choice of questioning the others and began searching. He quickly found a bathroom where he washed off the blood that remained on his skin, then found a bedroom shortly after. Dropping his bag on the floor he dropped to the bed and was soon asleep.

| Hotaru Nakamura |
| Interactions: Marabel @Voltaire |

The dark haired girl exhaled as her Zodiac decided to follow her. Hotaru twirled her long black strands with her index and her thumb. She was worried that Marabel would see through her deception and not want to help her out with the events at Haneda. Tea seemed to motivate the mushroom hat lady, Hotaru wondered if she should stock up on more tea. If she did, Marabel would want to spend more time with her. She felt like she had neglected to answer a question for her.

She didn't bring it up, it would have had her bring up more talking. Hotaru pulled the belt seat across her chest and clicked it in place. Her uncle didn't give her permission to actually use the car, but she was going to help people out. Once she does, she was sure that the people will turn to the idea of changing their faith. If that changed, then more customers for the inn and the temple. She needs more excuses for taking the car, the girl inserted the key. The car shook awake and pulled out of the driveway.

The rear-view mirror reflected Marabel's low glow, it reminded her that Marabel wasn't all really there. The bright energy seemed to be contained as the Zodiac asked her about the airport, "Bad planes?" She repeated. All of a sudden, reasons of why her Zodiac was asking about that. Afraid of heights? No, Marabel would have asked if we were going to board a plane. Her thoughts tried to touch on every subject, maybe she was beheaded or saw someone being beheaded by a plane. A Kamikaze perhaps? Hotaru explored the word bad and what it meant for Marabel.

Realizing that she didn't give an answer, Taru cleared her throat, "I didn't check. If there are, you don't need to worry.." The car slowed to a stop at a red light and Hotaru turned around to face Marabel. The host quickly examined her Zodiac, Marabel's hair was kept long and looked soft to touch. Her dual colored eyes were missing a spark of excitement. Planes must really be a sore subject to her Zodiac. Hotaru realized that it's been a while since she heard Marabel in an upset voice. An upbeat girl like her should stay happy. She pointed to herself with a two finger salute, "..I'll keep you safe." A white lie as Hotaru was sure that her Zodiac was much more stronger than her physically, but it didn't hurt for Marabel to have someone to count on.

It didn't take long for her to reach the highways and the traffic, it started with loud honking and then the cars trying to escape the highway by using the right lanes as well as the left. Police intervention was far off into the distance. Realizing that going further down would result in more chaos, Hotaru quickly turned into a shoulder. She drove down the grassy terrain like most of the other cars. In a state of an emergency...I don't think they will care about speeding...

She slammed down on the foot pedal and avoided the large line of cars. The path was bumpy and overall, unpleasant to tread on. At a distance, she could see the blaring red lights. It seemed like half the local police department were blocking this one path. That meant that JSDF was going to be involved. The news seemed to leave that major detail out. Frowning slightly, Hotaru slowed the car about five hundred feet from the front line of cars. People who did not of the incident were yelling at the blue uniforms to let them through.

Hotaru glanced over, no one seemed to be inside the cars. Inhaling sharply, she forced the car to speed to off around the police cars and the barriers. Her actions caused a chain reaction as other cars followed suit. The Japanese police force began to yell and wave their arms at the people trying to escape. Thankfully, Hotaru was able to speed off without worry.

[Past Midnight, Before Dawn]
[Going to Cecilia’s Haven]
[Japanstronk, minus dead scrub]

He was feeling dizzy from adrenaline now, a dizziness that came from that fearful excitement of his, as his brain raced to absorb all the information present in the scenery before him. It was becoming difficult to breathe, and his legs were cramping from staying coiled for so long, but Darius didn’t mind. He was etching everything he saw into his mind.

Iphie had picked up a gun. The chauvinistic side of Darius wondered whether she could even shoot with it or not.

Sam had summoned dozens of harpoons, circling the students that had managed to get out of the bus. The judgmental Darius wondered why he hadn’t done so earlier, why that scrub hadn’t speared the shadowy behemoth before it even attacked.

The other two had somehow killed that monster, without a scratch. The playboy Darius just wanted to fuck someone before he died to another one of these insane events, cause it’d suck to die a virgin.

And, as things finally calmed down, with Professor Cecilia Aldricht arriving on bearback, like a hero returning from a victorious battle, the rational, investigative Darius was pleased. So the oddities weren’t mere coincidences after all. Perhaps, just like those unclear monsters, the super-cute Cecilia was also not quite natural?

Nevertheless, the fight ended as suddenly as it had began, and he could feel relief wash over him, draining all the strength he had in his body. Landing on his knees, Darius looked up into the black, firelit skies, still teeming with smoke. He smelled the stench of gasoline, blood, and fire, things that he had become accustom to. He heard the sound of sirens from far-off roads, the Doppler effect demonstrating itself in this moment. He still felt the wetness on his face, which was hardening, contracting over his face. He could register all those things happening with such clarity, such focus that Darius did something he rarely did.

At the end of the battle, slumped and on his knees, the true Darius laughed, a hyena-esque chuckle filled with fear, helplessness, self-loathing, and…

…a hungering, thirsting, eloquent desire for more.

It took him a few moments to recover himself, and by the time he did so, Darius realized that he was lagging behind the rest of the group. One of the last students to enter into Cecilia’s…mirror-portal thing, he sighed happily as cool, air-conditioned winds greeted him. It was a Victorian-style living room, to be sure, and their little supernatural girl of a professor was now impersonating a grandmother, sewing what appeared to be clothing while rocking back and forth on a wooden chair.

Sorta cute, really.

“Still holding onto that gun, Iphie?” he remarked, having at least enough presence of mind to keep his voice down. Darius wasn’t exactly sure what was going to happen now, but it would be amusing, at least, if Iphie pulled a gun on one of the Ravenwood chaperones and demanded answers like a proper British secret agent.

Japanstronk + Ravenwood crew

The step through the mirrored portal was a sharp environment shock for the arriving students. Iphie too, had reason to pause for a moment after stepping through the framed portal into what seemed like another world. She was met with wood paneled walls, gilt furniture, and a magnificent marble fireplace. This nuance of Victorian architecture was distinctly familiar. Iphigenia recognized it as quite similar to the buildings in Brookfield and the aerospace campus, and she could not help but wonder how far the influences of Ravenwood reached. Directly in front of her, sitting in a rocking chair as if she had been there for hours, was the petite subject of her investigation two days prior… One Cecilia Aldricht, who at this juncture, was clearly deeply weaved into the mysterious machinations that had taken place since her arrival at the gilded college.

Iphie pulled aside one of the gilded chairs, looking down at herself to check if any blood had actually gotten on her clothing. Satisfied that her soiled handkerchief was the only bloodied article, she sat down on the comfortable, cushy seat just to see Darius waltzing in, with a shit eating grin on his face as he inquired of her new possession. Was the souvenir she collected really a big deal? There were bigger fish to fry. She made a finger gun and pointed it at her classmate with a nonchalant frown.

“Sure. If you wanted one, they were raining from the heavens for some time. Along with dead people, but I digress.”

She reclined into the seat as if coming home from a long day of work. Iphie’s attention turned to the young girl atop the rocking stair, still working away at a piece of cloth. She recalled the laughable messages she received about a rampaging stuffed bear with a stifled smile before speaking.

“I don’t suppose,” she started, in a casual tone that could almost be taken as jaded, “That was you who took out Officer Kenji and the Haneda police garrison?”

And to think, the tea will never get cold with your toasty self at hand."

Aciel's conclusion in favour of tea brought about a positive reaction from Fushinsetsu who immediately rose to his feet with incessant clapping. An overjoyed smile encompassed the man's expression as he began nobly pouring three cups of tea, one for each participant present amongst the wreckage. After beckoning the hooded man toward the chair at his left, the man took a moment to seat himself, only to be shortly interrupted by the nearing sirens of the Japanese emergency forces. A grim expression quickly replaced the man's happiness as he exhaled a bitter sigh whilst glaring in the direction of the echoing ruckus.

"Such an inpatient existence humans are. Always quick to interrupt the finer qualities of life.
It is but a shame that we cannot simply enjoy a cup of tea without concerning ourselves with trivial matters.
...Alas, a grey cloud befalls a tragedy that is lost pleasure for our enjoyment, no?"

With the conclusion of his dramatic speech, Fushinsetsu rose to his feet and performed an equally dramatic bow in the direction which Aciel stood. In the time it took to bow then right his body, an unkindness of ravens flocked in the skies above and eventually settled throughout the vicinity around their master. Echoes of caws filled the area with their call, whilst the hollow energy of their existence weighted the air with their overpowering aura.

"Fushinsetsu, a pleasure to introduce myself.
First, I hope you will accept my heart-filled apologies for the sudden change of events.
Truly, I would invite you to my Limbo in continuation of our future discussion, though a quick glance in your past hints that such an offer might end...unfavorably?
You have your plans whatever they may be...while I...have my plans...whatever they may be.
Fate will bring us together sooner than later, and I certainly hope you will adapt most favorably.
For starters, I might recommend becoming acquainted with our new era, though. It would be rather...unfortunate...if attention brought you down so quickly after your arise, no?
And as for you Dominic...I'll leave the future in your own hands. Follow or fight...The decision is yours..."

Maniac laughter was all that sounded amongst the ravens which enveloped Fushinsetsu in a storm of feather and bird. Bursting into the sky, all that was soon visible was a cloud of darkness traveling in the direction of the city's horizon, afar.

As the students began to arrive, Cecilia remained focus on the cloth in her hands, rather than bide her attention towards the battered individuals, exhausted from the attack. Overall, their mental stability or desire for answers was hardly a concern for the spirit who deemed their existence inferior. In the past, Cecilia displayed an act of childish innocence, akin to the age of her appearance; however, such illusions were no longer necessary given the event which occurred. It wasn't until a particular girl choose to seat herself a short distance away, converse with another student, and address the Cecilia with a question that the spirit turned her attention away from sewing. Although her focus had been minimal, Cecilia had heard the statements from Iphie's mouth, and the spirit couldn't help but express the hint of a smile in response to the darkened humor the human had. Nevertheless, the expression quickly faded to a frown as Cecilia began to speak in reply to the girl's question.

"I don't suppose it was you who chose to loot the corpses of your kind.
Here I thought most humans had some sort of respect for each other...Shun did.
It is good to know my distaste for your existence is not without reason."

Cecilia fell silent and returned her attention back towards the cloth which was beginning to resemble the appearance of a male shirt. Time passed in this manner, until a snap of her fingers echoed throughout the room, and the existence of the windows at her rear seemingly vanished. Despite existing on the thirteenth floor, Fushinsetsu stepped into the room with a couple of ravens who landed on the ground at his side. While the man simply waved in the direction of the students, the birds began walking towards Darius and Iphie in curious inspection of their existence. Another subsequent snap of Cecilia's fingers signaled the teddy bear, at her side, who hopped off the chair and began stitching the existence of the windows back into place.

"One casualty....
Could have gone far worse, but could have gone far better. This investigation has become something troublesome, no?
Though, it amazes me, you children are still awake. I figured you'd be unconscious much like Aaron in the next room over...Though, he'll be awake soon enough. Such fragile beings you are...experiencing nightmares so easily...As if you knew what true fear is."

Walking over to the Cecilia's side, Fushinsetsu lifted the spirit's petite body out of the rocking chair in order to seat himself with Cecilia on his lap. A hiss followed the bitter glare directed at the man's existence, though, no further protest emitted from the spirit who chose to simply continue sewing. Laughter erupted from Fushinsetsu in response to Cecilia's actions, and it was after lazily settling himself into a reclined position that the man began curiously inspecting the two students present.

"Interesting...most interesting. To think that both of you would adapt so easily to the experiences of our world.
In particular, you...girl...promise...
Nevertheless, perhaps curiosity plagues both of your existences, though it is best if you be on your way for rest. We have a busy day ahead of us. I would rather everyone gets acquainted with their actual dorm here at Tokyo Historical. In addition, our luggage was lost. I would imagine a shopping trip is in order for acquisition of that which was lost."

With nothing more to say, Fushinsetsu shut his eyes and let his head fall back against the support of the chair. Although he did not require sleep, it was a luxury to be enjoyed when time deemed it acceptable. In due time, the sound of the man's gentle snore sounded into the room while Cecilia simply continued to sew in silence.

After being removed from the bus on an evacuation with her classmates, Vivienne felt everything fly by her in a wild blur. In a circle outside the bus, they'd been surrounded by harpoons, keeping whatever was threatening them away and at bay. She didn't know what it was. what had destroyed everything besides the bus, really since her eyes had failed to focus normally since William's body had found her line of sight. It was terrible, and still the image made her want to vomit. He had been so destroyed, and worst still was the idea that there was no body really left to mourn over. Vivienne hadn't even known the boy, yet still the thought left lingering sadness as she was now pushed once again by the hands of a stranger.

It was so cold for only a second, like someone had doused her in water, but soon she emerged into... A hotel room?... It made no sense at all, how that happened, but then again a lot of things in the moment were confusing her. As such she didn't question, and after being surprised that she miraculously had both her bags, Vivienne stumbled into one of the rooms, spotting Aaron curled up and asleep. Sleep seemed like a good idea too, so Vivienne decided she'd follow that lead.

Dropping her bags to the floor, Vivienne walked over and with only minor embarrassment laid down next to Aaron, curling up next to him. She meant no suggestion in the action, but with how shaken she was still, anything of familiarity was welcome. And in this case, Aaron was probably her most familiar companion. Perhaps she could've gone to speak to Clark, but then again he seemed more calm and in control of things. Aaron however, seemed just as shaken as her. He'd understand how upset she was better, and he probably would take to being slept next to better. With that thought process coming to a close, Vivienne did relax next to the other and close her eyes, waiting for some sleep to take her away.

Every so slightly, a subtle smile formed on the face of the seated girl as Cecilia responded to her unorthodox inquiry. This may have seemed odd, seeing as her question was bluntly deflected away in the form of a thinly veiled insult as a jab at Iphie’s moral fiber, but she only shifted her posture, clasping her hands in a resting position. After all, it was a question that Iphigenia already knew the answer to; it was only the reaction that was what she valued. But the little girl was not wrong, although hypocritical. There was no moral high road to take in the assault of peace officers and in depriving a grieving family the lack of a proper burial and closure after all. She considered adding this observation to her response, but decided she did not feel like spewing rhetoric in the twilight hours of the morning.

Putting a hand thoughtfully to her chin, she spoke again, with a simple shrug and a tone that held no animosity towards the seated weaver.

“You’re not wrong. That is me; there is a value dissonance. Existence is reasonable, let’s make things better.”

Identifying that further conversation at the moment with the cute spirit was unlikely to carry on meaningfully, Iphie too, fell silent, leaning back on her seat with her hands clasped and closing her eyes. She stayed like this for some time, until the sound of a finger snap prompted her to open one eye to see the grand arrival of their eccentric white-haired professor. A hand came her face to hide her amusement as she watched the man pick up the seated Cecilia, whose adorable hissing betrayed the cold personality she had shown earlier. Settling back down again after Setsu took his seat, she listened passively to the man’s words with a small smile, before closing her eyes once again as he finished.

Questions would be answered later, she agreed.

Upon hearing the sleeping snores of the Ravenwood president, Iphie stood up, grabbing the bag she had placed on the ground earlier.

“Allow me to take my leave, then.”

The bus ride to the university was going slowly. As expected the traffic around the airport was very heavy even at this time at night and they were moving at a slow crawl. If they didn’t get out of it soon Aaron knew that he’d be falling asleep on the bus, his head was already resting on the window next to him. The glass was cold and soothing against the tiredness as was the general air temperature. The driver must’ve had the air con on because it felt like there was a breeze blowing through the vehicle and he could feel a cold wind on his chest. The Armstrong uniform shirt did nothing against it. Unfortunately his jacket was in his luggage in the bus and there’d be no getting it out now. His hand rose up and scratched his side in-between two ribs, he’d have to get that itch checked out.

His eyelids fluttered open as William started speaking again, leaning in to whisper his words into Aaron’s ear so no one else could hear them. Akira was sitting in front of them but twisted around to look at the two boys, nodding along as William spoke. How the two of them weren’t jet lagged he had no idea, probably a fuckton of coffee in their veins. Whatever it was they had taken this opportunity to relentlessly pester him about the events at Soul Food. William was going on about how he had spoken to one of the students who they had ‘seen’ in the alley and had the events confirmed. And then something about how Ravenwood was involved all the way up to the two professors on the trip. Something about a bird and a mirror and a teddy bear he had seen moving.

Akira was obviously agreeing with every word from her expression, though it was a wonder how she could even hear when Aaron barely could. Maybe they’d rehearsed this together and she knew what her partner was saying. Why wouldn’t they just leave him alone? The more William went on the more it sounded like some impossible conspiracy theory and somehow Aaron believed him less with each word. It had just been a hallucination from bad food. Brookfield might not be the most interesting town to live in but you didn’t need to make up lies to make the place more exciting. There were things you could do for fun if you looked. And this trip, it was an adventure on its own. A visit to a foreign land they had never been too and a chance to learn all about it. Focus on that guys he wanted to say, but he was too tired to speak.

Glancing around he saw Sam and Vivienne sitting together behind him, a few seats back, in silence. Both of them looked nervous, the latter in a fearful way and the former looking more like he was anticipating something. He’d much rather be there, but that would require getting past William. He tried to speak, “Will-” but the boy cut him off. Twice more he opened his mouth, but both times he was shut down. A little annoyed now, he took his hand and placed it on William’s chest and pushed him, being more forceful in his desire.

The hand touched the boy’s shirt and moved forward. But rather than pushing the whole body backwards the skin around his hand broke and Aaron caved his whole chest in. Suddenly his hand was around the other boy’s heart and soaked in blood. William had stopped speaking mid-sentence to look down at the wound, mouth hanging open in shock. Horrified Aaron pulled his hand back and a harpoon emerged from William’s chest in his grip. He stared as William began haemorrhaging blood from his chest, splashing Aaron’s shirt and covering the entire piece of clothing. His hand burned as imaginary teeth sliced through the skin leaving dozens of small cuts that threatened to tear it apart. And then the other boy exploded.

Akira screamed as the bus and its occupants were painted a new colour. Aaron couldn’t stop staring at his hand. What the fuck just happened. He looked at the empty seat next to him and saw the head of a rhino tear through the fabric. Its horn burst through and its body soon followed and the bus was thrown sideways, tumbling over itself. Aaron lost all sense of direction as his body was thrown about, hitting people, chairs and rough skin. At some point he collided with a window and was thrown clear, landing on rough tar with the sound of fires burning all around.

He lay there, staring at the red sky until Kaivant leant over him, black sword resting on his shoulder. The man mouthed something, the word forget was in there. Aaron blinked and the man was gone, replaced by a shadow hound. On reflex he stabbed the harpoon up into it, but the weapon was gone and all he had was a bloody fist. It passed through the beast’s form causing it to laugh as it faded away. Panting he climbed to his feet and looked around. His shirt had been torn off in the crash and sweat coated his body. Howls filled the air from the throats of a hundred wolves. He could see them off to his right. Only Sam and a circle of harpoons stood between him and them. But as they charged the brave chaperone was overwhelmed, taking down dozens but swallowed up by the horde. And then they came after him.

Aaron ran, as fast as he could manage. He could hear them catching up. The sound of paws on ground. The hot air wafting from their nostrils. Teeth catching on his pants before tearing free. Up ahead stood Damian and he aimed for the other chaperone. He was facing the wrong way and Aaron had no voice to call out. The man turned of his own accord, to reveal his eye patch was gone, a black hole in its place. Aaron’s gaze fell into the darkness and the pack caught him. His legs went out from beneath him as a dozen jaws closed around them. One bit into his side, tearing out the ribs on that side and leaving a dreadful wound. He wanted to scream in pain but his mouth was still closed. And he realised his eyes too were sealed shut, he could see nothing but darkness. Silence and darkness were what he knew as the hounds tore his body apart.

He heard Kaivant’s words in his mind, “Would it be best if you forget all this blind boy?”

He stood facing a giant stone wall. It wasn’t too wide, maybe twenty metres and half as much tall. It was anchored in the cliffs of darkness that rose to either side. Behind the wall was a red and white glow. In the very centre was a large crack through which some of the glow bled. A dozen smaller cracks sprouted from its length, each threatening to grow into larger ones. He could feel an immense pressure pushing against the wall.

Below his feet was a solid metal slab of metal. He could feel another pressure against it and knew where he was. His mind. His secrets. His vault. His wall. His past. A year’s worth of work to become a better person. To change from the boy who had caused pain. And it was threatening to crumble. Because he refused to open his eyes. Because his mind still fought to explain everything rationally.

He walked towards the wall until he could reach out and touch it. He did so, crouching down to start at where it touched the dark ground and tracing a small semi-circle. It was only a metre high at its peak. On the bottom a doorknob appeared made of a nice wood. The line he had traced darkened and became a break in the wall. At the very top a hinge also manifested made of steel. The pressure needed to be relieved or it would all go. And that required sacrifice.

He grabbed the doorknob and pulled the door opened.

The scream was loud enough that anyone on the penthouse would hear it. And likely anyone in the floor below would also hear it. Aaron shot upright, hands clenching to either side of his head, eyes wide and mouth gulping down air. It was all real. William was dead and he was right, it was all real.

Vivienne had, surprisingly, gotten some decent rest after curling up besides Aaron in one of the rooms in the penthouse they had been directed into after the fight. Her mind was blank in dream land and her body still, obviously weighed down from the toll that had been taken on her earlier. She looked peaceful really despite that however, her face smoothed out of its wrinkles and hair sticking up in some odd yet somehow charming ways. She still looked a bit aged from recent stress though with light bags under her eyes, but she was unaware of all the nightmares that were going on even just beside her. She was alone in her mind, basking in the blackness and quiet the inside of her mind provided...

Well, until she awoke to a scream.

Eyes snapping open, Vivienne herself let a sharp yelp pass her lips as she moved away from the startling noise of Aaron's scream, soon landing with a loud whimper and unpleasant thud on the floor beside the bed she'd been resting atop. Even the carpet on it didn't help soften the blow on her body, and Vivienne finished her odd sound string by a loud and low groan at some pain in her hip resulting from landing almost completely on it. Probably just a bruise, but once she'd sat up and spotted Aaron's distress, she attempted to push it away and see what had caused the scream that, really, had to have been uttered by him. After all, who else was near enough to startle her away that rapidly and roughly?

"A-Aaron, it's okay! We're fine here, j-just breathe, breathe and calm down... I-I'm here..." Vivienne shyly laid her hand on Aaron's arm, trying to offer a relaxing smile despite her clear uncertainty, colored by a vivid blush over her cheeks. She didn't know if they were close enough for such soothing after all, but what else could she do? Let him scream and pant like an animal? That would've been flat out mean to do, especially if she just got up and walked out with him like that.

[Early Afternoon]
[The Penthouse of the King]
[Japanstronk, Mentally Laughing at Aaron]

Darius had stayed silent during the exchange of words, the effects of adrenaline and fear taking their time to wear off. It was odd, how tired he was, yet how lively he was. It shouldn’t have come as a surprise to him by now, but Iphie’s disregard to looting corpses reminded him that she was still, indeed, a monster girl. Perhaps not one that had the same supernatural powers as pretty much everyone else in Ravenwood, but still…probably a psychopath.

There were other points, though, that made his brain overflow. He was probably reading way too much into it, but the phrase ‘Shun did’ made theories practically explode in his mind.

Shun did. Not Shun does. If that was the case, then what does Shun do now? The white-haired Professor that looked nothing like the Japanese he claimed to be was a fun, fun conundrum. A scary one that brought ravens with him, but also a funny one. Especially when he lifted Cecilia up and sat the little old woman-girl on his lap, spewing ominously pretentious prose all the way.

“If Kaivant was the older brother, and Cecilia the young sister…does that make Shun their father?” They all looked too young, but at the same time, it’s not like any of them were regular humans. For all Darius knew, they could be magical vampires. He scratched his neck, rolled his shoulders, and walked off, leaving the incestuous lovebird to their sewing and sleeping.

“Later then, Iphie.”

With that, he set out to explore. 17 hours of sleep has made him rather restless, and he was fairly confident that he could go at least another 30 hours without hitting the hay. Finding an official-looking room that had a rather nice executive chair, Darius sat down, checked out the password that was conveniently placed on the router, and got out his notebooks, mechanical pencils, and laptop.

There were lots of things on his mind to organize, after all.

~~~
Through the windows of the well-furnished office rooms, the first rays of sunlight peeked through, and Darius yawned, stretching out. A series of pops and cricks could be heard as his joints unlocked, and slowly, the boy stood up. It was a night filled with writing and typing and music listening and documentaries, but it was fun, regardless. Deciding that it was as good of a time as ever to take a shower, he closed his laptop, shrugged at his lack of new clothing, and found himself taking a long, hot bath in a luxurious bath tub. Any fatigue he might have accumulated was washed away, and it was, all in all, an enjoyable experience after all his interneting and notebooking.
The exhibitionist Darius was almost tempted to walk around naked for a bit, but thankfully, it was only a weak, spontaneous impulse that was crushed by the rational Darius within half-seconds.
Instead, after changing back to his sooty clothing, he began to wander once more, checking out where everyone else was.
First thing he saw was Aaron and Vivi, sleeping together, cuddling each other, even. Sniffing the room, he could smell the distinct stench of sweat, and couldn’t help grinning at this. Fear was the best aphrodisiac, eh? He didn’t hear any weird thumps at night, but that could very well just be due to super-luxurious soundproofing, couldn’t it? Hopefully, the two of them had worn condoms or what-not, and had disposed of those things properly, but as for now…
Darius walked back to the office room, brought his laptop with him, and took pictures of the couple. He still couldn’t get used to how straight-laced Aaron looked, compared to how much of a teddy bear the boy currently looked.
Next, he slipped back into the living room, and was surprised to see that Iphie was up and about as well. The soundproofing in this penthouse must be really amazing, if he hadn’t even heard her cooking up whatever meal he was currently smelling. Nevertheless, Darius wasn’t hungry for English food anyways, and smiled an awkward one towards Iphie.
Birds of a feather flock together, or something like that?
He proceeded with the awkward photographing, trying to hold back the effeminate Darius’s squeals all the way. Jesus, it was criminal, how cute Cecilia’s sleeping face was. He definitely had a lethal weapon in his hands now. Slipping out of the living room, the freckled boy continued his early morning explorations.
Everyone else’s sleeping positions weren’t quite as interesting, sadly, and Darius went back into the office room, back to checking out popular tourist destinations and shops in Tokyo.
He was definitely going to hit Uniqlo for the discount clothing though.
~~~

It must have been early afternoon when the screams occur, snapping Darius out of his window-shopping spree. Standing up, the boy rushed out of the office, towards the source of the noise. It was the bedroom that Aaron and Vivi were in. Another monster? Another incident? Another…

Oh, it was just Aaron screaming his head off because of nightmares or trauma or whatever, and Vivi madly blushing like a horny twelve year old while she tried to comfort him with her body. Yup, definitely not something he should have stumbled on.

Standing at the doorway, he tilted his head to the side, wondering what exactly he should say.

"So...should I leave you two lovers alone?"

Literally nothing on him, other than his clothes.

She had drifted away from the scene in shock. Her body was sprawled on the bed she was on. If she'd of been thinking she'd of insisted she share a room with someone just to be safe. It wouldn't of mattered who, the first person she ran into in the hotel. Male, female, agender, as long as they were human and not deep in the Raven-Scheme she wouldn't of cared. Formalities and social graces meant absolutely zilch. She was shaken up truly and sincerely. After seeing such a death in front of her what else could she do but drop her wall? Instead she slept alone and dreamt of William.

"Akira." William tapped her shoulder, approaching almost silently from behind. Akira spun around, her pigtails flying behind her, and put a playful smile on her face. "Ah?" She tilted her head. "You had a good night's sleep?" He asked her. "Hm. Yeah. Did you?" Akira moved her weight onto another foot, tilting her head slightly. She appeared to be present in a grassy field with flowers as far as the eye could see. Violet, Blue, Green, Pink and yellow danced around her in a perfect serenity. Her white dress blew in the wind and her hair gently fluttered. William on the other hand looked rather solemn and of all things, ready for school. "I suppose." William looked off into nowhere mysteriously as a red speck appeared on his cheek. "You've got jam." Akira bent to pull a petal to while the jam off. But when she looked up he as gone.

She awoke hearing the scream and went running towards the scene. She was merely in a set of pajama pants and a tank top with her long alburn hair in a messy bun from the pillow but she had no time for modesty. She was in the doorway right after Darius then paused. Based on Darius' statement Akira wasn't sure what happened now. She simply looked at the two then looked at Darius with a 'did you see more than I did?' Kind of look. Their situation was rather suspicious but Akira still had to wonder.

Sam had difficulty sleeping that night. He had done well yes, but Cecilia's callous evaluation had left doubts within. Could they have done better? Was there any way the victim could have survived? He sighed, fists clenched as he laid in bed. Probably not. But he knew it was something he'd carry with him for a long time. But ever since Fushinsetsu's Damn carnival two years back, Sam had realized not to weigh so much on the past. Not to have them drag you down, but to move along. It was ironic when he thought about it. One of the few things that let him move past James' death was one of the key events that had led up to it. He still wasn't strong enough to protect those weaker then him...so he just had to get stronger. With that thought in mind, he falls asleep, although he finds himself up early the next morning, and does some work on his translation program until he hears a scream from what sounds like Aaron.

"Shit!"

Had there been another attack? How had a hollow snuck past them? Cetus's Harpoon in hand, (Sorry bout that Cetus, it is the easiest to summon in a pinch.) he bolts out of his room, and down the hall. Worry in his mind. While this was a bit abnormal for Sam, the daeth from the night before was still heavy on his mind. So after barging his way past Darius and Akira, he soon found himself in the middle of Aaron's room, the boy himself screaming his head off while one of the other students...Sam recalls her name, Vivienne or something is trying to comfort him. With a relieved sigh, he dispels Cetus's harpoon. (He really is sorry bout that, here's hoping she was drinking or something) Kneeling down, he speaks in his normal tone of voice, calm and friendly. "Aaron, take a deep breath. You'll wake up everyone at this rate." He sighs. "I understand you must have had a terrible nightmare, you want to talk about it? Sometimes that helps."

To a bystander not paying much attention, it would seem like Sam was just doing his job as a chaperone. Talking to a panicked student.

If only things were that simple.
