Zodiac Children

Holli watched the stupid Ox and the horrible Rat gravitate towards Drake from the corner of her eye as she was starting a new game of solitaire. Fea was yelling at Holli but she ignored that. Holli was too focused on the Rat and what he was doing. "Hey, Drake, You ok?" He said in a soft tone to Drake but this only caused Holli to scoff and return her focus back to the cards. She started to mess with her cards angrily. For some odd reason she never liked the rat. They barley talked before so she doesn't have the right to make a conclusion and she knows that but something about him ticks her off.

Just like she inferred earlier, he wouldn't react kindly to pity. Drake stood up and shouted words that were only an attempt to seem strong. The words only made him seem like a spoiled brat. Holli then stood up too in response to his words. She walked over sternly to Drake and not stopping to think this time. She stopped and looked at Drake with an unamused expression. " I'm sorry" Holli took a pause "Now stop acting like a spoiled brat. You are suppose to be older than me. Try to act like it, Dragon."

Holli said this knowing she was going to get a lot of lectures. She was hoping to get attention on her so Drake can fix himself up and take back him pride or he can slap her to feel better. There are good intentions there. It might've not been the best way to go about it since there are better options but it is the way of the horse, though. Do what you think is right and don't conform to a certain code. Al

Matt jumped slightly when Drake yelled. "Alright, Alright, i was just checking since you were crying and all." He said with a slight shrug before retreating back away from the drama and went back to his book in the corner.

Evangeline sighed and looked at everyone, "That wasn't something that needed to be made such a big deal out of..."
Sighing she dusted her skirt and went off as well, looking back at the dragon just to make sure once more that they were alright and then looked at the horse to check if she was alright. Happy with what she had found she headed off to go find someone to talk to.

Fea couldn't deny how annoyed she was. Why did everyone have to make a big deal out of it? Holli could tone down that attitude and learn a little bit of humility. Was it really that hard to say you're sorry? And Drake, why couldn't he stop trying to act tough? He was just a kid, of course getting hit in the gut was going to hurt, no shame in that.
But she was thankful for Matt. To her, he seemed sensible and smart, never started a fuss and understood the importance of privacy. She wished Drake wouldn't yell at him, it was very unnecessary.
Fea let out a sigh and patted Drake on the head; knowing it would just anger him more. "Yea yea tough guy. I'm sure that bruise on your stomach will tell a different story," she smiled at him. At least he tried to be strong sometimes, instead of just acting. "I'll get you some water and you just take a seat. Then we can all stop bothering you. Sound good?"

Seeing the older ones step and try to resolve the issue was nice. Lily decided to stop coloring when her picture was completed. Involving herself with their problem wouldn't help much anyway. She hummed to herself as she colored a picture of a tree with a blue sky and birds. Green, brown, blue, red and yellow made up her picture. The crayons she was drawing with weren't used very much, as they still had their sharp tips. Hearing Evangeline, Lily turned in her seat and glanced at her. Could she really be wanting friends and not enemies? What if some of our issues can't be solved? The little dog wondered as she put her arms across the back of the chair.

"All of you are idiots," Hiroko mumbled from under her blankets.
She had blocked out the end of the fight, other than Holli's comment. She didn't like arguments or fights of any kind. They were useless. They resolved nothing. And most of the time they were over the tiniest things. Throughout the time Hiroko was avoiding hearing what they were saying, she was wondering where the rabbit was.

Hibine peered up from the book he was reading. He had watched the beginning of the scuffle but buried his ears into his hair to block out the noise. He was reading a book about tigers, the animal he represented. He had never been outside this village, never seen things other children saw, books were an escape for him - even though he wasn't really fond of books. Hibine always watched his fellow zodiac play together, just like the animal he represented - he prefered to be solitary. But there were plenty of times where he felt left out, and joined in. Wriggling his white furry feline ears free from his messy hair, he focused back on reading his book, changing his sitting position on the rather comfy chair he was sitting on.
