Z30: The New Order [Power Rangers -Adult]

Screw it, I decided to make a Power Rangers Rp that would consist of an adulterated world (Not as drastic as Avi Arad's short film) but with realism and a darker approach than most power ranger interpretations. And instead of following Mighty Morphin saga, I wanted to discover and expand on the Zeo Crystals from the 2nd installment. These crystals (and whomever finds them) will of course become that designated power ranger, leading to a long time abandoned hidden fortress, where they will discover Alpha 5.1 and a rebooted Zordon. The rest is history...

Synopsis: It's been nearly a decade since the infamous Power Rangers have dropped from the face of the Earth. Conspiracy theorists, fans, now grown 90s kids, and even the government that once knew of the renowned heroes are left to speculation and confusion as to the whereabouts of the missing rangers. Among the covert world of the old rangers, someone...or something begins to target the ole members as a few close deaths revolving around some members begin to surface. For five unassuming citizens of Earth however, they will be tossed into a fantastical world of new frontiers...but with the face of a much darker and more brooding world. Upon finding strange crystals, they are led together in fate as they must band together to stop a secret and impending darkness.

As GM I will reserve the Pink Ranger, the other four five are up for grabs by anyone! Unfortunately I would prefer this rp is 18+ only because of suggestive themes and adult situations. If this rp blows up big enough, then there could be cause to recruit more rpers and GM's for an expanded universe such as Beetleborgs and possibly even Kamen Riders all in the same universe ^_^

Bio:
Jo-Jo was born in Angel Grove, California of the great old USA. She was raised in both sides of the masculine and feminine aspects of childhood, with her father being a former cop and providing much needed spoiling of her, and her mother being a chief nurse at the Angel Grove Medical Center, but ironically being the one providing tough love and stern discipline. She was a bit of a tomboy, but also a skimpy and giddy female while young. She often read comics her dad had stored away since he was a kid, and loved to be outdoors always, going on fishing trips, hikes, and camping with her father. She was also an advent fan of The Power Rangers, a group of unknown beings that were chosen to protect Earth from the mysterious threats of foreign knowledge from places unknown. Like every kid, she dreamed of meeting the power rangers, and even being one someday. That is until they disappeared when she was 11, never to be seen of heard from again, her parents simply told her their time here must've been up, but no public reason has even been speculated to this day.

This sparked Jo to study the annals of human culture and behavior, possibly and hopefully one day finding a link to the whereabouts and mystery of the power rangers. Also, her Anthropologic knowledge gives her great interest in human psychology, anatomy, sociology, and customs. She wants to use this learned knowledge to hopefully make advancements in the human world, be it technology, biological, or intellectual developments, but deep on the back of her brain lies another cause, to find the group once prized to this great nation. Now she's a Junior in college and swims for the Cal Golden Bears, sifting through life with an adulterated sense of things now. That is until her Fall Break, when she returns home to discover a shocking discovery, one that will change her forever.

Bio: Kau'i was born in Hawaii on the island of Molokai, the only child of a Doctor and her surfer husband. He was raised with a firm belief that gender roles are irrelevant and only limit what people believe they can do, as such he took Hula classes as well as Fire Dancing and martial arts. He had always been androgynous in the way he acted, never too feminine nor masculine. His mother and father took full advantage of this, butting him in several different activities from sewing and knitting to football and swimming. It was when he had turned 11, that his parents had moved them to California, where they have remained.

Kau'i had remained in Martial arts after they had moved and had shown a large interest in studying Psychology. After being accepted into Berkeley as a Psychology major, Kau'i is now a sophomore as well as a Barista and Server at his cousin's Cafe

Bio:
Yuna was born in Seoul, South Korea, and lived there with her parents for ten years before her parents immigrated to the United states. Her father was a fairly well known University professor during her youth, and her mother was the curator at a prestigious historical museum. As such, during her childhood she had a rather "high society" upbringing and lifestyle.

Yuna took up the violin at a young age to appease her parents, as once she began to develop her tastes, she didn't much care for many of the more artsy hobbies. In truth, she wanted to learn martial arts, study war and philosophy, and above all just be one with the crowd. So, her mother agreed to ease up a bit and let her study martial arts as long as she didn't seek trouble and took a hobby of her choosing. In this case violin.

Yuna grew to be very down to Earth, although she could be a bit superficial at times. She became fairly popular during middle school and high school, but became somewhat secluded and absorbed in her work when her mother died. Although she admired the mysterious Power Rangers when she was young, it wasn't until her mother's murder that she became fascinated with them. In truth, she was angry that they had vanished when they had, and insisted if they had been around she wouldn't have died.

Of coure, Yuna knew this mindset was foolish and even childish, but she couldn't help it. She sank into a brief depression, but manages to overcome it through time, friends, alcohol, and meditation. Soon enough, her world is going to be flipped upside down again, and with any luck, this time, it will be for the better.

Extras:

Tàijíquán, a more accurate name for the fairly well known Tai Chi style of martial arts is an internal martial art designed as a means of self defense and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This martial art focuses primary on "soft" methods, but does teach some "hard" principles as well.

The primary focus of this martial art is to avoid meeting brute force with brute force, and thus emphasizes circular movements and diverting force and momentum away from the practitioner. As such, it is widely used as a defensive martial art, making it ideal for self defense.

Dimitri Prencetti, more commonly known as Duke or the Duke, is an Italian-American originally from Houston, Texas. Dimitri spent his life as a privileged youth due to his grandparents and subsequently his parents success in the medical field, having partial ownership in a series of pharmaceutical companies and even filling chairs on the boards of several large hospitals nationwide. At the ripe age of twenty-four, Dimitri stands a solid five-foot-nine and weighs an equally solid hundred and fifty-six pounds of primarily muscle. Dimitri attained his moniker from the first initial of his actual name and his notoriety as a conceited "rich boy", often partying and partaking in several illegal activities that slide by due to his elite status. However, this attitude is primarily an outlet for his frustrations. Dimitri is often considered the "runt" of his generation as he is overshadowed by his brother, whom is taking their fathers' spot in the family business, and his younger brother, whom is an autistic savant on piano. Dimitri is more naturally introverted and is shamefully in state of self-pity and guilt due to his placement as the overlooked middle child. Dimitri has felt this way since his youth as well, leading him to grow up with a duplicitous and somewhat secretive personality regarding what he thinks, feels and believes. His ability to socialize, ie make friends, manipulate and influence others as well as even become the "life-of-the-party" is a developed one, however, it is the ability that most commonly outwardly defines how others perceive Dimitri, including his close friends and parents. For a short period of his life, Dimitri was essentially cut off from his family funds. It took but a mere few months for him to realize life without the luxury he had became accustomed to was not one he enjoyed. Dimitri was forced to essentially "play by the rules" of his family, and thus has been floating around for several years, acting as if he is sojourning for his purpose and what he feels like he can really do for his family. The truth is, he has no idea what he wants to do nor has any inclination as to what "ought" to do. Dimitri has jumped between menial jobs and shadowing sessions while drawing on his parents' fortune, primarily within the medical network established by his long-reaching family. As of late, he has taken up residence in a larger hospital in California while interning there under the department of his uncle, whom acts as a chairman for the hospital. The work is menial, the results are trivial and Dimitri intends to milk it for as long as he can.​

He created his personality as "The Duke" as a coping mechanism to deal with the fact that he never feels like he measures up to his siblings. He enjoys the competitive nature of games and the feeling of victory for the same reasons. If I created a history for him, it would essentially just be a long narrative that lead to him being in California, where he was living the big life with his family money under the precept of an internship at a hospital his uncle was the chairman of. I put a lot of thought into the construction of this character, but I just don't wanna fluff out what you should have a firm handle on.​

  - Notable hand-eye coordination and strategy; picked up from his ample time spent on video games
  - A very fast learner; living in the shadow of both of his brothers pushed him through several skills he picked up, but never mastered; these skills were still above average.
  

I do intend on leaving out the bulk of his history because for the most part, it is just him searching for a "place" because he never felt like he belonged. He didn't stand out like either of his brothers and he went through several phases just trying to find himself. He created his personality as "The Duke" as a coping mechanism to deal with the fact that he never feels like he measures up to his siblings. He enjoys the competitive nature of games and the feeling of victory for the same reasons. If I created a history for him, it would essentially just be a long narrative that lead to him being in California, where he was living the big life with his family money under the precept of an internship at a hospital his uncle was the chairman of. I put a lot of thought into the construction of this character, but I just don't wanna fluff out what you should have a firm handle on.​

Not seeing the quality of a leader lol...this should be interesting.

Well I actually like it, it opposes the "brave valiant" stereotype, to have an actual human that's stepping up to the plate to try to join with four others. Might be some butting heads in character, but eventually they will all be best friends. Oh and for the story my character is on college break and on her way back to Angel Grove, I seen some of you put you attend her college as well...so if you want a friendship or some type of acquaintance let me know!
