"Cosette-chan, reporting!"

Name:
Cosette Lanoir

Other Names:
Alchemeister COSMIC☆COSMOS

Occult Society

Gender:

Female.

Age:
12

Real Age:
That's a very, very good question.

Grade:
Middle School
1st year

Birthday:
7 July

Species:
Human

Genre:
Mahou Shoujo

Series Name:
Alchemeister [Insert Protagonist Here]

Height:
1.42 metres

Description:
Cosette is near flat and curveless in appearance. Her usual school uniform consists of the base uniform and black thighhighs. Her blonde hair - which is indeed blonde in-universe too - is long and wavy, and her purplish blue eyes shine through.

As COSMIC☆COSMOS, her outfit is as depicted below - patterned with a wide variety of stars, galaxies and nebulas that continue to shift around. She carries with her a witch hat, that goes against the 'Mahou Shoujo, not Witch' rule, signifying her rebellious ways.

Personality:

History:
The first part of her history is obscured by GM request.

Cosette - the mysterious.
As COSMIC☆COSMOS, (Insert Main Character Here) doesn't know her motives, beyond having a strong desire to win the Great Azoth War.

The Great Azoth War is a war where a thousand girls in Japan are selected by a being referred to as the Great Alchemy God, and granted the powers of Alchemy. These girls are known as Alchemeisters. The power of Azoth surges through their bodies, and when one girl harvests the Azoth of all the other girls, she will have enough Azoth to create the Philosopher's Stone, which is said to grant the wish of the one who created it.

Those who lose all their Azoth will lose all memory related to the Great Azoth War.

Cosette is determined to win this war, as such, she has aggresively fought numerous Alchemeisters to rise to the top, draining all their Azoth as she goes. She even breaks the not-so-established policy at times - to not kill another Alchemeister. She has slain two Alchemeisters previously out of pure desperation for being unwilling to lose the war. She has almost killed (Main Character) a few times.

Today, she transfers to Hanazawa Co-Ed School, after hearing word of (Main Character) being here.

Equipment:
COSMIC☆COSMOS possesses a glowing staff she calls Fantine. It has special properties that fuels her Alchemeister capabilities, and is required for transformation.

Abilities:
There are four main elements - or rather - there is a fifth - Aether. Aether is said to be what makes stars and celestial bodies. As COSMIC☆COSMOS, Cosette possesses the ability to manipulate Aether, as well as use it as a catalyst to transform matter into celestial substances required to form small stars and planets.

The manipulation of Aether is an odd art that allows the user to perform feats that are out of this world. The basic feats involve creating small stars and creating weapons from Aether. As Cosette is more advanced, she can create and control wormholes for teleportation, create a planetary orbit around herself and even generate a black hole.

In addition to this, she possesses other abilities such as Space Survivability.

Default abilities of Alchemeisters include levitation, Green Lantern-tier speed and 'Alchemeister Cloaking' to hide themselves from civilians. While low-tier alchemy is an additional ability from the start, COSMIC☆COSMOS is able to convert any matter to the fifth element - Aether. No other Alchemeister can do this, and COSMIC☆COSMOS is the only Alchemeister capable of manipulating Aether. This, however, requires some extent of contact.

Low-tier alchemy is an easy feat for her. Low tier alchemy involves converting metals to metals, and nonmetals to nonmetals. For compounds, each atom is taken into account. For solids, liquids and gases, conversions into different kinds of matter must retain their state at the same temperature. For instance, solid wood cannot be transformed into oxygen, and water cannot become sand. This rule does not apply to metals, where copper can be easily transmutated into mercury at this level.

High-tier alchemy overcomes this, where wood can be transformed into air. However, metals must remain metals, and nonmetals remain nonmetals.

While it is common for high-tier Alchemeisters to master turning other metals into gold, she can turn even non-metal items into platinum, which is an even higher tier altogether. With enough concentration, she can create solid weapons from thin air.

Alchemeisters use 'Azoth' to increase their maximum possible stamina, feats and endurance. 'Azoth' can only be transferred from one Alchemeister to another.

Skills:
All Alchemeisters are imbued with the knowledge of alchemy.
Cosette has enhanced cooking abilities.

Companions:
N/A

Reasons for joining club:
Disclosed by GM

Voice Actor:

Counterpart Requirements:
Must have the title 'Alchemeister' in place of where 'Mahou Shoujo' would usually be.
Must be a Japanese girl.
This counterpart has to be in the same class as Cosette, and by extension Akira.
Must have a background as a regular girl who recently acquired her Mahou Shoujo abilities(Maximum one year ago)
Must have an Alchemy-themed motif(preferably the Metal Lion that eats the sun in order to parallel my night-themed motif, but you decide)

Other Information:
Cosette's abilities and motif are a nod to how Astrology and Alchemy were studied side by side.
She will be introduced in classic Mahou Shoujo rival fashion - as a late transfer student.
She is in the same class as Akizuki Akira.

Name:
Trauciel Hilbred

Other Names:
Trau (pronounced "trow")

Occult Society

Gender:
Female

Age:
17

Real Age:
20

Species:
Ghost

Grade:
N/A

Birthday:
February 2nd

Genre:
Supernatural

Series Name:
Symphony of a Distraught Ghost

Description:
While she stands at 1.67 metres tall, Trauciel is virtually weightless (on account of being a ghost). Having left her physical body behind, Trau chooses to don the outfit of a maestro as a ghost. Her hair is white and her skin pale - the only outlying factor to all this blandness being her deep red eyes. She's a B, but pays no mind that fact, as it means little to her anyway.

Personality:
Trau is a very self-confident person, to the point of being overestimating of her own abilities (even though her physical combat skills are almost nil). She keeps to herself, but won't mind butting into things just to show how sassy and overbearing she can be. The poltergeist isn't really one to help others, and is known to only do so in return for payment or so someone owes her a favor later on. The girl is relatively calm in a fight, but can get a bit crazy if someone actually manages to "push her hard enough against the wall".

History:
Trauciel Hilbred was born to a well off family full of renowned individuals. Her father was an artist and her mother was a musician. They raised her to be proficient in both talents, but she much preferred the flute over the brush. Unfortunately, this would eventually lead to problems with her elder sister, Karicia Hilbred.

Although she was born first and had practiced music for far longer, Karicia faltered in comparison to Trauciel. Both had their eyes on becoming musicians. Their father, who wanted Trauciel to take up the brush with him, put much stress on Karicia to become a better musician so Trauciel would give up the flute and join his side as an artist. Much to his dismay, Karicia could never catch up to Trauciel.

Becoming enraged at how easily things came to her superior sibling, along with the stress coming from her father, Karicia's behavior became more and more reckless. On the day that a piano was being delivered to their house for Trau's 17th birthday, the 20-year-old mustered all the strength she could and pushed the piano (which had wheels on the legs) out of the music room window, where it fell on top of Trauciel, who was petting the family cat (who luckily escaped injury).

Trauciel died upon being crushed by the piano, and her worldly goals and regrets kept her tethered to the world as a ghost. At her funeral, her sister, who was grief-stricken over what her actions had caused, placed a hand puppet with her sister in the coffin before she was buried, along with her favorite flute.

Unhappy with her death, Trauciel donned her current maestro outfit and decided to mess with aspiring musicians who were following their dreams. This didn't start right away, but began simply as an urge while watching other musicians succeed past the point where her hopes were crushed, literally. After a year of suffering, she broke and began torturing musicians, starting with her sister, who, despite her causing her death, was following through with her desires to make a name for herself in music. Using her transforming conducting baton (her former favorite flute) to play horrifying symphonies, and her hand puppet (which allowed her to interact with physical objects and people), Trauciel drew her sister to madness until she ultimately killed herself (leading Trau to garner another skill).

After causing the death of her sister, Trau didn't stop there. She continued to haunt musicians, leading many of them to death, and eventually grew to love the experience and treat it as a game. Her range would soon increase, until she was targeting not only musicians, but other talented people as well. She'd decided that her success would be in their failure.

Unbeknownst to her, there are people who can actually see and combat poltergeists such as herself. Her first encounter with one nearly ended up in her being erased from existence from being caught off guard, but she was able to fight back using her baton magic and her hand puppet. Future encounters would all too easily end the same way - with her adversary laying in a puddle of their own blood and her triumphing over them, laughing as she relished in her "success".

Her actions soon warranted attention from an elite group of ghosts, who asked her to take in a job for them - to locate and capture a girl that was viewed as having extraordinary spiritual power. It was rumored that she was attending a school, which Trau was happy to go along with. Schools meant talented people, and many opportunities for her to further her "success".

Equipment:
A conducting baton that can transform into various musical instruments and a hand puppet with a mind of its own.

Abilities:
Lullaby - Trau plays a song that puts all who hear it to sleep. How long it takes depends on the person's will, and it can range anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes.

Trance - Trau plays a song that puts all who hear it into a trance, making them dazed and confused for a short time. Like Lullaby, how long it takes for the effect to take place depends on the person. In addition to taking a certain amount of time to take effect, it also wears off after a period of time. This period of time is also dependent on the person.

Hand Puppet - Using her hand puppet, Trau is able to interact with the physical world. She can use this to attack people with objects such as knives, along with anything else she sees it useful for.

Invisibility - As a ghost, only people with heightened spiritual sense can see her.

Daydream Orchestra - This ability allows Trau to play a large array of tunes at a time, making it sound like an orchestra. The ability works on one person at a time and causes a great echoing of distorted music in the person's head, causing their head to ache, and possibly become confused or disoriented. It is during this time that Trau will launch an attack. Unfortunately, this ability takes a while to set up before it can be used.

Nightmare Symphony - This ability is much like Daydream Orchestra, but it may only be used on sleeping targets (usually followed up after Lullaby). This one, however, causes mental damage and can leave a target scarred. Music like an orchestra is played as the sleeping target is pulled into a world where they are forced to watch all of their worst nightmares play before their eyes. This ability takes a while to set up but can be used for as long as the target is sleeping (though the trauma usually causes them to wake up).

Double Note - This ability allows Trau's baton to transform into a clone of herself which resembles her elder sister. This clone also wields a hand puppet much like Trau (only on the opposite hand), and can use it to fight. If the clone is hit with any form of spiritual energy, it dissipates instantly. Another downside to this is that Trau is unable to use any other abilities while the baton is a clone. As such, she usually uses other abilities first before using this.

Skills:
As a ghost, Trau can levitate and permeate physical objects. Other than that, she can cook and has amazing musical talent.

Companions:
Her baton clone and her hand puppet, named Sebbie.

Reasons for joining club:
On a mission to capture the girl who is said to possess extraordinary spiritual power. That, and to further her "success".

Voice Actor:
Asami Shimoda

Counterpart Requirements:
In Trau's world, ghosts are the only supernatural entities that journey about. Her counterpart for the Hero's Club would have to be someone that is in pursuit of putting her spirit to rest. The practice of putting ghosts to rest in her canon story is much like it would be elsewhere - to resolve whatever it is that is keeping her attached to the world. Ghosts are not commonly acknowledged in her world, as only some people possess the ability to see them. Items to be used against ghosts are those commonly noted in Japanese mythology.

Other Information: While the hand puppet only becomes physical while in direct contact with something physical, if it should be burned with fire in this state to the point of incineration, Trauciel would cease to exist.

Other Names:

Occult Society

Gender:
"I take the form of a young maiden. But am I a young maiden? Am I even young, or a maiden? My current form is an illusion, but our experiences are not."

Age:
12

Real Age:
"Why do you wish to know?"

Grade:
Middle School
1st Year

Birthday:
"The eighth day of the eighth month... that is the day of the blood moon..."

Species:
"Only I know the true answer..."

Description:
The image depicted is how she sees herself. Akira is a mere 1.3 metres tall. She is as depicted above, except tinier and flatter, plus she only wears the dress on particular occasions such as most club meetings, which is a lot. Other than that, she wears her school uniform.

Personality:
Akira has what is known as 'chuunibyou'. If you don't already know what it is, well... let's just say she's got a lot of imagination, especially for someone who developed it a couple years early. She believes that everyone in the Occult Club has joined to play along, or in her words, 'join her'. She is slightly naive and oblivious to things. However, she has a lot more confidence and energy than her sister, and will probably last longer than the other members, insisting on persisting to find what she wishes to.
She is, after all, a girl going through puberty. Go figure.

History:
Chuunibyou - what is it? What secrets does it have?
Akizuki Akira is a girl who developed chuunibyou two years early. Two years early means two more years of fun, or an early grow-out. As a result, she does not have many friends who wish to hang around her, practically being quite a loner.
In order to negate this fate, she created the Occult Society with hopes to attract followers who share an interest with her. She is unaware of these followers' true intentions...

Equipment:
A simple gothic lolita-style umbrella.
The Gilded Grimoire
A bunch of tarot cards
Occult Society Stuff

Abilities:
"You do not wish to see my true potential... Wahaha~!"

Skills:
She has great skill in (possibly fake) occultic readings, scooping out rumours and such. We don't know if it's real or fake, but she can occasionally be seen giving tarot card readings and fortune telling. The coincidences that occur are too coincidental to be fake.

Companions:
She often carries an alligator plushie named <THE GAPING MAWS> Pseudo Bahamut, or just Bahamut. Akira always introduces Bahamut as Bahamut, claiming that the little guy 'isn't very fond of his full title'. If you're close to Akira, she will tell you that Bahamut is actually the son of the original Bahamut. It wears sunglasses, a beanie, and a sweater...
... let's go with this guy. He's kind of small enough to fit into a bag. At most 15 centimetres from snout to tail.

6SpfGxg.png

You may often see this snaky little fellow around the clubroom. Meet <HEAVEN'S TRAITOR> Samael the Toxic, or just 'Sammy', as he likes to be called. Akira claims that Sammy is a fallen angel who has taken to form of a venomous viper. It certainly seems that way and there is zero reason to doubt these words.
A single metre from snout to tail, this little guy wears a scarf around his neck.

Reasons for joining club:
She didn't join it. She made it.

Voice Actor:
Uchida Maaya

Other Information:
"It is I who should be hailed... worship me! Wahaha~"
If you manage to peep up her skirt, you'll see that she wears plain white boxers as opposed to bloomers or panties.

Name:
Akizuki Akane

Hero Club

Gender:
Female.

Age:
15

Real Age:
15

Grade:
High School
Year 1

Birthday:
24 December

Species:
Human

Description:
Akane stands at 1.65 metres tall. She has a bust size of about a C. She is mildly tanned and her hair is blonde in hue. No one has bothered to ask if those are natural hues. Maybe they do but she just changes the topic.
Her white socks appear to be a little loose, sagging in a 'kogaru'-like fashion.
She might wear her circular glasses out of habit, but when you point them out, they'll be removed.

Personality:
Akane is a plain jane, a regular girl who is on the quest for popularity. She has always blended with the background, but in reality, she's very bubbly and cheery. She tries her best to emit an aura of charisma, even if she fails to hit the right notes at times. Her friendly and hospitable nature is said to warm the hearts of others. She is a little too forgiving, some may say.
Her kindness is sometimes said to be a weakness, and at times, it might contradict her quest for popularity. This puts her at crossroads at times.

History:
Akizuki Akane is just a regular ordinary girl who wishes to be popular. Previously, she was just a girl in twinbraids and circular glasses, but now she has attempted to evolve in order to become more popular. Such attempts were either short-lived or an utter failure.
Upon hearing that her little sister would be attending the school, she thought that this was a good opportunity to set a good example for the kid. As such, the Hero Club was born from the very depths of her mind and soul!
Unfortunately for Akane, her little sister didn't join her club, and as expected, made another.
Today, she waits for new members, as the start of a new era dawns upon all.

Equipment:
None for the time being. If anything, she can buy pepper spray.

Abilities:
Who knows?

Skills:
She can cook, clean, and all that, much like a housewife. Or a big sister.
She has basic self-defense skills.
Her charisma is pretty great.

Name
: Mayumi Uehara

Hero Club

Gender: Female.

Age: 16

Grade: Second year of highschool.

Birthday: August 17th

Species: Human.

Genre: Horror

Series Name: Sunset

Height: 1.5 meters

Description: Mayumi is a largely unintimidating individual, when it comes to physicals. She's flat-chested, short, and seemingly weak at first glance. The only hint to the fact that this is untrue is the perpetual frown she wears.

Personality: Mayumi is a poster child for PTSD. She is reluctant to form new friendships, paranoid about just about everything, very cold towards even those she doesn't outright push away, and simply inexpressive about what she feels. Those she does befriend, she's actually even worse towards, to the point that she is even 'jokingly' physically violent towards them. She is, at her core though, a very kind person, willing to give her life for those she cares about.

The only people she is overtly affectionate to are her surviving family members, especially her younger sister, Nami.

Her pet peeves include: People being excessively narcissistic or having pity parties, stupid arguments, and people being very emotional.

Unfortunately, she is utterly incapable of functioning outside of studies and combat without guidance, leaving her helpless when it comes to everyday life.

History: Mayumi has always been a very calculating person, bent on the safety of her family, extended and otherwise. Her time at the school has always made her nervous about the threat that might face them. That fear eventually became realized when her uncle was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his home. His death greatly distressed and frightened Mayumi, as she was the one to discover him. Over the course of the next few weeks, more and more of her family members cropped up killed in increasingly horrifying ways, until she was left with her immediate family and a handful of other members.
Taking up arms, Mayumi desperately sought to end the life of the killer. The two have clashed more than once, but she has not succeeded as of yet.

Equipment: Mayumi usually carries a glock and a switchblade. She feels naked when she doesn't have them.

Skills:

Firearm skill: Though she lacks traditional training, Mayumi has grown to be a crack shot.

Hand-to-hand combat: In contrast to her size and apparent weakness, she is a very skilled combatant. Not due to any sort of training, but rather because she is willing to fight extremely dirty. Biting, clawing, stabbing, she'll do anything to win. Her small size and surprising speed makes her hard to pin down, as well.

Intellect: Mayumi is a skilled tactician and gifted student.

Reasons for joining club: She wants to protect the families of others and (secretly) wants to make friends.

Voice Actor: Yoko Hikasa

Counterpart Requirements: Just a serial killer complex.

Tokisaki_Ren.png

Name: Endzeiten Acht Sein Kaiser VII
Other Names: Tokisaki Ren (real name)

Member of the Hero Club

Gender: Male
Age: For 72,000 years, I have walked this Earth, long awaiting the day in which Ragnarok comes and all becomes null.
Real Age: 16 years old
Grade: 2 (high school)
Birthday: 19 December

Species: 108th descendant of Salomonis Rexum, the darkest of all Demon Kings Human who just happens to have demonic powers
Genre: Fantasy (of the VN-esque variety)
Series Name: Majustsushiou no Grimoire (Grimoire of the Magician King)

Height: 1.70m
Description: Ren tends to wear a lot of layers, even in warm seasons. He has a very particular white cardigan which he will wear all-year-round. He actually has three of them, because he likes the design. He also wears white socks, even in his school uniform.
Personality:
Tokisaki Ren acts outwardly much like your typical chuunibyou sufferer: delusions of grandeur? Check. Tendency to make long, rambling speeches? Check again. Exaggerates into absurd fiction even the most mundane of things? Yep. Speaks in bizarre, fantastic terms? Oh, boy. Wrapping a bandage around his right hand? Not yet, give it time.

Unlike a certain Club President, however, it's all an act. Exactly why it is can be found in his History.
He can't use it to hide anymore, but he does generally keep it up, thus allowing people around him to rationalise him picking up the phone and rambling on about High Demons, Inquisitions, and other crazy things as simply because he's kind of crazy.

In reality, he's pretty embarrassed about having to do it, and is actually a fairly quiet, bookish guy underneath his frankly incredible acting. Caught out of the act, he's reasonably meek and polite, always trying his best to be considerate to make up for all the crap he puts everyone through in his chuuni meta-persona. It's become a bad habit, and he's taken to simply helping everyone he sees having the slightest bit of difficulty with anything, which is likely how the phenomenon known as the Tokisaki Faction came to be.

He secretly enjoys the creativity playing chuuni allows him to flourish though, so he's probably exactly the kind of person who could get along famously with that certain Club President.

History:
Tokisaki Ren is an Ordinary High School Student™, which naturally means that, five years ago, his entire family was slaughtered by the High Demon Glasya-Labolas right in front of him. He was last on the list, which should have made it easy.
And yet, somehow, Tokisaki Ren only mostly died, his body absorbing Glasya-Labolas entirely to survive.
It seemed at first like nothing more than a bizarre, miraculous twist of fate, and yet over time, he realised that he had taken not only the demon's life force, but his powers as well.

Since this is extremely awesome and he damn well knew it, he began to play it up for all it was worth in the form of extreme chuunibyou.
Well, partly that, and partly because now he had powers, he had to play the role of a total moron who couldn't possibly have taken down the great Glasya-Labolas. What better guise for one with great powers than that of one who is deluded into thinking they have it?

His powers, however, grew stronger with age, and he soon found himself face to face with a foreign transfer student; a girl named Amy Kagi, else known as Amy, the 58th High Demon. The pair began as mortal enemies, but over time, found themselves having to grudgingly work together more and more to fend off other High Demons, angels, and a demon-hunting magician guild called the Gothic Inquisition, all of whom mobilised as a result of either Ren's presence or as a reaction to the increasingly large and significant gathering of magical entities and magic-users that can no longer be ignored within the masqueraded world of magicians. Each of these factions ended up vying for power against each other, and in the chaos of this three-sided war, Tokisaki Ren ended up working with and saving people he never thought he would even interact with, and so the independent "Tokisaki faction" was slowly born.

Currently, he is taking a break from a massive battle with the angel Iczihiha, whose schemes had been manipulating all of the sides involved, and so his death caused a large shockwave that has temporarily stopped everyone involved in this Demon War in their tracks*.
(*Translation: Majustsushiou no Grimoire has just finished its first season.)

Equipment: N/A

Abilities:
Glasya-Labolas - An inherent ability from the demon of the same name that Ren accidentally absorbed. When invoked, it allows the recreation of all magic that Ren himself has seen and understands. This, so far, has given him the following abilities:
 • limited prescience - Allows for sight up to ten seconds into the future.
 • regenerating from non-fatal wounds - Takes a few hours but prevents him from succumbing to them once the process begins.
 • power nullification - Requires physical contact with the ability and conscious preparation to use it (not too complex, think pulling the hammer back on a revolver), but can't work on things built to last. So neutralising magical projectiles or personal shields are fine, but just erasing high-tier castle-protecting force fields from existence are a no-go.
 • telekinesis - There seems to be no weight restriction on what he can move, but the higher the mass of an object, the slower it will move, and he can only move what he can see.
 • teleempathy - Can sense emotions telepathically, but not their causes. He has learned that he can use this in a substantially more useful way, however: it allows him to sense presences from afar, and sometimes can even discern whether they are friend or foe based on their emotions.
He also has a large fraction of the physical capabilities; such as speed, strength, and durability; of Glasya-Labolas. With Glasya-Labolas being a high-ranking demon, this is kind of a big deal, allowing him to lift 300 metric tonnes and moving as fast as a fighter jet. Despite having the powers of a magical entity, Ren does not have an elemental affinity, as he is still a human.

Eldritch Magic - Somehow, Ren absorbed a High Demon and obtained his powers without even knowing what was happening at 11 years old. It's an unsolved mystery as to what exactly did this, but it is definitely something ancient and very dark indeed. He can't use it at will, although it will sometimes randomly show up to save his life. Besides absorbing Glasya-Labolas, it has appeared once in the past five years when Iczihiha tore off one of Ren's arms, resulting in the magic coming forth in the form of OH DEAR GOD ARMS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE THAT WHY.

Skills: Ren is a decently-talented writer and artist, although for some reason he can't paint to save his life. He's brilliant at problem-solving and "outside the box" thinking, which is probably why he's been able to copy as many kinds of magic as he has. His special household skill is DIY. He's also a very good actor, but is awful at doing voices. In terms of combat, Ren learned how to fight the hard way (read: getting his ass kicked repeatedly) and while not exactly a martial artist, he's capable of holding his own in a street fight, and not just because of his superhuman physical ability, which can come as a surprise given his slight, almost scrawny build.

Companions:
"Companions", in this case, is a fairly strong word. However, the Tokisaki Faction is around 25 members strong, with a general tendency to be "exceptions", whether that means being incredibly strong, incredibly weak, or having non-standard magic and powers (by the standards of Majustushiou no Grimoire, at any rate).
They probably won't appear much, as they haven't joined either of the clubs, but notable members are as follows:
Amy, 58th High Demon
Avi2gMv.jpg
Amy is under the guise of a foreign transfer student from England, which is to explain quite how she seems to have so much money. She's generally conscientious and overly serious, but has her girlish interests (specifically, she likes to make stuffed animals). If the Tokisaki Faction had a manager, it would likely be her, as her organisational and micromanaging skills are unmatched. If there is someone that can be considered her rival, Dante is probably that person.

She has a magic named Ars Astra that allows her to cast small "orbital bombardments" (read: laser beams from the sky) based on star positioning. Ren can't get his head around it. She also wields a pair of cursed swords which are durable enough to allow her to go toe-to-toe with other High Demons with them, with one holding the "fire and brimstone" aspect of Hell and the other holding the "frozen over" aspect of Hell. Because her elemental affinity is fire, she is better at using the former.

By the way, contrary to what one would expect from the First Girl of a fantasy anime, Amy has very little interest in Ren at all. She's around 3500 years old, and so sees him as someone who, while not strictly a child per se, is certainly not an adult and has a significant amount of maturing to do before she would even consider looking at him in that way. If anything, she can be considered his mentor, which is reflected in the "-sensei" honorific attached to her throughout the Tokisaki Faction.

Liliel
PkXk9nK.jpg
Liliel is an anxious young angel whose defining feature is a complete lack of pride and self-confidence, apparently stemming from her complex about a deformed right wing. This lack of drive means she never took the opportunity to become strong, despite natural talent. She lost the ability to use her right wing in an accident when she was cursed by a certain ancient Magician King a few dozen years after she was first born, and thus her ability to fly was lost with it. This sudden sealing of her most important ability, combined with mocking from her peers, drove her into a state of social anxiety, and despite her amazing potential, that was also lost when she eventually became the divine equivalent a shut-in for centuries.

She joined the Tokisaki Faction when Ren saved her from the Gothic Inquisition, who had captured her and was using her incredible mana output to power the Inquisitors' magic. Since then, she has begun to recover slowly, but her background means that she doesn't have much to offer the Faction.

Her abilities consist of blasting concentrated mana to destroy things, having no skill in many other applications for it, although she has a natural affinity for healing. Her only usable magic is a form of teleempathy named Heart Reading. Her elemental affinity is air, but she can't use any air magic.

Kuroma Shizuo
wknvaBO.jpg
Shizuo used to be the youngest member of the Gothic Inquisition's Draconis Corps, a wide-eyed idealist who believed almost religiously in the Inquisition and its values. His first field mission, however, was the assassination of Tokisaki Ren. He, uh, failed.

After that, the two encountered each other several times, but each time under circumstances that forced them to team up against stronger foes. It wasn't long until Ren won him over, but his wholehearted alliegance to the Inquisition forced them to remain enemies, albeit enemies on good terms. It wasn't long, however, before other Inquisitors found out and turned on him, citing that he was fraternising with demons and branding him a heretic. The Tokisaki Faction took him in, and with nothing holding him back, Shizuo happily joined them. He still upholds his beliefs that the Inquisition can be redeemed, and takes its core tenets to heart, believing in individuality for humans, but accepts that desperate times call for desperate measures.

Shizuo's magic comes from an heirloom in his family: an amulet that summons a spectral dragon known as Ascalon. He lacks the sufficient mana to sustain the entire dragon, however, and so only summons parts of it for a few moments at a time. Because this doesn't give Ren the chance to analyse it, he can't replicate the summoning of Ascalon (although Amy theorises that with Glasya-Labolas's abilities, he would have the necessary mana to sustain its whole body). As a human, he doesn't have an elemental affinity.

Rheun
dPYu9Qq.jpg
Nobody really has a clue as to quite just who or what the hell Rheun is, including herself. She's a kind girl, but unfortunately a total klutz with little knowledge of how the world works. She isn't stupid, but anyone who has trouble grasping what basic elements of everyday life, such as "shopping", "waking up at this time", or even "eating and drinking" are is bound to be perceived as an idiot.

Rheun simply suddenly appeared one day, knowing nothing, and so the Tokisaki Faction had to take her in to look after her. Unfortunately, this only made them a bigger target, as Rheun ended up being extremely valuable: despite having no knowledge or power, Rheun seemed to have no mana at all, making her a figurative "magical black hole". Since this phenomenon was unheard of in living things, she was automatically singled out for everything between interrogation and dissection, and so the Tokisaki Faction had to fight to secure her safety. It is now basically accepted that Rheun is affiliated with them.

Since Rheun has no mana, she can't use magic even if she tries, and it doesn't mean that her presence interferes with magic either. However, she does appear to be totally immortal, emerging basically unharmed by magic from Lord Inquisitors, High Demons, and Archangels alike. Her invulnerability appears to stretch to her mental self too; while she's rather weak-willed, it's apparently impossible to affect her mind in any permanent way, as even extremely heavy brainwashing has proved to not last more than a few hours. She seems to have an elemental affinity of some kind, but it would be most accurate to say her affinity is "void" rather than an element.

Caelestis "Ciel" Dante
Wf8j5pG.jpg
Caelestis Dante (or, as her friends call her, Ciel) is a genius descended directly from Durante degli Alighieri, the Supreme Poet, one of the few Magician Kings spread out throughout history. The Magician King Dante is considered responsible for revolutionising many fields of magic, and Caelestis is set on doing the same by combining magic and ultra-modern technology. She openly considers herself to be "the greatest magician alive", and this claim has yet to be disproven.

Dante gained notoriety very early in her career, testing her magi-tech weaponry on the divine beings which punished her ancestor for working so closely with demons, and so gained the moniker "Angel Killer Dante". Upon hearing of the Demon War, she took to searching for Tokisaki Ren, the nigh-unstoppable prodigy magician who had absorbed a High Demon as a mere child, out of curiosity more than anything. Despite how this great magician had garnered several individuals to his side and defeated multiple High Demons and Archangels, she was rather astonished to find an extravagant but rather unimpressive and uneducated Tokisaki Ren at the end of her search. Ren himself was rather surprised, as he had learned that the Angel Killer Dante was out for him, but had expected a grizzled, veteran-like man and not a young girl. She didn't have any real stake in the Demon War, and tried to leave, but was ambushed by several Archangels at once. Naturally, the Tokisaki Faction stepped in, and so gained a new member.

Dante is highly skilled in almost every area of magic, but usually arms herself with her magical-technological weapons platform 「LEVIATHAN」. It is an extremely advanced powered suit that is capable of matching even High Demons in raw destructive power, with each individual component being magically augmented. Despite her power, she is still a full human, and so has no elemental affinity.

Yoshida Hiroshi
fdaZsVm.jpg
The general consensus on Yoshida Hiroshi by those outside the Demon War is that he's an average magician without much special talent to write home about. He is barely acquainted with the magical world except through his childhood friend Shizuo, but he doesn't seem that interested anyway. He came to the Tokisaki Faction on Shizuo's request, mostly as the latter didn't trust the Gothic Inquisition to not try to use him in some way.

As it turned out, however, that there was far more to him than ever met the eye. Hiroshi is a nephalem, a child of an angel and a demon, and that means that he was ironically targeted the most by everyone but the Inquisition (although being half-demon meant that there are a lot of Inquisitors who are still interested). However, everyone has different ideas on what to actually do with him; some argue he would be a valuable asset, others argue he is far too dangerous to let live.

Hiroshi has basic knowledge of some earth magic as it corresponds to his elemental affinity, but his own magic is known as Truth Sight, which allows him to discern the nature of something so long as he sees it unobscured. Ren has tried to come up with theories on how this works, but none hold up in the face of scrutiny, so he can't use it.

Beleth, 13th High Demon
rea3DPZ.jpg
Beleth is as much a member of the Tokisaki Faction as she is one of its enemies. She is by no means a permanent asset, or even an asset at all, as her appearances are completely unpredictable, consisting of her randomly showing up to either help or hinder them, depending on the occasion. She acts much like an incredibly haughty ojou-sama, but this isn't entirely unwarranted given her incredible power.

Originally a minor demon who worked her way up to the rank of High Demon, she is immensely strong, even among her peers. She describes herself as "a maiden of Hell, of The Garden, and of disobedience to that imbecile Baal as and when it suits me". She clearly has her own agenda, taking advantage of the Demon War to fulfil it, but that doesn't make her actions make any more sense.

Her elemental affinity is water, but she generally uses massively devastating lightning magic. Her personal magic is called Nohestan Burning, which allows her to summon and control numerous giant serpents, all of which are apparently immortal. Their venom ignites the mana in the victim's body, causing them to die almost instantly with no chance of healing, as even restorative magic will only fuel the fire. Despite this, she seems incredibly reluctant at the thought of coming face-to-face with Alrich Jäger, despite the two having yet to meet, and implies that he would still survive even Nohestan's bite. Exactly why this is, Ren has no idea, so he can't use it.

Reasons for joining club: It is so rare to see another so capable of understanding and taking solace in the true magnitude of this world, in its abominable flaws, in death itself.
Translation:
He took one look at the name "Tainted Bible" and immediately assumed she had something to do with the Demon War, noticed a few parallels between the Occult Club and the Hero Club, and thus reluctantly agreed to Amy's suggestion that he had better get in on this.

VA: Satoshi Hino doing his best Norio Wakamoto impression.
Counterpart Requirements: Counterpart needs to possess some kind of magical ability, and be either an angel, High Demon, or magician. In the case of the latter, affiliation with the Gothic Inquisition is optional, but they will need some reason to hunt demons (or at least hapless magicians who absorb them for no adequately explained reason).

Other Information:
 • Newsflash: Glasya-Labolas is a High Demon; a literal Lord of Hell. He's not so pathetically weak that he can simply be randomly absorbed by an 11-year-old child, even with Eldritch Magic. There is potential for him to re-emerge as a split personality for Ren, and it has been confirmed that, left unchecked, he will eventually assimilate his new vessel entirely.
 • He has run into Uehara Nami a few times, and is pretty disappointed that he can't even seem normal enough to make friends with such a friendly-seeming first-year girl.
 • He's on surprisingly good terms with the Student Council President due to his tendency to occasionally drop by and help out, albeit, regrettably, only for my own ulterior motives.

Name: Inquisitor Alrich Jäger.

Other Names: Known amongst his prey as "The Undying Hunter."

Occult Society

Gender
: Male

Age: 17

Real Age: 103

Grade: Third year of highschool.

Birthday: June 13th

Species: Magically enhanced human/Lich.

Genre: Fantasy.

Series Name: Majustsushiou no Grimoire (Grimoire of the Magician King)

Height: 1.74 meters

Description: Alrich is a rather intimidating figure. His rigid posture yet usually insane, threatening smile give off a very murder-y vibe when people look at him. He is unkempt and doesn't seem to care about his appearance, usually wearing a hoodie and blue jeans regardless of the weather.

Personality: Alrich is insane, skilled, and has a god complex. This is a deadly combination. With no qualms about killing any sort of demon or those that would help them, he has garnered a reputation as being a sadistic, merciless killer, being unafraid to do anything, even targeting innocent civilians, to get his prey. That being said, off the job, Alrich isn't so bad. Sure, he's a little weird (and crazy), but he knows how to switch off and separate his passion from his everyday life. When not hunting, Aldrich likes to read romance novels and play video games. He enjoys the company of others and is rarely alone. He is a completely different person than when he is hunting.

History: Alrich's origin is, as of yet, unknown to those who follow Majustsushiou no Grimoire. He is a mysterious and frightening figure hellbent on Ren's destruction. What has been revealed by Alrich to Ren is limited, but telling. An unknown number of years earlier, a section of the Inquisition was attempting to make soldiers that could better bring down demons. The still young and naive Alrich happily volunteered to serve his leaders and friends, being a fresh recruit to the organization from the church.

Tapping into a dark magic the Inquisition would never admit to using, Alrich was cursed, amplifying his physical abilities and making him nearly immortal, but putting him through so much pain that it effectively shattered his mind. Since then, he has become the Inquisition's best and most feared hunter. Unfortunately, the extended period of time he's been alive, the horrible pain of the transformation process left him an insane child with nothing to do but attempt to hurt others to make them feel like he does.

Ren has become a favored prey of his because of his bizarre nature. Throughout his hunt of the demon inside of the boy, he has intentionally been very cruel to anyone Ren reveals he is close to. He clearly wants to hurt Ren. Badly. He played an important role in the battle with the angel Iczihiha. Though he supported neither side, Alrich was actively hunting Ren during this battle, making progress difficult. He stepped out when the actual battle between the two began.

Equipment: Alrich carries a small dagger underneath his coat at all times.

Abilities:

Longevity/Regeneration: Alrich has been alive for over a century and hasn't aged a day since he was transformed. He is extremely hard to kill, as he has demonstrated the ability to regrow limbs and close injuries in a matter of moments. The only reliable way to keep him down is to separate the head from the body, and, even then, that just leaves a very angry head staring at you and occasionally cursing.

Enhanced Physical Attributes: Amped in every way, he is a prime physical specimen. He is capable of outrunning cars, capable of out lifting a professional athlete, and capable of dodging things he shouldn't be able to. Perhaps his most enhanced ability is his reflexes. Alrich is capable of effortlessly dodging a bullet, and, as such, is difficult to pin down for slower opponents. His senses are also enhanced, making him extremely difficult to surprise or otherwise hide from.

Pain Tolerance: Alrich has become so numb to the sensation of physical pain that he has never overtly expressed pain during his encounters with Rin, going so far as to grin when his arm was ripped off, only to have it grow back moments later.

Tötlich Transformation: When in dire straits, Alrich can amp himself further by changing into what appears to be a Lich. He has only ever done this once, and that was against Ren. In this form, he has limited magical capabilities, is extremely durable, and has physical attributes far outclassing peak humans. This ability is extremely taxing, however.

Extreme Mana Pool: For a human, Alrich's mana pool is immense. This allows him to sustain his powers for an extended period.

Skills: Alrich is a pro-gamer. He is currently not contracted and searching for a team. He is also gifted at drawing and making things. He is also a skilled leader, if a cruel one with no regard for the lives of his men.

His fighting style revolves around the use of his pain tolerance and regeneration to intimidate foes into submission or fleeing the field. It is devastatingly effective against grunts and weaker-willed individuals.

Companions: Alrich has no steady companions, though he commands a significant portion of Inquisition forces, his aged mind and skilled leadership making him a trusted member. That being said, being assigned to him, especially as one of his upper ranking followers, is widely believed to be a death sentence, as he has time and time again demonstrated a willingness to use even people that regard him as a friend as cannon fodder without even batting an eye.

Currently, he is searching for a new second, as he killed his last one because she was annoying him.

Reasons for joining club: To unwind from the stresses of the job amongst company he can agree with and respect.

Name: Kashima Kiyoko
Other Names: "Kiyo-tan", "The Onryou Killer", "Vampire"

Occult Society

Gender:
Female

Age: 13
Real Age: Ambiguous
Grade: 1 (middle school)
Birthday: February 29

Species: Human, if you can even call her that anymore

Genre: Horror
Series Name: Sunset

Height: 1.51 metres
Description: Kiyoko is an adorable little girl with way too much hair, to the point where it will often obscure a lot of her face.

Personality:
Kiyoko is very sweet, constantly pushing herself to earn the affection of Akira-chan and of her various senpais. Her naturally cheery demeanour can cheer up even the gloomiest of souls... for a while. After an hour with her, one might feel refreshed. After a day, one would likely feel happy, but drained. After a week, the dissonance begins to kick in.

Because Kiyoko is happy a lot. She smiles when she plays. She smiles when she talks. She smiles when she studies. She smiles when she eats. She smiles when she sleeps. She smiles when she wins. She smiles when she loses. She smiles when she watches movies that she's probably too young to. She smiles when she studies dissections for science class. She smiles when she paints in her favourite red.

But she smiles the most when she plays with Mayumi-senpai.

Mayumi-senpai is her favourite. Mayumi-senpai always really appreciates her hard work she puts into all her surprises. Mayumi-senpai's whole family are fun to play with. Mayumi-senpai makes the best funny faces. Mayumi-senpai always waits for her. Mayumi-senpai keeps her company, even after dark. Mayumi-senpai gives her lots of attention. Mayumi-senpai even got some grown-up toys to play with her with. Mayumi-senpai shares her own surprises with her. Mayumi-senpai is so pretty, even when she cries. Mayumi-senpai will play with her for as long as she wants.

History:
Kiyoko doesn't remember much from before Mayumi-senpai. Her family had friends come over one day, who showed her how grown-ups play. Kiyoko had always thought that the blood meant it hurt, but maybe that was only if there was a little bit of blood. It was like how only getting to play your favourite game a little bit made you sad because you had to finish early. Yes, it was definitely fun if there was a lot. She surprised the two friends, but they got bored after that, so she did some finger-painting instead. Mommy was good at drawing stars, and showed her how to do it once, so she did that. She did it a lot. She filled the whole room with lots and lots of stars.
At sunset, she learned to do some new things. She could touch things without touching them, and go through doors that were walls. It was kind of confusing and made her head ache a bit, but she learned how to do it.
She went out to play every sunset that there was no moon out, because that was when the stars were red and she could practice her new tricks to surprise people.
She lost track of time pretty soon. Days didn't feel like they meant anything anymore. Years would pass, but she never grew taller. Sometimes the years went backwards. Sometimes they started over. The whole world was kind of weird and blurry and didn't make a lot of sense.

But one day, she saw her.
Mayumi-senpai looked so sad, so Kiyoko watched her to make sure she was okay. Mayumi-senpai was always looking out for bad things. It was okay though, because those things were fun, not bad. Honestly, Mayumi-senpai, if you're so careful about not having fun, no wonder you're stressed.
So she showed Mayumi-senpai how much fun she could have. She played with Mayumi-senpai's uncle a lot until Mayumi-senpai came in. Mayumi-senpai's squeal of excitement was the best. Mayumi-senpai was the most wonderful person she had ever played with. She didn't want it to end.

So it didn't.

And so every new moon, at sunset, the red stars come out, and Kiyo-tan and Mayumi-senpai play and play throughout the night.

And it is such fun.

Equipment: N/A

Abilities:
Blood Moon - Kiyoko is, physically and mentally, a thirteen-year-old child, albeit one who is a little... twisted. What makes her dangerous, however, is her knowledge of exactly how to execute ritual sacrifice. By killing, she can store up these sacrifices, invoking one to become unstoppably powerful for a single night, capable of bending reality to her twisted whims, provided that the phase of the moon is the same as the one she killed that sacrifice on.

Ineluctability - Her constant usage of these blood sacrifices have rendered her not-quite-human, and has slightly become one with the powers she uses. This means that while, as a thirteen-year-old girl, she can be killed quite easily, her powers still exist. If killed under the Blood Moon, the killer can expect to find her around the next corner. This will keep up until the end of the Blood Moon, making escaping her impossible. Fortunately, she can be killed like anyone else when the Blood Moon is over. So long as she has no sacrifices stored up, she has no power left either. But so long as she has even one, 29 days later, at sunset, she will come back. She will always come back, because Mayumi-senpai would be sad alone.

Skills: She's a killer at ping-pong. *rimshot*

Companions: Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai Mayumi-senpai

His birth name is Hayato Mizushima, the last name belonging to his father, though it has since been legally changed.

Real Age

19 years old

High School, Second Year

Birthday

Species

Human

Genre

Supernatural

Series Name

Symphony of a Distraught Ghost

Height

170 cm

Description

He's often seen with a scar running across a lip, and though some might think that the scar is a result of a fight, it's actually just him and his bad habit of peeling his lips. He also weighs around 66 kg.

Personality

A self-proclaimed "low functioning sociopath," Hayato is a bit of an oddball, and certainly not the typical "hero" of the ages. He isn't exactly a nice person, but he's not necessarily mean or even evil at all either. He just has little grasp on emotions, which is why he generally just isn't very emotive at all either. Feelings like great happiness, sadness, anger, guilt, and so on are above him. In fact, some around him have even (half-jokingly, but also half-seriously) called him "emotionally dead," though Hayato is very much alive, despite how indifferent he might otherwise come off as. Quite the contrast to a ghost with a disproportionately lively personality if one could say so.

Oftentimes, he is unable to emphasize with others. While he is capable of "understanding" and "processing" the emotions of others to the point where he can mimic them and fool even himself at times that he can "feel," he continues to yearn for something "genuine," whether he realizes it or not. He believes himself to be unfit to be a hero, but tries regardless in hopes of bringing purpose to his life.

That is not to say that he does not have his own passions or motivations, but he expresses them in... pretty odd ways.

In the end though, you'll know him best when you see him for yourself. Or something.

History

Born to an absent father who was always gone, to the point where Hayato recalled only meeting him once as a child, and a mother who often worked hard to support her family while her husband would occasionally send money from wherever he was, Hayato grew up somewhat isolated and lonely. With little to no friends that he really had as a child, his mother initially thought little of it when Hayato would often be seen talking to an imaginary friend, though it wasn't until a few instances of glass vases breaking (that Hayato would blame on his so-called imaginary friend) and his repeated insisting that it was real that his mother would realize that what she was dealing with was a spirit, much to her surprise.

It was then that the young boy would meet his uncle on his father's side, generally considered a strange quack whom no one really knew what he did for a living, who would tell the boy of the family's inherited ability of being able to interact with spirits who remained in this world, whom he referred to as "those who cannot move on." After introducing the child to the world of spirits, educating him on the workings of the soul, the afterlife, and elements of mythology, as well as even convincing Hayato to help the spirit whom he had been accustomed to referring to as a harmless imaginary friend move on, Hayato's uncle became the boy's mentor and took him in as a sort of amateur exorcist, or to put it crudely, a "ghost whisperer." Though Hayato never seemed terribly passionate about the notion, he went with it regardless, knowing that his so-called "gift" couldn't be helped, and because he wanted to see if he'd be able to learn anything about his father from spending enough time with his uncle as an ulterior motive. This desire to find out more would only grow stronger when his father would eventually stop sending home money altogether, and little did the boy know at the time that he would never hear from him ever again.

Eventually, after some more time had passed with no word from his father, when Hayato had become a teenager, the news would eventually be broken to him that his father had died two years prior, the incident having been kept a secret from him by his uncle and mother, who believed he had to wait until he was older to know. It was then that Hayato's uncle had also revealed that the ability of an acute supernatural sense was a hereditary one that most members in the boy's family on the father's side acquired at birth, and that his father, who found that he was unable to comfortably settle down and live a normal life with his family, lived his life as a sort of "ghost detective" in rough terms, tracking down and exorcising vengeful spirits for a living in more superstitious places in the world. More than that, his father had died attempting to exorcise a spirit, whom he had considered to be "exceptionally difficult to deal with," a fact that he had noted to his brother while writing to him in secret. In the last letter that he had ever sent, he noted that the name of the ghost he was dealing with was named Trauciel.

Since then, Hayato had set out to look for "Trauciel" himself, despite his lack of experience and the protests from his family. He wasn't so much motivated by revenge or anything, but rather, because he felt like the two of them meeting was something like "destiny," though a little less corny than that. He couldn't explain it very well, and perhaps even he didn't understand it very much himself, but he knew that he'd be able to find the answers if he were to meet the spirit known as "Trauciel" and put her to rest.

Equipment

Carries around a good amount of weird stuff, which he says is for dealing with all sorts of spirits, such as an onyx necklace, an omamari that he attaches to his bag, and so on. For all the anti-spirit memorabilia that he might have, people might call him superstitious, but he just carries what he believes will be effective.

Abilities

Has a potent spiritual awareness that allows him to more easily sense apparitions such as ghosts like Trau. He is also fairly athletic for what it's worth.

Skills

Cooking - He's gotta make food to, y'know, live, so he does. While other people might find it fun to cook for another reason to pick it up, Hayato's only reason is really because of the necessity for food. He doesn't exactly find it "fun." He just does it. And then he got really good at it by complete accident.

Piano - In contrast, what he does find relatively fun is playing the piano. He practices playing it fairly often, as it helps him relax and collect his thoughts. However, he has yet to fully express his emotions through music, as they have yet to reach his fingertips.

Video games - Everyone... needs a hobby. No comment. If nothing else, video games and piano are what makes his fingers swift and keeps his mind sharp, if that really meant anything in day to day life.

Reasons for joining club

In order to find Trau and put her spirit to rest. And 'cause he felt like it or something like that.

Voice Actor

Kenji Nojima

Other Information

As mentioned above, he has a bad habit of peeling at his lips. Also, it's really hard to get him to smile, though if there's anything he's rather fond, it's sweets.

Lastly, I feel awkward doing this by myself but if the rules say so, then whatever:

Description:
Nami's appearance completely contradicts her. She gives off an aura of child-like elegance and sweetness, and is already popular with boys despite her age. If it were not for her general difference in atmosphere, she could very well pass for Mayumi.

Personality:
In surprising contrast to her appearance, Nami is rarely proper with anyone besides her parents and teachers. She is nowhere near as naive as a girl her age should be, and has both a sharp wit and a sharp tongue. Even alchemical demigods aren't spared by her precocious sarcasm. She's certainly got mixed feelings about becoming a magical girl in the first place, and constantly demonstrates her genre-savviness time after time.

Despite this, she is kind, and doesn't believe in evil while placing her trust in justice. The contradiction there doesn't seem to occur to her. She is goodhearted to the point where she considers even her archnemesis COSMIC☆COSMOS a friend, albeit a misguided one who really needs some sense beaten into her.

History:
Nami reasons that the Uehara family is probably cursed. First her uncle, and then aunts and grandparents and cousins followed, dying one by one in increasingly horrifying ways. Her mom and dad were horrified, but passed it off as coincidence, but her big sister Mayumi would never be the same. Everyone expected Nami to suffer the most, but astonishingly, while she was definitely changed, she barely suffered at all. She managed to avoid succumbing to the trauma of her family's curse in a very simple yet tried-and-true tactic: escapism.
Behold the most adorable otaku you will see in your life. And so, after surviving two years of otakudom without becoming a shut-in, she was chosen four months ago to become an Alchemeister for the Great Azoth War by Apollo, the Lion of the Sun.

Unfortunately, Apollo screwed up.

Not only did he manage to turn himself into a stuffed toy in the empowerment ritual, but Uehara Nami became far, far weaker than she had any right to be. Struck hard with the fate of being an "ordinary magical girl", she quickly realised that this Mahou Shoujo business was not all it was cracked up to be.

Fortunately, her almost unique background of being an otaku Alchemeister has given her a huge advantage, as she has been able to see various tropes and clichés coming a mile off, and even thwarting some of her opponents in this way by seeing through their abilities. This has convinced a few of the more superstitious participants of the Great Azoth War that she has psychic powers of some sort, and many suspect that she's definitely holding back if she is that weak and yet that competent.

Oh, how she wishes that were true.

Equipment:
LUMINOUS•LIONHEART possesses a metal telescope-like rod that can expand into a staff. Exactly what metal it's made from depends on what Nami has it transformed into at the moment. It can focus and mold her Azoth into appropriate shapes for numerous applications, and is required for transformation. Nami is "not exactly sure what a magical girl is supposed to do with this thing that's not even a weapon", so she simply dubbed it "Bouenkyou-kun" and left it at that.

Abilities:
Alchemy - As if to compensate for her prodigous rival's incredible powers over all five elements, LUMINOUS•LIONHEART can use exactly none. She can transmute metals from one to another, like all Alchemeisters, but all other kinds of alchemy are lost to her, forcing her to, more often than not, resort to smacking her opponents with a titanium telescope. Fortunately, alchemy-boosted physical capabilities mean that that isn't completely useless. Regardless, if COSMIC☆COSMOS's unique power of the element of Aether means that she can be considered the strongest Alchemeister, then LUMINOUS•LIONHEART is undoubtedly the weakest.

Azoth Manipulation - LIONHEART is capable of using pure Azoth by itself, which, as the purest energy used in alchemy, cannot be blocked or resisted by any kind of alchemy. She can utilise it to create shields, fire beams, and heal herself. It also absolutely sucks, as while an ordinary Alchemeister may be able to expend "5 Azoth" to perform a transmutation for an attack to "deal 1000 damage", LIONHEART's Azoth moves can only "convert Azoth to damage", meaning "5 Azoth" will only "deal 5 damage".

Elixir Vitae - LUMINOUS•LIONHEART can heal herself with Azoth, and has grown quite efficient at doing so since she has had to do it a lot. Perhaps, in fact, too efficient. In one particular duel against COSMIC☆COSMOS, Nami was injured to the point of near-death and so released almost all of her Azoth into her body at once to heal. Not only did this succeed, but the Azoth seemed to reach a "critical mass", creating a tiny grain of a Philosopher's Stone.
It is not even close to enough to grant any kind of wish, but it's easily sufficient to transform Nami's whole body into an "alchemical reactor" which, if the average Alchemeister holds "100 units of Azoth", produces around "50,000 units of Pseudo-Azoth" every second. This Pseudo-Azoth cannot be used for alchemy, including the creation of the Philosopher's Stone, and disperses as quickly as it is created, but it can be used in its pure form for... well, exactly what she usually uses Azoth for.
In the fashion of true animu-alchemy, it requires an Engrish incantation to activate: "The Red Lion, the Green Lion, the Mouth of Choleric beware. Here is the last of the Red, and the beginning to put away the dead."

Skills:
Nami actually knows a lot about alchemy, even for an Alchemeister, mostly due to her weakness very quickly simplifying her situation to "study or die". On top of that, she knows a lot of trivia, ranging from occult to historical to scientific, from various pointlessly edgy anime and video games. This allows her to especially savvy concerning this whole Alchemeister thing.

Companions:
ZqK6L3P.jpg
Apollo (also known by Nami as "Poro-kun" when she feels like belittling him), the Green Lion of the Sun, one of the most powerful servants of the Great Alchemy God in charge of moderating the Great Azoth War, who accidentally transmuted himself into a plushie; a transformation which was accompanied by the mother of all nerfs. Nobody really knows how such a powerful alchemical being could mess up so badly.

Reasons for joining club:
Her sister did it, so she probably should. This is probably a recipe for disaster, but... *sigh* At least she'll get to help some people out while she's at it. What could possibly go wrong?

Voice Actor: Ueda Kana

Other Information:
Her Elixir Vitae form is a reference to the metaphor of the green lion who devours the sun and is purified to gold.
She is in the same class as Akizuki Akira.
She's run into Tokisaki Ren a couple of times, but tries to avoid him and his weirdness at all opportunities.
She is keeping her identity as LUMINOUS•LIONHEART a secret from her sister, and in turn is unaware that Mayumi is hunting the Onryou Killer.
Her wish for the Philosopher's Stone is to fix the mess her family has become, but is savvy enough that she is focused on trying to find out more about the culprit and purpose for the Great Azoth War before trying to win it, having learned from her otaku hobbies to be wary of potential Kyubeys.

Name: Hajime Ishikawa

Hero Club

Gender
: Male

Age: 16

Grade: Second year of highschool.

Birthday: October 19th

Species: Human.

Genre: Shonen

Series Name: Kōya de Ushinawa (Lost in the Wilderness)

Height: 2 Meters (He's very tall.)

Description: The first thing people usually notice about Hajime is that he is very tall. Very, very tall. In fact, that's usually all people notice when they see him. He has black hair and blue eyes, though, and is decently built, with an almost omnipresent, cocky smirk usually spread across his face.

Personality: Hajime is the definition of a reluctant hero. He wants nothing ore than to make quick money and settle down in a nice little cottage in the middle of nowhere for the rest of his life. That being said, he frequently finds himself in situations where his conscience wins out, and he is more or less forced to help those around him. That doesn't mean he's happy about it, as he usually smarts off to those he helps survive the wilds of Akuma, though he's never gone further than that. In truth, Hajime is a very kind-hearted person, he's just got a lot of greed and selfishness fighting it.

History: The place Hajime comes from is not in a good way. There is no over-arching government, and traveling at all is extremely dangerous, especially through the humongous forest. Traveling brings risk of monsters, bandits, and other things. Left alone to survive in the wilds of the vicious country of Akuma, Hajime quickly learned how to fight from a very young age. It was a necessity. Throughout the last five years, he has regularly gone against things ranging from powerful monsters to other humans, and, worse, other sentient creatures. He has drastically increased in power since he was first introduced.

As of a year ago, he has since found his way out of the wilderness and is currently resting in one of the few pockets of civilization there are. He still frequently returns 'home,' though, looking for riches and usually just coming back with pilgrims and other travelers in tow. One might say he knew he wouldn't find anything but people he'd have to help, but Hajime would deny this fervently.

Though his opponents rarely walk away, one such individual has repeatedly troubled him as Hajime attempted to travel through the vicious wilderness of Akuma, and he's still unsure of why this person won't leave him be.

Equipment: N/A

Abilities: Hajime has no supernatural abilities, per se.

Super-strength: Hajime has, at base, enough lifting strength to effortlessly knock over large buildings.

Resiliency/Durability/Strength Conversion: Hajime isn't incredibly durable, actually. He can take a lot of punishment, but this is more due to his ability to shrug off the pain and press on. Another aspect of this is the fact that, similarly to Metal Bat, the more determined/damaged he is, the harder he fights, and the stronger he seems.

Incredible speed: Part of being crazy strong is having strong legs. Hajime can run several hundred miles per hour.

Skills: He's a skilled cook and gifted athlete (duh). That being said, he slacks on his studies a lot and is bad at making friends.

Reasons for joining club: Hajime, similarly to Mayumi, wants to make friends. Mayumi is more making a desperate cry for help, though, while Hajime is more idly thinking "Hey, some of these girls are kind of cute."

Voice Actor: Masakazu Morita

Counterpart Requirements: All his counterpart has to have is a reason to be in the forest of Akuma and a general desire to cause Hajime grief. The reason for both of these is at your discretion.
