Well, this probably doesn't fit the intent of the thread, but here goes:
I'm currently spending (not all at once, mind you, because I'm not made out of money) roughly $2900 (I *love* not having insurance! Simply love it!) per visit to the retina doc.
Last month, I learned I have something called Diabetic Retinopathy which was slowly destroying my eyesight.
So, despite the fact that it's putting me under a huge load of debt, seeing the world around me is well worth the expense.

Clothing...
Not that I often buy a lot of clothing. But if I'm going to be spending a lot on a jacket, pants, or a backpack. I'ma going to be making sure it's a dang good quality one so I don't have to buy a new one in 6 months.
