Premise:

It all started with an invitation. A multiversal fighting tournament where the first prize would be the opportunity to wish for anything you desired.

For some to be able to get anything they could dream of was too good to pass up, for others the opportunity to fight against new and exciting opponents was already worth the trip.

Once a fighter accepted the invitation they found themselves transported into a Colosseum like structure. The center was filled to the brim by fighters, too many to count.

That was how this story started.

This is how it ends.

From the hundreds of fighters only a few are left standing. They've done so by either pure skill or pure luck. The how doesn't matter, what does matter is that you are one of these warriors. Out of all that started you are this much closer for the title of the Ultimate Fighter and your heart's desire.

Heaven or Hell.

Hello and welcome to the sign-up thread to Xover! Like the premise explains this is a fighting game themed game where the goal is to be the last fighter left standing!


Character requirements:

The character that you rp as must have originated from a fighting game series. Which means no characters from crossover fighting games like Smash or Marvel vs Capcom.

Standard Iwaku rules apply.

Mechanics:


The actual tournament will work out that I randomly pick to players from the group. Once I've done that I will PM them to pick a number between 1 and a 100. The one closest to the random number I generate is the winner. From there the two players write out the fight and continue from there. This is to keep the tournament fair if say Dan Hibiki ends up against Morrigan Aensland.


Sign-ups will be going for a week and my goal is to not have the actual rp last longer than two weeks.

Biography: Parasoul is the princess of the Canopy Kingdom, which spreads over a large amount of territory, including New Meridian, where the Skull Heart has found itself. Seven years ago, when she was 18, Parasoul's father found himself in a devastating war with the other two great nations-the Chess Kingdom and the Gigan Nation. Her mother, Queen Nancy, wished for peace from the Skull Heart, and became the most powerful Skullgirl known to man. It did bring peace, however-as all three kingdoms had to put aside their differences to stop Nancy.

Now in charge of the Black Egrets and her little sister Umbrella, Parasoul works to be the leader that the Canopy Kingdom needs, especially now that the Skull Heart has returned, and to keep her family safe...no matter what the cost to herself.​

Biography:
In a futuristic world, conflict and strife once permeated its surface... And during one of its many globally spanning wars, a passenger plane was shot down, killing all onboard, except a young little girl, who by some miracle, remained unscathed. In the aftermath, as she grew up, it was discovered that she had mysterious powers, ones that defied the understanding of reality as the world once knew it. These powers, were known as "Tactical Sorcery", and though she was initially brought to a private research facility to study these abilities... The Government soon took interest in her.

After discovering that this "Tactical Sorcery" also granted her remarkable fighting abilities, the Government sought to exploit them, along with her powers, and forced her to undergo horrific human experiments, eventually causing her powers to run wild. This caused what was known as the "Astral Impact", causing a massive, magical shockwave, which bestowed the ability of "Tactical Sorcery" amongst many young girls, who eventually became known as "Vanguard Princesses", but Hilda herself, had disappeared.

It was only a year after peace finally began to descend upon the world, that Hilda returned... Claiming to be "Enforcer of Stellar Laws", she sought to destroy all of mankind, apparently having gone mad. Though her destructive rampage, was cut short when a Vanguard Princess, who happened to be her childhood friend, challenged her in battle and defeated her... Returning Hilda's sanity to her for a few, short moments, before she faded out of existence, along with her friend... Who had opted to stay by her side.

Yet, by some miracle... Just before they disappeared for good, Hilda happened to have received an invitation for a Multiversal Fighting tournament, allowing her a unique opportunity to wish for anything she desired. Realizing that this meant she could prevent her and Haruka from fading away... She didn't hesitate to accept this invitation.

But even so... It's hard to say if she will ultimately be able to get her wish...​

Originally second-in-line for the title of clan master within the Mugen Tenshin, Kasumi became nukenin, after she ran away from home in order to avenge her older brother, Hayate. She is also the half-sister and cousin of Ayane, and an acquaintance of the legendary ninja Ryu Hayabusa.

Shortly after the events of Dead or Alive 4 in which her quest had come to an end, with the safe recovery of her brother and the destruction of the evil DOATEC corporation that had orchestrated the sinister events behind the games, Kasumi enters this new mysterious tournament, reluctant yet admittedly enticed by the prospect of having a wish come true, with the only thing in her thoughts being the mending of her relationship with Ayane.​

Biography: Raised in the rural Tosa region of Japan, Makoto trained under her father along with her brother in Rindo-kan karate at their family dojo. After her father's passing and her brother's decision to become a businessman rather than becoming master, the dojo began to flounder and fall into disrepair as students left out of a belief that the family was done teaching. The task of revitalizing the dojo fell to the tomboy daughter of the previous master, and her plan to attract new students was simple; Makoto attended the World Warrior tournament hosted by S.I.N., hoping to earn the money needed to repair the karate school's building and to build up its reputation once again.

While treasuring her time fighting skilled opponents during the tournament and building up her credibility as a fighter, Makoto was unable to earn any money from fighting due to the destruction of S.I.N., leaving her to do the repair on the dojo herself. However, her dream of the dojo becoming a legendary place of learning and training still remains, and the chance to fight in a new tournament, whether to gain the illusive wish promised to the winner or to simply make a name for herself and her school, is one too good for Makoto to pass up.

In clearer moments, when the insanity of his ancient bane isn't fully in control, Spinal remembers snippets of his previous existence, before he was cursed, when he was human, feared, and rich….

Recruited by a scheming vizier in ancient Babylon, Spinal and his bandit network were hired to disrupt the city's flow of resources—one small move of the Vizier to lessen the King's power by constricting his wealth. The monarch proved too wise however, and the conspirators were rooted out, captured, and subjected to sorcery. Each was burdened with a curse that would unravel their bodies and minds in unique and diabolical ways.

Spinal was shackled to a powerful artifact of control: the Mask of the Ancients. This accursed veil turned Spinal into an unthinking arm of the King's will, bound to protect and serve the potentate, with no ability to question even the most suicidal of orders. The Mask did not prevent rebellious thoughts and free will; but it overrode any attempt to disobey the King's commands. After a time, the King grew bored with this torment and ordered Spinal to burn himself alive as a final rite of purification in penance for his crimes. Fearing that this punishment would backfire on him, the King ordered the wretch's remains sealed in a lead coffer and the Mask thrown into the sea.

Over centuries of isolation and imprisonment in that confined space, Spinal slowly gained control of his body, able to once again exert a will on his bones and form them back into a human skeleton. The cost on his undying mind, however, was grave; and most of what was the man was now burned away to insanity and unquenched desire for the Mask of the Ancients.

Many stories were told of the skeletal pirate and his dread galleon sinking vessels full of treasure and gold without ever looting a single coin—the demented marauder laughing with mad glee as he preyed on his victims. For Spinal had finally embraced his insanity…and he felt a primal joy as he wreaked havoc and chaos with rediscovered magicks. Even in death, Spinal felt alive.

After the events of Killer Instinct, Spinal overcame many challengers in the Killer Instinct tournament in order to achieve the Mask of the Ancients. He donned it with an insane glee, hoping to augment his power and spread pandemonium throughout the world. But he found the Mask's power had been utterly stripped.

Knowing there are greater powers at work, Spinal sets out to find what robbed his relic of its faculties, hoping to defeat that entity and absorb its might so that he can infect the world with a glorious and maniacal frenzy. His mad desire led him to 'acquire' an invitation to another mysterious tournament that promises Spinal the power he needs to embrace his new life of chaos to it's fullest potential.

Biography:
Hundreds of years ago, Linne and her brother Kuon were used in the Night Blade's human experiment to create new abilities. As a result Linne gained a power to transfer her consciousness from a body to another - making it possible for her to live eternally. In addition, if her host body gets killed then Linne's consciousness is automatically transferred to a new body. This how she has lived her life for several tens of bodies.

Linne didn't want to continue possessing and ruining the lives of unknown girls, so she searched for a way to end her eternal life. The answer Linne found was that a legendary sword called the Indulgence of Sever-Rending could rend her existence apart and end the curse she is bound to.​

Min Min was born in China seventeen years ago. Raised by a single mother, Min Min had to fight for survival due to her family's poor income. She grew up in a small neighborhood, and went to a rather large school.

Though, that all changed when she obtained her fighting arms, which are made of her favorite food: noodles! Also one can transform into a dragon.​

Once an innocent and simple girl, Lieselotte turns into the opposite of what she was in the past due to an "accident" caused by her, an "accident" that took the lives of her family. Emotionally scarred, she results with ridding herself of her memories and her emotions through the usage of her magic, which soon leads her into the life of an unforgiving assassin for hire. Out of comfort, she carries around a doll whom she calls "Elfriede," the name that belonged to her sister. During some point in her assassin works, she made contact with Gier, the Arcana of Shadows.

While Lieselotte had no initiative to accept the invitation to this tournament one day, the recent sightings of a person similar looking to her began popping up, and yet the more she approached it, the more it was shrouded in mystery. Wanting to fulfill her curiosity, the girl figured that she would use that chance at winning to obtain the information of the mysterious lookalike woman.​

Biography​

Cody broke out of prison after a riot ensued. During his travels, he met up with Edi. E (who is trying to recapture him), Rolento, and even Guy once more. Rolento wanted him to join his militant movement, which Cody refused after a heated argument (though it's unknown if they had actually fought). Guy, meanwhile, wanted to reform Cody and get him back on the good path, but Cody said that he was no hero and basically lived for fighting. The two then had their own battle but after the two calmed down, Guy accepted the fact that his friend had to live his own life. The two separated afterward when Guy asked if Cody would stay in Metro City, but Cody said he still had traveling to do. Guy bade him farewell, realizing that deep down inside, Cody is still a good person.

Apparently bored of prison life, Cody "casually" breaks out of prison. Telling the irritated guard that he'll be back soon enough, he ventures outside. While out, Cody sees a familiar face: his old friend and rival Guy, and the two spar. Cody's main motivation seems to be finding a way to alleviate his boredom by participating in S.I.N's tournament.

After defeating Seth, Guy confronts Cody again, assuming there's still a bit of good left in him, asking if he "vanquished a great evil" for the sake of what's right. While he doesn't directly deny it, Cody claims that he only did it because Seth was in his way, making Guy assume he has no intention of returning. When given the question, Cody states he'll be returning to his prison cell, where he belongs.

Biography
Everyone's got a dream, and Red's got a big one. She has aspirations of becoming a professional masked fighter and fighting her idol, Big Blue. To do this, Red's gotta train real hard and rise to the top. She's even gotten pretty far in that goal, but there's still more to go. She's the underdog who everyone seems to underestimate, but she's ready to prove them wrong.

There is just one problem: Red's grades from the previous semester of college have been lacking. She has the remainder of the year left to improve before graduating or else her parents will make her life a nightmare. They and her friends donʼt know she is the masked fighter, Honey Rose. She has to keep that part of her life secret as she takes care of her studies and maintains her relationships.

In joining this strange and crazy multiversal tournament, Red hopes to hold her own and earn the prize that will aid her in balancing her life.​
