Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters

Mahree laughed, moving to take a seat beside Vallerie. "I won't," she responded with a grin. "Well--that's great! You'll probably end up a favorite of Wolver--of our combat instructor. I always feel like I'm a disappointment," she said, with a bit of a self-depracating giggle. "Did you guys just get here this morning?"

E cocks his head to one side and grins.
“To be fair, you’ve heard my name; I’d rather no-one knew it if I could help it. That being said, the whole nicknames thing does make sense. Mutants generally aren’t he favourite flavour of the month, wherever in the world you might be.”

He and Kitty finally reach the front of the queue, and the rather appropriately named Beast hands him a portion of what they’re serving in the cafeteria. Some sort of pasta thing; doesn’t look half bad, either; E’s certainly had to eat worse in his time. Waiting for Kitty to grab her food as well, he glances around the room for a space.

Yet Logan’s theory of first day business seems to continue to hold up; pretty much all the seats are taken, with the exception of one table. E recognises one of the people sitting there, too. That chick who let loose the energy ball in the dorms.

Ah well, a seat is a seat.

Motioning to Kitty with his head towards the table, E ambles over to the table and flashes the people seated there a quick smile. “Mind if we pull up a pew? Everywhere else is packed to the brim.”

Vallerie stands up. "What didn't get enough electricy malfuctions yet? I do another electricity ball and clear the mess hall probalably 30 seconds flat." Laughs finally enjoying the fact she can talk about her mutant powers without anyone running for the hills. She can use her powers and not be called a freak. "I'm kidding. Of course you can sit here. Sorry again about earlier. If it hit you at least you would only get a minor shock." Sits down.

Mahree laughed a little shakily at Vallerie's first comment. One of the first lessons she had learned was that she had to be accepting if she wanted to be accepted in return. It had been a while since she had made a know-it-all or holier-than-thou comment about how someone should treat or talk about their abilities. That didn't mean that some mutants didn't make her uncomfortable, but she was still working on it. She smiled, taking the seat across from the girl and next to Anthony. "So," she started again, smiling at Vallerie. "What's your name?"

Logan decided Kitty might be best for this task, perhaps these others were too new. Sinister wasn't one to mess around with. Lightly pushing some students aside he strode up to her. " Kitty, you got a second? Gambit just checked it. Ole one eye says Sinister has been spotted. You up for some field action? Simple recon and intel gathering." He folded his large arms across his chest while he waited for her reply

Flashing the girl from the hallway a grateful smile, E pulls up a chair and places his food upon the table.
“Hey, no need to apologise. Accidents happen, and it’s not like you hit me.” He chuckles. “Fast reactions, and all that.” There’s several others sitting around the table as well; whether they are new students like him or returners like Kitty he can’t tell. Not that it matters; he gives them a nod and a smile from under his hood. “Nice to meet you all, by the way. I’m E.”

Meanwhile the grizzled-looking combat instructor, Logan, has drifted back over and is talking to Kitty. E listens in, the words ‘recon’ and ‘Sinister’ standing out quite abruptly amidst the conversations of students. Looking over to Kitty, he tilts his head in silent question.

Felicitas approached the table where the Girl with electricty had sat, they were a few other students with her and Felicitas was slightly nervous.

"Uhm. Hey, can I sit here?" Felicitas asked with looking directly at Vallerie.

Vallerie looks up to Felicitas and she nods. "Of course. I'm Vallerie by the way."

Kitty's long pony tail flipped as she walked; just as bouncy and lively as her personality. E had led her to a table of new students, greeting them with a charming smile and sitting down to learn everyone's names. "My name is Kitty, nice to meet you all" She chirped, watching as Vallerie joked about the lightning ball she had accidentally let off.
Her attention was suddenly grabbed away from the group as Logan found her with a couple dominant strides.

The gruff guy had asked her if she could help out with a mission, which was more than exciting enough!

"Well sure, I guess I can go, but you sure it's just for intel? Something about that doesn't feel right..." She looked over at E who was giving her a curious tilt of the head and then instantly back at Logan. "How many does he want? Just us?" Her index finger pointed back and forth between them, blushing slightly as she used the term to describe them.

Logan nodded and caught her meaning. A grin escaped him. Just intel huh? " if you had anything else in mind save it for when we're on the mission. He said I could pick and I need someone with experiance. So hurry up with your friends and meet me outside my room." Logan turned and headed to his room to start changing into his combat uniform. She made it pretty obvious there was more then friendship between them.

"Friends? Does he mean us. Please tell me he doesn't mean us." Vallerie suddenly gets nervous.

Seemingly out of nowhere people began flocking to their table as if it was the center of attention for the whole mess hall. Anthony just kept his head down as people made introductions. Once there was a lull in the exchanging of names and greetings he looked up and shyly said, "Hi. I'm Anthony," to no one in particular, not making direct eye contact with either of the two girls he had already met nor the guy and the two other girls that had just arrived. One of them was wearing some kind of strange, two-colored uniform and looked like she might be slightly older than the others, though it was hard to tell exactly how old. Anthony guessed she was either a senior student or an actual instructor just trying to get to know the new kids.

He looked over at Vallerie with a slightly bemused expression. "Wow. Wouldn't have guessed we'd become the popular table. Did you?"

They were then joined by a much older man, also in uniform, who began talking to the older girl who had said her name was Kitty. Anthony wasn't trying to really listen in on their conversation, not wanting to seem like a snoop, but he still managed to pick out the words "mission" and "intel". At the mention of gathering intelligence, he perked up a little before withdrawing back into himself once again as if he was afraid he might have shown too much interest in a conversation that didn't really have anything to do with him.

After a few moments, Anthony straightened up in his chair and his expression changed from one of apprehension to determination. Deciding he would at least say something to let them know he could be of use, he raised one gloved hand.

"Um... excuse me? I know I'm new here and all, but..." He breathed in as if he was trying to swallow his fear,"If you're trying to get information, I think I might be able to help."

Kitty simply nodded her head at Logan, turning to look back at the company of the table. She was about to speak up to answer Vallerie's question when the boy named Anthony spoke up. She shook her ponytail, looking into his eyes and sighing.

"I'm sorry Anthony, but it's against the rules for me to take any of you along on this. Logan and I could get into a whole mess of trouble if we allowed you to come with us..." She paused, as if remembering something that had happened in the past. "Besides, none of you have the training. It's best to keep you safe here." She smiled weakly, turning to look at E and nodded.

"We should be back soon enough. When we are, I will make sure to tell you all about it." With that she placed her hand on E's shoulder, standing up and stretching her arms over her head. Within moments she had turned to walk away, heading back to the wing that Logan's room was located.

In his room Logan grunted as he removed his boots. His shirt was next. Sinister huh genetic mad scientist. He was always obsessed with Scott and Gean, something about the perfect genetic match. Whatever, Logan thought, he won't be around here for long. He was glad Kitty was coming along. It had been awhile since he'd had any spare time with her. Now all he had to do was choose. The jeep or his bike? He grabbed his brown leather jacket and tossed it on the bed before continuing to undress

Kitty waited outside his room, leaning against the wall with her foot up to rest against the smooth bricks. She wondered why Logan had given her that look in the cafeteria. Did he think her was incinuating more than what she meant? Her long chestnut ponytail hung over her shoulder, resting against her chest as she finddled with her fingers, phasing them in and out of one another. Logan could have chosen anyone to go with him, but he asked her to go. It made her nervous. There was a reason their relationship hadn't worked out the first time...

When he was done he poked his head out the door. " hey cat you got a jacket? It's a small bike ride away." He didn't look at her with affection this time. As lonely as he was he figured he would accept it. He was an animal after all capable of going through the motions, but every time he tried something...deeper it failed. This was a mission she was a student. That's how it had to be

Roshan walked down the well forested roads that lead up to the Academy. It was oddly peaceful outside as she watched her surroundings for any signs of being followed. Pulling her jacket tighter around her, Roshan continued her walk until she came upon the gates. Sighing, she looked back and then back at the school. Roshan couldn't tell which was safer.

Corvo walked along the path that was well covored in forest. The crunch of pine cones and leaves were the only things that were heard as he walked. Corvo had a very hard time controlling powers. He has killed countless amounts of people since the day of his birthday. His mom was his first kill. The minute he came out, she died right there on her hospital bed. His dad hated him for most of his childhood for it, and harshly abused, neglected, and supressed him. He was kept in a basement for most of his life, and was forced to learn only through textbooks that was thrown to him by his dad. Corvo was locked in the basement since he was 5 being treated like an animal and was only given scraps of food to eat after each meal. It wasn't until he was 13 when he discovered his powers and realized how bad his dad was. After his dad had made his way to the basement to give him an actual meal which was only given to him on special occasions like his birthday, he had possessed his father that day and immediately killed him after being put in an orphanage. He spent his time trying to hone his powers, but instead killing many many people. He has just gotten out of jail due to some guy named Charles Xavier who bailed him out and put him into a school. Corvo thought this was too good to be true, so he decided to go check it out. He was escorted by a police car and now he's here, at the gates of the academy. Corvo was scared of nothing and he had cigar burns, whip scars, and hand-cuff marks to prove it.

Roshan stepped through the gates and suddenly felt vulnerable. Closing her eyes, she tried to calm down. No one was anywhere near her. She was just being a wuss because of her new surroundings. Frowning, she strolled up to the doors of the Academy; however, as she reached for the handle, Roshan felt apprehension and tension. Pushing past the feeling, she opened the door and walked into the foyer.

Vallerire smiles dispite not being able to go with Kitty. She makes another electricity ball under the table so no one sees it.
