Name:
Zakarye 'Zak' Mercedes

Alias:
Mecca

Citizenship:
Irish

Gender:
Male

Age:
19

Height:
6'2

Weight:
186lbs

Eyes:
One is binary green and the other is a light hazel colour.

Hair:
Zak has juts of chestnut brown hair that fall over his eyes when not gelled up.
It's soft to the eye but can feel brittle and wirey to touch.

Unusual Features:
Aside from the fact he has heterochromia, Zak has half of his face constructed out of an
aluminium alloy connecting circuits and memory banks to his human brain.
It effectively acts an external hard drive

Biography:
Zak's life was unpleasant exactly. At home he had a younger brother - Liam, an annoyance at the best of times - and his mum. She was aging badly, with grey hair and a slight hunch that signalled arthritis. As for his dad, he had been in the navy - a noble sea dog who had a passion for large boats and even larger guns. Sadly he lost his life defending his country in the Atlantic Ocean.

The loss of Zak's father wasn't recent. He'd been called up when Liam was four, six years ago. Since then, Zak became the man of the house, taking care of his mother while still refusing to tidy his room.

At the age of 15, Zak took a job at a garage, cleaning up after the mechanics. Whenever a new car came in, he could hear it's thoughts. The wheezing of their engines made his heart sink and the fact the mechanics just threw pieces together didn't help. So he decided that once his boss was out, he'd re-do the slap dash work. Eventually people began to notice the greater performance of their cars and the business boomed.

You'd think he was recognised for the work he did but that wasn't the case. Instead, the manager fired Zak in order to bring in a more experienced mechanic; someone who 'understood' how a car worked.

Zak's empathy with cars never really made him think something was special about him. He dismissed it as a gift, a feeling. However that all changed on his sixteenth birthday.

Money from his father's life insurance went into this one special day for when Zak woke up to the dismal Irish sun, a classic motor was waiting for him in the drive way. The entire day was spent driving around town, speeding down motorways and socialising with the chariot beneath his feet.

While doing well over a hundred on a dirt track, an off road vehicle came hurtling towards them. The impact should have killed him and the car but instead Zak's body morphed well out of proportion to form an armadillo like shell around them. The armour was as tough as steel and deflected the blow like a forcefield.

Still, he didn't realise the extent to which his mutation could develop. His mother realised that now he had uncovered the more vibrant side of his genetics, there was little chance he could stay in the small village where they resided. He was sent to

Intelligence 3
Strength 3
Speed 3
Durability 4
Energy 2
Fighting 2

Powers:

Meccamorphis
- the ability to transform into a robotic form of an organism. At the moment, he is limited to small objects except for his beloved car.

Technopathy
- this means Zak can communicate/understand a machine like he would a human but this often hinders his ability to socialise with other people.

Hacking
- not necessarily a power but a skill. Since installing his hard drive (the plating on the side of his face), he is able to plug himself into a system and break through a series of codes to access information. Firewalls and security software does set him back and use up more energy.

Weaknesses:
Water ~
Like all mechanical devices, Zak is vulnerable to short circuiting in water. Although it won't kill him necessarily, it will cause some nasty damage.

Energy ~
The machine part of Zak requires an energy source which is stored where a human heart would be. This needs charging on average every few days. There is a charging socket on the back of his neck but if it were to be damaged he'd run out of power and drop down dead.

Emotions ~
Zak lacks the ability to fully understand human emotions as over the years he himself has become more machine than man. This results in common awkward pauses in conversation with him.

Paraphenilia:
His charger - the protected vent at the back of his neck.

Classes being taken:
TBD.

I know the weekends are the busiest time for RP's, but I will be without internet for the next couple of days, so I'll see everyone Sunday night.

Waaah!! Why did I not get the RP reply?! Graaahhh... *sniffs* Okay, I'm good. I can't reply tonight, Roche, since it's almost my bedtime, but sometime this week I can try and get around to it, but no promises will be made.

Edit: I'm such a bad girl. I replied anyways! XP

And sorry if that emotional breakdown was out of the blue- since Trinity has a depression disorder (and I'm new at roleplaying characters with mental illnesses and/or disorders) I tried to make it seem that she actually does have a depression disorder with different but common symptoms of a depression disorder.
