Personality: Shy, quiet, outspoken, nervous, fidgety, modest, and kind. Around her friends, however, she is a sweet, witty, funny, smart-ass with bad humor.
Biography: It'd be a lie to say Ryan had led a good life. She was a black sheep in the middle of the herd who stuck out like a sore thumb. Born to two unloving and uncaring wealthy parents(who were readers like everyone else), it was common Ryan(unlike her siblings) was left to fend on her own. Despite her parent's wealth, she was neglected and had to make her own living. This was how the majority of her life was lived, and she learned to deal with it.
However, upon hitting puberty, Ryan started sticking out from the others her age. Why, might you ask? She hadn't turned. Unlike near all the people her age, Ryan was left behind as a zero, one of the worst possible things that could happen. Well.. Until she figured out what she truly was, which was considered much worse.
One day, while being harassed by a group of stuck-up pravers(people who sexually harassed zeroes), Ryan finally flipped her shit. Next thing she knew, all the childish boys who'd been messing with her dropped limp to the floor. To Ryan's luck(bad luck, that is), a certain teacher(who happened to be a Gov. spy) witnessed the whole thing.
Next thing Ryan knew, she'd been shot with some odd form of tranquilizer and was being dragged off. When she came to, she was in a Jacker camp. A horrid, rancid place where all discovered Jackers were set aside till a further date, where the camp was gassed to pass out and the government agents came in and took away a select few Jackers for Lord-knows-what.
Ryan, a poor young and confused teenager in a camp full of dangerous Jacker criminals, was utterly lost and scared. What had she done to get tossed in here? Though, an inmate of hers named Simon came to her aid, rescuing her from a group of villainous Jackers closing in on her.
Luckily for Ryan, Simon explained everything to her, and taught her how to utilize her 'powers'. He was kind to her, while Malloy and many others belonging to the clan Simon had adopted her into wanted nothing to do with her, so far as she could tell. But she was wrong.
It turned out Ryan was something those in the camp had never seen before; something everyone and anyone could find good use for. She had the mental defense of what was called a keeper; someone who's mind couldn't be infiltrated, unless she linked with them, the regular abilities of a normal Jacker(though, with an incredible span of distance she could jack from and the ability to jack into her own mind), and the ability to scribe(rewrite one's personality, though, she hasn't realized this yet).
Right about when she learned that Malloy planned to use her for something(Simon vaguely warned her), Kira Moore arrived, and all attention was drawn away from her, to her relief. Aside from Simon, it seemed nobody talked to Ryan anymore, though this was something she was used to. Regardless, her days went along with nothing ever seeming to change or happen, aside from when the camp was knocked out. Though, Ryan, like Kira, seemed able to fight the knockout gas. Sure, she was always groggy and weak at first when doing it, but she could.
Except for the one day it mattered most.
Ryan awoke from the gas about the same time as the others, something rare for her. She started going about her day as usual, but quickly noticed the panic in the camp, as well as the fact Simon and Kira were gone. This immediately brought her into panic, as well.
Days later, all prisoners were released, but this did not aide Ryan, especially not when on the way out she laid her eyes across the dead figure of Simon, whom she'd developed feelings for. After that, everything went by fast. Soon, tests were developed to determine whether or not you were a Jacker, which earned Ryan a stamp across her cheek that labeled her a monster. Soon after, she was stolen away to a lab that was specific for enacting painful and inhumane tests on Jackers, which is where she was stuck for the rest of her life. Till now.

The Punisher possesses no superhuman abilities and succeeds solely through ingenuity and the rigorous training of his military upbringing, a finely honed killer instinct and an extensive arsenal of weapons culled from fallen foes and military allies.
Unlike most heroes, Castle has no dual identity, no "real world" job, no known hobbies, and few friends. He spends nearly all of his time planning his next hit, stopping only to recover from injuries or fatigue. Money taken from criminals is used to purchase food, weapons, ammunition, and pay the rent of his many safehouses.
The Punisher also disregards what the police and the public think of him, and is known to kill corrupt cops. He is viewed as a dangerous criminal by the public and by most members of the superhero community.
Castle's years of vigilantism have made him increasingly cynical about the capabilities of the American justice system, especially in regard to it's failure to successfully prosecute his family's homicide, due to the witnessed killer's false alibi and the mob's influence in the New York City Police Department. The reason Castle kills those he regards as criminals is his desire to make them pay for the pain that they've caused.
An Army colonel who once questioned Castle asked him why in which Castle responded, "So they can't get away. So they can't profit from the misery they've caused". While it is true that Frank derives a dark pleasure from what he does his motivation is that the thought of letting a criminal he could kill go would "drive him crazy". Some members of law enforcement are reluctant to arrest the Punisher because they believe he often deals with criminals that the law can't convict.
Castle stated he did not want others to follow his path, on the grounds that his personal war against criminals was his alone, and he harbored resentment toward other (usually short-lived) vigilantes, taking exception at what he saw as their lack of "professionalism".
The Punisher knows that no matter how many hundreds or thousands of criminals he kills, it doesn't make a difference in the world. Frank knows that his actions don't make the world a safer place, as seen when a slaving operation continued despite the Punisher's extermination of one cell.

While still in training, Castiglione met Phan Bighawk, an American Indian scout. He was assigned to be Castiglione's guide, and through Phan, he learned how to survive in the wilderness.
Following his training, Castiglione served in the Vietnam War in the Special Forces Unit as a point man. He fought in numerous engagements and was the only survivor (from both sides) of a Viet Cong assault on Valley Forge Firebase in 1971. For heroism in the line of duty, he was decorated with the Medal of Honor, the Navy Cross, 3 times the Silver Star and Bronze Stars, 4 times the Purple Heart, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
After finishing his second tour of duty in Vietnam, he came back to the United States and had a second child with his wife. He then signed up for a third tour to which he illegally re-entered the U.S. Marine Corps under the name of Frank Castle in order to return to battle. Castle served a total of 4 years in the Vietnam War (1968 to 1971). Six years later (1976) after the American involvement in Vietnam ended, Castle ran Special Black op training missions for Marine Recon Commandos in the upper New York State area.
While on leave, he took his wife and two small children to Central Park in New York City. Coincidentally, the family happened upon the scene of a mob killing on the Sheep's Meadow green in the park. Fearing witnesses, the mobsters murdered Castle's family in cold blood and escaped. Castle managed to survive the attack but was deeply traumatized by the incident.
