Name: Trinity Jaden
Job at Wraith: Healer
Description:

History: Jaden was a country girl who lived a free life. She had a mother, a father, and a younger sister who she lived on a farm with. She often helped her parents with the farming, and spent her free time in the nearby forest. Usually many months passed before a foreigner visited the little village they farmed by, plus the were dull characters most of the time. Yet one of them was rather odd, he told tales of magic and a secret world hidden from us. Most of the villagers stayed away from him, but Jaden took an interest in the stories this man told- they inspired her. Soon after he left, a magic user who abused their powers came and burnt down the village Jaden lived in. Jaden managed survived using her magic powers, she previously didn't know about. She tried to find a new place too settle down, but she never managed to fit in with the other cultures, them being so alien to her. Having magic didn't help either. So then one day a secret agency recruited her, one that new the foreigners tales weren't made up. The gave her a place to fit in and use her magic. She became a Wraith.
Origins: A small countryside village, in a peaceful setting. There was lots of forest surrounding the place she lived. Few travelers came by this unknown village, so the people there didn't know much of the world out side the village- they were happy that way though. The village was big on farming, but also had a lake for fishing.
Mundane weapons: Short sword, used for most close range attacks:

Mundane tools: A leather shoulder bag
Potion vials
Various healing herbs
A small cutting scalpel
A bottle of water
Linen bandages
Cotton wool
A bar of soap
Power 1: Uulnera sanare- Can heal a wound. The larger the wound, the more energy required from the caster to cast. Casting time take 5 to 20 seconds depending on wound size and casters energy. When castm the area specified by casters hand will begin to heal.
Power 2: Vis agro- Can create a force field which enemies can not pass through. The larger the force field, the more energy required from the user. Casting time is always 6 seconds. When cast a ghost white spherical light surrounds the caster, and allies with in the radius of the force field. The caster must keep concentrating on the force field, other wise it disappears. There are two sub types of force field: physical and magical. Caster can choose one type for each time they cast a force field. Physical ones do not allow physical things through, magical ones do not allow non-physical things through (including magic and thoughts). The things try to get through, the more energy required.
Power 3: Ianuae magicae- Can teleport from one place to another. The further the distance the more energy required from the caster. Casting time is always 10 seconds. When cast the caster and up to 3 other people can disappear and reappear in another place.

Choose one style of magitech to be attuned to:
-Golemtech: Earth and ground movement tech
Vehicles and earth manipulation. This isn't nature based, it is purely based on mineral manipulation. Golemtech is slowly leaking to the public, at least the vehicles are. This is a curse and a blessing as people won't necessarily freak when they see a golemtech cart, but they also may try to steal it.

E-Claire,

Your character doesn't really fit with the setting. She needs to be an on world character and should be ready to devote her life to Wraith itself. So probably not royalty, definitely not from another moon in another universe. We also already have other people with Phoenix-tech, and one of them is planning on making a healer type, at least I believe so. While having two healers is fine, you might want a different tech. Also, how long does this shield she can make last? Is it only living enemies that can't pass through it or does it affect weapons and magic, as well? I'm also curious as to what help the growing plants aspect is going to be for a secret agent.

Okay, updated. Is this ok? And she'll use plants as an attack (like making tree prisons or poison flowers).

Okay, the following may come off as harsher than I mean it, and I apologize if it does.

I have to admit I am having a bit of trouble here. The character concepts most people are providing are barely, if at all, fitting the setting. This is not an anime. It isn't going to play out like an anime or video game. This is not DnD. This is spy games, infiltration, tech gathering. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear before. Battles are not going to be big prolonged things, nor should they attract attention if at all possible. People are choosing powers that are flashy and not incredibly useful.

I think that the majority of you have missed the tone of the RP. That is likely my fault. Donny and E-claire, this game doesn't seem to suit your style so far. If you can make characters that are well thought, fit the tone and genre of the RP, and are not anime/manga style characters, then I will reconsider.

For everyone else, in case I wasn't clear, I apologize. This isn't going to be high fantasy or very combat oriented. There will be some combat, but it will be quick.

Also, since everyone seems to be in love with Phoenix tech, I'm going to give a bit of a broader perspective on the techs and how they are useful.

-Dragontech: Devices that aid in flight and aerial combat.
This doesn't mean you tame dragons. It is for using rocketpack, flying machines, etc. Mostly used for getting in behind enemy lines and getting out again. Aerial combat for a last resort.

-Faetech: Infiltration and glamour tech. Essentially illusions.
You get in, you look like someone else, you get out. This one should be pretty self explanatory.

-Basilisktech: Disabling and petrifying tech
Good for turning someone to stone, freezing them in place so they suffocate, etc. Great for assassin types or those who need to get across a room completely unseen.

-Djinntech: Summoning and minor conjuring
Great for suddenly having the key that opens the door, summoning the imp who wrote the instructions to a new thing, etc. Can also summon things to fight for you, but this isn't a great idea most of the time.

-Phoenixtech: Fire and healing tech
Yes, it throws fire. But that fire is healing rather than damaging for the most part. Almost all phoenix tech you find will be things like healing devices, replacement body parts, resurrection machines. You aren't going to get many flamethrower gloves.

-Mertech: Water and ice tech
Submarines, but also weather control, for when you actually do need the big distraction. Surprisingly, this is actually the combat specialist's best bet, and does include weapons. You are the last resort before running.

Can you tell me the best three areas to edit? And in what way should I change the history?

Please clarify your question. I assume you are asking which power to modify and it isn't that so much as the entire character concept doesn't fit. Your character has an agenda that does not fit with Wraith's, thus they would not recruit her for that very agenda. Your powers are too flashy for an infiltration, spying, recovery type game. Your character feels like an anime character with the special effects.

If Phi isn't going to use the Basilisktech I would like to use it, otherwise Mertech would be nice, if there's still a spot left that is.

Sin, what sort of concept are you thinking of?

Oh, okay - even better! I'll go with my Djinn then, with a few more modifications. I'll have my full template up today then. :)

Name: Ciosa Tindome
Job at Wraith: Researcher/Field Agent/Thief

[SPOILI]

[/SPOILI]

Description: Ciosa stands at average height, with long, wavy hair typical of her kind – which she mostly keeps braided in a thick rope that falls down her backside. She mostly keeps it wrapped around her neck or around her left arm when in deep concentration while in the library or in her study. But while in field, she will allow it to fall down her back, for within its contrails lays a hidden weapon for her use.

Body built is rather slender; yet, with a muscle tone that makes her anything but tiny. Though toned, she not so muscular as to thwart a certain degree of speed, flexibility and agility. The light marking upon her body are etchings that hold the loyal spirits that have devoted themselves to her needs. For reasons unknown to even Ciosa, these beings have been a part of her life for as long as she can remember – which isn't much. They are bound to her soul, aiding her and all she considers allies, when called upon. Her eye color, when her skills are silent, is a dark tone with a slight bioluminescence of color that is seen in certain light. But, when she is summoning, they will highlight in certain shades to explain which spirit is assisting her at the time.

History: There's really not much to speak of about Ciosa's history. Most of her childhood and teen memories had been erased on the night she woke up to find herself inbound with four unknown spirits cluttering up her mind and soul. She cannot recall her own personal life, but through her Bon Ange is able to fully consume tons of information, maintain the things she hears and sees perfectly, and can recall small minute details about one a person, place or thing with not so much as a small glance over her shoulder.

Feeling no true connection to a family or home, or any other place somewhat familiar to her, Ciosa took upon the life of a traveler and researcher, spanning across Derestin to learn about its diverse geography, its cultures, politics, religions, histories, races, and so forth. She soon fell into the hands of a guild of scholars and was able to divulge in her fascinations with all that she's learned, sponging up more and more truths to the world she lived in; as well as learning with ill regret how so much vivacious magic flourishes across the lands and hardly one is the wiser about it. That's when she'd realized that her abilities, to hold her own party of spirits within her being, is actually a gift of magic and a blessing that should not remain hidden; especially when there's more to learn about her mysterious calling.

But, as she traveled and studied, she's also learned of the darker side to this blessing – how others who were also touched by magic have used their gifts to enhance their egos and personal greed. They were the ones who were slowly destroying Derestin and turning the heart of the people from those who are gifted; fearing them as deceivers and murderers of the weak. Her days of traveling for substance and knowledge turned into a personal crusade to help the weak stand against what she rabbit named, Mal Ange – bad spirits, the holders of magic who gave the entire magical community a rotten stench in the nose of the people. She wanted to educate the people about magic, to aid in their understandings and wipe away their misconceptions about all gifted. Yes, there are some bad apples in the bunch, but there is a way to weed them out – and that's by picking out the good ones.

Even though she held good intentions, her efforts became a red mark across her back; her life became a dangerous one to life, but she kept her Bon Anges at bay - not using them for her protection.

Her crusade, although a struggle, seem to grab the attention of one important group, and soon she was recruited to the Wraith. For them, she uses her knowledge to assist in any undercover operation. Her knowledge of the various idiosyncrasy of the world gave her a unique advantage as a field agent, and her Anges are very helpful in covert skills. Ciosa's favorite – collecting things of interest that are otherwise not for the taking…

Origins: As mentioned before, she is lost to what her origins might have been. She's asked her Ange many times before about herself, begging them to give her just a smidgen about her life after they'd taken over her soul. But, they've kept her in the dark about her true self, and she fears that their successful attempts are - for good reason. She's stopped asking though, but has gone through great lengths to find a connection to some sort of past through her surname – if that is her real name. That's all she has to go by, and if she can maintain her charade with her Anges, keeping herself blocked during her solidarity in order to research her past, then she might find something worth looking into; or learn something she wished she'd never knew about herself all together.

Mundane weapons:
Dagger chain – a small-linked chain about 9' long with a dagger tip on both ends. She hides the chain strategically in or around her braid in a manner that allows her to retrieve it with just a pull on the end, or a small clip release at the top of her braid.

Mundane tools: Keeps a journal on her person, as well as a small hip pack that holds various traveling items when she's out scouting. Usually, during any mission, she wears attire that is designed with hidden compartments to hide required tools or to sneak vital information and collective items out from under unsuspecting eyes. She hardly carries too many things, because she can conjure up small items, if necessary.

[DASH=#339966]Power 1: Soul/Spirit Keeper – This skill gives her the ability to glue herself to a person's soul or spirit. As she maintains their body in her presence, she projects their soul/spirit through the atmosphere, or through the webs of her consciousness to a particular location known to her or them.

With a person's soul (Soul Travel) she is able to send, or project, a physical image of them (as if they were physically standing in that location). People can see and touch the person being projected, they can interact with them, but they cannot harm them due to Ciosa's protective connection. This protection causes any attack the soulful vision receives to not harm them, but to transfer to Ciosa instead, causing her minor injuries.

With a person's spirit (Spirit Travel) she is only able to send a perception of them. They are only a ghost in that location. They are not seen by others and cannot interact with them. It is as if they are only a touch of a spirit, a fly on the wall and nothing more.

The danger with these skills come if she is somehow disconnected from the person's true form. Ciosa has to remain in full contact with the physical person she is holding, and has to remain in total concentration. Injuries she sustain through the projected soul/spirit or physically with the person's body, causes her harm; but the real damage comes if someone removes her connection from the person she's holding.

If this happens, not only does Ciosa suffer major mental and physical injuries – or even death; but the person she was holding will die without their soul because they are not connected to it anymore, and their spirit will wander around lost forever. Their body can be placed on ice until their soul can be returned. But a spiritless body is capable of activity, just lack control and understanding in so doing. [/DASH]

[DASH=#339966]Power 2: Summoning abilities - Can summon the four loyal 'friends' (Bon Ange) who are etched into her skin. They remain with her, helping her when she calls for their aid. They emerge from the etchings on her body, forming into whatever shape needed. Usually, they work through her form rather than removing a portion of themselves outside of her. They can be injured, and their injuries - once they return to her skin - are transferred onto her. Usually, this is not too much of an issue, because their healing time is quick once within their charge - this also transfers to her as well.

Dumballah – Father/Protector (green / etched down her spine and around her lower abdomen)
Ogoun – Brother/Warrior (red / etched on her right palm and souls of feet)
Agwe – Mother/Wisdom (blue / etched around her eyes)
Gillahlar – Friend/Emotions (yellow / etched around her left arm)

These Bon Ange can be used for any service required - from interrogations, fighting, collecting information, assassinations, and what have you. But, their main task is to assist their charge, to protect her and those she considers allies, and to keep her conscious of danger and the lack of truth.[/DASH]

[DASH=#339966]Power 3:Power Sensing - Ability to sense or recognize superhuman powers through all five senses. This allows her to understand the enemy before being seen. Then, she, her allies, and her Bon Anges can better prepare for their encounters.[/DASH]

Choose one style of magitech to be attuned to: Djinntech: Summoning and minor conjuring.

Ack, I'm a dummy and just realized I started this at a really bad time. This is going to be a very complex thing to run and I already have another game I promised to run, along with a huge project next month and busy stuff for the rest of October. I know you guys really want to play, so is anyone willing to take on the mantle of GM and get this started?

Let me know your how you want the beginning to go, and I'll Co-GM it with you. At least, until you're capable of returning... or assisting me with the just of the plotting and such to maintain your ideas throughout the run.

*hands over GM certification of six years of service and salutes*

"Reporting for duty, Ma'am!"

:D

Honestly, you may take it in what direction you wish. I don't mind. I am more than willing to help plot, though, should you wish the help. ^-^

Okay, but for the beginning, I wouldn't mind adopting your original plot bunnies and seeing if they'll play nicely with mine. :) It will help me spark up a few brainstorms for building up on what was already established.

I don't think I'll be able to do this rp anymore because I've already committed to a ton and have some very big assignments coming up in school. I'm so sorry! :(

I can stay committed for a while, but I don't think I'll be able to lead the plot or anything. I'd rather play a more minor role in this, since my characters not the best.

Revision has given me clearance to GM this RP. So, we're still able to run, if there are still interest.

If you are interested in putting some thoughts into the plotting, then send me some bunnies. Other than that, I'm working a few thoughts, and once there's a small handful present, I will be posting an OP - hopefully before November.

Cicatrix - hope things work out for you. :)

I'm still interested, but i have no plot ideas!
