It all happened in an instant. The explosions, the screams. Parents frantically looking for their children. The distant growls and clicks from some unknown threat. What were any of us to do? Simple, make a run for it. Some of us hid in groups and waited things out. As time passed, they soon began to realize that being in a group was becoming dangerous. Some became sick and died, while others, well they just went insane. We began to find that the more of us died out, the more of 'them' increased. The people that remained in groups, were turned on by their fallen comrades. The once dead body becoming reanimated. Those people were so foolish to think that they would survive. Oh how they were wrong. Now, the loners on the other hand, they were survivors. They are smart, cunning, and quick on their feet. While the others died off, they live on. Us, those survivors, we fight everyday just to survive. We have beaten the odds, and proved that we were capable. Not that it really matters. Times are getting tough, even more than it was. It's getting extremely difficult to take care of ourselves. The panic is rising. We try to shake the thought away, but soon enough we will have to group up, the thing we dread the most is becoming a reality. What choice do we have? Maybe we can survive, maybe all our abilities put together will make things a whole lot easier. Even so, what can we do in this world, this world of decay?

It is the 'zombie' apocalypse, and you are one of the few who have survived this hell on earth. You are what they call a loner, the ones that have chosen to live by themselves during all of this. You are the ones that have excelled above the rest in this test against humanity. Sadly, you will soon have to leave your life of solitude and join a group of fellow loners. What other choice do you have? The zombies are becoming stronger and are starting to stay in large hordes. Either die and become reanimated, or keep fighting, with others by your side. It is your decision, your move on this chess board of life.

Personality:

Very hard working, she has a PhD in Botany with a minor internal health. Highly intelligent she is easily quick to anger by the idiocy of the general population. Used to isolation, there isn't much in the way of social skills and tends to not say much.

History:

Both she and her brother left the big cities when the outbreak started and found refuge on an old family farm. With her skills and knowledge in plants she was able to make a sustainable garden to feed them while her brother hunted and found meat. After the first year she learned from her brother about hunting and general survival skills. It wasn't long after she lost her brother and left the farm to find a more secure place to start again.

Weapon(s):

A machete on her back, two blades strapped to her ankles inside her boots, Scrap metal bat she fashioned a handle to.

Skills:

Knowledge of plants and their effects on the human body. Basic survival knowledge (as taught by the coast guard). Trap hunting.

Appearance:

Personality: Before the infection broke out you could consider her kind, trustworthy and helpful. But ever since that day, many events have changed her into the woman she is today. Strong willed, persistent and cold when needed. Lillen has never been much of a team player. Though these days what people want and what people need are two very different things.

History: Holding out with her family at first, Lillen was the only one to escape when their initial 'safe house' was over run. Losing two brothers, a sister and her parents, Lillen had to depend on herself, occasionally picking up partners at first, though after loosing friend after friend she's become somewhat of a loner, considering herself cursed to roam London without anyone. Every single person she's been with since the infection had died. Why would any others be any different?

Weapon(s): A revolver owned by her father. The only thing of her families that she has left.

Skills: Scavenging is Lillens strong point, with minor basic survival skills taught to her when she did scouting as a child. Though when it comes to looking for food and supplied she has grown quite the keen eye. Not to mention she's quick on her feet, though stamina is a little bit of an issue.

Gender: Female

Personality: Max is cold. No, not temperature. She is emotionless, due to events that have sent her spiraling into insanity. The only two emotions she openly expresses is fear and anger. The only two really needed in her opinion. She finds herself incapable of being near another human being. Paranoia sinks in and she sees anyone as a potential threat. Deep down she knows her time is running out as a loner, but she can't cooperate with other people....can she?

History: When the outbreak started Max was with her boyfriend. They thought true love would keep them alive. How foolish of them. Within a week Max's boyfriend was bitten, and of course his first target was Max. Max, out of fear, took down her boyfriend with a gun. She stood crying at her lover's now crumpled corpse. She packed what little things she had and left immediately. She left her broken heart there, and never looked back. Within a couple of months, Max had joined a group. Things were going well until there was the flu going around. With no medics or doctors, several of them died, leaving them in even smaller numbers. The group members turned on one another. Poor Max, she watched the bloodbath from a distance. All she had seen was how terrible and cruel this world was, and how cruel it's inhabitants were. Soon after, Max became a loner, and to this day, she avoids every living person she sees. Not that she really sees any anyways.

Weapons: Max carries a .308 rifle and a large machete, along with a couple of knives

Skills: Max is an amazing shot with her rifle and she hardly ever misses. She is good when it comes to defending herself...from a distance. Up close, well, it's a different story.

Personality:
A friendly, but easily afraid guy. He's tactical though, so unless his fear takes over, he will generally be calm enough to get out of "scary" situations, especially after everything that has happened. If someone gets behind, he will probably rush back for the one that got behind. He'll put aside any fears if it comes to helping/saving friends, but on his own he's a "wimp", well as much of a wimp he can be at this point. He likes to help people and only gets a better feeling when people show gratitude. He also like gaming, so gaming references galore! He isn't good at making friends, at least at setting the first step. He dislikes mean people, like really dislikes them. He understands practical, but being mean for no reason will not be tolerated by him.

History: He's pretty good at setting up bases, so he made bases on the ground and in trees. Frankly, the one in the trees held up the longest, but those things weren't your enemy when setting up bases in trees. He got a lot of bases raided, because of bandits or other people just looking to survive. He never wounded a human, he always ran away when things got bad.

Weapon(s): A metal baseball bat and a simple revolver.

Skills: Being tactical, an up close fighter, getting people to trust him and setting up small, simple bases. His revolver skills are still lacking...

Name: Ren Zhang Rush

Age: 20

Personality: Rush is a quiet one, usually keeps to herself and only speaks when she needs to. She's not shy or anti social, just would rather not deal with other people who might judge her view on things or her actions. She will do anything she must in order to survive, and that may make her come across as someone who is not trustworthy. She doesn't really mind that though. She would rather be not trusted than form any kind of bond or get close to people. Rush is afraid of losing people she cares about, and so her simple solution to that, is to care about no one but herself.

History: When all hell broke loose, Rush was with her father, a retired Army Ranger who taught her everything she knows about how to survive. Her father was one of the many people who were called 'preppers'. He prepared for the worst... but when the worst came, it wasn't what they were expecting. Their supplies lasted them a long time, but one time they were away from home together and thier supplies were raided, only enough left for one to last a week at most.

Knowing this, Rush's father ended up ending his own life with a gun. The sound had attracted the undead to their home and Rush had to flee with the remaining supplies and ammo on her own. Now she is alone, travelling the streets of New York and avoiding normal people just as much as she avoids the undead.

Skills: Rush is an amazing shot with her sniper rifle. She knows basic survival skills she learned from her father, as well as hand to hand combat. She speaks English and Japanese.

Personality: As a ex-Second Lieutenant he can be quite charismatic and a general good guy. Matthew tends to conform to lawful good which has conflicted with some things he was ordered to do in the past. Even with his good nature he does have the flaw of trusting people to easy, so it's hard for him to hurt anyone that is still a person.

History: Matthew was the middle child in his relatively big family of 4, his father was a engineer and his mother was in business, so he was mostly hanging out with his father as he worked from home. He grew up with the smell of grease and oil that constantly blew it's way from his fathers work area. After a while of hanging about watching his father and sometimes older brother work he asked if he could help out, his father was surprised it took him so long to ask and got him helping out teaching him a lot about a car.

His father new that him and his siblings wouldn't go into engineering so he decided to teach them a thing or two about cars so they could fix their own when they could afford one. Matthew quite enjoyed it and thought for a while he'd do engineering in collage but sending everyone to collage would cost a lot of money.

Matthew understood this from when he was a teen, it cost too much so he decided to join the army when he was of age. His parents were the most proud but they under stood why he needed to do this. Matthew began training one the next group pf trainees were ready, his training consisted of hard tasks working in teams and shooting ranges. Finally when Matthew finished his training he was straight in the field; quickly becoming a second lieutenant.

One year later all abroad soldiers were brought home to England to fight a virus that had spread through the country. Matthew joined the front lines that many were killed and turned into what they nicknamed seekers off their skills of hunting down every last person. It was still early days but the virus spread still with no intention, when Matthew's squad was moved back to London they were given the order to kill everything that moves which included civilians. Matthew was the one who was supposed to give the order to the others but all he did was drop his dog tag on the ground shoot the Lieutenant and leave, staying on his own till he met others for a group.

Name: Duncan Jarlsson

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Personality: Whilst Duncan is weary of people, he has been known to greet fellow survivors, talk with them for a good while and offers them some goods after the conversation's through, wishing them good luck. He seems however to be rather two-faced about things, as he can be very unforgiveful over things some people have commited in the past, and tries to pin it on them between that and a rock.

History: Duncan was born in Scotland to a pretty standard family, a mom, a dad, two siblings and a house pet. During the early stages of his life, Duncan had it pretty easy, his life biggest worry at the time wether he'd lose a toy or not at the public playground where he lived, in Glasgow. When he hit his teen years, however: his life took a drastic turn when suddenly he was snagged up at his school and thrown into the passenger's back seat. Many thought Duncan would more or less turn up dead within a week at his local school, but after having gained control for a few moments as they drove close to a cliff, Duncan launched himself for the steering wheel and turned on it all he could towards his direction: resulting in the car spinning off the road.

After the crash, Duncan woke up minutes later to his kidnappers, lying on the ground with both of their skulls smashed open. He himself had been quick enough to put on his safety belt, but just when Duncan had begun to calm himself down and was about to get out of the wreckage, a spark struck against the gasoline. The car was set ablaze with Duncan still inside, trying to force the seatbelt to let go of him: although it somehow refused to yield. This caused it so the flames went up and burnt the two corpses in the car, and extended over towards Duncan's legs. It set ablaze his jeans all while he was awake, yelling, screaming and begging for divine intervention. Somehow, the flames didn't travel up further to the teens body, but remained at his jeans, burning away his skin, flesh and blood from within all whilst he kept on fighting it. It was suspected that after ten minutes of fighting the flames, Duncan lost concioussness due to the extreme pain.

When Duncan opened up his eyes again, he was in the hospital. He spent numerous months inside the hospital until he had recovered to a sufficient status that he'd be able to walk again: but this time, Duncan seems to have been encouraged by what happened to always be the fastest one. He began to run. Not just a little, but every day he practiced and practiced until he began to run on the roofs. From the roofs, the forrest, the forrest: the marketplace, and so he kept on training until the day the world ended. A bite, an infection, the world ended. Of course, Duncan was able to hide at a farm on the outskirts of Glasgow, although he snagged up all the food and hid in the basement, blocking off all form of viewpoints and such to prevent the infected from spotting him.


One day, he heard the sound of wood cracking. He quickly realised what was going on. He packed up as much food as possible, along with a hunting rifle he had found in a cabinet upstairs a while back. Duncan quickly ran up to the second floor, and hopped down into the cornfield: hearing the screams of the infected behind him. However, keeping his wits to himself, Duncan was able to outrun most of the infected pretty easily, using his knowledge of parkour along the way, he ran, bicycled and swam across Scotland until he reached London, where he still remains.


Weapon(s):

A Hunting Rifle, with the name 'Dinner Bell' engraved on the buttstock. It's a one shot, highly accurate rifle that's capable of packing quite a punch, for the lack of ammo capacity.

An Improvised Sub Machine Gun, it might not look pretty: But it sure is high quality for being made in someone's garage.

Skills: Run Duncan Run!: Ever since he was released from the hospital, Duncan has trained in parkour, allowing him to outrun most people and infected, along with traversing high-vantage points even if there is a lack of ladders.

Spray n' Pray: Whilst Duncan is running, his accuracy for his sub-machine gun increases, allowing him to gun down most people that tries to get away, or to gun down infecteds chasing him.

Personality: Shannon is suave; a real charmer. His looks gets him places. He uses his charm and looks to his advantage. Not only does trick people into giving him things, he obtains their secrets. Oh how he loves secrets. Those are his favorite things to learn. I mean, what else can a man of his stature do to pass the time in a world like this? He's a real trickster that's for sure. One minute he'll shake your hand as a sign of friendship, and next he'll stab you in the back....literally.

History: Shannon was born into a wealthy family. A very, very wealthy one at that. Throughout his life he had everything he ever wanted. Tons of money, fancy cars, a hot girlfriend, etc. When the outbreak started, he lost everything. Everyone he knew had turned, so he did what most people did, he ran. He went into a place, a very dark place. Both literally and psychologically. He had cracked. The once calm and collected man, had turned into a monster. One that was full of manipulation and greed.

Weapons: Shannon's biggest weapon his mouth, but if you want to be technical, he loves knives. He carries several knives, and a Beretta 92FS pistol.

Skills: He's a smooth talker. He can read most people like an open book. He is also good when it comes to up close and personal combat. He's sly and sneaky, like a fox.

Well, I would've picked the shotgun for the full reference, but there's always the catch: England doesn't really have lots of weapons handed to the civilian, aside from perhaps what the military/illegal gun trade might offer and those who hunt game, so I thought it'd be best to go with this, instead of what I personally want for my character to have. Otherwise the SMG would've been an Uzi, and that Rifle would've been a full fledged pump action shotgun.

PS: Also, a rifle just seems like a better deal since I already have a close-range weapon.

Personality: Having grown up in a Military Family, Alexia was very well disciplined and respectful to everyone around her. She is known to be a very nice and caring person, being generally easygoing. As a Partner, she will be fully committed and faithful. Because of betrayal, Alexia has a lot of trust issues and it takes a lot to show that she can trust someone, regardless of where they stand. Aside from that, one will have to get to know her...

History: Alexia was an Army brat growing up,, as her Father was a Sniper in the United States Army and her Mother was a Stay-at Home Mom. For most of her Adolescent Life, her Father was often away on Deployment, but she was a good daughter to make her Mother's Life easier, as both women had to cope with Daddy's deployments. Around the time that she was seventeen, her Father was killed at a Shooting Range along with her Uncle when they were trying to help a Veteran cope with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Around the time she was twenty-two, Alexia got engaged, but her Mother passed away due to Terminal Illness not long after. As a result of losing both her parents in such a short amount of time, Alexia's Fiancé meant the world to her...Especially after she became pregnant with their child up to four years following their union. This joy was not to last, as a Zombie Outbreak would hit...

Name: Zeke Brown

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Personality: Zeke is a quiet but upbeat survivalist with a hard on for guns. He is brutally honest, but still reliable and ever resilient. He makes no room for useless people. If he can't rely on you to have his back he will not have yours.

History: Zeke was visiting a friend in New York before the outbreak. The two planned to leave the city and take on the northern countryside. Those plans went sideways when the world did. The streets were chaos so the two chose to camp the rooftop of the tower they were in. The apocalypse couldn't have come at a better time for them because they had all their gear ready.

They lasted at the top of the tower for a day and a half before a helicopter crashed into it. The crash destroyed their water cache and it knocked Zekes friend off the side of the building. He died on impact with the pavement. Zeke packed what he could and used a power line to zip over to another rooftop. With the streets filled with dead and bandits he couldn't just drive out of the city. He survives by making his way from rooftop to rooftop with an uncertain goal.

Weapon(s): Boot knife in his boot, .45 revolver holstered on his hip, a broken kukri, a lighter and a KSG-12 shotgun slung over his shoulder.

Skills: Excellent at CQC and survival. He's great at scrounging up supplies, making traps, and building shelters, and then defending them.
