Yes! I was getting to that in the IC.

Because @CasketCase and his/her brilliant idea, the Chinese Zodiac know of the war, and are "veterans." They have mastered their powers, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be sure that those powers are NOT OP/ or Balanced out with limitations or weaknesses.

  • Mastery of Projectile Weapons: Currently, Paxton simply believes he has remarkable aim with a sniper rifle, but he does not know how far that extends nor does he realize that it applies to all projectile weapons. He is able to hit with 90% accuracy at the maximum rage of whatever weapon he has.
    • Limitation: He is limited by the weapon he is using. He can not extend the natural range of the technology or making something strike with deadly force that does not have deadly force. He also only has his natural strength to work with if he is using a bow and arrow or something like that.
  • Improvised Projectile Weapons: Paxton is use non-projectile weapons or things that are not weapons at all as projectile weapons. For example, throwing kitchen knives or using a staple gun would work for him. It is not as accurate as his mastery of projectile weapons. At maximum range, the accuracy of his attacks go down to about 70%.
    • Limitation: Once again, he is limited by his materials. A butter knife is only going to do so much damage. Also, his accuracy is rather bad with something improvised.
  • Good stamina: Paxton can continue to function at a high level with minimal or no sleep. It all depends on how much he has exerted himself over the course of the time he is awake for. On high stress missions where he is expending a lot of energy, Paxton needs 3 hours of sleep. On low stress/intensity times, Paxton can go two days without sleeping.
    • Limitation: If Paxton forgoes the three hours of sleep on a high intensity day, his body begins to shut down after 36 hours and forces him into a 12 hour comma-like recovery stage.
  • Slight healing factor: Paxton heals at an advanced rate, faster than most people. For example, if a broken arm should take 2 weeks to heal, Paxton's could be done in one. Small cuts and bruises are healed very quickly.
    • Limitation: Expedited healing requires more sleep than his body usually needs. For broken bones, 2 hours of sleep will improve his health. For more advanced things, his body could shut down for longer to mend what is broken.

  • Loyalty: Paxton listens unquestioningly to Vadim.

WEAKNESSES:
  • Alcoholism: While it has been over a year since Paxton has had a drink, he still struggles with his cravings from time to time and it will be a battle he fights for the rest of his life.
  • Emotional Stupidity: Paxton is bad at picking up on subtly and really can not read people very well. He's not great at relating to people emotionally.
  • Non-creative: Paxton does not think for himself very often. Unless it is in the scope of completing a mission or making himself more useful on missions, Paxton does not express himself in those ways.

HISTORY:
Born into a strict Catholic family, Paxton was born to older parents who had been told for years that they were infertile. To honor their little miracle, the couple named their baby boy in honor of the Saint's day he was born on, the Virgin Mary. Paxton was raised in the church where people told him every day the kind of miracle he was. His parents, from the early days that because God had given Paxton to them, that Paxton was supposed to give his life back to God in some form of service, and his parents hinted heavily that they wanted him to become a priest. He was a good boy, listening to his parents, being an alter server, getting good grades, just being a model kid.

In high school everything started to change, but not in the way you expected. He did not go through the traditional rebellion phase. No, he didn't start doing drugs and hanging with a bad crowd. It's just that in high school, Paxton decided he wanted his life to take a different path than what his parents had decided for him. Paxton you see had fallen in love with two things his parents hadn't counted on. First was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen and the second was his country. In high school, Paxton began to date a young lady named Claire. Claire moved into town and began attending their church. The two youths found an automatic connection there. At the same time, Paxton had joined the JROTC and decided that military service was the structure and dedication that he wanted to invest his life into. After graduation, he entered into the ROTC program. His parents, though disappointed, accept this path. He and Claire were engaged and married within the year.

Paxton succeeded throughout the course of his training. He had a solid life, made some good friends, and really excelled at the training they underwent. He was an especially good shot. The best in his class and favored the sniper position. He even underwent Special Forces training because of his talent. Once his four years were over, he was immediately sent into the war zone to use his talents. Even though he had been given intense and realistic training, the actual act of war was rough on the young man. Paxton lay up at night seeing the faces of children who got in between the path of the bullets he had shot. At the same time, he and Claire had grown apart. She sent him in a letter she sent while he was still abroad saying that she had been cheating on him with another man for the past three years. She was in love with this man, and begged him for a divorce so she could spend her life with him. Paxton signed the divorce papers that were included with the letter because he would do anything he believed Claire truly wanted. He was still madly in love with her.

Feeling abandoned and overwhelmed, Paxton allowed apathy in. He felt like this was no longer his life. It was just motions he had to preform. Going from a conscientious, religious, and caring individual, he put up emotional walls to distance himself from others. He turned from the values and beliefs he was taught as a child, but did not replace them with anything. Instead he simply did as he was told and tried to ghost through life.

Paxton stopped contacting his parents or anyone else who cared about him. When he wasn't working, Paxton would take comfort in a bottle. This twisted him even more than shutting off his emotions did. For a while, walling his emotions off and suppressing his feelings with alcohol turned him into a ruthlessly efficient killer. He would take down pretty much any target easily. Paxton was even awarded some metals, but after a few years of being regarded as a killing machine the alcohol seeped into his professional life. He lost control of his drinking. Being tipsy on the job once ended his career. That day, his head was swimming during the briefing and he got the names and faces of the target mixed up with the informant that he was supposed to extract. While he was sober when he took the shot and believed he was killing the right person, he was gravely mistaken. Luckily, Paxton was only dishonorably discharged and not sent to any sort of jail time for it, but it ruined whatever life he had left. The man crawled into a bottle and refused to come out again.

Paxton's story should have ended there. He should've died either from drinking too much or a dumb choice he made while drinking, but one day when he was lying, drunk in the street someone sought him out. The man was named Vadim Usachyov and he was a Russian private military contractor. A charismatic man, Vadim essentially gave Paxton the option of cleaning up his life and working with their organization or death. Paxton, even though he hated what his life had become, was afraid to die, and he had been looking for a meaning in his life since his wife left him. He accepted Vadim's offer. The man was good to him, putting him an intensive rehab program, and looking after the still young solider. After he got a handle on his addiction, Paxton began to work for Vadim. Even though the organization that Vadim runs is not a "good" one (their mercenaries are as likely to work for the US government as they are to work for terrorists or dictators. It all just depends on who has the most cash) Paxton owes his life to this man and considers the people he fights along side like brothers. It was the camaraderie and a sense of belonging he hadn't felt since his wife left him. Most of Paxton's missions involve assassination attempts from a distance because he is shockingly good with a sniper rifle, especially from oddly large distances. His loyalties lie unshakably with Vadim and his organization.

HOW DO THEY PASS TIME?: Kind of a work-a-holic. Hangs out with his colleagues, catches a sports game, or very recently reading.
BIGGEST SECRET: The fact that he has an ex-wife. He literally never talks about her.
FEARS: Anything happening to Vadim, loosing his physical health, his ex-wife or family showing up in his life, and not very fond of clowns.
COMFORTS: Cleaning his weapon, AA meetings (even though he doesn't buy that God stuff they do in it) when he gets a bad craving, or some particularly well cooked meat.

HOW DO THEY ACT WHEN THEY ARE...
SAD: Hardly gets truly sad. There's not much for him to be sad about, but he would probably channel is sadness into anger.
HAPPY: Smiles contentedly
ANGRY: Training. Tries to beat it out on his body.
AFRAID: Rarely happens. It would have to be something truly amazing to shake him, but probably run.
WANT SOMETHING: Does everything within reason to get it. If he wants he, he should have it.
CONFUSED: Sits quietly and tries not to let on that he's confused. It happens more often than he'd like to admit when it comes to things outside of his relam of experience.

HOW DO THEY REACT TO...
DANGER: Doesn't faze him one bit. He can handle himself.
DEATH OF LOVED ONE: Pretty neutral about death, even to the fellow mercenaries he works with. Death has be a common part of Paxton's life for years. The only death that would rattle him would be Vadim. Then he would never rest until he got revenge on who or what killed Vadim.
DIFFICULT SITUATIONS: Usually keeps a calm head. He's not great about thinking of a solution to the situation, but can rely on previous experiences to work through a lot of things.
INJURY: Attempt to field dress it.
SOMETHING IRRESISTABLY CUTE: Apathetic.
LOSS OF HOURS OF WORK: Frustrated and somewhat confused. His work is his life. What was it lost to?
PROTECTIVENESS?: Other people's? I guess he doesn't care.
GOOD DECISIONS?: Other people's? I guess he happy about it.
BAD DECISIONS?: Other people's? Frustrated and probably throws a fit.

OTHER: IDK.....
It's brilliant! I like it. Will be adding a jump to on your Character Bio in a bit. c:

Any particular reason that one zodiac are "veterans" and the other is not?
I believe that the Chinese Zodiacs were battling the Zodiac Legacy first. Years ago. That Legacy is now passed on to the Astrological Zodiacs. Since the Chinese Zodiacs were first in line for the war, they got to the other humans first. Hence, the humans that play as the Chinese Zodiacs are "veterans."

Okay! I'm done with my CS. Except for the History. History has never been my forte, but I will get it done it due time.
Now that that's out of the way. IC work time. I've already completed the story of how the Zodiac Legacy came to be, I just need a couple of more points to add, then add my posts, and we are on the roooaaad.
