He started going to meetings and tried to stay clean and insisted that his kids go to a rehab centre every week and particupate in a support group to get better as well. PRESENT Charlie initially went for support group but got fed up. She was still hung up on the death of her eldest brother so she acted out much more. > otto was born in asgard, as a daughter of the norse god ullr. he was not one of the most well known gods, but he was a god nonetheless, meaning his powers transitioned to her, even though she was only half god. this made her a powerful individual, even as just a baby. because ullr didn't want otto to grow up on asgard, due to the fact that he had many enemies there, he had decided to take her, along with her birth mother and half brother, to another realm so they could live safely. unfortunately, the day otto was born, her mother died due to complications that arose during the birth. so, otto and her brother jensen were taken to luxom, a place that was believed to be a myth, but a place that ullr knew very well as he had been there before. luxom was a place of fortune and luxury, and home to many rich people and a prestigious royal family. ullr left the children in the care of an elderly couple on luxom, and jensen, being ten at the time, did his best to take care of his younger sister. as she grew though, she just proved to be trouble, and it wasn't long before both siblings found themselves kicked out of the house. they went along on their own, becoming something like ravagers and stealing from others in order to survive. things got rough a lot along the way, and they always met with bad company, but otto always had ways of dealing with her enemies, due to her powers. so, the brother-sister duo always prevailed. till jensen turned twenty and fell in love, that is. he decided that he wanted to settle down and start a family but otto was adamant to continue moving around because she believed that was what they did best. she knew she couldn't convince her brother and he wanted her to live with him once he got a job working for his girlfriend's father, but otto made other plans, to continue living on the run despite being only ten years old. considering her success thus far, she became confident that she could steal from royalty, and so she attempted it -- and almost got away with it. she made the mistake of sealing the door to the vault full of jewels with her ice power -- unintentionally -- and it got her stuck. she was soon found by the kin, but instead of punishing her, he saw how young she was and decided to take her in and raise her in the castle. her brother jensen believed that would be best for her since she would be well taken care of and he could also follow his own passion. growing up in the castle, otto was very reckless and hardly conformed to the rules, which was when the king realised she would be more suited to learning how to fight rather than learning how to be a lady. this was something that otto excelled at, especially considering her parentage, and after the king learned of her parentage when she was eleven and was visited by her father so he could present her with a custom made bow and arrows, the king realised she would be an excellent addition to the royal guard. otto she mellowed down a bit after forming a bond with the king's only daughter, reila. she became quite close to her, and when reila's parents were killed during travel, she was there to support her friend-turned-sister, even as she prepared herself to ascend the throne. otto also discovered that reila's uncle had plans of his own to try and take the throne, and after some hard work, otto managed to expose him. soon, he was executed and reila was made queen of luxom.

sawyer has two extremes. she's either extremely vibrant and making jokes, or she's extremely rude and cynical. there is no in between. this isn't selective behaviour with specific people. she could be this way with strangers or even her best friend. nobody's an exception. there are certain aspects about her that are different with certain individuals, like her ability to show slight compassion with it comes to her younger brother, or her ability to express hatred toward her mother to her face -- though she's been trying to control the latter, for the sake of the rest of the family. sawyer is not someone that is liked by many -- not unless she can finally meet her match and find someone she doesn't incessantly annoy with her bad habits and tomfoolery. she is driven and strong willed, and definitely ambitious. she grew up with nothing and as a result, wants lots of things. she also has an envious side, though only for people that are quite fortunate in their ways of living - and those that have a loving family. sawyer is someone who makes her emotions quite clear and hangs them on her sleeve for people to see. she isn't one to hide her thoughts or feelings unless she feels the need to. unless there's some bigger picture. and in such a case, she is excellent at putting on a facade. after all, the god of trickery chose her as his host for a reason.

PAST
sawyer wasn't meant to be born. that's what her mother would always say anyway. her mother olivia had been an up and coming actress when she got knocked up. she didn't even know who the father was. she didn't want a kid and, knowing it would only create bad publicity, she told the public she was taking a break from acting, long enough to have sawyer before she shipped her straight off to an orphanage. sawyer bounced around foster homes till the age of ten, when the orphanage ran out of homes to place her in. she would just keep getting in trouble or keep running away, so each foster family just grew tired of her. she found out through the orphanage who her mother was and by then, her mother had become more successful in her acting career. she had a name in the british media, one people recognised. so, sawyer ran away from the orphanage at eleven, trying to track her mother down, till she finally found her at age thirteen, in a grand house, with her husband and a child that looked not much younger than sawyer. sawyer wanted to leave the place far behind and forget about her mother, but she couldn't bring herself to. seeing that happily family, she wondered what it could have been like to grow up the same. however, her constantly watching the family raised a few red flags with her mother's other child -- sawyer's half brother stephen. he confronted her out on the street one day and sawyer explained who she was. from there, stephen went on to tell his father, who went on to argue with olivia about what she had done all those years ago, before insisting that they try and give sawyer a home. olivia, seeing her child, now grown up a little, felt slightly bad for the way she had behaved. she didn't want to take sawyer in, initially, but after seeing her, she changed her mind. sawyer, however, couldn't have been more against it. she wanted nothing to do with her mother, and meeting her in person made her realise this. she attempted to run away many times, but stephen would try to convince her against it because he was happy to have an older sister. nathaniel, sawyer's newly appointed step father, adored kids, so he was happy to have another in his life, even though she wasn't related to him biologically. eventually, sawyer realised that, aside from her mother, things were starting to look up in the house. she was given a room to sleep in, and three proper meals each day, so sawyer decided to stay, having grown close to her brother and step father. she was almost about to make amends with her mother till her mother was questioned by paparazzi about sawyer and she explained that sawyer was 'a kid she decided to adopt'. fearing for her own public image again forced sawyer to keep her distance once more, and she still refuses to accept any kind of an apology.

PRESENT
sawyer was enrolled in school a year after she began living with her mother again. old habits die hard though and she found herself thrilled by stealing and pickpocketing and basically doing things she wasn't supposed to. she got in trouble for it a lot of times, but she was in a family that wasn't going to give her up, unlike her previous foster families. not yet, anyway. sawyer discovered that she was a host when she was sixteen. unbeknownst to her, she heard the voices of the god loki as a child, and he was the one that guided her along and helped her for most of her time on the streets. now that she was sixteen, which was the legal age for humans to become hosts, the norse god loki approached her once more. sawyer had read about different gods but never believed they actually existed. considering loki was her favourite among them all, she willingly accepted to be his host, and not long after, she received a letter about a school for others like herself. it was under the guise of a disciplinary school -- though she had a feeling that changed for everyone because not all teenagers needed to be sent to a disciplinary school. excited at the prospect -- and slightly relieved to be away from her mother for at least some part of the year, sawyer shared the news with her brother, who while disappointed in her leaving, helped her suggest the idea to their parents, who decided they would give the school a shot. and so, sawyer left england and began her first term at academy de exercitum, the school for hosts.

joshua was born to lyndon and robin dennings, some well known people at academy de exercitum. joshua's parents passed out of the very same school as hosts, and so did his grandparents, and their grandparents, and a bunch of people before them. joshua comes from a very prestiguous line of hosts, and for as long as he can remember, everyone played host to an egyptian god and nothing else. mainly it was isis and horus that chose his family members as hosts, and if not them, then there was also the main god, ra, and of course, other main gods like nut and geb. any others were unheard of to take on a member of the dennings family as hosts. they're widely known and always associated with these major egyptian gods. growing up, joshua had only the best. he never wanted for anything, but unlike his brother and sister, who strove to be the best in their parents eyes, joshua was content with just reading new books all the time. this wasn't something his parents were very fond of but they eventually just convinced themselves that joshua would change once he became a host officially. his sister became host to isis, and his brother became host to ra, so they all assumed that joshua would become the host to horus. so it came as a surprise to everyone when joshua instead announced to his family that he had become host to the egyptian god ptah, a god not recognised by many and often overlooked. it wasn't what his parents wanted and it certainly was a first in the whole family so naturally, they were quite disappointed. joshua, having felt pressured his whole life up until then, decided to hell with it. he didn't care anymore. he was glad that a god like ptah, with the skills he had matching joshua's, had chosen him, so joshua was glad to accept him as a host. his brother and sister were a little more accepting than his parents and the rest of his family, but even they had a tendency to not acknowledge him that much around other company.

shortly after becoming a host, joshua got the letter he expected, in order to join academy de exercitum, and at first, his parents didn't want to send him because they were ashamed of their name being tarnished. however, joshua didn't give them much of a choice because he was adamant to go and at least regarding that, his brother backed him up, so he packed his things and set off for the school. he finds it much more relaxing to be at school, even if he's something of a social pariah there, because at home, he's just constantly frowned upon by his own parents whereas in school, at least he can read and avoid people that want to irritate him.

OTHER RELATIONS > mischa karakov | alive/vampire | whereabouts unknown | mischa karakov was the man that turned both alex, and her brother, and used them for his bidding. > arturo deveraux | maternal uncle | alive/wizard | arturo is currently the guardian of both alex and amatis. alex is quite content under his care. relationships PAST growing up, alex lived a good life. though her mother was a witch and the whole family found out only when alex's older brother turned 11, things still went well. her brother began to attend hogwarts, the school their mother and her whole family had attended, and he was sorted into ravenclaw, just like his mother and all those before her. when alex turned 11, she got her letter as well and she broke the chain, being sorted into slytherin, but her mother was never disappointed with that result. they were a normal family for a while, till alex turned fifteen and her mother received a distress call from her brother, which was alex's uncle, arturo. at the time, he had been studying more about the vampire species, having been fascinated by them. however, that work led him down a dangerous path and he was now stuck in the lair of one, in a forest in romania, which also happens to be the country alex was born. her mother had once been obsessed with the same research, which explained why she chose to go there to have both her children. it was a special place for her. after learning of the danger her brother was in, she decided to go there, alone, but when she didn't return for months on end, the rest of the family became worried. the only witch and wizard left, which was alex and her brother amatis, decided they could find her on their own and their father insisted on coming, despite being a mere muggle. so, they all headed to romania, where the siblings snuck away from their father to keep him safe, and started to track down their mother. all it did, was land them right into a trap. they ended up in the vampire lair too, where they found their uncle chained to a wall, looking completely beat, and their parents' corpses on the floor, drained of all their blood -- it seemed this vampire had managed to track down their father when the siblings left him alone. the vampire they met there was mischa karakov, and he decided that a pair of youngsters would do well under his care, especially if they had magical abilities. so, mischa turned both of them, turning amatis into a slave to do his dirty work, while alex, a now immortally pretty girl, was pimped out, to make mischa more money. both alex and amatis suffered through torture from their captor, and fighting back made it worse. almost three years, they worked under him, till amatis one day worked up the courage to find his uncle somewhere in the lair, only to find that he was still alive. using his magic, he freed him, and his uncle managed to call on a few friends from the ministry by sending a patronus. before they arrived though, he had already taken care of mischa. PRESENT now, free from all the violating torture she had to endure, alex and her brother both live with their uncle, back in their own home in england. alex was quite glad with the ministry's decision to try and introduce vampires to hogwarts because she desperately wants to continue her schooling and graduate from hogwarts.

It was just too goddamn easy.

Morgan peered out from behind a row of lockers, blowing strands of her unruly hair out of her face irritably. Her target was in sight. Just a few feet away. Normally, Morgan wouldn't allow herself any waiting time. On any other day, she'd just walk right up to the jock that was standing not too far away, and pluck the wallet from his back pocket. The top half was sticking out, just begging to be taken. How could Morgan not go for it?

But considering that she was skipping class and the halls were more or less empty, she dared to be a bit relaxed this once, taking her time.

Unfortunately, that was her mistake.

She had done as planned. She moved forward, pretended to bump into the guy, easily swiped his wallet while she attempted to flirt with him, and she left him hanging before continuing down her path and using the back door so she could spend some alone time on the bleachers, surveying her loot.

Just as she walked out the door though, she felt a hand grab her wrist, and before she knew it, she was dragged behind the bleachers. Her first instinct was to shove her elbow back -- hard -- because she had no idea who it was. She heard a groan of pain and it was like music to her ears -- till she turned and came face to face with the resident Golden Boy. That was when she knew she'd been caught.

"Are you following me?"

Still recovering from the jab he'd gotten in his stomach, Asher lifted his head, while hunched over, a surprised look on your face. "I caught you red handed and you're trying to turn this all around on me?" Heaving another small groan, Asher stood up straight, wincing slightly as he did so. "I suspected something was up when all the guys on the team started to lose stuff -- valuable stuff. It all started with my watch and that was last week. When you got here."

Morgan rolled her eyes slightly and began to open up the wallet she had just taken, flipping through it to see what it contained. "So what, you're going to make me give everything back? I've already used up most of the money I took. A lot of the valuables have already been pawned off. I'm sure they can all replace that stuff five times if they really wanted it back." As she said this, Morgan took a few bills from the wallet and then shut it before tossing it toward Asher.

He fumbled because he wasn't expecting it, but managed to catch the wallet. "I wasn't going to ask you to give it all back. I kind of assumed you wouldn't have it anymore. I just wanted to know why you're doing it."

"Because those guys are dicks."

Asher tilted his head to the side slightly. "Okay," he said after a short pause. "I guess you have your reasons. But I've never spoken to you and you still took my watch."

"Because in my mind, you're a dick."

Asher actually chuckled. "Don't you think that's a bit presumptuous?"

"Okay, here's a different answer. It's because I'm a dick."

Shoving his hands into his pockets, Asher looked at her with slight amusement. "I don't condone stealing. But I will admit that you're pretty good at it."

Morgan couldn't argue with that. If anything, it was a compliment. She had spent half her life doing it after all. But Morgan knew what he really meant by it. She had spent a majority of her life making enemies instead of trying to dabble in something else. In his own way, he was trying to tell her to cut it out.

She wouldn't admit it, but she appreciated the route he took to do so.

"I hear you," she nodded, crossing her arms and still clutching the money she had stolen in one hand. "But I can't always control it. It's a disease." Her tone was incredibly dramatic.

"Doesn't matter as long as you try."

Maybe Asher Lenford wasn't as much of a dick as she thought. Morgan nodded and watched as Asher, with a slightly satisfied expression, shoved the empty wallet into the pocket of his jacket and turned on his heel to head back inside.

"I'm not giving the watch back," she called out after him.

He didn't even turn around. "I know."

Brief bio
when emmory was born, she had no clue of her parentage. well, she knew who her mother was, but it was always kept a secret about who her father really was. that is, until emmory turned five and her mother got married. her mother and step father were quite happy in love, however they had a new baby on the way and since emmory was from her mother's previous relationship, her new step father didn't care for her much. as a result, he rmother began to neglect her as well. when emmory's baby sister came into the world, emmory would try to be a doting older sister to her, but her step father usually intervened and tried to prevent it. once emmory turned nine though, the monsters started showing up. the whole year was full of incidents, and it was then that emmory's mother confessed who her father actually was. emmory, being a rather creative and open minded child, needed no convincing -- especially with all the monsters she already saw.

this only made her family distance themselves from her more, and when emmory turned ten, her mother was diagnosed with a terminal cancer and she was at a late stage. emmory, feeling neglected already, decided she was better off. she resented both her mother and step father for not giving her the attention she needed and for treating her like an anomaly in the family, and so, she ran away. it didn't take long for a satyr to find her and bring her to camp half blood. emmory's been staying there till she turned fifteen and decided to venture into the city to see how her family was. she discovered her mother died from the cancer, and while emmory didn't bother approaching her step dad, she did approach her sister, who was glad she had returned. now, though emmory stays at camp year round, she always makes trips to the city to see her sister and take her out for a while -- all unbeknownst to her step dad of course.

drew was born in florence, italy, which is her grandmother's home town. though her parents had met in college in new york, her mother had decided to have her kids abroad, and once drew and her brother turned two, they all flew back to the united states, along with their father's mother, who was a widow. life went along quite well for most of drew's childhood. she grew up in a loving home, and her parents were happy and in love. nothing eventful took place in her life till she was around sixteen, and her parents died in a car crash. they'd been coming home from a party and were hit by a drunk trucker. after that, the di angelo household changed. the people in it that were once so happy and lively became depressed and lacked any enthusiasm. drew's grades dropped and she lost interest in her most favourite thing to do -- photography. beloved nonna, however, would not stand for it. she missed her son dearly, but knew that they had to move on with their lives instead of getting worse with each passing day. she managed to get drew and her brother out of their slump, and with time, they slowly got back on track. after drew graduated, she got into a good visual arts program a few states away so she left for college.

» upon first glance, many would assume that sam is kind of a bitch. she has that kind of face. she was born to a god and an incredibly gorgeous mother that many assumed she was a child of aphrodite. this only further led people to believe she was a bitch because that's just the stigma around the children of the goddess of love. and sam can be that way. if she wants to be. for the most part, though, she's mainly reserved. she's quite the opposite of her mother, who was always smiling and vivacious. sam is more quiet, speaking up when she absolutely feels the need, but quite outspoken and blunt when she actually opens up.
