'everybody' is, of course, an exaggeration, but didn't we just vote on orange for the community volunteer colour? has everyone just been shoved under the 'staff' title in some way or another now? so much red

Nearly all of the Community Volunteers have been promoted to Staffers. In the future, more Community Volunteers will be added though. : )

To clarify the above, there was a major staff overhaul that's been in planning since before the color change shenanigans and finally got put into place last week. Staff is now split into three departments (security dealing with reports and such, content folks to make all kinds of site content, and the community maintenance team to clean up old threads and make sure everything is posted in the right place) that I believe will each eventually have varying shades of red. The group previously called Community Volunteers are now Staff Trainees, and they still have their orange color as you can see in their tab of the staff members list.
