Who Cried Wolf

She was a horrible masquerade. There was a definite sign of intrigue when she bit inside the tart in her hand. Jenis was looking harder than he thought he was, but for good reason. There were some definite features in her face that he did not have the chance to observe before, but then was as good a chance as any. If they were going to have any time to themselves before the marriage, he may as well have scrutinized her every feature. the physical things were all in front of his face, whether she wore make up or not, there was no hiding from her beauty. It was like the song of a Siren, her face. Pulling men in with the mysterious beauty and tranquility, only to end their lives on the drop of a pin. Jenis shuddered and watched her bite again into the tart.

"On your finish, we will take our leave." he said and left it at that. She did not retort about the sleeping issue, even though the disappointment and reluctance was plastered clearly across her face. Still, Jenis had claimed the victor of the battle and chewed happily on the remaining piece of cake her had left.

"You really should have gotten this one. I, as I have said before, am terribly allergic to berries. Chocolate is something that calls for a romantic aftermath. I don't believe you're ready to see me make it melt."he said while adding a sly smile and a wink. And then, the game started over again. The teasing, the fussing that was sure to ensue, and the reluctant submission towards the end. Jenis chuckled behind the napkin he brought to his mouth, waiting for her to rise so they may take to his quarters.

Ariana continued to eat her tart in silence, making sure to eat all the strawberries on the tart as a safety check just in case Jenis tried anything funny later that evening. She took her time eating, eventually finishing up and wiping her face gently. She only glared at him at his next snappy comment but she ignored it and instead stood up silently. She was not happy in the, the expression on her face showing it off rather well. However, as evening went on and dinner settled in her stomach she was growing tired by the second.

"I am ready..." She said simply as she stood their, waiting for him to hurry up.

She wanted this to be over, if he was gonna be stubborn and force her to lay in the same bed with him then he was in for a be surprise. She didn't care if he dragged her across the floor and threatened to cut off her legs, she would not be sharing a bed with him. She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, her arms crossed over her chest as she waited for him to stand and lead the way back to her current prison.

"Ah, delicious, was it not? Simply perfect. I may need to ask for the same meal to come in the upcoming days. Don't you think so, my dear?"he asked, holding his arm out to escort her back into the castle. When she made no move, Jenis shrugged and led her off without touching her the same way he brought her in. There was a satisfying silence about the place. All of the castle residents were asleep in their quarters, for night had crept into its darkest hour. It had taken Jenis a while to travel from Saypol and back to Kalerin, not to mention the kidnapping attempt by the Xorians. Mace was most likely asleep in his stables. Jenis could only fathom what the little rodent had done to his room.

"I have brought this up before, princess, but it seems you are more of the repetitive type of woman. Saying something once never gets through in your head, but don't fret. I can adjust. meanwhile, I am fully aware at your lack of clothing and will raise hell and arms in this castle if you sleep in that dress. So...maybe..."he chuckled when his sentence drifted off with a coy smile hanging at the end. It was probably driving her up the castle walls, but he liked it. Both that, and his man hood had suddenly throbbed at the thought. Surprisingly enough, Jenis was able to paint vivid pictures in his mind of the tousle they would have soon to come. The sheets, the moans from the two of them, maybe a little moonlight splaying through the window. The play was overwhelming!

Sweet nectar of the Gods, what am I doing? He fully cursed himself over and over again until he finally opened the door to his room and let her walk in first. He did not want her looking at himself and how 'tall' he stood. Shaking his head at the thoughts that still giggled in his head, he closed the door and secured it with a lock.

"I was joking about that. Shirts are in the top drawer."he mumbled, stripping bare and making sure she was getting a good look at every single asset. She may have been a princess, but a woman's inner thighs never lie. With a smile he lifted the last cotton shirt over his head, flexing his chest unconsciously with a revealing and relaxing exhale.
[/DASH]

Ariana stayed quiet as they walked through the halls, her arms crossed over her chest as Jenis spoke to her. His words were meant to get her attention but she would not be giving him any of that now, he didn't deserve it. Especially when he was hint at such dirty things! She knew what he was saying, and ironically it some something she did already. A small part of her wondered if she would sacrifice her own sleeping comfort just to deny him what he wanted to see so badly. Then again, it might be a little more fun to actually tease him a bit...

She stepped into the room without as much as a word to the prince, instead she made her way towards the mentioned dresser and stood their silently for a moment as she face away from him. She glanced out of the corner of her eye to see what he was doing, his movements obviously trying to woo her into liking him. However, she was not so drawn to such things as other women might have been. Unlike them she had a great amount of control, also it helped that she hated every fiber of his living being. While he was undressing she started too as well. Doing so as he took his time ti try and catch her eye with his movement.

If he was listening he would soon hear the sound of fabric hitting the floor, followed by to lighter taps on the ground to show her underwear was gone. After that there was nothing, just some light footsteps towards the bed. If he were smart he might be able to put the facts together. No drawer had been opened and sounds of redressing were heard. This could mean only one thing...

Princess Ariana was completely nude.

Of course, she was a smart girl and quickly had slipped under the covers of the bed, Alfred having been sleeping on top of the blankets the whole time. The small ferret awoke and quickly moved over to the naked but covered princess in the bed. He curled up right in the middle of the bed, though a little closer to her and facing the direction of where Jenis would be laying. It seemed that the ferret had not intention of letting the prince near his mistress, even if they had to share the same bed.

[DASH=green]
Since there was nothing left to remove, Jenis decided to be a bit more of a gentleman towards her. She, as well as himself, had one rough day and she most likely wished nothing more than to rest. His tantalizing tactics may have to stop...for the night. Sighing outwardly to show his disappointing impatience, he waited until he figured she was completely removed from the dress and into the shirt he talked about. It shouldn't have taken her too long so he turned on his heel and looked behind him to see the woman in the bed. Jenis blinked once and looked at the dress on the floor and back to her and the ferret.

"Hasty to be in the bed. Ah...I see."
he cooed, moving over to his area of the bed. For the first time, he became aware of the ferret's relationship between him and the princess. It was simple: he would attack if Jenis even attempted to breathe in her atmosphere. Jenis scowled, annoyed that the pesky little thing was on his bed and claiming some sort of territory over his own vicinity. Then, in seconds flat, he realized that he could do more damage to it than it could do to him.

Sliding the covers back, he looked down and was met with a...beautiful and shocking sight. Ariana was without clothes...nothing but bare body against his cream sheets. Jenis was no where near prepared for it and his member sprung like a leak. Just as quickly, he grabbed himself, swore, hissed, and turned away all at the same time. His breathing had increased greatly while his wide eyes shook. Damn that snake, he swore again, slowly climbing in the bed with his back to her.

A change of plans may be in order.
[/DASH]

Ariana wondered for a moment if he even realized that she was completely nude, from his actions it seemed that he didn't. Well, either way she was not going to act shy, she slept in the nude all the time back at home and the servants had seen her more than one on occasion. The only time she was every shy was when she was around new people in the nude, such as the women from before. She preferred people she trusted, which was why she knew her personal staff almost to the point of being family. Only those with great trust saw her nude otherwise.

However, even though she had no trust in the horrid prince, she was not going to sacrifice her personal comfort. If she was being forced to share a bed with him than she was going to sleep how she liked! When he pulled back her covers, some of her skin was exposed, those her privates remained covered thanks to her hair and the fact that her legs were neatly closed. Even so, it seemed the site shocked him and his reaction nearly made her fall out of the bed laughing. She was able to hold in her giggles though as a looked of satisfaction grew on her face. It seemed she'd be able to mess with him just a little more...

"Is something wrong, Prince? I do hope I didn't shock you but because of the warm nights in Saypol it is very common for people to sleep in the nude. I assumed with that comment you made in the hall that you'd be alright with it. Well, it is late and I am tired. I am off to sleep. "
She said before she pulled the covers back up and turns so her back was facing him, Alfred the curled up against her back, facing Jenis and looking at him with watchful eyes.

[DASH=green]
"Quiet."he mumbled while his arms yanked the cover harshly to show that he was not happy about the little trick she was pulling on him. His face was a sauna mixed with lust and anger. How dare she...in my room at that! Jenis felt powerless against her, swearing inside his head that if she moved the slightest bit, he would have his way with her, even if he had to kill the furry little rat in the process. The princess may have been prime time in Saypol, but in Kalerin, in his room no less, Jenis held all of the power. She was just testing it. The darkness had yet to squeeze its way into the room due to the battle the moonlight was playing into the window. It gave Jenis enough power to look at everything which is why he was facing the opposite way.

"Move over, would you? I was grateful enough to let you into my bed. The least you can do is give a tall man some room."he said. The words were not serious; he was just rambling in his frustration. As much as he hated to admit it, and he really hated to admit it, Princess Ariana was winning this one. His physical appearance had done nothing to her, but her's was driving him and his part up the wall. Jenis shut his eyes but it did nothing to the heat that was pouring out of her.

With one final sigh, Jenis shifted under the covers and wrapped his hands around himself, leaving them there until the throbbing went away, for, to him, it was vibrating the entire bed.
[/DASH]

Finally! Ariana had finally won a battle with this tall bastard! And right before going to sleep as well, oh what sweet dreams she would have that night. The long trip and the ordeal of the day had taken much more energy out of the loud princess than she originally thought. Her mind was in a sleepy haze as the Prince spoke, the princess simply responding by curling up a bit and scooting over tot he edge of the bed on her side. Before long she was asleep, her breathing slow as Alfred laid against her back, both resting yet watching the curled up Prince.

As she slept though, she slowly moved. It was not something she could control, she always moved in her sleep after all. But slowly, as she tossed and turned, both her and the little ferret creeped across the bed and closer to Jenis, before long there would only be inches between them, Ariana in a deep sleep and Alfred having moved to rest on her cruvy hips. If Jenis was still awake at that time in teh eveing he would certainly feel her presence near him, her soft breath and a small tossle as she squirmed in pace, only moving just enough to let him know she was there but never actually touching him.

Oh, how torturous she could be without even knowing. If he thought this was bad then he would never be ready for what ever was to come...

******

Days passed and the pattern remained the same, Ariana would go against Jenis at every turn, bad mouthing him and being rude. By the end of the day she would give in to join hm for an evening meal before she would go to bed nude with Alfred there as her guard. Ariana either did not notice what she was doing to the Prince or did not care and continued to do this every day. However, the plan was changed ever so slightly when she found herself relaxing in the garden alone, having been able to escape from the prince with swift thinking...Sadly she was not able to escape as guards were constantly standing nearby as she read forcing her to give up for that time and just read her book.

If anyone was looking at her they would notice that there was a very large lack of protective ferret sitting around her shoulders. Now where could that little white puff of fur be?

[DASH=green]
Jenis did not remember much of the night. Sleep had taken a hard toll on him, harder than he expected it to have gone. For starters, the last thing he remembered were the eyes of the ferret, taunting him to make a move on his precious master. Jenis had actually turned to get another peak at the princess (what could he say!), but the little rat was ready and waiting for him to make a move of any sort. He scowled, glaring at the little thing for a moment. In a way, it was her fault for getting closer to him! Jenis scowled a little more but the ferret only snarled in return. The two of them had won the battle for then, but Jenis was apt for revenge, so enough.

Fortunately for him, that revenge never felt so good! The following days went the same: Ariana's excessive snapping and disobedience which was eventually followed up with reluctant submission and Jenis's constant head aches. As much as it was fun to tug and tease her feelings, especially by mentioning their coming marriage, the two of them were pulling him deeper and deeper into insanity. His parents had returned from Xore only to bare bad news: The Xorian's were not happy with the 'physical abuse' Jenis had put on them! Jenis remembered the day in the grand hall room when he snapped at Delorian for relaying the message.

"That wasn't me! That was Princess's stupid little rat!"

"And yet, sire, the responsibility still rests on your shoulders. Now the fate of Kalerin rests on their decision to attack on any whim."he replied in his monotone voice as usual. Jenis hissed and stormed off, even isolating himself for a couple of hours. He had to respect Ariana when she changed, even though he doubt she would do the same for him, but one day, Jenis stumbled upon the ferret asleep in the court yard...and that was all she wrote.

Hours later, after snagging the writhing thing in a bag with punctured holes, even bite marks covering his fingers, Jenis grabbed Mace and bounded off into the woods. A fire was burning in his head at the chaos the ferret had caused and it was time to do Kalerin some justice. Besides, it calls for more room on my bed, he thought, after literately tossing the bag into a pile of bushes, after loosening it up to let the rodent run free. Thank the Gods that Mace ran faster.
[/DASH]

Ariana continued to read in peace, the world going unnoticed around her. After a few hours she closed her book and looked up at the sky. It was around time for her to have Alfred fed. She remembered seeing the small creature sun bathing in the court yard and slowly made her way towards the area. When she arrived she found the area empty. She looked around there for a bit, assuming Alfred had just moved and so called his name out sweetly.

She called...and called...and called, but there was never a ferret to be seen.

It was then that a look of slight worry crossed the Princess's face, one that showed a weaker side of her. Quickly, dashing into the castle she continued to call for her precious pet, calling his name again and again as she darted down halls and up stairs. The more she called the more frantic she got, vases were broken and carpets flipped...But there was not a single ferret hair to be seen. Time continued on, The staff quickly realizing the distructive path of the princess was not something to step into. They could only watch worriedly as the woman tore up another room, shelves stripped and chairs on their sides, her voice ringing out loud as she yelled for her pet.

"ALFRED!!! AAAAALFRED!!!!"

Her heart beat a mile a minute as she stood in a destroyed room, her eyes glancing frantically around before she darted out of the room, passed the frightful maids and into another sitting room, the process repeating itself as she started to rip things apart once more in her search.

[DASH=green]
It was done. She could have done better than that thing anyway. Someone with as high of a standard as her didn't need a measly rat for a pet anyway. Jenis did her a favor. That was his mantra as he hummed while he made his way back to Kalerin. Even Mace was trotting in a happy step on his way back.

"This calls for a celebration, don't you think, my friend? Maybe an apple for you and a tall glass of wine for me?"he said, smiling and tickling Mace behind his bold, black ears. On cue, the horse whinnied and Jenis let out a hearty laugh from deep within his stomach. Things were looking up. Now with the pest gone, Jenis had no further blame or reason to be blamed. Besides, that thing belonged in the wild as it is. The teeth that sunk into his maids and butlers would now sink into other animals and such. Jenis applauded himself inside his head, trailing Mace back into his stable and making his way to his castle.

That was not a good idea.

The moment Jenis walked in, his boot crunched on the shards of a vase. He looked down for only a moment before a member of the Council pulled Jenis hard by his arm. Jenis's face fell in annoyance at the trash and the hectic tug on his arm.

"Sire! The Princess! She's--"

"Where?"

"I...In the maiden's quarters, sire!" Say no more. Jenis released the man's hold on him and made a bee line to the room, different thoughts and scenarios playing through his head. Was she in trouble or was she the trouble? A couple more steps before Jenis burst into the room to find Ariana frantically throwing items around. He even had to dodge a pillow, glaring at her.

"Have you lost your mind!? What is wrong with you?"he demanded.
[/DASH]

Ariana was frantic, her eyes darting all over the place as she tried to find Alfred. She was starting to lose hope as a weak feeling filled her chest. She blinked her eyes constantly, doing everything she could to hold in the tears she wanted to weep. Her hands reached out and grabbed onto another pillow, tossing it behind her in her panicked and worried filled tear up of the castle. She didn't notice Jenis until he spoke, even then she still didn't look at him as she pounced onto a fine sofa and started to rip that apart as well.

"I can't find him...I can't find him!" She said over and over again as she finished on the couch.

She turned onto the coffee table and with her legs flipped it over in one swift movement. Alfred wasn't there either. She turned and quickly headed towards the door, instantly slipping passed the prince and darting down the hall, only to stop and the room next door and repeat what she had done to the others before it. She first tackled the shelves, pulling out each book and tossing it to the ground, inspecting every page for him.

"I have to find him!"

[DASH=green]
Jenis turned white when she mentioned the 'him'. Alfred. The ferret he had just tossed into the woods for the bigger animals to feed off of. The same ferret that Ariana was ripping his castle apart for. She was in a frenzy of tossing and slamming, searching in ridiculously strange places for the little thing. Jenis's triumph had finally dwindled down into a sinking guilt. He had no idea that she cared for him that much, and didn't even know for what reason! There were plenty of pets that she could choose from. She probably had nothing near the relationship that he shared with Mace.

Jenis watched her fly past him and into the next room, despite his hand hovering in the air in a sad attempt to stop her tirade. She repeated constantly that she had to find find him, even though he was no where to be found. Only Jenis knew that he was hours from there, slinking around a dirty, insect ridden, forest floor.

"I'm...sure he'll turn up sometime today."he said, tentatively walking behind her. He didn't want her to lash out at him with her hand or an item on her ravaging search for Alfred. "It's only mid-afternoon. In the mean time...you mind not trying to destroy my castle? Please?"he said, trying to be as kind an innocent as possible. If she could even hear him through the crashing sounds she was causing.
[/DASH]

Ariana continued in her search for Alfred, Jenis's words going almost unheard as she turned away from the now empty shelves and onto the poor furniture.

"No...No Alfred doesn't do this! He comes when called! He's trained to do that. He would never wander off too far, and certainly not around his meal time...Oh where is he!"
She cried out as she flipped over a chair, tossing the pillows about before moving to the couch. "He's all I got...He's all I have of mother..."

Her voice grew weak and shaky, no long was she able to hold back the coming tears. First one, then another. Soon, they were pouring down her cheeks as she cried, her hands still working at the couch and table in sheer determination. She would not give up! Not by a long shot. She'd find him even if she had to rip this place apart. A strangled sob slipped out as she pushed over another chair, her face flushed and her eyes red as she panted tiredly. She took in a big breath suddenly, anyone close enough to hear it quickly covering their ear before...

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAALFRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

[DASH=green]
Jenis's eyes doubled (maybe tripled) in size when the woman burst out into tears and a very loud ear-splitting scream. The color had not yet returned into his face yet, and he hoped to hell that Ariana did not notice. The little ferret was haunting his thoughts while she screamed out into the room, voice reaching damn near every corner of the castle.

"Hey, Hey! Stop!"he shouted, running over to her and grabbing her by the shoulders. The instant he did, he felt the woman tremble and shake with the last vibrations of her scream and frantically mingled sobs. It pained him to see the Demon Queen fall from her throne so hard, especially due to the missing rat! He caught her saying that Alfred was the only thing she had of her mother, and that's when Jenis began to put two and two together. It was simple math, really. The woman's mother must have died and the only thing that reminded Ariana of her, or gave her any comfort, must have been Alfred.

The ferret that was slung into the forest.

"Ariana. Ariana."he said again, gripping her shoulders more sternly, hiding the look of guilt on his face and trying to console her. "I don't know where he is, but i'll find him. Alright?"he said, lying through his teeth. Hopefully if he left then, he'd be able to ind Alfred somewhere in the dense foliage.
[/DASH]

Ariana struggled a bit stJenis, trying to get away from him so she could get back to her search for her precious little ferret. He was there somewhere and she just had to find him! She sobbed as she squirmed in his hold, her cheeks flushed as she started to push on his chest. He just wouldn't let her go! She paused though in her shaking as he words caught her attention. She blinked once, then again as tears still poured out of her eyes nad down her cheeks.

"You'd....You'd do that? Really?"
She asked him ever so softly.

There, for the first time ever, Jenis would be blessed with a sight no man had ever seen before. Her brown eyes were weak and her cheeks a cherry pick while her eyes were a little red from crying so hard. She was shaking a broken looking, like a puppy that had just been orphaned. For once, Airana's feminine side came out and when it came out, it came out strongly. She let out a weak sniffle as another tear ran down her plump cheeks, her shoulders lowering slightly as she tilted her head down, tired from her rushing around.

[DASH=green]
"Do I have much of a choice? You're going to start ripping people apart if I don't."he asked, letting the question linger. She was a terrible, horrid mess, and, strangely, he was not enjoying it. Any other time, he would capture the moment and burn it into his memory, forever reminding her that she crumpled into his arms over her ferret. Jenis did not feel that way. He was cold but not heartless. Sure, he lied some times, and was even lying now, but at a good cost. Honestly, he would be going back to find the ferret, even though he told her that he had no idea where Alfred was. Ariana was not stable enough to scrutinize his features to determine whether he was lying or not. The only thinking on her mind was the return of her companion. Jenis loosened the grip on her shoulders and chucked his fingers under her chin, giving her the best reassuring smile he could manage.

"Just give me some time. Alfred will be home soon." he said. The words tasted like salt when they passed through his teeth. Damn me for a sentimental fool... He had nothing more to tell her and wanted nothing more than to be out of the room. The air was suffocating him and the sight of the trash that was littered everywhere was teetering him off of the edge. The sooner he went back for Alfred, the sooner things could return to their normal chaos. This chaos was going overboard for him and he found no humor in it. The only thing he felt as he rushed out of those double doors to his castle was a disgusting guilt. A guard or two reached out for him to tell him of the state of things, but Jenis waved them off.

"Watch the princess and remember to dodge."he exclaimed over his shoulder, legs pumping as fast as he could to the outer stables. Mace would not be too pleased to know that they were going to be retracing their steps in hopes to find what the two of them had only abandoned minutes ago, but Mace was not the prince of Kalerin. If giving her Alfred back made him a gram less of a barbarian in her eyes, he would hop to the offer. With that, Jenis jingled the stable keys out of his pocket and unlocked Mace who was grazing on the apple Jenis had promised earlier. The horse reared its head and whinnied in curiosity. Jenis sighed, wiping his face with one hand and boarding the horse at the same time.

"Just follow the scent."he ordered, not needing to say another word as Mace bound out of the castle and to the forest to rewind time.
[/DASH]

Ariana only was silent as Jenis spoke, having lost the urge to speak at all as he said he'd find him. A small part of her wanted to be mad, to be angry at herself for giving in and accepting the barbaric prince's help. However, this wasn't just some simple task, this was about the most precious thing in the world, Alfred. If he promised to return him then she would hold him to his word and accept every bit of help that he offered. She watched as he ran off, still standing in the same place he left her. She didn't move for some time, in fact a weary group of maids risked poking at the girl and bringing her back out of her dazed state.

After telling her that the prince would keep his word that suggested that she return to the bedroom and relaxed as they cleaned up, also saying they'd keep an eye out for the ferret as well for her. They made a good point, she did need to relax. The lose of her pet made her shaky and weak and terribly pale, the only color being in her cheeks from all her crying. With an absentminded nod, she did as told as a maid gently guided her out of the mess and torn up room. As they walked to the stairs, other servants were working as well on the clean up from her wild rampage for her precious compainion.

Once she arrived in the room, the maid scurried off only to return with a pitcher of cold water and a small bowl to wash her face in, along with a cloth. The maid seemed to see the distress and patted her shoulder gently, saying that the prince would do as he said. Though she didn't want to believe her, she had no choice, if she didn't then she might never see Alfred again. Finally feeling the tiredness caused by her crying, she soaked the cloth of cool water, wringing it out slightly before placing it over her eyes and forehead. She then laid down, breathing slowly as she started to drift off into a calming sleep, leaving teh work to the servants and Jenis.

[DASH=green]
The ride was about half of an hour in time and Jenis could not help but to become worried. It was a good thing that it was getting darker, making it easier to see a white rat in the opaque forest, but not too thrilled about knowing what Ariana could be doing to his castle. When he left her, she was still a disheveled mess. Hopefully his staff had found a way to soothe her worriment if his words did nothing to console her. Mace had long since brushed off the annoyance of being pulled out of his stable to go on a wild treasure hunt for the ferret. Jenis said nothing at all while they came to a stop in the woods, looking around for any sign of the little guy. Unfortunately, they saw nothing.

Jenis hopped off of Mace, patting his snout while he walked around the trees, lifting up leaves and scanning through bushes. No dice. Even Mace was prodding past things, keeping his dark eyes open for any sign of the ferret. The night had no completely come, but it was starting to get cold. Jenis was only wearing a cotton shirt, due to the fact that he had no business things to do that day except for the Council meeting. There was a sinking feeling that he hadn't felt in a while. What if something happened to him after Jenis threw him out into the woods.

"No...No Alfred doesn't do this! He comes when called! He's trained to do that."

Jenis stopped in his tracks, looking around the bushes and not making a sound. Mace stopped on the dime in the same manor.

"Alfred?
"he called out, letting his voice travel as far as it could. It wasn't a yell but it was loud enough to be heard. Simultaneously, a scurry was hard somewhere to Jenis's left. He reacted quickly, kneeling down and shooting his hand into a bush, grabbing onto a furry creature, hoping that it was--

"OW!"he snapped when he felt sharp teeth meet him in return. Yes, it was him alright. The poor thing was covered in mud and s inty bit of blood, but Jenis had no tome to sympathize. Holding him enough to shove him into his satchel on Mace's saddle, Jenis whipped the reigns and Mace peeled off to the tower.
[/DASH]

Upon his return, Jenis would be luckily enough to find the castle returning to its former order. All the broken vases and non saveable items had been swept up and taken away, while workers from the city were working on fixing broken chairs and dented tables. Some chain makers were also flowing around the halls, putting out new vases that were similar to the old ones. The staff made it clear that they would have the place looking like it had been before Ariana had gone on her rampage. Some maids were also going about and cleaning up as usual, while others prepared the main dining hall for a meal for two. It seemed that they were still under the impression that Jenis would have Ariana eat with him.

The Princess herself though was peacefully asleep, sweet dreams of her past keeping her calm. A couple of maids fluttered about, leaving behind another dress for her evening mean and some jewelry options. Though as they went about their business, Ariana did not awake. She had cried the hardest she had even hand in a long time, almost to the point where it was shameful in her opinion. But the cry was rather needed and seemed to give her a light feeling inside of her. No longer did she feel weighed down by anger, however she still wasn't so keen about being forced to marry the prince.

A small snore slipped out as she turned a bit, the maids stepping out and slipping down the hall quietly without as much as a word. Leaving the princess to lay alone and dream what ever she wished to dream.
