Molan Coyr of the Brass Knights:

A veteran of the Heijar Conflicts of 234 R.D.E., the single son of the Duke of Callsteim has amassed much more combat experience than his young appearence would suggest. Unlike so many other knigths and warwitches of the Brass Junction who achieved their titles of Sirs and Syres in the comfort of the Centralized Kingdom's political-martial arena, he proved his "metal" to the King directly in the battlefield of the eastern fronts -first fighting deep in the caverns, then defending the surface garrisons from the advancing Dwarves once the caves were lost to them.

First by the might of his blade, then by the skill of his leadership, his trials in the rather precarious and, according to popular reports amongst common warriors, thoroughly terrifying war theater of eastern Mossonia have advanced his career much faster than he himself expected; according to some, too fast for his own good.
Many battalion commanders frown at the thought of having such a young and "fresh" lad administering one of their units, and it appears his overall maturity has failed to catch up to his martial maturity. However, cases of his immaturity getting the best of him are rare; at least in the battlefield. Molan himself has accidently fed his bad reputation from time to time, to much of his own embarrasment, as many scandalized witches (in the Halls and even in the battlefields) are eager to report.
Details left aside, his impulses still take hold of his young mind from time to time, and the noble sorceresses of the Kingdom always appear to be right in the line of fire when that happens. It is quite a miracle he hasnt had his pretty, flaxen hair burned by a magefire spell yet.

It is also in these moments (and these moments only) that he rejoices having a noble birth to catch his falls. Although his father, Duke Jord, may have been estranged from him for a good while now, he still steps up to cover his son's sporadic "slips"; if anything, just to keep the family name (as) clean (as it could be at this point.)

Friendships have surged and dwindled with the ongoing hostilities, even after the official war has ended, between the Kingdom and the city-states of Mossonia, but the young warrior's smily, happy-go-lucky stance on life hasnt weakened yet. Much life still pulses in his veins, and his personal philosophy is, quite evidently to anyone who would meet him (specially the ladies), to harvest that energy while it's still there.

Name: Roland Vagier

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Occupation: Heir to the Throne of Surland turned mercenary for hire.

Species: Human

Personality: Stoic and hates being told what to do. When he sees indecision in others he cannot help but be disgusted, since a single heartbeat in making a choice could mean the end of someone's life. The real surprising thing about this man is that while he looks like he is constantly thinking up new ways to kill you he laughs loudly and uncontrollably at the stupidest of jokes.

History: Roland was raised second in line for the throne of the Kingdom of Surland when his eldest brother, Atlas, mysteriously disappeared. It was then that he was informed that he would become the new heir. Since that didn't really fit in with the life he had imagined for himself, one inside the church, he too ran away from his kingdom. He now spends his days hunting down his brother Atlas so that he can drag him back to their father for punishment and so that Surland can have it's true king to see it through the tough time ahead. He hires himself out as a mercenary, but only takes jobs that either push him further towards his goal or get him into contact with powerful people that can help him out for a price.

Equipment: A scythe (the weapon of the deity he worships), shabby breastplate with the symbol of a raven on it (for his deity, the Goddess of knowledge and death), and a skull mask (to show that as a member of the church he hunts down any walking corpse)

Abilities and Skills: As a member of Surland's church, a group that worships Elsoreth the Goddess of Knowledge and Death, Roland is know as a Grave Knight. This comes with the ability to sense undead, be very good at killing undead, and the ability to feed off the energy of any living person he might kill. While he is not a very charismatic prince he is very good at intimidating people into getting the information he wants.

Strengths: Other than being strong in both faith and physical aspect? Not many.

Weaknesses: In exchange for his ability to combat the undead Roland has given up a piece of his soul. He cannot willing do good for the sake of good. He is also a coward, hence running away from the throne, and hides behind his faith.

Other: Once he finds his brother he plans to return to the church and take it over from the inside.

Lord Zachary Newland
Eldest son of the King's most trusted adviser and friend, set to inherit his father's titles and lands upon his death.

28 years old, 6' tall and 220 pounds. Strong and handsome, clever and gifted intellectually. Book learning has always come easy to him, as have physical exploits of all kinds.

Zachary is well liked among the gentry and at court. His charm and gentle manners only add to his good looks, attracting many of the daughters of the other families. Sadly however, Zachary is not interested in settling on a wife just yet. He is determined to prove himself a worthy successor to his father. Those very same good looks that have all the women falling at his feet as the bane of his military existence. Hardened warriors see him and scoff at him, thinking his face too pretty for war and equating that face with vapid ignorance of anything worthy . So he is now trying to instigate any kind of battle he can in order to get some scars as evidence that he is not just a dandy court member.
