  Location

  Nara, historical town that is situated South-West to the capital of Japan, Tokyo. It is known for its large population of not humans, but deer. But it also is known for its infamous all-boys school, White Rose High.
  
  
  
  History

  White Rose High, founded in 1961 by ironically, Hana Kuronoma, a first-generation doctor who had lived there her whole life after her father had married an American during his service in the Second World War. She had originally founded this then missionary school to aid families who did not have the financials to send their daughters for education in their small town. After a decade, many well to do families begin to protest again White Rose High, questioning as to why their sons were not allowed to enrol in this school that was within the vicinity of their town. As such, protests and riots were left to unfold and the Magistrate of Nara ruled that White Rose High was to be a co-ed institution.
  
  The families who had originally sent their daughters to White Rose High for free education begin to pull their daughters out of school as defiance. Slowly, White Rose High had become one of the most prestigious high schools for boys in Nara.

  Nara's White Rose High is currently the top secondary school in Japan's Prefecture of Nara, in south-central Hanshu. It is praised for its curriculum-specialised programme that is run throughout the school years of a student. The high school mandates that each student picks a field that he wishes to specialise in or even explore in his teenage years as extra curriculum- Arts, Sports and Science. And during their four years of schooling at White Rose High, students are obligated to collect a thousand points for their respective field each in order to be to graduate successfully. But do note that points can be deducted from any student for misconduct or any action of that sort.

  Music, writing, dance, you name it.
  
  This particular field makes use of the brain's right hemisphere to perform tasks that require creativity and arts. Choosing to join this field enables one to collect points from which a teacher sees it fit from your work (only applicable to art subjects) as well as allow you to be rewarded from joining clubs and events that involve arts. For example, joining the band, helping out backstage for a concert and even sending an art piece to a museum for possible display.

  Want to have fun in the great outdoors and be rewarded for doing so? This is the field for you!
  
  Did you know that being the quarterback on the football team and playing to represent your school guarantees a 50 point addition to your field every month?

  This field is meant for those who are active physically and have a knack for adventure and anything sports.

  Tired of being the so-called 'bookworm' and not being able to accumulate any points because no one appreciates intelligence? The Science field is a guaranteed to be your cash, or rather, points cow.
  
  Joining this field will enable you to stack up points weekly if you are the type to gain favour from your teacher or blow anyone away from your immense knowledge of the Universe. Nao enjoys dancing because it reminds her of when she was younger. Her parents used to take her to ballet recitals when they visited her mother's parents in Russia. It also served as a reminder of a time when she used to dance ballet before she quit when she was 13 years old.

• Listening to Instrumental music​

She has always ever listened to music without vocals, whether it may be the remix version of a particular song or just symphonic music. Nao has never fancied songs with artists singing. The music usually does not calm her nerves and she feels like someone is talking to her.

• Hiking​

Even though Nao wouldn't consider herself the most outdoorsy person, she really enjoyed hiking early in the morning. The feel of the cold air hitting her skin makes her day.

It never seized to fail Nao how vast the ocean is. Five percent of it is only what humans have discovered. Who knew what could possibly lie beyond it?

Nao has never liked Barney. Or the Teletubbies. Even Banana in Pyjamas. They actually scared her when she was younger. She gets scared occasionally too.

Colorful wigs, face caked with a thick layer of white foundation, a huge red nose and a creepy smile. How could children possibly find clowns friendly and amusing, Nao wondered.

Likes:​

• Potatoes​

It is full of carbohydrates but nevertheless, Nao loves it. It could be in any form, whether mashed, peeled, fried, she would eat it.

• Puzzle games​

She isn't a gamer, nor is she completely oblivious to the existence of games. She just preferred games that actually worked her mind. For example, chess and even certain simulation games.

• Seasonal greeting cards​

Nao didn't know why, maybe because of aesthetics, but she really enjoys collecting greeting cards, especially holiday-themed ones. Maybe it was because of the colors.

Dislikes:

• Avocados​

She could never understand why in the world Americans loved those green mushy and almost egg-textured like fruits. Plus, it sometimes smells weird.

• Statistics​

There are times where people come up with their own statistics for their own advantage and worse, some people actually believe them.

• Being called cute (mostly)​

Considering she only had a twin brother, many a time she would hang out with his friends and himself. As such, because of her height, as well, some of his friends would call her cute and treat her like a doll.

Personality:
Nao Yoshida has a fiery exterior as she is very hot tempered and tries to act more fierce than her size and height allows her to, almost always counting on her friends to calm her down. Contrary to that, she has a bubbly personality whereby she tries to make friends with everyone. The female can also be quite dense when it comes to love or anything romance considering she has never engaged in a relationship before, nor does she enjoy most things romantic-genre, except free chocolate. Nao is sometimes seen as blunt or too honest at times because she does not see the point in beating around the bush, as such, there are some who might interpret her as rude. Despite her open personality, she is the type of person who can hold grudges until the end of time without any intention of forgiveness and because of that, she is quite sensitive.

History:
Nao's parents met when her mother, a freelance writer from Russia, had to collaborate with her father's photography company. Long story short, the two fell in love and her mother moved to Japan after getting married in Russia. After a few years of marriage, they were blest with fraternal twins- Nao, and her brother, Naoki. Their family was a happy one even though they weren't rich. But the happiness was short-lived when her mother found out that she had stage 2 breast cancer.

Her mother is currently living in America with her father as the hospitals there are considerably more advanced than the ones in Japan. The cost of medicine there is not as expensive too, considering her father has an uncle who lives there. Currently, Nao is living in an apartment unit five minutes away from White Rose High and Naoki is in America, alongside their parents, after having met with an accident and is in his recovery stage.

Self Introduction:
"Hello there, my name is Nao Yoshida! Or should I say my name is supposed to be Naoki Yoshida but my brother is a careless prick who met with an accident and now I am forced to live his life until he gets better?

In any case, you can just call me Nao, or Na-chan. Some of my close friends call me Nana, hehe. You see, I was supposed to go to Nara Gakuen High School that's about half an hour from White Rose High, but because Naoki is in America recuperating, I had no choice but to sub in for him. I know what you're asking. Why can't he defer until next year? Well, his injuries are quite bad considering he almost broke his backbone and became paralysed. You see, he drove when he was drunk and you know what happened next. Besides, his physiotherapist said that he would take two years to recover. If he was lucky, a year and a half. And, my brother isn't a very good student. My father had to appeal to White Rose High to give my brother a chance at studying in a high school, considering every other high school rejected him. As such, he could not afford to defer. And it isn't as though I had anything else better to do besides heading to our town's school. I guess that is all that's happening to me for now.

Oh yeah, my father and mother don't know that I'm taking Naoki's place at White Rose High too. Only Naoki, myself and my father's grandmother. I better act like I'm a guy, if not, I would be found out too."

Sports. Connor just enjoys them. Football, rugby, golf, they're all equally fun to him. It would explain why he's crammed a lot of sports related clubs in. Or he just wants to quickly get all the points.
Animal care. Connor loves animals, and he often volunteers at the local shelter. And though he loves all animals, dogs are his favorite. Even the meanest dog can be turned into a teddy bear if given enough time and attention.

Fears:
Spiders. Connor has a serious case of arachnophobia. He hates those things. To many legs, to many eyes, to hairy, just creepy.
Needles. He hates getting shots, and he has never given blood of his own free will.
Likes:
Connor likes being physically active.

Long, awkward silence.
Personality: Connor very much just goes with the flow. He doesn't try to succeed and is content at being average. He doesn't go out of his way looking for fights, but he doesn't shy away from them either. And if people call him underachieving, he corrects them by saying he's realistic. The way he looks at it, there are billions of people out there in the world all trying to make a name for themselves and get famous one way or another. So the odds of him getting famous are next to none. He's come to accept this fact and is surprised that other people haven't realized it yet.
History: Connor was born in Ireland, and stayed there until the end of Elementary School. Around that time his parent's marriage was falling apart. However, they wanted to try and rebuild it, at least prop it up. So they figured sending Connor to live with his aunt on his mom's side in Japan was a good idea, that the reason their marriage was falling apart was because they had to deal with Connor and figured that some time away from him was in order. Connor's aunt, Auntie Shu, was of course disgusted by this and refused to relinquish him when they wanted him back. "He is a human being, and more importantly your child. If you blame him for your problems then you aren't good people or good parents." she told them over the phone in her broken English, driving the point home that she would not return her sisters son to her.

Connor doesn't fully understand why he isn't back in Ireland by now, but his 'oh well' attitude means he doesn't care to much. And he can speak Japanese well enough, he can at least form sentences. Only the really big words give him problems. And kanji isn't to hard either, he just has to ask someone.

"Hello, names Connor McKinley, nice to meet you. Oh, it's one of those introductions, where I can't just shake your hand and leave it at that. You Japanese are a real stickler for 'proper' introductions, you know that?

Well, if you haven't already noticed by my lovely accent, I'm from Ireland. You know, that place that's almost on the other side of the world. So why am I here, you might ask. I dunno. One day my mom and dad gave me a ticket and told me to go to Japan to live with my aunt and uncle and I haven't been given a ticket to go back yet. Not that I mind, the weather is better down here anyways. A lot less fog, and not as much rain."

Auntie Shu, Connor's aunt and effectively his mother. She can't speak English fluently, only knowing a few words and sentences really, but can understand it easily. She is the ruler of her house and will suffer no fools
Uncle Taro, Connor's uncle and effectively his father. Unlike his wife, Uncle Taro can fluently speak English, though sometimes the wording is just slightly off. Compared to his wife, if she is the ruler of the house, he is the fool. But he's often the mediator between guests and his wife, acting as her mouth piece so she doesn't accidentally offend anyone.

Reading is Kazuya's favorite thing to do. He can become engrossed in his books so much that he tunes out the rest of the world, often leading people to think he's ignoring them. He tends to look displeased when interrupted but he actually enjoys talking about what he reads. He'll occasionally read manga but prefers literature. Outside of school he'll use headphones and listen to music while reading.

Exercising

Kazuya likes to train his body as a way to better himself. It raises his self esteem and generally makes him feel better about himself. He wakes up early just to be able to go jogging before school. He doesn't overly train but instead just does enough to keep up a good lean physique. It also helps balance out how often he's lazying around with a book.

Cooking

Cooking is a very recent hobby for Kazuya. For the past three years he microwaved most of his food but now has started trying to cook recipes he finds online. Though sometimes he deviates from it and tries his own version to make the meal a bit more personal. He likes his food, but since no one else has tried it he's a bit hesitant on letting people try his cooking.

Fears:

Heights

Particularly when he can see the ground and the realization that one slip could spell a broken neck. He tries to stay towards the center of anywhere too high up and not focus on the ground. Planes are fine mid flight, but he gets incredibly uneasy during landing and take off.

Medication

Kazuya tries his best to avoid getting sick. He doesn't like the idea of putting something foreign into his body to somehow make him better. Also because the shots just hurt. And medicine just tastes bad.

Likes:

Steak

Steak, as Kazuya would put it, is the epitome of meaty goodness. He'll have steak at minimum once every week and would have it even more if it weren't so expensive. His landlord gives him permission to use a grill in the small lawn where he lives so he can prepare it himself.

Swimming

Swimming is the best way for Kazuya to relax. Even just soaking in the bath is good, but swimming around in a pool or at the beach is an experience he never grows tired of.

Animals

Kazuya loves animals, from dogs and cats to frogs and snakes. He never owned any pets, but he'd play with the neighborhood dogs and cats all the time. He'd watch snakes slither around and guide frogs out of the streets. He'd seen almost as many deers as he had dogs and even managed to get a few to come close to him by being still with some food in his hand. Animals seemed to naturally like him too.

Dislikes:

Spicy hot foods

In Kazuya's experience with cooking he quickly determined his tongue couldn't handle anything too spicy. Spices are well and good, but too much and his mouth is on fire. Needless to say he avoids things like peppers.

Fights

Kazuya doesn't like to fight, but he also doesn't like to see other people getting into fights either, which ironically has gotten him into fights as he tries to break them up. He always tries to look for an alternate solution before someone has to get hurt, but won't hesitate if there's no other choice.

Judging by reputation

Something that never sits right with Kazuya is judging someone before you know them. He dislikes when people do it to him before they've even talked to him and always reserves his own judgment on other people until he speaks to them himself.

Personality:

Kazuya wants to be a nice guy, get along with everyone, and have plenty of friends. The problem is that Kazuya is actually pretty shy so he doesn't talk to many people and his occasional attempts to do so have him bumbling out words that often just makes him seem weird. The people that do talk to him however will find a great friend, as Kazuya values his friends very highly. He strives to do what's right even if no one else does which leads to him attempting to break up fights between the other boys. This often gets misinterpreted as him just looking to join a fight, giving him the false reputation of a troublemaker. Being a year older doesn't help matters as people will come up with their own delinquent-like reason for him to have been held back a year.

He's very forgiving but hates to be played a fool. If his kindness is taken advantage of he'll most likely never trust the person again and possibly be pushed to violence. He gets angry at bullies and the like that hurt other people. He's always willing to try something new, within reason of course, and likes to discover new experiences.

Lacking experience with talking to people, he can sometimes come off as too blunt. He doesn't like to lie and has trouble saying anything but the truth, even if the truth can be harsh. He's virtually clueless about romance, but does enjoy reading romance books. He wants to try talking to girls but his social awkwardness makes it harder for him to approach them.

Kazuya's parents are what you would call high school sweethearts, falling in love, going to prom, starting a family and having an only child as early as 18 years old. They were told it was too early to have a child but they didn't listen, because they were in love. Except a few years later it turned out they were not so in love. Living from paycheck to paycheck their bills began piling up, stress increased, and tensions rose as they tried to balance working jobs and taking care of a son. And then the arguments started, and then the fights.

At the age of 13 his parents divorced and neither were in a shape to take care of him. His grandparents put together their expenses however and let him stay in an apartment his granddad owned, free of rent until he was old enough to work and pay a job himself. As a thirteen year old his grandparents checked on him often, and even his parents stopped by occasionally, but he learned to take care of himself far earlier than he should have. Given his situation, he was allowed in White Rose High on the condition he stay behind a year and study enough to pass an entrance exam to prove he didn't need parental guidance. So he did and now he's been accepted at the age of 16.

Hobbies​

• Writing - James enjoys and excels at writing as his primary focus in the Arts field, typically writing all sorts of things, from short stories to formal essays, manuscripts, and so on. His favorite things to write, though he'd never admit it, are stories to do with romance and outline pitches for television shows or movies. On the other hand, his least favorite thing to write is poetry, though he is as good at that as anything else, supposedly.​
• Piano - Though he's not as good as playing the piano as he is with writing, it is something James also enjoys doing, and is fairly skilled at it. Favorite song to play is Debussy's Clair de Lune. Currently learning Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.​

• Bugs - Mostly the ones that sting, like bees and wasps, though he'll also practically have a heart attack if he sees a cockroach, especially a flying one at that. He fears them to the point that if he sees one flying about, he'll even stop mid-sentence just to get away from it.​
• Failure - James is determined to succeed in everything he puts his mind to through any means possible. He intends to avoid any sort of academic failure, claiming that if he were to make any sort of major mistake on anything, he would "lose the right" to attend White Rose.​

Likes

• Eating - Though it should be something that essentially everyone should enjoy, James notably loves eating. He eats not just when he's hungry, but when he feels the need for inspiration, when he's bored, when he's stressed, and everything in between. He enjoys all sorts of meats (including seafood), most fruits, and certain vegetables. He also claims to have a separate stomach for sweets and other snacks as well.​
• Video games - James's favorite way to pass the time. He plays all sorts of genres and types of games, from shooters to fighting games and more. He says that video games also serve as a good way for him to keep his brain active and alert, as well as his fingers to remain flexible for piano, and while all that might be true to a degree, it's far more likely that he's only saying that to justify him enjoying playing a lot of video games.​

• Reading - Despite his skill and passion for writing, while some certainly find it odd and for good reason, James doesn't like reading all that much. That is, reading substantial amounts of text, such as books, boring articles, wordy comics / manga, and so on. He claims that he doesn't need to read other books or pieces from other writers in order to examine other writing styles and improve as a writer, as he claims that he is good enough as he is. Whether or not this is actually true remains to be seen. Of course, this also means that he doesn't like editing his own works though, which can lead to some basic errors here and there.​
• Physical activity - Perhaps to be expected of his somewhat scrawny physique, James isn't really a physical kind of person. He runs slow, gets tired fast, all that jazz. Not that he really thinks it's a problem, as he claims that no matter how much he eats, he never seems to gain a notable amount of weight, which he describes as "like a superpower."​
• Neglect - As a rather self-centered person, James notably dislikes it when people ignore him, more than the average person would. Some would call this aspect of him petty, but the sentiment of being given attention is evidently important to him. On top of that, he abhors being what he perceives to be actively undermined, holding great pride in himself in that regard.​

Personality

James is something of an oddball, an unbalanced young man who tries to get by with what he has. Perhaps the most striking trait to him is his large ego. Though he frequently makes jokes about it, there's little doubting that James thinks rather highly of himself, and he is aware of how pompous he can come off as, though he isn't boastful to the degree of being too offensive (though he has his flippant moments). It's not known if this is deliberate or not. Vain as he might be, he isn't a "bad" person, though admittedly, the chances of him doing any sort of favor for anyone else greatly depends on how he would be benefited as well, illustrating a further sense of selfish thinking. James holds himself in high esteem, or in other words, holds a lot of pride. He takes it personally when jokes are made by others at his expense, and even more than that, dislikes it when he feels patronized by others. In short, James genuinely takes his own well-being very seriously, possibly leading one to wonder if this truly is a normal kind of narcissism.

Another striking trait to James is his bipolar tendencies. Though it may be difficult to notice at first, it is evident that he has some sort of condition like that, generally waking up on certain days either jarringly high-spirited and tolerant or overly melancholy and irritable, and if not either, then some sort of area between the two that includes being perpetually deadpan or, dare one say, "normal." However, if there's one thing constant about him besides his ego, James seems to hold a cynical view of other people, placing doubt in those who are generally not out for themselves as, in his own words, anyone who would adopt such an unselfish point of view is just asking to be taken advantage of. Like many others, he is often capable of being blunt, not liking beating around the bush, but while for most others who might not know any better, James simply doesn't care, "saying it as it is" from his perspective being the best approach.

For all his traits however, it is easy to assume that James is something of an asshole, simply put. However, he can be surprisingly sensitive about matters of other people if he can relate to them, and beneath his ego, there's certainly more to him than meets the eye...

History

Born to a Japanese father and an American mother, James grew up under strained circumstances. As both of his parents worked high-paying, albeit time-consuming, jobs, while James hardly wanted for much in his childhood as far as wealth went, but one could say he was neglected in his childhood. Though there was little doubt his parents loved him, at least from an observer's point of view, James never felt it, even as a small child, often feeling abandoned and forgotten, and quickly developing the skills to take care of himself. That's the basic gist of it all, at least.

If one would want to go more in-depth about James, he doesn't talk much about his social experiences as a youth, let alone his earlier life in general, but if pressed enough about it, he'll at least relent that he wasn't always the way he is now, and that he "developed" into who he is presently over time because of those who had influenced him.

Presently, James's mother is on a business trip in America, leaving his father to take care of James alone at the moment, though with his work hours already being strenuous, it matters little either way to the son.

Personality: Tekkie's personality and thoughts are always a mystery as he hardly communicates with anyone. It is believed that "The lights are on but no body's home" even though Tekkie can sit for hours at a time and create beautiful art pieces and sculptures. He seems like he's more conscious when his hands are working and normally will shy away from people unless they are trying to play with him or if they have candy.
