My partner @Camleen and I have a small dilemma. We want to put together another group roleplay, but since our most recent interest check failed to garner attention we thought we would put out an assortment of our roleplay ideas, and see what gets the most interest before moving forward.
So we have a short synopsis for each idea. We want you to not only vote for which you are interested in but post it below, so that when we decide on one we can message you. Also please post questions, we love playing QnA as well.
UPDATE: On 1-21-19 at 8pm CST I will close the poll and determine then which RP Plot we will be running. That will be determined by not just votes, but how many expressed their vote in a post as well to weed out those less dedicated who maybe only browsed everything.
Marauders
Similar to the movie Galaxy Quest, except the cast will have been for a show similar to Firefly. This will involve a lot of pre-rp planning and development on our characters and their previous relationships.
DC Academy
The Justice Society of America. This group of heroes served America, and the world, from their emergence in the Great Depression, through the Second World War facing threats too outlandish for most ordinary citizens and governments to deal with. The 50's were their Golden Age, but as the world progressed to the 80's some of the more mortal members, and even some of those with otherworldly abilities, found themselves too old to be running headlong into newer stronger villains.
And so it was Doctor Fate's idea to find, gather, and educate a new generation of heroes to carry on the good works of the Justice Society.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Set in the lead-up to WW1, let's make something wayyy better than the Hollywood movie. Open to literary, folklore, Universal monsters.
DC 1776
DC characters in the American Revolution.
Anime Crossover
Someone, or multiple people, are causing chaos in the multiverse. A mass breakout in the Spirit World, heroes being turned suddenly into villains. Who is doing this? How can they be stopped?
Star Wars
Your character is recruited/hired by the Republic to aid in finding/ending Separatists on the Outer Rim (since they know the territory and the forces at work). But during the operation, Order 66 is handed down. The Clone Troopers abruptly turn on their Jedi comrades, slaughtering most of them. But… our stalwart characters of questionable repute fight back against what they see before them. The group starts out as separate entities, but find their only chance to escape is aboard the ship captained by Joraahir. So they then become a reluctant crew. What's more… one of the survivors is a Jedi that was targeted, but saved by the mercs. At the same time, another of the crew will be Force sensitive.
LARP For Reals!
A small group of people are participating in a LARP session in a park, when they seem to be engulfed in lightning. They are all instantly transported hundreds of years into the past, into a world of fantasy. Their LARP gear is suddenly real, and they all now have new abilities and powers.
New Mutants of Appalachia(Crossover with Fallout and X-Men)
The year is 2102. It's been 25 years since The Great War put an end to the United States of America that had stood for 301 years. In those intervening years humans managed to survive outside the security of a Vault. In caves, in bunkers, some of the very lucky were even well enough outside the blast zone of any nukes to have done so in their own home basements. This happened all across America, but our story concerns the former state of West Virginia.
The survivors here faced a greater threat than any other group, The Scorched. They are not one breed of creature or being, but many infected by a disease spread under the wings of draconic mutated bats seemingly springing forth from the bowels of Hell itself. The Scorched are many creatures united by a disease, and a creed: There can only be The Scorched. If a thing lived that was not Scorched, they would end it.
The Appalachian chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel stood the most chance against these monstrosities, but even they fell because they stood alone. And like dominos the rest of the survivors either died fighting the Scorched, or became Scorched.
Then Vault 76 opened its doors, and its residents scattered across this death-laden land to rebuild America as they'd been trained during their time in the Vault. They faced The Scorched, feral ghouls, and other creatures mutated by either experiments such as Super Mutants, or radiation.
Some of these former Vault Dwellers however, found they had a peculiar reaction to the radiation they have to face daily to scrounge together a living. They became stronger in some ways, even as they grew weak in others. These people don't ghoulify like some unfortunate souls do. They became something else, something between humans and the mutated fauna of the land. They're not like the Super Mutants bent on violence and destruction. They are still humans with complex minds and motivations, only now they have mutated to possess power unlike any seen before in the world now in ruins.
