Aerilin Jones was hot this morning, the sun was shining down on the ship and no matter where she stood she was hot. She had already pulled her long brown hair up into a bun on her head but that was doing nothing for her. She stood at the railing of the cruise ship SS Fun For All, and watched the waves for miles, glad that she wasnt sea sick. She had been selected for this cruise because she was such a hard worker, and just being here was killing her. Sure they had reassured her that she would not lose any grade points on this trip that was going to last two weeks, but there was still so much that she could be doing. She stood in her bikini at the railing, watching waves and pondering her in her thoughts trying to figure out what she wanted to do. She finally decided to just get it over with and go check out the pool, she hadnt done it yet, because she was afraid that it would be over run with people and she wasnt very good with a whole bunch of people staring at her. She had a perfect body and was absolutely beautiful, or at least to others she was, to herself she wasnt so sure.

Walking across the deck, she looked off to the other side of the cruise ship and saw something on the horizon that gave her goosebumps. A horrible looking storm that covered the expansion of the sky that she could see completely, headed their way. She knew that this cruise ship could withstand a storm, they were built for that, but it was still scary to see a storm of what appeared to be of a high magnitude heading right for them. Getting to the pool she tried to tear her mind away from the storm and focus on the pool, which was actually pretty empty there was only a couple of people on the other side talking to eachother, and they paid her no mind. Slipping into the pool, she smiled to herself, the water was that perfect temperature.

While Aerilin had just gotten into the pool, Jackson had been in it for the last half hour. He had claimed himself a one person pool raft and had been floating there, enjoying the sun and warmth. He had gotten so comfortable in fact that he decided this would be an opportune time to doze off, and so for the next fifteen minutes or so, he just lazily floated along as he snoozed his day away, his sunglasses sitting on his face slightly crooked. This was the first cruise he had ever been on, and was nervous at first, but soon enough warmed up to the idea of two weeks of sun and waves. He realized this would be the perfect way to unwind after being a voice in his first ever animated movie, all the red carpet walking and photo ops were definitely tiring. But hey! All in a days work as they say.

His unconscious self stirred as a stray wave splashed a little water on him, and made the fatal mistake to turn while he slept. The little amount of surface that the raft provided did not support much tossing and turning, and so without any resistance, the six foot four college guy fell into the pool with a small 'sploosh'. This caused him to jerk up out of the water, sputtering and coughing in surprise as his mind tried to process how he ended up in the water. To make matters worse, his sunglasses no longer were resting on his face, and he began scanning the pool for any trace of them, being a rather expensive gift from his friends when they broke the surprise to him that they nominated him for the cruise. Little did he know as he looked in the opposite direction, the sunglasses were floating straight toward Aerilin.

Finn headed up the stairs, only to see the beautiful brunette girl standing by the railings. She seemed to be so peaceful, as she looked out over into the waves, dressed in a bikini. He was tempted to go and talk to her, but before he had the chance, she headed off across the deck to the other side of the cruise ship. Sighing, he walked towards the railing where she had been standing moments before, looking out onto the ocean with a grin on his face. He had only got a place on the cruise by a narrow margin, since his painting had been accepted into the Pinacoteca di Brera gallery in Milan merely three days before nominations stopped. But now, with the wind blowing gently in his air, he was able to appreciate the beauty of the ocean. He heard the sound of thunder in the opposite direction, although it was very distant. Turning around and walking on, he could see the black clouds and a streak of lightning, and smirked. A storm. They weren't uncommon, but it would put an end to the sunny spell they had endured. Although he had to admit, he loved rain, and wouldn't mind staying out to resist it. Walking over to the pool, he smiled to himself when he watched the larger man fall into the water, the raft flicking into the air as his weight pushed down at the edge.

He continued to watch, amused, as he searched around for his sunglasses. Perhaps it was his frantic movements which prevented him from seeing that they were floating towards the beautiful girl he had seen moments earlier. He walked towards the edge of the pool close to where she was and pointed them out with a finger.

"Sorry, miss," he said, trying to be as formal and polite as he could be. He was aware that some of the others who had got places on the cruise came from money, and were most likely posher than he was. It was a safe move to be formal. He then stepped into the pool, pleased by its warm temperature and gazed in her direction. "You should tell your friend over there to take better care of his glasses. You never know who might try to steal them." He attempted to say this in a voice loud enough that the man could hear him, allowing him to be alerted to their presence so that the lady could return them to him.

Tibo tipped his shades from the glare of the sun, his rest interrupted from the noise below him. He leaned over the white railing from his chair, peering over the ledge. He could already see three figures going about their business, though his interest was drawn toward a small object floating to his general direction, with a lanky male haphazardly swimming toward it.

"Eh?"

Still scanning the horizon, he gazed back toward the mainland, which was out of sight for some time now, and smiled. It's not everyday you get to swim with hot chicks. Tibo fumbled with a extra blanket he had lying next to him while his mind drifted back to his family... his uncle in specific, with his shiny balding head. Without him, Tibo wouldn't even be on this boat, probably working at a pharmacy. "Bless the world for family members..."

He pulled himself from his deep thought, resting his gaze back to the pair at the railing, "Fine china indeed uncle-" he chuckled, picking himself up. Hopping down the short flight of stairs, Tibo dropped his things next to the staircase, passing by the female and the awkward teen looming over her.

Following a graceless dive, Tibo waded underwater before spotting the shadow of the shades, he popped up dangerously close to the two speaking to intercept the shades, and plucked them out of the water.

Sunglasses [Wet]{Posh}[97%]

The water-stained shades seemed fancy enough, glistening in the light. He dived once more, surfacing near the tall man bobbing profusely.

"Yo man, these yours?"

Soon enough, some other guy had called out where his glasses had gone, and soon after that another guy came to him with the glasses. He asked Jackson if they were his and with a sigh of relief and a thankful smile, he took the glasses and replied, "Yeah man, thanks for the save, I dont know what I'd do if I lost these".

Seeing as they were pretty wet from their plunge, he decided he would place them by the chair he had claimed earlier to allow them to dry, climbing out to quickly place them on his bag and then jump back into the pool in a haphazard somersault/front flip. He resurfaced near the guy that returned his glasses and held out his hand in greeting. "Hey, the name's Jackson, Jackson Akin. Thanks for grabbing those, I thought they were done for!" he said happily to the guy, "So whats your name man?"

Rosaline Kensey, as opposed to most of the others enjoying the boat, sat hidden in her cabin as she had been for most of the trip so far. She knew the student group hadn't been here long, but she he had headed to her room and unpacked immediately, without a roommate, as requested, and only come out for one meal thus far. And even then she had to retreat early without a word to any classmates on the ship to heave up her lunch in the nearest restroom.
After that, she'd been most often in the bathroom of her cabin, drinking water bottles and throwing up most foods she tried to consume. The small tiled space smelled strongly of vomit even though she flushed it away each time. The smell itself was probably making her nausea worse. And she thought she'd read somewhere that staring at the horizon, a fixed point, might settle her stomach and hopefully her dizzy spells. So she'd been trying to work up the strength or motivation to get off the cool floor and head up to the deck. At last, after about 10 minutes standing without falling over, she walked barefoot to her bed, grabbed her ipod and put on one black earbud in her right ear. It had a case that allowed her to clip it to her sleeve and she did so, at the wrist of her oversized black hoodie before wobbling out of her cabin and up the stairs to the top deck. Moonlight Sonata played softly while she padded up the stairs in her gray cotton shorts.
Rose had to pause a few times to clutch her stomach and the wall to steady herself before reaching the glaring sun. It was brighter than she thought, even when she'd glanced out the porthole. But the fresh sea air helped slightly while the redhead squinted and finally made it to the railing on the right side of the boat. Her light blue eyes adjusted to the lighting and though she didn't pay much attention to the other students by the pool, she did see the storm on its way toward the boat. Great. She probably wouldn't even be able to hold down water if the boat rocked any more.
Rose sighed, closed her eyes and let the music relax her. She honestly hadn't thought the nausea would be that bad. The last time she'd been affected by her vertigo hadn't even been on a boat. But of course bad luck decided to strike her now. She just hoped they would reach a port to explore soon. If she survived that storm without dehydrating too badly. Her knees wobbled and her head swum as if to remind her why she was here and she leaned further on the railing as the sun beamed down on her. When she opened her eyes again, they had adjusted okay to the light but it was getting too hot now, even with the sea breeze to wear a sweater.
So regardless of social norms, she removed her hoodie over her head and wrapped it around her waist without taking her earbud off. She only wore a plain navy sports bra on her upper body now, but she cared not who might have noticed. Her tattoo was on her side, facing away from the other students on the ship as she watched the horizon, breathing deeply as her sickly pale skin regained some color.

Aerilin laughed to herself when the guy fell off the float and into the water, coming up out of the water sputtering and choking, she noticed the sunglasses floating towards her she was just about to reach out and grab them when another guy popped out of the water and plucked them out looking at them and diving back under to take them to the guy that had dropped them. She turned and faced the other guy that had talked to her about the sunglasses and smiled at him, "Im afraid that I do not know him, but I am glad that he got his sunglasses back..." She headed for the edge of the pool and hauled herself up onto the edge flipping her hair over her shoulder as she sat down on the edge feet dangling into the pool.

@DarkStarLove909

Finn watched as the girl headed to the edge of the pool and pulled herself up onto the side. She then flipped her hair over her shoulder in a single movement, her feet dangling into the pool. He slowly moved through the water until he was a few feet in front of her, and then looked up. Her smile was enchanting, subconsciously causing him to softly smile back at her.

"I'm Finn, by the way," he said with a grin, stretching his hand out of the water and offering her a half-wave. He then submerged himself under the water, holding his breath for a few seconds, before re-emerging and flicking the water out of his hair. "This cruise is not too bad! I thought everyone here was going to be a lot more dull. It's nice to finally get a chance to talk to someone other than the staff here." As he said this, he glanced over in the direction of the other two lads who were in the pool with him, watching as they spoke amongst themselves. He then turned back to the girl, moving a single hand through his hair. "So, what's your name?"

"M'name's Tibo," shaking his hand, he gave Jackson a wide smile before whipping his head toward his stuff and back. "and no problem. Always good to be of help. Nice shades by the way, are they Armani?" he asked inquisitively.

He plunged his head into the water once more, sinking down into the ten-foot pool. Even underwater, the sun still made the glossy lining of the base shine, and in the center lie something peculiar. His lungs warning him to surface quickly, Tibo floated back to the surface, getting much needed air. Looking back underwater, he looked back at Jackson giddily "Ah man, you gotta see... this..."

His words were cut short as he saw the cloud of darkness on the horizon, looming ever closer. Shaking himself from his mystified stupor Tibo turned his head back to the people on the boat, he heard a second set of footsteps unfamiliar to him. Leaning on the railing near the staircase was a redhead girl who wore a bulky black hoodie and grey shorts. He recognized her from when everyone first got on the boat. The quiet one. He recalled her bum-rushing through them into the lower quarters, but he thought nothing of it at the time. Everyone gets excited, he was no exception.

Tibo huh? Cool name, thought Jackson to himself as the boy shook his hand. "Yeah they are, it's ridiculous how my friends managed to pitch in to get these things too, it costs about as much as an amateur recording mic!" he said with a laugh. Before he knew it, Tibo had gone underwater, seemingly like something had caught his attention. He waited for the guy to come back up to the surface and was about to have him come check out what he had seen, but his voice slowly trailed off as he looked off into the distance. Curious, Jackson turned to see what had stopped his statement when he finally noticed the huge looming storm clouds off in the distance. He stomach felt like it had fluttered a little at the thought of a strong storm starting over the ship, and he had to take a deep breath to get the thought out of his head.

He looked over at Tibo who had his attention taken by the redhead standing off some ways away from the others. "Isnt that the chick that spoken to like... nobody here? I think this is the first time she was out here that didnt involve just getting food and heading back to her room" he said in a curious tone.

"Yeah, she bloody bum-rushed us too. Like, I know that the place is really fancy and all, but chill." He held the 'L' for dramatic effect, before laughing. "It's funny too... As soon as she comes up for air, storm clouds appear."

Tibo looked toward the redhead again, and back at Jackson, before a tiny light-bulb flickered to life.

"I'mma do a thing." he arced his arms over his head a dived once more, surfacing near the railing, but remaining in the water.

Aerilin looked at the man named Finn and smiled again, he was quite good looking and he was talking to her! She knew that that shouldn't be such a huge deal but she wasn't used to guys actually wanting to talk to her, then again Finn didn't know her yet. Guys had a habit of finding out how into her studies that she was, and never talking to her again after she turned down their advances for sex, 19 years old and still a virgin she was! She ran her fingers through her hair watching the other two boys in the pool out of the corner of her eye, looking back at Finn she opened her mouth to speak when thunder cracked across the sky, lightening lit up the horizon. It caught Aerilin off guard so bad that she jumped, slipping and falling into the pool. Her entire body went under, not exactly the most graceful or attractive thing she had done in front of a cute guy before. She came up sputtering and coughing and looked over at Finn sheepishly, "Im Aerilin, Aerilin Jones. Sorry if I splashed you, that kind of caught me off guard....that storm cloud is looking really dangerous." She was within touching distance of Finn now and she could feel the body heat radiating from him. She wondered what was going to happen with that storm, it seemed to be moving fast...

@Spoopy

Rosaline was still stabilizing her breathing when all of a sudden, a balled up towel glanced off her shoulder and fell overboard carried by the wind down to the ocean. Rose blinked and turned around slowly, but quick enough to catch a dark-skinned guy in the pool mutter something like "Well shit"
Not an acceptable interusion to Moonlight Sonata..
Rosaline thought, giving the towel thrower a withering look before shifting to turn back towards the railing, but the motion was cut off by a loud burst of thunder from the swiftly moving clouds ahead, making Rose visibly tense and whimper aloud. Without meeting any more eyes on the deck, Rose disappeared again, heading down the steps to her floor as quickly as she could without making the boat spin in her vision. In short, she couldn't head down the steps very hastily at all and she could feel a cold sweat coming on what with her pale, pasty skin showing off just how unwell she felt. They were heading straight for a thunderstorm. Of course.
Fuck why does it have to be now?! Why am I so freaking afraid of thunder?

Given her bad luck, the ship will wreck or something and she'll die curled up in a ball, panicking over an irrational fear she's had since she was a child. Rosaline groaned with despair and extreme discomfort as she reached the last few steps and gripped the handrail with white knuckles just to stay on her feet.

"Well that's one less towel for you" Jackson said jokingly as he watched it blow over the railing of the ship. He figured that Tibo would easily be able to get another one but still it was pretty funny that he had lost it like that. Before he got to say much else however, a deafening crack of thunder sounded, causing him to flinch hard and look back at the source of the noise. He looked over as the other girl fell into the pool, suppressing a laugh as best he could before a more serious look came over him.

"I don't mean to sound hasty" he called out to her, "But I think we all need to get out of this pool. That storm doesn't look too friendly. Maybe we should all head for the inner lounge area where we won't be so exposed to the elements."

He turned to look at Tibo and nudged him, "sound good? I would like to not be electrocuted any time today.

Tibo cringed as the girl scurried away into the staircase and out of sight, then turned his head back to the oncoming storm.

"Yeah, I suppose your right man. Water don't play well with lighnting know what I mean?" he looked back at the pair, examining the sexual tension between them, before going in for the block. "Yo loverbabes! You see that thing over there?" He pointed at the darkness that everyone no doubt noticed at this point. "I say that looks a lot like a-!" his joke cut short by another deafening boom echoed from the sky, the storm beginning to paint the sky a matte grey. His smile began to fade with the wind increasing with each second, eventually giving the boat one big rock, knocking him back under the water, prompting him to notice the black box at the pool floor once more.

Then came the flash of light.

Without further hesitation, Tibo bolted out of the pool to his things near the staricase. His face wrenched with worry, he broke his overall cool demeanor and attempted to usher everyone inside. "Everyone inside! I think that storms headed directly toward us!"

He sifted through his sack of items, which consisted of a mildly used mini air-horn, three chocolate granola bars, an 8 oz bottle of water that's 3/4th's full, and a 2 oz jar of Aloe gel. Being that he majored in Herbal Science, he always carried it on his person in case he got any scrapes, the jar was already half empty though, but it was more then enough for at least 3 direct applications, 5 if used on a form of bandage.

Grabbing the air-horn, he clenched it in his hand, ready to blare it when the PA speaker flickered to life...

Just as the brunette beauty seemed close to replying, he saw another streak of lightning flash across the sky, accompanied by a crash of thunder and a wave of pool water being splashed directly into his face. It had seemed that the girl had been startled by the loud noise and had fallen into the water. He couldn't help but to laugh a little, but before he had the chance to help her out of the water, she resurfaced. He then smiled as she introduced herself.

"Don't worry about it," he grinned, knowing that it had been an accident. He was so close to her now that he could feel her body warmth radiating onto his skin. He gazed deep into her eyes, quite tempted to help her back up onto the side of the pool, but she seemed content where she was. The closer she was to him, the more attractive she appeared. "Aerilin. You have a beautiful name."

He held his gaze a moment longer, before his attention was diverted by one of the other boys in the pool. Turning his head to face him, he smirked as he listened to his words. They were hardly lovebirds. He had barely introduced himself to her, and had no intentions to make any moves on her. He wondered why everyone was so quick to say something whenever a boy spoke to a giel as if it wasn't possible for two people of the opposite sex to be just friends. When the boy was cut off by thunder, bolting out the pool, he was tempted to laugh again. However, he could see that the storm was serious as the sky got darker and the winds blew with more intensity.

"Maybe you're right," he said, looking over to Aerilin to make sure she was okay. "We don't want to get struck by lightning now."

Aerilin started for the edge of the pool, pulling herself up and onto to standing up carefully and grabbing for her towel that she had set next to her. She wrapped it around herself standing up and looking at the other two boys that had been in the pool heading for the inner lounge, she looked at Finn and nodded. "I think its a good idea to head inside too." She looked around her and saw many of the other students that were also on the ship had the same idea, some heading down into the cabins and some heading into the room that where on the deck. She didnt know if there was ever really any safe place on a ship if it went down so she decided to just follow Finn. She bent down and picked up her bag that had her clothes in it, a couple of protein bars and a bottled water. Slinging it over her shoulders she waited for Finn before heading into the lounge area. The staff was no where to be seen, people were sitting everywhere, the room was loud and stuffy. She knew that she wasn't the only one scared about the fact that they were headed right into a storm and not one of the staff seemed to be concerned. Then the PA system flickered to life, crackling with static and the voice over it was breaking up all she could make out was "storm, bad, high winds, lightning, safe, and crash." She looked over at Finn who she sat next to on the floor, since there were no other spots open at any tables or the bar area. "What the hell? Did you hear that? Did they say crash???"

@DarkStarLove909

As Finn pulled himself out of the pool and headed over towards the lounge doors where Tibo had ran too, he cracked a smile. He had been amused by the way that the boy had rushed in doors as if he was afraid of the lightning. It might have been understandable, considering the scale of the storm which seemed to be approaching them, but this was the 21st century. Did cruise ships even crash anymore? Surely they would be able to easily withstand some heavy rainfall and strong winds. He shrugged his shoulders as the wind grew stronger, blowing his hair around. He entered through the doors, not listening to the voice coming from the speakers around the room since the static was crackling far too much for him to attempt to hear. Looking around to see that all the seats had been taking, he sat down on the floor, only to see that Aerilin had joined him.

"I'm sure we won't crash," he said, attempting to reassure her. There was no way that they could crash. "Everything will be fine in the end, I promise. They must have been talking about the lightning and the thunder." He then turned to face Tibo, who was still standing at the door waiting for the others to come in. His first thought about him was how caring he seemed - ushering the others to safety. If the situation seemed to be as dire as the others were making it out to be, he might have joined him, but he instead smiled at Aerilin, assuming the storm would just pass over.

"If we do crash, I call dibs on the first lifeboat!" he called out, in an attempt to lighten the mood. Some of the crew laughed with him as he lowered himself down so that he was lying on the carpet.

Tibo chuckled at the boy's comment, but it did bring a pressing matter to his attention. Where are the lifeboats? During his quick stay here, he'd managed to path-find his way around the expansive ship, making note of the captain's quarters (which were ironically under the main bridge), as well as his own and the people he'd seen so far. Most of the rooms in the housing quarter, which was one floor under where they were huddled now, followed by the galley and the engine floor. The other students (including him) were not allowed into the engine floor, presumably to prevent tampering. But yet, even with the overall layout of the place, he never saw a trace of any lifeboat. But Tibo kept this to himself.

"Heh, I'd probably get there first. 3rd Place on the Track Team in High School." he patted his lower thigh, near to his kneecap. "Bodies never let me down under times of stress. It's the main reason I majored in Herbal Science." He sifted through his small pack and pulled out the small jar of Aloe Cream. "I've been looking into natural means of enhancing the body, sans, y'know... drugs. he jokingly added.

Tibo looked around the room, It seemed to resemble some sort of dining hall, with fancy wooden chairs aligned to tables that lined the walls. the velvet carpet they stood on stretched all the way to the back of the hall, which was quite large indeed, fitting to the ships size. He estimated it could hold maybe 60-70 people, but hardly anyone was on his ship to his knowledge. Aside from the random staff he'd seen here and there, the ship was mostly empty. Perhaps the people whom ran the cruise expected more people to be qualified for it and planned accordingly, it would explain why most of the dorms were empty. Or perhaps there were more people he'd yet to see...

"Though, I have to say, I don't think I've met you yet." He eyed the boy, whom was slightly shorter then him, followed by the girl. "My name's Tibo, Lil' T for short. But I'm pretty sure you already know that, with my loud outburst and all. But hey, I'm rambling... What's your name man?"

Jackson had split from Tibo for the time being to grab his things from the chair he had claimed earlier. Hearing the pa system but only making out garbled words rather than actual sentences. His face was calm but on the inside his was tense, never being this far out in the ocean before and now here he is in the middle of what looked like a nasty storm. Hopefully it would blow away before things got too bad. He followed the others to the dining area where he saw Tibo talking with the other guy by the pool, deciding to make his way over to them to make some conversation.

"Shit looks bad out there" he said with a small chuckle, looking out the window as he did. After Tibo introduced himself to the guy, Jackson smiled at the other guy as well and added, "And I am Jackson Akin, nice to meet you."
