Finn sighed with relief, as he laid back and closed his eyes firmly, only opening them when Aerilin crawled beside him and lied down with him. He wanted to say something more, perhaps words of reassurance, but his lungs wouldn't allow it so he inhaled deeply to help him regain his breath. When people started to emerge from the water, reaching the shores at last, he couldn't help but to smile. He had it stuck in his head that he had practically signed the death warrants of all of those people on board who had followed his suggestions to head further into the ship, but to see so many survivors made him glad that he had no blood on his hands.

He sat up, his hands still buried deeply in the sand, and looked towards them. Even as the sun began to set, and the storm had subsided completely, it was still rather warm. Many of those who had left the shore and began to head towards the forest were screaming with joy, thanking their respective gods that they were still alive, causing him to grin. Suddenly, those who had entered the forest had begun to scream in a more frightening tone. Finn turned around, getting up onto his feet as Aerilin put her arm on him.

"It must be a wild animal or a rattlesnake or something," Finn said, trying to convince himself as well as her, moving his hand towards hers and gripping onto it for her own comfort. As much as he wanted to charge ahead into the forest and see for himself, he knew this could potentially endanger Aerilin. He didn't want to bring her there, but he couldn't abandon her again either. "We should warn them all to stay on the beach for now."

Jackson was welcoming the comforting feeling of sleep after exhausting himself the way he did swimming for his life earlier. He was comfortable and finally getting warm until his unconscious self was rudely interrupted by a hard smack on the head followed by a flash of white. He jerked up into a sitting position letting out a lout "Ow!" as he put both hands on his forehead, rubbing the spot that he was hit.

After a few minutes of groaning, he let out a sigh and looked angrily at the object that had assaulted him in his moment of comfort. He picked up the coconut, giving it a deathglare as if that alone would burst it into flames.

"If this thing wasnt a good food source I'd throw it in the ocean" he muttered as he dropped the hard shelled thing next to him. He looked over and noticed that Immensity was awake and... blushing?

"Hey Immensity, I didnt wake you up did I?" he asked her, not bringing up the whole thing about her blushing. He turned his body to face her as he waited for a response.

Immensity shook her head softly, white locks shaking down her back in damply wet curls. "The cease of the rain woke me." She spoke in her soft tone to him. She could hear the presence of more people on the beach and she immediately grabbed onto Jacksons hand. Her facial expression was morbid while, the grip she had on her partner said more. Her sightless eyes flickered from left to right, then straight forwars again. Was that a roar..? Suddenly, she could hear the peircing screams, abroad in her sensetive hearing and she moved to Jackson, scrambling to put arms around his torso. "Wh- whats happening? "

-----
Lucas stopped in his tracks as he heard the loud drawl of screams through the air. He turned his direction, (back towards the shore) and took off in a sprint, holding Rose tight. His heart thumped in his chest. He didnt know what the hell that was all about, but it didnt sound like safety. He reached the line of palms and took a look around. More people. He searched for his sister until he spotted the small white ferret running in circles in front of his frightened twin, and the guy she was with. He headed in their direction before stopping. His arms were tired. He had a half naked girl in his arms, the cruise ship crashed, and they were on a killer island. Not only that, the brink of sleep was taking over. "I think...its better if we stay in a group..." He muttered before sitting near, laying down, Rose on top of him. His eyes immediately shut.

The screams made Jackson's heart drop to his stomach. Those were screams of fear... that much he could tell. Havent they been through enough that they can just get a break? Immensity held close to him as the screams continued, and in his best attempts to comfort her, he wrapped his own arms around her, holding her close to him as he took deep, steady breaths. He saw the people who survived the ship wreck try and brave the forests... and how badly he wanted to tell them to stop... but people in fear do stupid things in the hopes of safety...

"Come on, we're moving away from the treeline" Jackson said to Immensity gently as he helped her stand up, walking her to the sand. As he walked her away, a nearby duffel bag took his attention, seeing a small object poking out of it. "Hold on... There's something I want to look at." he said as he walked the two of them toward the bag, feeling the soft heat of the burning wreckage further down shore. He knelt down and looked at the container, his curiosity rising as he looked at the ruined label. He had an idea of what it was, opening the container and lightly smelling the powder that was inside.

"Pre-workout" Jackson said as he stood back up, slinging the bag over his shoulder and placing the powder inside it. It could prove useful in a tight situation, and the bag could help out with holding other useful items. He looked over and noticed the boy from earlier approaching them with the girl. Judging by her shivering, it looked as if the boy was trying to use his body heat to help warm her. He mentioned his idea of keeping in a group, and Jackson thought it was a better idea than going alone. With a nod, he made sure he could lay down on his own, falling asleep rather quickly.

Jackson got a small idea and gave Immensity a gentle squeeze on her waist where his arm was wrapped around to get her attention, "Wait here with your brother, he is asleep right now, I am going to be right back."

He walked back over to the trees, keeping an ear out for any suspicious noises, and began to pick the large leaves that were within his reach. Coming back with an armful of leaves, he made his way back, making a small makeshift laying mat for the four of them, to at least keep off the sand. "Here, sit with me" he said to Immensity.

Finishing his song for the third time, Tibo lifted the lid from the barrel and peeked out.

Before him, lay the mild beach of an unknown land, strange and foreign to his senses. He heard various noises on his way. Some being cries of terror, some form of brown noise, which until recently clouded his head, and the serene waves of the now calm sea beating against the worn sea-stained barrel.

Though suddenly, he heard a dull thud, followed by the barrel tipping on it's side. Losing grip on the cover, he dropped it into the sea and the contents of the barrel emptied out, him included. He landed on his side, bracing his injured arm, sending bolts of pain spiraling through his nerves.

Without even a time to gather himself, he heard a deafening explosion ring out behind him, watching the ground he stood on glow with a warm orange breeze as the wind brushed by him...

Followed by a chunk of metal.

THUNK

Narrowly avoiding the shar chunk of steel, Tibo stared at in disbelief, then back at the deformed shape that nearly beheaded him. "What the..." he turned his head back to the ship, still going out in it's blaze of Michael Bay glory, as another explosion sent another chunk of steel his way.

Except this one was on fire.

"Ohhhh.. shiT SHIT SHIT." he dived out of the way landing outstretched on the warm sand, raising his arms over his face in a futile attempt to delay his inevitable-

CHUNNNNNG

Tibo moved his arms from his face, and realized that he didn't die, and the thought bewildered him. "How in the..." when he tried to lower his arms, he noticed that he had some round rectangular object in his hand...

The box from the pool.

The sudden appearance surprised him, ironic that the item he randomly sees, saves him if not by accident.

@DarkStarLove909

Gathering the garbled mess that was his items, he quickly rolled the barrel away from the hot-zone, rolling at a relatively fast pace for about three minutes before stumbling upon the remains of what seemed to be a campfire. The embers seemed to still glow, but he wasn't sure.

His eyes had yet to adjust to the darkness in contrast to the blazing ball of glory that was- "The S.S. Rocky Boom Boom"

Repeating the name a few times, Tibo walked with a smile on his face. At least, he thought he did... Islands don't have mirrors. Leaving the barrel behind him, he pressed on through the dark, feeling for his surroundings while moving at a brisk pace. No shards for his neck today.

Completely unbeknownst to him, screams of fear and pain echoed faintly from the forest, but alas, he was still mulling the thought of the name.

@CuddlesomeIrritation @ProfessorNv

He also failed to notice Jackson and a female bracing against eachother, plowing right into them before falling into the nearby 7 x 3 foot ditch.

"Oh shi-MMF" his cry was muffled by his faceplant at the bottom of the muddy dirt floor.

Immensity moved her hand to grab his, to be sure of where she moved, before moving next to where he was. When she heard someone coming towards them she moved closer to Jackson, getting hit in the shoulder in the act. She heard the "thud" of a body hitting the ground and glared but, said nothing. She didn't talk a lot in front of others other than her brother and Jackson. She tugged at his hand and leaned close to his ear muttering lowly. "Who was that..?"

Jackson didn't notice Tibo until he walked into the two of them, then falling into a nearby ditch. Relief washed over him as he saw his friend, he spoke to Immensity, "it's a friend of mine, hold on a second"

After making sure she was fine standing, he knelt down and helped Tibo up. "Damn am I glad to see you man" he said with relief in his voice. "You feeling ok? You hurt dude?"

Aerilin nodded and looked up at Finn, she didnt think that it was snakes or anything that was making the survivors that had run into the forest scream. There was something about this island that set her hair on edge and she was nervous as hell about it. She stood up, gripping Finn's arm with one hand and slipping her other inside of his. "Ok I will go with you to tell anyone we can find...there is no way I am getting left by myself again..." She shuddered at the thought of what she had gone through on the boat, and that brought her mind reeling back to the captain/ "Oh god Finn, the captain of the ship....some guy...looked older shot him! Shot him right in the chest...I saw it...All the blood..." She looked down at herself and almost sighed in relief to see that her toss into the ocean had managed to cleanse her sink and clothes of the horrible red stain. "I dont know where the guy went, he could still be alive...and out here with us!"

Each time another bloodcurdling scream rang out, there was a shadow that crept ever closer to the forest edge. With each fear-filled shriek, the entity drew nearer until it inevitably reached the end of the woods. Strangely, it appeared to shift in and out of reality, like a hologram cutting out mid-transmission. It didn't seem to truly exist, and yet it was undeniable that it did. Because if one looked closely enough... they could see that each time it disappeared for that one split second... it corresponded to the screams shooting from the forest.

Lingering in the shadows of the final line of trees, the figure suddenly stilled, and with it stopped the screams. Left behind was nothing but hysterical cries as the survivors of the trek into the woods wept over those who were not quite so fortunate. However, seemingly blending in with the shade of the palms, the hidden being escaped notice from prying eyes. It was as if invisible while in plain sight.

The figure was as shadows, dark and featureless, fading with the slightest light. But, after a moment or so of it hovering so obviously malicious near the beach, its empty visage broke into a maniacal grin, serrated teeth grinding against each other in an otherworldly manner.

Whatever this was... it wasn't human. But, even if anyone had managed to catch a glimpse of it, they were bound to assume it a hallucination, for as suddenly as it appeared... the entity vanished. And with it went the thick, suffocating atmosphere of foreboding.

For the moment.

@derelict_lilyflower

Just as the screaming ceases, a lone wave washes a sports bag onto the shoreline. The main pocket is thrown wide open, all that may have been of value having been lost to the sea. There does appear to be something in a side pouch, and some articles of completely soaked clothing in the open pocket, however. Souvenirs from home and nothing more.

Kieran frowned as Aerilin linked her arm with his, telling him about what had happened to the captain. A man had shot him? He found this somewhat difficult to believe, since if this was true and she had witnessed this, it had to have happened at some point between Aerilin emerging onto the deck during the storm and him witnessing Tibo throwing her overboard. He was sure that there wasn't nearly enough time for her to witness a murder in that short space of time and, even if she had, why would someone try to shoot the captain on board a ship that was supposedly destined to sink into the ocean? Perhaps to ensure that the captain had died, or maybe they had some sort of disagreement, but it still didn't make sense. Not unless the killer knew that there was a chance for them all to survive somehow. Just then, an explosion ripped through the air and he could see steel being thrown everywhere, but they were just far enough away that the debris wouldn't affect them.

He wanted to inquire more into her statement, but he decided not to for now, since he didn't want to doubt her and had a bigger issue to deal with. He looked over to where the screams were coming from, quickly hurrying into that direction with Aerilin beside him, but not far enough that he was close to the trees. The people fleeing from the trees fell onto the sands in chaos, but he couldn't see what they were looking for. For a moment, he thought he had glimpsed the figure of a being by the trees standing motionless, but he had paid too little attention to it, distracted by the cries of the survivors.

"Stop!" he shouted, trying to gather them, but it was far too chaotic. Knowing he wouldn't be heard, he shook his head. Then, a barrel rolled towards them, stopping on the remains of a campfire. He wasn't sure where the campfire had come from but the barrel seemed to have been on the ship earlier. However, he took no note of it. "Everyone, stay away from the trees now!"

His shouts fell on deaf ears.

Aerilin was losing hope that Finn and herself would help anyone, they were both yelling at the people who were rushing for the forest's supposed safety and not one was stopping to listen let alone glance in their direction. She laid her hand on Finn's shoulder to get his attention, "We may as well save our voices, they are not hearing a thing we say. The hysterics of what has happened to us all is too much for them to handle." She jumped a little when the barrel rolled by them crashing into the somehow already there campfire, whoever had built that was smart. "And yes Finn it happened, ask that guy over there. He saw the captain too...He just didnt see it happen. It all happened so fast..." Aerilin hoped to god that that other boy didnt think she had done it, the guy that had had disappeared without a trace...

Finn listened to Aerlin, agreeing that he wouldn't be able to have been heard by them over their screams and cries, so he instead turned to face her. He looked down at her hand on his shoulder, and his frustrated expression softened into a smile. As she continued to tell her story, he nodded his head and then turned to face the person that Aerilin had referred to. Had she meant Tibo? He didn't jump with Aerilin when he threw her into the ocean right before the explosion - he had to have been killed. He only saw the boy who they had been with in the pool earlier, whose name he had failed to catch, and frowned. He didn't realise that he had been there when the captain died either - he thought he had jumped off of the side of the ship.

"Tibo, you mean?" he asked, his eyes scanning the area to spot him, but he couldn't. Quickly, he began to make his way towards the other boy, with his hand still wrapped around hers. As he reached within fifteen feet of the boy, he noticed a half-dressed redhead lying on top of a sleeping wavy-haired young boy and a girl with hair the colour of snow lying a short distance away from them. He decided not to pay much attention to them and headed towards the boy from the pool who seemed to be talking to the ground.

"Hey, man," he greeted, unsure of why he was standing there alone. He was about to ask for his name but he noticed Tibo lying in the ditch, his face in the wet mud. "Thank God, you survived that! Someone's out there scaring people, we should check it out. Do you need a hand getting up?"

Throwing his arms up, he grabbed onto Jackson's arm, using it to gain leverage against the walls. Trudging his feet slightly into the dirt wall, he braced his back against the wall before slowly making his way out of the hole.

"Thanks random person-that-I-cannot-see-because-I-may-or-may-not-be-blind!" rolling around on the nearby sand, Tibo closed his eyes for a few seconds, in an attempt to force his vision to adjust to the darkness. Eventually he was able to make out the moon, which was rather large at this time of night, and the suspicious lack of dark foreboding clouds raining hell upon them all. "The fuck?" he was too focused on not facing a chunk of metal lodged in his body, that he didn't notice the storm fade either. Another thing to add to the list.

"You feeling ok? You hurt dude?"

Jackson!

"-Do you need a hand getting up?"

Finn!

They're alive!

Tibo's eyes fluttered wildly, surely he was hallucinating?.. Perhaps he was already dead?

He patted his body down and sat up, using his only good arm to finish the job. He could probably get his dislocated arm back into it's joint, but it would no doubt hurt a metric fuckton. Pain was not his forte.

"You guys... aren't... dead?" he fumbled his words, unable to get a proper sentence out properly. Out of all the weaknesses he could have, why was it social?!

Stretching his neck and yawning, Tibo glanced from left to right to get a hold of his surroundings.

Quiet redhead from earlier cuddling half naked with random dude. 'kay.

The girl he chucked overboard clutching her arms, a bit lost but nonetheless alive.

Another random chick, gazing aimlessly into the sky as if she never saw night before.

Then there's Finn and Jackson helping him out of a ditch.

Could've been worse...

Before he could even finish his thought process, he saw something in the peripheral of his eye. A deformed figure, giving off the slightest of breath that would fall onto deaf ears if not his own. But when he turned toward it, the figure vanished, replaced by yet another palm tree, and the noise... screams. Only cries of help, only the bloodcurdling screeches of death. Mere delusion, thoughts of a madman, which he surely was at this point.

But even then...

These people, these "survivors", the "predators" of the food chain, they aren't ready for what he only caught a glimpse of. And if the people going to their doom were to be considered as such, then what would he call the people around him?

Finn watched as the guy next to him lifted Tibo out of the ditch and helped him onto the sand. At the same time, he watched Tibo stumble onto the sand and then briefly roll around, before getting up onto his feet. He wasn't too surprised when he questioned how they had survived the shipwreck, considering that he had thought Tibo had been unable to escape from the blast himself. He glanced over to the other guy and smiled, pocketing his hands.

"We're alive," he grinned, before turning to face Aerilin after and softly smiling. "We're all alive."

Once he said this, he walked back towards her and placed a hand on her shoulder, looking down into her eyes. "I think I should go back to those guys and try to gather them again. Do you want to come with me, or do you want to stay here and rest with these guys?"

Aerilin looked around the beach, its sand was pearly white, and if this was a different situation the place was quite beautiful. She looked back at Finn and nodded her head, "If you don't mind, I would rather stick to you Finn..." She was scared for her life, and something about Finn made her a tad more comfortable about this whole situation. She rubbed her hands and shivered, the wind was blowing just enough to create a cold chill from being soaked from the sea water. "I wish we knew why they were screaming though...no one has come back out either Finn." She didn't know if he had noticed out of everyone that had ran into the forest surrounding the only plausible way off the beach, none had ran back out. She looked around at the group that was around her, and realized that it was pretty much everyone that had been on the deck with her when the storm had come up on them. Minus the light haired girl and guy.

Finn nodded his head when Aerilin said she would stick with him, which relieved him a little. As much as he hated to admit it, he wasn't feeling his bravest right now. Everything he had seen in this day had got to his head, and he was starting to feel the undying urge to sleep, but he knew that he couldn't until everyone was safe. He could feel the breeze nipping away at his wet skin.

"I think you're right," he said, once she had spoken again. "Something's wrong here."

Saying those words in itself startled him, but he knew he had to stay strong for the both of them. He began to walk over towards the large crowd of survivors, determined to get them to stop running around by screaming for them to stop, but he was unable to get all of them to hear him, and those that did ignored him completely. Then, after another round of shouting as loud as he could, he finally managed to get half a dozen or so to turn to face him in silence.

"We need to calm them down," he told them. Nodding, they began to work their way through the survivors again, trying to hush the crowd, until everyone had gradually become more quiet.

"Something's wrong here."

Quickly jamming his arm back into place, Tibo could feel a sharp stinging sensation shoot up his arm once more, a sign of the nerves sending signals once again.

"Nnnnrgh!" Letting out a grunt of pain, he laid back into the warm sand, looking into the sky as his vision finally adjusted to the darkness. Turning his head left and right to get a grasp of where everyone was, he sat up again when the pain receded.

"Eh, I say we need as many hands as possible. Granted, whether were alone or not is completely up in the air."

He realized what he was saying, and quickly took it back.

"I mean... It's strange how we ended up so close to this island... right?"

For fucks sake, shut up.

He ran his hand through the short bristles of his hair, and chortled nervously. He had nothing to hide, he simply worded things weirdly.

Watching Finn from close by, he saw him quiet the stragglers still floundering around like a sea creature deprived of water, trying desperately to get back to sea.

No doubt Jackson had spaced out during the conversation by Finn and Tibo. He was tired, as was everyone else, but he needed to stay focused. Not just for him, but for Immensity as well. He was her eyes after all. He heard Finn talking about gathering the other passengers and trying to build the group, which could go two ways.

"Well, whether or not the other people will be quiet enough to listen, we need to do what we can about getting a shelter. At least while the storm is gone. A huge group can help build up a good sized shelter, and we also have to worry about finding food sources. There seems to be coconut trees here, so that can definitely help out, since the shells are good sources and the milk in them has a good source of water. But it will take a lot to feed a large group. So bottom line, we need a plan."

he said to Finn as he stood there with Immensity, letting her cling to his arm the way she had been. She was unusually quiet, but he guessed she was just shy around new company. Hopefully she will warm up to the others soon. Considering they were gonna be here for a while.

"Hey Tibo, how you feeling man? Maybe people corralling shouldnt be something for you to do right now."
