"And maybe it's me, maybe I only see, what I want,"

"That's not how you make good first impressions." Lily scolded. "Next time just ask." She said, sending Legoshi an apologetic smile.

"Soo..... did you guys have and ideas on what to dress up as for Halloween?" The brunette asked. "Better yet- does the school do anything fun to celebrate?"

"I see the stars through a mirror..."

"Well we're allowed to wear our Halloween costumes, we just gotta make sure it fits the guidelines." Randy explained as he ate his lunch, "We're still deciding on costumes." Howard added in. Legoshi frowned in thought, it sounded... a little early. But October was a month away, best to plan ahead...

"All of Norrisville goes out though, it's gonna be-"
"Don't say it..." Howard groaned, "Boo-ece!" Randy grinned to Lily and Legoshi, waiting for them to get the punchline.

"So tell me how to get back to, back to summer paradise with you,"

Lily giggled so hard that she snorted a little. "Ghost pun!" She laughed.
Howard never seemed to appreciate Randy's jokes, but she found them hilarious. His sense of humor- while a little silly- always made her laugh. It was one of the many things that she liked so much about Randy.
"I guess Howard just isn't in the- spirit?" She played along with her own play on words.

"I don't wanna fall asleep throughout my life..."

Randy let out a small laugh at Lily's pun, "That- that's a good one! I gotta use that when Halloween comes up!
The ginger haired teen groaned loudly, "Legoshi- save me!" He declared dramatically, their new addition to the friend group bit back a smile as he himself ate his lunch. "Can't make promises." He teased gently, earning a mock gasp from Howard.

"You give me feelings that I adore,"

Lily beamed brightly when Randy laughed in turn. "You know, I've never gotten a chance to go trick-or-treating before. I think it'd be really fun if we could all do that together this year." The question was directed to the whole group, but Lily was focused on Randy specifically, smiling warmly up at him.

"Starting overtime..."

Both Randy and Howard suddenly paused, the eyes wide as they stared at the brunette.
"... I've never went trick-or-treating either-"

Both let out gasps of horror. "Never- not even when you were in kindergarten? Either of you?" Randy questioned in disbelief, "That... that's wrong on so many levels." Howard whimpered out.

"How it all turned to lies?"

Anxiety spiked through Lily when she realized she'd dug herself a hole. She couldn't just tell the boys why she'd never been able to trick-or-treat before, but of course they were going to ask! Why didn't she think of that before opening her mouth!?

"Well.. better late than never?" She spoke up with a nervous grin.

"Take over the night, take over the blue time..."

"Okay, we are all going trick-or-treating this year, together-" Howard looked between Lily and Legoshi with narrowed eyes. "Costumes and all."
"Agreed, and we are going to be covering every single inch of Norrisville." Randy added in. "And we will not stop until our pillowcases are filled with sugary, sweet, goodness."

Legoshi frowned, "... pillowcases?"
"Well duh! We gotta carry the candy." Howard regarded with an eye roll.

"Now I got my guard up, can't let go,"

"But.. why pillowcases?" Lily questioned with a puzzled frown. "Can't we bring a proper bag or something?"

Before her question could be answered, Lily let out a shriek. "Something just touched my leg!!" She cried out, hugging her legs to her chest.
Not a moment later, Randy felt something small crawl over his foot and scurry away.

"If you heard the screaming shout in your mind..."

Legoshi winced at the shriek Lily let out, followed by the startled yelp as Randy quickly get up, "What the juice?!"
He really hoped it wasn't some robot McFist had Viceroy make! He already stopped a good number today alone! The teen blinked in surprise as Legoshi ducked his head under the table, and against his better judgement, he did the same.

"Trouble on my left, trouble on my right,"

As the two ducked their heads down to see what had freaked Lily out, they spotted... a ferret?
It was a slender little creature with brown fur and a long fluffly tail, sniffing around in circles around Lily's backpack.
It lifted it's head to look at Legoshi for several moments, before turning around and bolting out from under the table, ducking and dodging the feet of the students to escape the cafeteria.

"And that's called jazz!"

A... ferret? Legoshi resisted the urge to bolt after it as he lifted his head up- wincing when Randy hit his head as he got out from underneath the table. "What the juice? Who brought a ferret with them?" The younger teen commented as he rubbed the back of his head, watching as students panicked-ish, to avoid the furry creature.

"I've been facing trouble almost all my life,"

Lily looked over, narrowing her eyes as she watched the critter run off. That wasn't a ferret.. It looked like a creature that Caleb once told her about. He'd said that Hunters called them 'Ichneumon' but they were really just mongoose.
Hunters often breeded and raised them because they were abnormally good at tracking....Dragons...
Crap!

"Uh... I need to use the ladies room!" Lily stated as she got up, grabbing her phone and racing off out of the cafeteria as well.
The moment she was out in the hall, she started to punch in Caleb's number, before stopping halfway through. If there really were Hunters here.. maybe the Ninja could scare them off.. instead of forcing her big brother to do it.
Tucking her phone away, Lily took off down the hall again, searching for that little mongoose.

"And no one cares to know, a place, where no one dares to go..."

Randy frowned when Lily took off- maybe she wasn't a ferret fan?
He paused when seeing his backpack glow and he grimaced, with Legoshi looking off in the direction the ferret went... the teen quietly grabbed his bag and snuck off too. He'd send a text to Howard later.

"You know what they say, yeah, the wicked get no rest,"

Lily searched throught the halls of the school, soon finding the mongoose in the main hall. It sniffed around the floor mural of the school's carp mascot. "There you are, you little-" Lily started to say, letting out a surprised noise as the mongoose took off for the front doors. "Hey-!" Lily shouted as she ran after it. "Come back here!!"

"Placed on high and watched so close..."

Getting sucked into the Nomicon was always... something.
Randy found himself stumbling before soon coming through into the dojo he sometimes trained in, he hoped this was quick-! He paused when a scene played out before him.
A figure- a Ninja before him, doing battle with a doodled out figure wielding a- "Wait, is that a gun?!"
He let out a startled gasp when the figures clashed, the two soon forming into words- certain parts of the text highlighted in blue marker.

"A great and terrible battle broke out twenty years ago, when a Hunter entered Norrisville, the Ninja having to not only subdue the Hunter, but to always prevent more from entering." Randy read aloud, his eyes narrowed in confusion. "That makes no sense- what was this guy even going after?"
His blue eyes widened when the figures reappeared, the Hunter taking aiming at what looked like... a wolf.
The wolf's form shifted, looking like a Human, they looked like they were pleading with the Hunter- until the Ninja at the time stood to defend the wolf/Human creature.

"Oh that's wonk- ooh.. okay now I get, I gotcha. Wait, does that mean there's a Hunter, here?" Randy demanded as he stood up, yelping when the ground crumbled, and he found himself sitting up in the restroom stall he had hid in to read the ancient book of wisdom.

"Got so much to lose, got so much to prove, God, don't let me lose my mind,"

Lily stopped at the front doors of the school as the little critter managed to slip outside, watching with a grimace as the mongoose ran up to a man with graying hair and a beard. He crouched down to allow the mongoose to climb up his arm and onto his shoulder, feeding it a treat.

Lily let out a startled noise and dove off to the side, out of sight when the man turned to look towards the school.
"Oh okay.. this is bad.. super-mega-bad." She mumbled to herself, pressing her back to the wall to keep out of sight. "Alright, Lily. There's a Hunter outside who totally knows there's a Dragon here.. you can't call Caleb or Ivory without putting them in danger.."

She risked taking a peek outside once more, gulping when she saw the man no longer standing outside. "Oh boy.." She whispered uneasily. "Where's the Ninja when you need him..?"

"You walk along the edge of danger..."

As if on cue, the Ninja himself leapt down from existence.
"How the juice am I even supposed to know what a Hunter looks like? Just look out for some shoob waving a shotgun around?" He muttered to himself as he took a scan of the area around him.
That person had to be around here somewhere... or in the city, he really hoped it wasn't the city- he couldn't miss class!

"Will it come to pass, or will I pass the test?"

Lily's jaw dropped when she seemed to have summoned him somehow. "Ninja!" She whisper-yelled.
Taking another look around and not seeing the man still, she carefully hurried over to the hero in black. "Ninja- Ninja we have a problem- a big one!" She spoke urgently, boldly hooking her arm around his and dragging him back over to her hiding spot.

"This warning is dire, my words you must hear..."

Randy jumped a bit when hearing Lily call out to him. What was she doing here...?
He flushed a bit under his mask when the brunette hurriedly dragged him over to a hiding spot of some kind. "Uh- Hello again fair maiden- citizen!" Randy quickly corrected as he cleared his throat. "Um... how can I help?"
Smooth. Like sand paper.
