I always thought this was kind of fun! Tell everyone the story behind your handle. (:

Nav is short for navigator. I like the word because I've traveled extensively in my life and have been able to go to places on the planet most people only dream of!

Your turn. :p

I was once, long ago, known as Teufelkind, devil child in German. Well, it got shortened to Fel like five minutes after I signed up for Iwaku, and I never looked back.

Because I double dip and contaminate all dips with my filthy chip fingers.

It's short for Little Dipper, Ursa Minor, which is my favorite constellation. I like stars, if you can't tell.

Well, basically I've had the same character for years and have been constantly refining her and making her better. I got her name from Joan of Arc, so that's where the name came from. However, she did use to be a bit of a self-insert back when I first made her I was like seven or eight okay guys so, yeah, for a while I had "Joan" in all my forum names. That's never stopped, though the self-insertiness has at least I hope it has.

A very long time ago, before Kaga was Kaga, Kaga was a very big Vocaloid fan, and Kaga's favorite Vocaloid characters were Rin and Len Kagamine. This resulted in the creation of a lot of usernames based around those characters. One of them was just "Kagamine", and this username stuck. It stuck really well! It stuck so well, in fact, that the nickname "Kaga" became a name that I closely identify with to this day. It bled over into real life, and sometimes feels more like me than my actual first name -- and it's been the basis for pretty much all of my usernames ever since. "Kaga" stopped being just a shortened version of a Vocaloid reference. It was just... my name. I don't even associate it with Vocaloid anymore.

Fast-forward a few years. My Iwaku username was "Kaga-kun", and it was getting stale, so I was looking for a different username that still kept the "Kaga" base, and I was having a hard time settling on something, especially since "Kaga" by itself just felt a bit too short and bland for a full username. At this point in time, I occasionally still heard whispers of the name "Kagamine" throughout the site, spoken by people who had known me since way-back-then. But what surprised me was the way that many people pronounced it. The name is technically Japanese in origin, and the correct Japanese way to pronounce it would be "kah-gah-mee-nay", but most people who remembered my old username apparently thought that "mine" was supposed to be pronounced like the English word "mine". This would've annoyed me back when I actually used that username, but, at this point in time -- I had long since stopped caring about the origins of the name (and, to some extent, actively tried to disassociate the "Kaga" name from said origins), so, I really didn't care that everyone pronounced it that way. :P I actually kind of preferred the "incorrect" version.

And, as you probably guessed two paragraphs ago -- I eventually changed my name to "Kagayours" as a play on the retro "Kagamine" name -- or at least, the "incorrect" way that so many people apparently assumed that "Kagamine" was pronounced. XD

i'm lame. rissa is only two letters short of my actual name
i give no fucks

Well, my username elsewhere (literally everywhere) starts with Guns. To keep me internet life private and separate from Iwaku (I stream on Twitch and have had people come after me on other sites like this), there was a suggestion for me to say- "Nope, it's definitely not me here".

Even in real life I get called Guns by anyone I game with, see at conventions, etc.

Hence- It's DefinitelyNotGuns.

I definitely didn't write up my whole explanation for my other username first to realize that wasn't my username here and had to start over.

When I was first joining Fictionpress, I needed a name quickly and had no imagination. I looked around and saw my bamboo tablet. I picked Bamboo... but it was already taken. So I added Green to it. I'd be called GB or Bamboo for a while actually, until I joined a new forum there and was called Greenie.

I loved the sound of Greenie and from then onward use it as a forum name. ^_^

So, on my days of IMVU I came up with "Celestialis". My dad and I used to build telescopes together and attend star parties. Don't do any of that anymore, and I don't remember anything I learned from back then. But, stars and stuff had always been dear to me. "Celestialis" was my last name on IMVU. I joined Iwaku, and I started out with the name "Arceim". That just didn't feel right. "Arceim" also has roots with family. Anyway, I changed to Celestialis, and I felt like I became a new person! It felt perfect! Of course people sought to shorten it so Tialis, Celest, Cel, Cele. I had some people tell me my name reminded them of Cialis which is the ED drug >.> Anywho, it has only been recently that I shortened it all the way to Celest. Mainly because I got tired of typing out Celestialis when I logged in. And most everyone called me Celest anyway.

So yeah :D

I love looking at night lights. I used to be notorious for leaving my room in the middle of the night and driving/walking up a hill near my house to see the town lights. It almost looked like we lived in this giant city and it was so beautiful. And then when I got older I moved out and moved to the city so I could see more lights! I live right by the Capitol Hill. Just a 5 minute drive to the best view in the whole city. I seriously love city lights.

And something about the color Lavender, and the smell of Lavender, is relaxing and peaceful to me. So I have Lavender essential oils, lavender room scents, and I have lavender car smelly things. So the two together just remind me of happiness, peace, and hope. Lavender Lights. :)

Not sappy at all.
Up until like minutes ago it was spelled LavnderLights (for aesthetics) but I found that it may be hard to tag me when you don't realize the "e" isn't there. Ooops.

In sort of similar to my name and since I was a kid, people have called me things in the area: Kitkat, Kätzchen, etc. I used to use overdramatic nonsense names when I first started to internet because I was like twelve and had some weird epiphany when I joined Iwaku for the first time that I would feel more me and maybe feel like I fit in better if I chose something that was more me.

And now I've been Kitti for years and I probably couldn't escape being Kitti if I tried since that's how people know me and have known me for so long. It's all right, though. This is pretty me so I don't mind it.

Back in 2008, 13 year old Sacred joined a website called Quizilla. It was there I was introduced to pretty much everything there was to know about this side of the internet. Fanfictions, roleplaying, etc. It was also there that SacredWarrior was born! Sadly the site shut down in 2014 never to be seen again :(

The Sacred part of my username came from this:

Back then I was obsessed with InuYasha (it was one of the first anime I ever watched) so naturally it would have some influence on my first online alias :P

The Warrior part was mostly random honestly although I think the video game Soul Calibur 3 might've had something to do with it?

@SacredWarrior - Inuyasha was my first and fav anime :D My avatar was inspired from that world, lol.

@Opal - I immediately thought "All I wanna do is see you turn into a giant woman, A giant woman!"

How so? XD I fail to see how a black cat was taken from InuYasha :P
Note the tails :P She's like Kilala ^_^ I wrote a whole Inuyasha fanfiction with her! <3
