When it becomes more than friendship

  1. Muse A and Muse B have always been the best of friends, since they were younger and until they were the perfect age of ten. Sadly Muse A (Or B) had to suddenly move away but the two never let that interfere with their friendship. They skyped, texted, called all day, nothing could stand in the way. They had vowed that they would always be friends, through thick or thin till the day they died. Even if they ever had a crush on each other, they were both too afraid to say something for fear of ruining the friendship, but they were best friends so of course they never had a crush on each other. Well one night, during a skype session that they had planned to stay up all night for, Muse A (or B) falls asleep and this gives Muse B (or A) a chance to truly look at them, and they realize that they truly do love Muse A (or B) and they can see themselves getting married with them. Though they don't want to voice their opinion for fear of ruining everything. So Muse B keeps silent, he listens to all of Muse A's boyfriend/girlfriend stories, listens to their heart break everything. Now it's their senior year in high school and Muse A (or B) is moving back to spend their last year with their best friend! Will Muse B (or A) confess their feelings before it's too late? Or will they bury them forever and just hope that Muse A (or B) will be happy with their lives.

    Caring || Kind || Naive || thoughtful || Introverted || Trusting || Respectful

Truly, Quinten is quite simple. He's extremely caring, not only of humans but even of people, though they can be rather rude. He knows that he can't really help them but if they're hurt, then it pains him to see others hurt, however if there is something he can do then he will do it. This leads some people who know Quinten to call him kind and rely on him when they need something. However, the young boy is a bit naive and can easily be taken advantage of. Quinten tends to live within his own mind, which means he's extremely thoughtful and sometimes he ponders the meaning of life, or maybe how carriages were invented, or even why sometimes the good suffer the must. Because the boy thinks so much in his own head, this leads him to be a bit introverted, one of the reasons he relies on animals, he feels that he can connect to them a bit easier. However, he's very trusting and many have come to him with secrets of their own, hoping that he would keep a secret, which he as. Quinten was raised to be respectful, even to those that are not respectful to him and because he was raised that way, he will be respectful till the end.

    Bio:
    "I don't know, it's kind of normal."

Quinten's had a normal life, a loving family, loving sister, there was really nothing that he needed. He was born the oldest twin, and while he was born on December 31st, in one year, his sister was born January 1st, on another year. Not too confusing, though they do enjoy confusing some people. He's extremely close to his twin and the thought of going off to college soon makes him nervous but he'll survive.

When Quinten was younger, their father passed away of cancer, leaving just their father and sister. His father took good care of them, though of course there were a few things that the kids would miss out on, but every mother's day they would visit her grave and leave flowers. Their father works extremely hard to give them the best of life and of course that he has a very good job keeping a stable in come, but that sadly means that the two twins are constantly alone.

She is very kind and caring, willing to help others when they need it. Lucina is pretty comfortable with herself and if someone doesn't like her, then she really doesn't care but despite what she may portray, Lucina is actually a lot more sensitive than others believe. Personality
Madaline is a very fun and caring girl. She is always up for new adventures and loves having fun with her friends, but she knows when it is time to be serious. She takes life by the minute and tries not to think too much about the future or the past, though with her life that has been very difficult sometimes. She is very courageous and acts tough and strong, and although she is, she has her days when she just needs a helping hand to pick her back up. She is very stubborn, and if anyone tells her that she can't then she will prove that she can. She doesn't care what others think or say about her because she thinks that her opinion is the only one that matters about herself, even though she doesn't have the best opinions on herself. She is very kind and helpful. Madaline is always the first to someone when they need a hand, even if she doesn't know them. She is very freewilled and crazy, loving to go out and have fun, but she is also the type of girl who likes to stay inside and have nights where she can jsut relax. Madaline doesn't trust very easily unless someone proves to her that they are okay to trust, but she can't tell when someone lies to her so it causes her to be easily manipulated. She always puts other's needs before hers which is not always a good thing. Overall she is a wonderful girl with a horrible past who keeps her head up and her heart closed.

    Bio
Madaline was born third to a medium sized family. Her two older brothers protected her with their life, although they would pick on her quite a bit. They didn't have good parents at all. After Madi was born, their father ran off with another woman and forgot about his children. Their mother became addicted to drugs and began to sell her body for drugs, not caring that her children were starving or cold.

Their mother let some of the men who she sold her body to have fun with Madi for extra money, though unfortunately this would not be the last time Madi was raped and sexually abused. When she was four her mother married to a man who was very cruel and abusive to her and her brothers. He physically, mentally, emotionally, and sexually abised Madi, along with physically abusing her brothers. When she was seven her mother had another boy, but he died soon after because of the environment he was in.

When Madi was ten she finally told her brothers and a teacher what had happened and they got put into their granparents's custody where they still live today. Their parents are allowed to see them, but haven't since they were moved in with their grandparents.

    July 3

    Personality

Luke is a very laid back type of guy, though if you ask anyone, he is the class clown. He loves making jokes, especially silly little puns, and he loves making people laugh and happy. He is always a very happy and joyful person who loves having fun, but sometimes he wants to have too much fun. He knows when to be serious, but his ADHD makes it diffcult to sit still and concentrate on things that are important unless he actully wants to. Because of this he tends to get into trouble a lot at school and doesn't have the ebst grades because of his dyslexia, so he gets aggervated a lot. He does have quite a temper when you do make him mad, but it is hard to make him mad. For the most part he is a very relaxed and calm guy who just goes with the flow. That is unless you hurt the few things that he cares about the most: His sister, his mom, and his best friend. He is a very protective type of guy and he gets jealous easily. He doesn't even have to be in a relationship, but just jealous about his best friend, and you don't want to try to pull them apart. He is a very loyal person who never turns his back on someone though, no matter how many times they fight or he dislikes them. Overall he is a funny guy who has trouble showing his emotions and feelings, so he gets angry or pushes others away.

    Bio
Luke was born the oldest in his small family, and his mother was always very caring. His father was the type of guy who had made a mistake, him, and had to live with it. For awhile that is. After Luke's younger sister was born, his father ran off, and Luke couldn't have been happier about it. He has lived with her sister and mother ever since, stepping up and taking the role of man of the house.

Ever since he was nine he works wherever he can to help support his family, but once his mother graduated college when he was fourteen she got a nice paying job and he didn't have to support them anymore, though he still helps out however he can. His father doesn't came around anymore, but they are all much happier now. Due to it being such a small family, Luke has been super protective of them and even the guys that his mom dates, Luke can tell if they are good or not.

He didn't have a super bad or a super good childhood, but he grew up loved and that is what matters.

    Lucina Thalia Coleman
Summer was over and now the alarm was going off at six, signaling that it was time to wake up. Lucina let out a loud groan, turning over in bed and turning her alarm off. Not five seconds later, was her brother at her door banging on it and telling her to get up. It was funny, when her brother was around with her, he was as she considered, an extrovert. He had no qualms about banging on her door or rushing into her room while she got dressed to hit her with a pillow. Though he did have his introverted moments or times he wanted to be by himself, but he usually opened up to others when he got used to them. "I'm up, I'm up!" Lucina shouted from her bed just as the knocking stopped, and a brief sigh of relief left her lips just as he shouted through the door. "I highly doubt that!" The young female rolled her eyes and threw the covers back, stomped over to her door and threw it open, revealing one satisfied twin. "Glad to see you're up." He said with a warm smile before he headed down the stairs towards the kitchen. Another groan left her lips as she shut the door and quickly got dressed for the day. She was fairly excited that this was going to be her junior year, another year till senior and off to college. The thought put a smile on her face, but not only that, she got to see Lucas (not that she didn't see him every day) but still he always made her day.

When she was good and ready, Lucina headed down the stairs with a little hum, and she was greeted with the scent of cinnamon and bacon. "Breakfast is ready!" Her father called out just in time, causing her to grin. It was always a rare treat when her father was home since he was always working late or traveling because of his job. "Good morning lovely family of mine!" Lucina said brightly as she sat down at the stool by her kitchen island and thanked her brother when he set a glass of orange juice down in front of her. She took a sip and chatted about this and that. She wasn't really excited to go to school and it had been over a couple of years since her mother passed away. It was the first day of fifth grade that their mother passed away and since then their father has been trying his best to support them and make them happy. After eating the breakfast that had been made, she thanked her father, grabbed her car keys and headed out, waiting for her brother. A small grumble that he wanted to drive came from him as he got in and she laughed. "Not today big brother!" She teased, watching as Quinten rolled his eyes and reminded her that he was in fact older so he should be able to drive. Lucina thought about that before she shook her head and peeled out of the driveway and headed towards school. She didn't really hate school, but then again she didn't like it. There were too many fake and judgmental people there, but then again who was she to judge?

Pulling into a parking spot when they arrived, she grabbed her stuff and leaned over, giving her twin a kiss on the cheek. "Have a great day." Lucina gave him a bright smile and got out, running her hand through her hair and heading into school. The twins were extremely close, ever since they were born, but of course they had separate routines. While she went to go look for her best friend Lucas, he would usually go look for his, Madaline. Honestly, Lucina was just glad that Quinten had found someone to balance him out and in all honesty, she would totally set them up on a date if it weren't for the fact that they constantly told her that they were solely friends. Chewing on her lower lip, Lucina absentmindedly rubbed her hands together out of nerves. Her blue eyes scanned the crowd, watching as other friends met up with each other, saying cliche things such as 'oh I haven't seen you in so long' or 'I missed you!'. whatever it was. Finally her eyes landed upon a familiar build, one that she knew all too well and Lucina grinned brightly as she weaved throughout the crowd, making her way over towards Lucas. "Lucas!" She called out happily as she jumped onto his back (a terrible habit she had), and hugged him from behind. She wasn't even sure how she acquired the habit of jumping onto his back and insisting that the taller male give her a piggy back, but he never really told her to stop and so it just continued. "Found you." She laughed a bit, giving him a kiss on the cheek and earning strange looks. Most people believed that the two were dating, but they were solely friends, best friends to be exact, and nothing could break that bond.

The usual school routine begins once more. Quinten awoke with a groan but none the less he got up and quickly got dressed. Of course he knew his sister was going to be up but she wasn't going to be, up and about. He moved down the hall to her room, giving a quick succession of rapid knocks and hearing her voice. This was their usual routine. "Get up loser." Quinten called out with a slight chuckle. It was kind of amazing in his opinion on how he was completely comfortable calling his sister a loser, being open with her, whereas you put him in a crowd and he much rather puke than give a speech or something of that sort. From the other side, he could hear shuffles and grumbling, before his sister through the door open. When she opened the door, Lucina's hair was a mess, she had obviously forgotten to take her make up and it was running slightly. "Glad to see you're up." He gave her a sly smile and bolted before she could do or say anything. Quinten headed down the stairs, passing a picture of his mother and father when they were first married, and then another of when he and his sister were born. The smell of cinnamon and bacon reached his nostrils and the small yearning for his mother started to form in the pit of his stomach. That certainly brought back memories. He remembered that his father would always make that on the first day of school, and sometimes maybe on special occasions. Quinten and his sister would get to put as much whip cream on their cinna-bon as they wanted and they have as much food as they wanted (not that they ate a lot).

Taking a seat at the stool, he greeted his father, having a small chat before his sister came back down, looking her usual self. When breakfast was over they quickly headed out. They only shared one car, even though they could afford two, but it was just another way their father made them bond. Quinten had a feeling that on his birthday, he was going to be getting a new car, he had been dropping subtle hints and his sister liked the car they had anyway, so there was no point in giving her a new one. "I'm older, so I should be able to drive." He complained, rolling his eyes when Lucina snorted and commented that he was only older by five minutes. Though he could debate about it. Heaving a sigh, he turned his gaze out the window and watched as the scenery passed by. Most people claimed that the two twins were alike but at the same time they were very different. Not just because of looks (they were after all fraternal twins) but the way they acted, what they liked, disliked, hobbies and even activities. Both twins shared a love for books and that was pretty nice since they just passed down one book to each other, they enjoyed the stars; it was nice to be able to go up and point out different constellations to each other. Share different stories. While most would think that having a twin is a pain, Quinten actually liked it. He didn't worry about Lucina shadowing him in her swimming or anything because to be honest, they were each good at their own thing and they each got the same amount of recognition. Though Quinten had to admit, he wished tha the was more extroverted, that he could go up to anyone and just make friends like she could, within the snap of a finger.

Quinten was quickly snapped out of his thoughts when they reached the school and he felt a kiss on his cheek. "Have a good day baby sis." He called over his shoulder, watching as she headed in whatever direction it was to look for Lucas. He chuckled a bit at the thought and then turned around, searching for his own friend, someone who he was extremely close to. He wasn't sure how but Madaline had somehow gotten him to open up to her and in all honesty, he's not afraid to be around her. He tells stupid puns, has stupid pillow fights when they have sleep overs sometimes, he's outgoing. Blue eyes search around for a brunette with long hair and a smile that could light up any room. That was the only thing though...she just seemed so popular that he could never find her and sometimes Quinten couldn't help but think how he became friends with someone so amazing.

Madaline's day started out like every other day, well, except that summer had ended once again and her junior year was here. Of course she was excited to see all of her friends again, but she was already tired of getting up early. She was not a morning person, at all, so when her elder brother, Matthew threw open her door, along with the curtains to her window and began to sing My Little Sunshine as he pulled at her blankets, Madi was not happy at all. She groaned and pulled her only remaining pillow up over her eyes and tried to ignore her brother. "Wakey, wakey! It's time for school, again." Madaline groaned in frustration and mumbled into her pillow for him to go away, but that was not going to happen. Finally tired of hitting her and begging her to get up, Matthew grabbed his sisters feet and pulled her out onto the floor. With a thud, the long, dark haired girl grunted and rubbed her bottom, slowly standing up. She looked at her brother who stood smirking and wacked him with the closest thing to her, which happened to be a pillow.

After pushing him out of her room, Madaline groaned and walked over to her closet, pulling out a pair of clothes she wanted to wear that day, and quickly changing. Thankfully her hair had dried from the shower the night before and she was able to straighten it. Because it was so long and thick, it usually didn't all dry overnight. At least one thing was going her way so far, even if she did have to get up super early. Speaking of, she glanced at her clock on her bedside and saw that she still had a half hour before she would leave to meet Quinten, her best friend. She sat down and began working on her hair, though all she did was straightening it and a simple waterfall braid. After her hair, she did little for her makeup, never seeing a point in it. Shw usually wore eyeliner, mascara, and sometimes she would wear lipstick for more effect, and today was one of thsoe days. She put on her bright red lipstick before her sunglasses went on her eyes and she grabbed her purse and slipped it over her shoulder. She made sure she had everything, including her bag for school before walking down the stairs and into the kitchen. Smiling at her grandmother softly, she kissed her grandfather's cheek, startling him to a jump. "Well you look lovely today, Madaline. There's not boy you're trying to impress is there?" Her grandmother was obviously teasing, but always aiming to make her granddaughter smile. "Believe me Grandma, I'm only dressing up for me, myself and I. I have no one to impress."

"Better not. The only boys you need in your life is me, Matthew, Dylan, and Quinten. Other than that, you don't need any other guy."[/COLOR Her grandfather messed with her brother's hair, messing it up only to make it fall back into its normal messy place. They sat and chatted for just a few minutes before Madaline finished her breakfast and grabbed her keys. She told them both goodbye before skipping out on her brother, letting him take a ride from their grandparents car. She was use to letting him borrow her car because he was older and always used the excuse that he didn't have a car, but she had recently learned to tell him to get a job and bye himself a car. She was using her car, and she couldn't wait to get to school and meet up with her best friend and convince him to go out after school. She arrived to school and parked in her normal parking space before skipping into the school. It seemed like everyone who she passed knew her and was saying hello. She was quite popular, but i was mainly because she was smart, outgoing, funny, and although she didn't think of it, attractive. A lot of the males in the school were after her, though she had no such interest for them or anyone really. Sure, she agreed just a few days before to go out with James Brooke, a senior this year, though she could already tell that she wouldn't agree to a second one.

As she made her way into school, she was surprised to see that Quinten was ahead of her and sure enough looking for her. She giggled and ran up behind him, scooping her head low so that she could wrap her arm around his waist and let his come up over her hair. Now normally she would have jumped in his back, seeing as how she got one of her too familiar and embarrassing nickname, Monkey, but seeing as how his backpack was in her way, she thought better of it. Her long hair could almost reach the small inch of bare skin that was between her shorts and her shirt, but she brushed it away and out of her hair as she kissed her friend on the cheek. "Hey stranger. Miss me? It's been a whole like what? Two days? Ao, I have a huge huge huge favor and I really really need you to do it for me. Pweaseeee?" Madi smiled up at her best friend and gave him her lip, something that had always use to push him over and allow him to give in. "Go out with me tonight/ I don't know where but we can find somewhere. I think the fair is still in town, but we can do something else since we already went. Or we can take Lucina and her future boyfriend. Please, we haven't actually hung out in forever, and sleepovers don't count. When is the last time we actually went out and did something? Please, please, please?" She smiled up at her best friend brightly, tugging him along until they got to her locker. Then and only then did she let go of his hand so that she could put her unneeded books away for the time being.

Lucas's day started out rather interested. He was never a big morning person, but nothing compared to his friend Luci. But this morning he was more than tired, though he had to admit that that was his fault for staying up half the night catching up on his shows on netflix, though in his defense they weren't even that good, but still worth it. Either way, he was beyond tired as his alarm sounded. He quickly turned it off, but feeling someone jump on him right after a small giggle coming from the side of hsi bed, Lucas immediately suspected his best friend but was quite surprised to see his younger sister Hailey on top of him. This year was her first year in school and she was thrilled to be going, and he was excited for her, though he didn't want her to go through the stress of high school like he was. The only thing that got hiim through it was his best friend. He grabbed his sister from around the waist and turned over, pinning her to the bed and ticking her sides until she begged for him to stop, crying fromt laughter. He laughed a little and kissed his sister's cheek. "Alright, Princess. You better get on to the bathroom so mom can get you dressed and ready for school.I'll be down in a few minutes and I'll take you to school." Lucas smiled softly and watched as his younger sister ran off and down his hallway.

Slowly the male stood up and stretched, reaching towards a clean shirt and a pair of jeans. After he was dressed, he grabbed his favorite leather jacket and his backpack. He tossed his bag on his shoulder and slipped his phone in his pocket before walking towards his door. He quickly made it out of the door and walked towards the kitchen where his mother was feeding his sister. He grabbed a piece of toast from the plate and kissed his mother's cheek softly. He had stepped up and taken the father position, and although his mother reassured him that he need to focus on school and activities, he still liked helping out as much as he could. "I'll take her to school. You need to go to work before you're late. I'll pick her up after school and bring her home if you want. Are you ready, Hailey? The younger girl looked up at her older brother with a huge, messy smile covering her face. He chuckled and wiped the milk mustache off of her nose and scooped her up, moving her around like an airplane before their mother calmed them down. "Listen, you need to be better. Try this year, keep your grades up, don't just give up. I know you're smart if you just try. Be good and be safe. Take her to grandma's after school and you can do whatever. I'll pick her up at grandma's. Have fun today you two!" Lucas watched as his mother walked out of their small house and he listened as the car she drove pulled out of the driveway. Him and his sister looked at each other before he scooped her back up and played airplane with her for a few minutes more before they decided to go ahead and head to school.

Because his sister was beginning kindergarten, she started before him, so he got her to school just in time. He took his time getting to his school though, not looking forward to it at all. Sure, now he was an upperclassmen, but he was still in high school. He was still stuck in the hell hole and he had no way out until he graduated, if he graduated. He eventually pulled in and walked inside with his bag over his shoulder. He walked to his locker and switched his books out, about to turn around and look for his best friend when he heard a shriek and slight weight on his back. Smiling, his hands immediatley dropped his book and went to hold up Luci's legs that were wrapped around his waist. He smled and turned his head to look at her, feeling her kiss on his cheek. "I'm so surprised! I didn't think you could find me! Good job! Lu-Lu!" Lucas chuckled as he let her drop to the floor carefully and he grabbed his book, turning back around and offering the girl a soft smile. He tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and poked her nose softly, shutting his locker and tugging her along. Glancing down at her outfit, he narrowed his eyes at her and then looked to see who all was staring, which happened to be a lot of people. "I swear, you and those short shorts. I think you just want me to stab ever male beceause they can't keep their eyes off of you. Orrrr, maybe you just want to make me jealous. That's it, isn't it?" Lucas raised his eyebrows for Luci for a moment before letting them drop and stopping to Luci to get into her locker. He leaned next to it and looked at her, watching as she did whatever it was that she did.

"So, I'm off of work tonight, plus I am visiting Grandma Nelson. She hasn't seen you in forever and I've ran out of excuses. Come with me. Plus, Hailey is at her first day of school and I'm sure that she can't wait to tell you all about it. Then afterwards we can go eat and do something. It's still warm. We can go to the ocean and swim, or to the fair if it is still in town. There's lots we can do. We could just have a movie night too, but I thought we'd save that for this weekend so that your brother won't be on to me again about wanting to keep you out late on a school night, not that we listen to them anyway." Lucas smiled softly at his best friend before making a weird face watching her shut her locker. He scooped her up without warning and spun her around, his arms wrapped tightly around her small waist. After a spin, he sat her down and tucked her small hand in his, kissing her cheek. "C'mon. If you love me you'll come with me. Let your brother take the car home or whatever and I'll drive. You know you want to." He smiled ever so softly, poking his best friend's stomach and tugging her along so they weren't too late to class.

    Lucina Thalia Coleman
Hearing her friends familiar voice, Lucina rolled her eyes and jumped down, watching as Lucas grabbed his books. One thing that she had learned was that no matter what, he would always catch her, she wasn't sure how or why but he would. Whether it be physical or emotional. Since the day they practically met, Lucas has always been there for Lucina, through guy trouble, trouble in general. Sometimes she would randomly show up at his house with tears streaming down her face and all she had to do was run into his arms and feel that warm hug he always engulfed her in. "You make me sound like a dog." She joked, feeling as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and poked her nose before he tugged her along. All the while, Lucina could hear whispers, some ranging if the two were dating, to others saying that they were solely best friends. Some people even believed that her and Lucas were friends with benefits, but they didn't have a relationship of that sort, they were just way too close. As they walked down the hall, people greeted the two and Lucina waved back, giving them warm smiles. She was one of the few that had the personality that naturally drew people in, she had an easy time making friends and though she didn't see it, there were many people that wanted to go out with her. However, most of the boys at this school (though good looking) had such terrible personalities that she wanted nothing to do with them.

"Huh?" She questioned, upon hearing Lucas and she glanced down at her outfit before she looked back up at him with a bright smile. "Oh totally, I have to make you jealous in order to keep you around. If I don't, then I could lose you to some other person and I would no longer have my best friend around. But it's not like that many males are looking at me." She said sarcastically, flipping a lock of hair over her shoulder dramatically. To be honest, she wasn't really sure why Lucas brought that topic up cause in her defense, she believed the boys were simply staring at other things...and not thinking that they truly were staring at her. And one of the things about Lucina was that she was as dense as a rock. If someone liked her, they would have to flat out tell her or else she wouldn't pick up on the hints. Heck, she doesn't even notice that there are multiple boys that are just staring at her for wearing short shorts. "Besides, why would I wear long pants on a warm autumn day? That just seems like a dumb idea." She commented, eyeing Lucas up and down before she laughed faintly and shook her head. When they stopped by her locker she started to rummage through it as she listened to her friend talk about numerous things. "Oh I love Grandma Nelson!" Lucina's voice was muffled since she was practically half way in her locker searching for something, or putting something up, who knows what she really does.

When she was done, she stood up and ran a hand through her hair, feeling as Lucas's arms wrapped around her waist and he spun her around before he set her down, her hand in his. One of the things that Lucina loved about their flirtatious, friendly little relationship was that he was one, much taller than she was and two, he was always spontaneous and surprised her. He always kept her on her feet. "Hmm okay, fine, I'll come with you as long as you promise me one thing." She began as she followed him towards class, swinging their arms back and forth. "We go to the ocean and then the fair on the pier, I think that'll be fun, plus we can meet up with my brother and his girlfriend." She told him, giving him a warm smile. "And two, you have to try this year. No giving up, okay? If not, then I'm never hanging out with you, ever again!" She said in a childish way. Of course Lucina would know about his grades and how he ended up giving up. When you are someone's best friend and you spend basically 24/7 at their house, their parents tend to talk to you about a lot of things. "And anyway, back to Grandma Nelson. I've been meaning to come but you always tell me no, so I'm glad you've run out of excuses because now I can come over and eat some of her delicious cookies!" She said brightly.

Lucina always enjoyed her stupid little chats with Lucas and honestly she could talk about anything and everything with him. He understood her more than she understood herself and that's what was great about him."Yo!" A familiar voice called out and Lucina looked down the hall to see Jacob, a rather annoying guy who was the star football player and believed that he was all that. "There's my beautiful babe! What do you say Lucina, you, me, netflix and chill all this week." He said and small female couldn't help but smile nervously. "Uhm...well you see..." She ran a hand through her hair and bit her lower lip. Lucina always had a problem of saying no, she felt as if she was being rude and that was a terrible thing about her, the fact that she couldn't say no. Lucina cast a desperate glance towards Lucas, pleading him with her eyes and asking for help as she looked back at Jacob who gave her a cocky smile and a seductive wink that sent chills down her spine.

    Quinten Augustus Coleman
His blue eyed gaze swept across the area as he searched for his friend. However he wasn't surprised when someone wrapped their arm around his waist and his arm came upon their shoulders. He glanced towards his side and chuckled upon seeing Madaline. She certainly made it easy to find when she needed. "Oh of course, I miss you so much it hurt my heart." He replied sarcastically, laughing faintly and giving a shake of his head. He felt as she pressed a familiar kiss to his cheek and heard a groan from some guys. 'Ugh they are dating.' 'No, I think they're just friends.' Those were the usual rumors that he heard around school ever since he and Madaline became best of friends. Upon hearing her ask for a favor, he glanced over a her and gave a small nod, a signal that she could shoot. When she began to ramble on about going out tonight, or heading somewhere, Quinten couldn't help but sigh and followed her as they made it towards her locker. "Weeellll...." He drew out, watching as her eyes went into a puppy dog look, and he laughed faintly. Of course Quinten would never say no, he could never do that to his precious friend, nor could he actually resist her puppy dog eyes either.

Just as Quinten was about to reply, his phone buzzed and he pulled it out of his back pocket, reading it over. Hey big bro, I'm heading to Grandma Nelson's house and then spending the day with Lucas. I'll give the keys to you during lunch. Maybe the four of us can go to the fair down at the pier. Anyway, talk to ya later! He chuckled and pocketed his phone. "Well good timing. Lucina is going to hang out with Lucas so I guess I can spare some time to hang out with you if I absolutely have to." Quinten teased as they left Madaline's locker and headed towards his. When they were there he quickly spun the dial and then opened it up, shoving his books and a few other things into the locker. "So I noticed you were wearing short shorts and tank tops again." He commented as he shut his locker and reached out to take his best friends house. "And I must say, you're just as bad as Lucina, you sure you two don't raid each other's lockers?" He gave her a quick little wink and headed towards class with her. The halls were abuzz with a lot of the students meeting up with a lot of their friends, some of them that they haven't seen the whole day and others that saw each other probably yesterday and were acting as if they had never seen each other.

"Oh you know, I just remembered. Don't you and my sister have a double date with James Brooke and...what's his face? He questioned, looking over skeptically at Madaline. "Cause if it's tonight, then we can forget the plans. It is very rude to stand someone up." Sometimes it seemed as if Quinten was more of the logic and realism in this relationship, not that it really mattered, it was kind of fun to have his heads up in the clouds every once and awhile. He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye and wondered how they became friends. She was popular, much like his sister (no wonder they were friends as well), but many people liked her and a lot of boys wanted to date her. Quinten could already see most of the freshman staring at Madaline as they walked past, their eyes going all googly eyed and then whispering to their friends and probably wondering if they had a chance with her. Feeling rather protective of her, he let go of her hand and wrapped it around her shoulder, making some of the freshmen quake and look away. He had already promised her grandfather that he would keep all the boys away.

"You thinking about going out for cheerleading this year? Or are you going to do swim team with Lucina?" He questioned, running a hand through his brown hair. Quinten paused outside the door and moved some hair out of her face, giving her a warm smile. "Well, it's a shame we aren't in the same class, but I've gotta go. Be good.' He joked, bopping her on the nose and leaning in to give her a quick kiss on the forehead. He still felt rather awkward showing his feelings, even with his best friend, even if it had no meaning behind it, but it was Madaline so it wasn't as bad. "If I hear that you're misbehaving, i"m going to have to defriend you." Quinten called over his shoulder as he walked away and headed off towards his own class.

Madaline laughed at her best friend as he told her that his heart hurt because he missed her so much. She patted his chest where his heart was and rolled her eyes. "Just wait until I'm gone for something and you won't be able to see or talk to me for days. Then you'll be regretting you were ever sarcastic about that, mister." She chuckled a little and wrapped her hand in his as they walked towards their lockers. Hearing his long overwelming "well," Madaline groaned and stuck her bottum lip out, eventually getting him to give in. She glacned over his shoulder as she read over his message from Lucina, smiling hugely as she hugged him tightly. "Yay, yay, yay! Oh come on, you have to admit that you love hanging out with me. You act like you like me when we are alone, is it that hard to be nice to me when we are in public?" Madi didn't need an answer to that question. She knew that her best friend cared about her, or at least she hoped so. She had always had trusting issues, but somehow she had found an interest in Quinten and wanted to tell him her secrets, and she somehow got him to open up to her.

They were the kind of best friends that were mistaken as a couple all the time, especially when they were in public. Her grandfather was convinced that they were secretly dating and her brothers and his sister always teased them about being togerther, though that was not how they were. No, they were best friends and the closest it could be. They had sleepovers and while other's found it strange or sexual, they slept in the same bed and had never had any trouble. She was never afraid of how she looked in front of him, and she had learned all of his secrets and it was rare for them to find something they wouldn't talk about. She went to him with everything. Boys problems, girl drama, past pain, and everything inbetween. When she needed to cry, she knew she could call him and he'd be over quickly, or when she needed a punching bag he would make sure she didn't hurt her hand. Her favorite part was that he had memorized when she would get 'cranky' and be sure to bring her some chocolate and a teddy bear when she was going through her 'hard week' out of each month. None of them realized how alike they were to Quinten's sister, Lucina and her best friend Lucas, so much that it was insane.

Upon hearing the comment about her dress apparel, she was surprised. The one thing they rarely talked about was clothes. She, although she was a girl, hated shopping, though at the same time she had grown to love it because it gave her something to do when she was bored and had a little extra cash. Her favorite thing about it was dragging Quinten to all the stores and having him watch her try on different things and tell her if she looked good in it or not, though Lucina gave her more accurate result. When they brought the boys along they mainly just watched them and sometimes would 'mmm' and 'ahh' when they liked something. "Is there a problem with what I'm wearing? I feel like I look nice in it, plus it is warm outside and winter is going to be coming soon meaning that leggings are about to take over my closet. And by the way, i think that your sister has great taste in clothing." Madaline chuckled a little as she felt Quinten's hand reach for hers. She took it without hesitation and walked slowly beside him as they made their way to class. She wrapped her free hand around his arm and walked closely to him, staying quiet. She was not quiet a lot, but when she was, everyone knew that Madaline must have been thinking. Upon hearing her best friend's voice, she looked up at him before staring a head. She heard her name being called behind her, making her stop and turn to see who it was coming from.

"Hey sweetcheeks. Miss me? I haven't seen you in ages! Are we still up for tonight?" Madalene sighed softly, looking up at her friend. She had a hard time telling people no because she didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, though sometimes she knew that she had to say something, and now was one of them. "Yeah, but Luci, Quinten, Jacob, and Lucas are also coming. I think we were going to go to the fair down at the pier, if that is okay. It's not in town for much longer."The male gave her a strange look, or really, Quinten a strange look. He smiled at Madaline and nodded. "Sounds great babe. I'll text you later then." Madaline didn't even respond after this, she just turned and walked away, sighing softly as she stared at the ground, eventually looking back up and snapping out of her daydream when she felt Quinten drop her hand and wrap his arm around her. She thought for a moment and wondered what she was planning to do. She loved both and although she knew it would be a hassell, especially because she was in her other activities out side of school. "I think I will do both. I quit therapy because I don't need it anymore, so I have dance and gymnastics after school one some days and I should have plenty of time for swimming and cheer. If not then I guess I'll make a decision then, though coach said that would be fine with her."

Madaline laughed a little as she felt him bop her nose and lean down to quickly kiss her forehead. She smiled softly and poked his stomach before pulling herself in for a soft yet quick hug. She watched him step back and tell her to be good, like she owuldn't normally. If she got in trouble for anything it would either be for being late because she was with Quinten or talking too much, though she usually was good about the second one, no promises on the first.

Hearing her speak of her love for his grandmother, he chuckled and nodded. "Yes, I know you love Grandma Nelson, that is why I am saying that you should come! He chuckled a little as he wrapped his arms around her from behind and hugged her tightly, not letting go until he finally heard a responce of weakness. She had gave in, just like he knew she would. He raised his eyebrows as he waited and listened to her condition, laughing at them both. "Okay, one, that is two conditions, not one. Two: we can do whatever your little heart desires. The beach and fair it is, though I think you have that date tonight so if you don't mind me crashing.." He teased her, obvioulsy joking. He knew that she struggled with telling people no, which was most of the reason she even agreed to go out with the douch of a guy, Jacob. "But anyway, I already told Mom that I would try. She said I'd have to quit football and basketball if I get bad grades, so I'll try to keep them up. I promise. Sheesh, what's up with you women in my life trying to get mee straight A's?" He gave her a teasing wink before wrapping his arm around her shoulder and beginning to walk off until he heard her name being called behind them.
    [/FONT]

"And about Grandma Nelson, I only make up excuses because you guys talk about me like I'm not there when I am sitting right in front of you! And she has shown you all of my baby pictures, even the ones I haven't seen I am sure. Next thing I know you guys will be planning my wedding!" He chuckled softly before stopping, hearing a familiar name behind them. He turned with Lucina beside him as he looked back between the two of him. Hearing the male's next words, Lucas narrowed his eyes and rolled them slightly as he leaned against the locker, wondering why she put up with a guy like Jacob. All he needed was the one glance that told him it was okay to knock the guy's teeth out, but he groaned inwardly when he instead recieved the plead for help. "Actually, we are going out tonight. But you know you could always come if you want. We are just going to the fair out on the pier later tonight. It should be fun. Anyway, I need to get her to class, so bye!" Lucas turned around, his chest directly in front of Luci's face as he rolled his eyes and pulled her away from the male. Or well, he more pushed her backwards until finally she turned around and he took her hand and walked her towards class.

Truth is, he never like him. He didn't usually like any of the guys that she hung out with though, not that you could blame him. The two were inseperable and he knew more about her than she knew about her, and he knows that no one could ever apreciate her the way she deserves to be appreciated. But even more than that, he knew that if she went out with another guy, especially one liked him, then they would try to pull him away from her. They were always uncomfortable that Luci had a best friend that was the opposite sex, though most people were, especially the girls that he dated, but so far they hadn't let what other's think define or change their relationship. They were best friends after all. Nothing more and nothing less. He had actually gotten into quite a few fights because of people talking and making rumors up about them being friends with benefits. But nothing like that had ever happened and it never would. It was Lucas' job and duty as her best friend to make sure that she is never hurt and that whoever hurts her oays for it. He didn't want to be added to the list of people who hurt her because of a stupid relationship, not that he hadn't thought abou it before.

He took her hand after awhile of walked and slipped his hand in hers, swinging them slightly as they walked in silence. When he reach her room, he leaned against the wall and looked down at the shorter girl, smiling at how short she truly was and wondered how he ahd became so lucky to get her as a best friend. "Okay, I have a different class, but I'll see you at lunch. I'll meet you at your locker and then afterschool meet me by my car, okay? Be good, don't catch too many of the boy's attention and cause too much trouble." Lucas chuckled a little and leaned down, kissing her cheek softly and brushing her hair behind her ear before turning to walk to his own class.

    Lucina Thalia Coleman
She loved him and everyone knew that but what most people didn't know was that the love that Lucina had Lucas was a different kind of love. Weird as it sounded, it wasn't really one that could be explained. She didn't love him like a boyfriend but at the same time she didn't love him like a brother either. All Lucina really knew was that Lucas, just like her brother, meant the world to her and if she were to lose him she would be absolutely devastated. Just the thought of losing Lucas made her heart ache and made tears spring to her eyes. The bond that the two had was indescribable but many knew that they were inseparable and very few actually tried to break them up. She laughed when her best friend pointed out that she had two conditions and grinned when he told her that they could do whatever her heart desired. "Of course I don't mind you crashing!" Looking around, Lucina quickly lowered her voice. "I don't really want to go on this date anyway." She quickly added, nodding her head when he told her that he already promised his mom. "Oh no! If you have to quit then I wouldnt be able to wear your jerseys!" She declared with mock horror. Another bad habit that Lucina had picked up was stealing Lucas's clothes and sometimes his shirts or sweatshirts, maybe eve sweatpants would end up in her closest. And of course they are just so comfy that she refuses to give them back.

"How do you know we aren't planning your wedding already? Instead of a best man, I'm going to be your best woman!" She said brightly, laughing at the thought. Of course though, Grandma Nelson has showed her many baby photos of Lucas almost as if she was already married into the family. And though she wasn't married or anything, Lucina still felt as if she was part of the family which was perfectly fine by her since then she had two families. When Jacob had confronted them, Lucina was thankful when Lucas spoke up and quickly dragged her away. Turning back around just a bit, she gave him a small wave and then started walking back her best friend. She wondered when he had gotten so tall, much taller than she was. And she had to admit, she remembered a time when she was taller than him, not by much but she at least had the height advantage and it allowed her to make fun of him, but sadly she could never do that. As they headed towards class she got lost in her own thoughts.

Since she could remember she and Lucas had always been close and of course now that they are older that got in the way of some relationships. Guys were usually a lot more chill, or they just never said anything and some complained that they she was probably hooking up with Lucas behind their backs. Of course she dumped them on the spot and ran straight to her best friend and vent to him about it. Sometimes the other boys would break up with her and she would do the same thing, run and cry and he was always there to comfort her. Then there were the other girls. Geez were they annoying, of course she could understand where they get their insecurities but Lucina had never had any romantic feelings towards her best friend. Some of his past girlfriends did come to her for advice, which she gladly gave, though a lot of them ended up getting dumped or they dumped him because they were seriously too worried that something was going on between her and Lucas. The great thing though was that the two had never let any of this effect their friendship and why should it? Lucina already knew that it was very unlikely that she was ever going to find her true love in high school so there was truly no reason to cry over spilt milk.

She felt as he took her hand, swinging it back and forth and Lucina moved to lock their fingers together, giving him a bright smile. when they reached her room, she watched as he leaned against the wall, a small pout spreading across her features when Lucas gazed down at her. "Awe, class isn't going to be fun without you." She said in a childish little voice and let out a small huff, nodding in agreement when he said that he would see her later.
"I'm not the one that has to be good." Lucina teased back, rolling her eyes. "Don't you remember love? Trouble's my middle name." She gave him a little wink and felt as he kissed her cheek, brushing her hair back behind her ear and headed off. The smallest of content sighs left her lips, watching as he retreated before she headed inside the classroom.

Quinten laughed when Madaline claimed that he loved to spend time with her. "Yes, very hard." He deadpanned, and replied without missing a beat. Glancing at her face, he laughed and shook his head. Sometimes Quinten had a hard time expressing himself but he did have to admit, he loved to spend time with her and she always managed to make his day. There was a lot of things that Quinten loved about Madaline and the fact that she was like his sister was one of them. She understood him to a tee, maybe even better than his own sister but he knew he could always count on her. Not only that but he managed to drag him out of the house and without her he would probably stay cooped up in his house the whole time and refusing to do anything.

Quinten had dealt with it all, and of course it didn't help that his twin sister always came to him with her problems as well, either him or Lucas. sometimes both. But Quinten had gotten very good as just listening and letting the two girls vent when they needed it, speaking up and giving them advice when they asked. He couldn't say that he always knew what to say to them and sometimes he ever said the wrong thing, but the point was, the two main girls in his life, he was always going to be there for them. They meant a lot to him and Quinten needed both of them in his life, without them...well he didn't even know where he would be in his life. As thought before, Quinten would probably be in his room reading books and he was pretty sure that he would have begged his parents by now to let him start homeschooling so he wouldn't have to deal with anything else. A question left Madaline's lips and he blinked, look over at her and shaking his head. "No, I was simply stating." He commented with a small smile, rolling his eyes when she brought his sister in this.

"Of course you do, cause you two practically wear the same things. I"m surprised you guys have raided each other's closest yet." He commented, feeling as she wrapped her free hand around his arm and he grinned, pressing a kiss to her temple. Yep one of his favorite girls in his life and he wouldn't have it any other way. Glancing over at her, Quinten had noticed that she had become silent and of course he knew immediately that she was deep in thought, and he usually left her there. Though he would never admit it out loud, he believed that her being deep thought was sometimes a good thing, it meant that she actually stopped to think about things. In his opinion, Madaline sometimes tended to be a little too impulsive for his liking and he wished that sometimes he could duck tape her mouth, tie her up and tell her to just think about her life choices.

Upon hearing a booming voice, Quintein towards the stranger and he tried not to role his eyes. He had no idea how this male managed to snag Madaline but of course he knew that he wouldn't last long. Honestly, most of these guys here didn't deserve his best friend, she was much too pretty and way too sweet for any of them. As his sister stated, she was a precious cinnamon roll to pure for this world. He flashed the male a quick smile when he gave him a strange look and watched as he turned to leave before he let out a long sigh. He nodded when she said that she would do both as they continued to walk to class, a warm smile on his features. When he said his goodbyes, he headed towards his class, running a hand through his hair and entering his classroom, getting ready to start his boring day.

Class was never quite as fun without Quinten, but she had other friends that kept her busy. She had noticed a long time ago that Quinten never cared for her other friends, probably because if it wasn't for her and his sister, he would never get out of the house. Either way, she loved all of her friends, though she knew she needed to be more careful about who was her friends and who wasn't. She watched her best friend walk away from her before turning and walking back into her math classroom. Madi hated math, so of course she was assigned it first thing in the morning. She was just thankful that she would finally get a year off of math next year for being a senior. Then came college which she was both excited for and dreading at the same time. Madiline took a small breath before taking a seat next to Dalton Moore, her next door neighbor and another one of her friends. He was just like Madaline, except he was a male. Either way, Madiline loved hanging out with him because he always had new ideas that he would invite Madi and Quinten join him in.

Math class went by slowly, but thankfully first hour was one of the shortest hours throughout the day, only being forty minutes or a little more. Either way, math went by fast and that was all that mattered to her. The rest of her day went by rather quickly, being the first day of school and whatnot. She say Quinten in a couple classes she had with him and she sat with him, his sister, and her best friend during lunch. Overall, the entire day seemed to pass a lot faster than what Madi had imagined it would-- not that she was complaining at all. She was thrilled to hear the final bell ring eventually as she jumped up. She knew that she needed to meet with her friends but first she had to meet with her coaches and talk about dancing and cheerleading.

"Hey Coach Meyers, I just wanted to stop by before I left to talk to you about dance and cheerleading. I am still in the okay to do both right? I know that Coach Jones talked about me becoming co-captain for chear, but I will still have plenty of time for dance as long as you are still alright with it. "

"Honey, of course I am okay with you still being in dance as long as your grandparents are okay with it and Coach Jones thinks you can handle it. I have seen the way you work and I know that you can do anything you put your mind to. So ust show us that you can do it and you're on. I am heading out though so I'll catch you this Saturday at the first practice? Early at six-thirty in the morning. I'll see you at the studio. See you later."

Madiline smiled largerly at her answer, thankful that she got the one which was recieved. She was definitely still able to do dance out side of school and Coach Jones said that she would be able to do swim and cheer, so her day was so far going greatly. Glancing at her phone and seeing the time, she hurried outside so that she could see if Quinten had waited for her. Once she saw him, she remembered that they both still had their cars since Luci had went with Lucas. "Alright sorry I had to talk to my coaches. I am doing swim and cheer for the school and I will stick to dance outsid of school. And Coach Jones is promoting me to Co-Captian. Are you going to join anything? Lucas and Luci and I still think you should join basketball or football ro soccer. You might actually like it, ya know? UNless you get hurt, then I'd be super sad. Anyway, back to business. Are we going to use your car or mine? Whichever one we don't use we should take back home insitead of leaaving it here. YOur call, Love."

Lucas chuckled a little and rolled his eyes at his best firend's comment. They were both the troubled ones. If one of them didn't have a bad idea for them to do, the other one did. Either way, he knew that they were very much alike, not that he wanted that any differently. It was hard to explain, but Luci was both exactly like him and the exact opposite. She completed him and that is what mde him happy. He had not idea what would happen if he ever had to lose her or go even a day without her. Even during summer camp for basketball, he had been caught sneaking out and meeting up with her or even just sneaking out to call her. She was his rock and he needed her more than she thought or cold ever imagine. He knew that next year would be their senior year, and then they were off to college. That was what he was dreading. He knew that they probably wouldn't go to the same college, if he even decided that he wanted to go to college. Right now he was in such a rush to support his familiy, he hadn't even thought about college but now that it was just around the corner, it scared the male very, very much.

He turned after kissing hsi friends cheek and walked on to his class to start the long day. And just as he had expected, the school day seemed to never end and the one class that went by quickly was one of the two he actually enjoyed; Gym and art/photography. Either way, he finally heard the final bell ring and he didn't hesitate to nearly run to catch up with Lucy at her locker. Once he spotted her, he snuck up behind her and kissed her cheeck, as his arms clenched around her waist so that she couldn't escape. He could hear the males around them grumblig and evena few females, but he only ignored them, almost willing to kiss her again just to get more grumbles. He didn't care what other people thought, especially if it was none of their business. Besides, it wasn't like he hadn't pretended to be dating Lucy to gt her out of a date with a creep.

He let go of her though and leaned back against the locker, glancing over at her before catching sight of a girl he had a few different classes with throughout the day. He smiled at her and remembered that her name was Hannah Nelson and he had scored her number jsut two hours before. She was very cute, and smart. Plus she liked art and was trying out for the swim team, so maybe her and Luci could become friends. he hadn't been witha girl since his last girlfriend who he had broken up with because she was spreading rumors about him and Luci being friends with benefits. He wasn't planning to let any girl get in between him and his best friend, but he wasn't going to just stop dating. eventually he would find the one, even thought it probably was not in high school.

You didn't want to get Lucas started on the males that Luci dted though. She knew that she was a smart girl and a very beautiful young woman, but he didn't see how she couldn't tell that most of the guys only wanted her for her body or because they thought that she would put out. Lucas had become a pro at looking at a guy and telling if he was in the relationship for sex or because he actually cared about his best friend, but there was so far not one guy that Lucas got positive vibes from. From the first time Lucas seen a guy with Lucy, he could tell that they were bad news. Of course he would throw a few hints at her and let he knew that they weren't good for her, but the was always oblivious to them and always ended up hurt. He was always there for her and then made sure to show each of the guys that hurt her that they had a lot to deal with once he had coforted his best friend.

"So I met this new girl and she is trying out for the swim team. She is super cute and sweet. I think you'll like her. I was thinking about texting her sometimes but I'm still not sure yet. Anyway, are you ready? I am driving!"

Lucina Thalia ColemanClass was never ending and once it finally ended, she was super excited to be able to meet up with her best friend of all time, meet Grandma Nelson after such a long time and then go hang out at the fair on the pier. Gave you the car keys during lunch, meet you and Mads at the Pier in a couple of hours. Love you! She texted while she waited for her class to clear out before she herself packed her things up and stood up, heading out. At the thought of hanging out with Lucas, the small female bounced on the balls of her feet. Sure she hung out with him a lot (okay basically 24/7) but that didn't mean that she never got excited. She hummed as she made her way to her locker, running a hand through her hair as she spun the combo and started to shove things into her locker. When she stopped to think about it, she wasn't really sure how or when their bond became so strong, all Lucina knew was that Lucas was always there for her, every single step of the way. She remembered one time when she had broken her ankle (much to her hatred) and after she had gotten out of cast, Lucas had helped her rehabilitate. Just like family, he was always there for her, whether it be wiping away a tear, keeping the monsters at bay, or even helping her up when she falls (both figuratively and literally).

Lost in her own thoughts, Lucina didn't even hear Lucas approach until he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her cheek. A small squeal left her lips before it quickly turned into a laugh of sheer happiness. There were groans that could be heard in the background but she paid no mind to it, simply because it was annoying and well she still believed that there truly was no guy that wanted to date her. Most of the ones she dated just dated her because they believed she would put out or let them into her pants, which they were sadly mistaken. Of course she always had her good friend to back her up and save her too much trouble, but since she believes that, that is really the only thing that boys want, she doesn't pay attention to the way some look or even act. She simply goes with the flow and hey if someone wants to ask her out, props to them, it's not like she can say no anyway. Well she can, but she would feel bad so usually she says yes. Lucina beamed up at Lucas and quickly finished packing up, listening as he chatted about this new girl.

It seemed that while Lucas looked out for her when it came to guys, Lucina secretly looked out for her best friend. Believe it or not there were girls that would use him to make their exes jealous, get close to him cause they thought he would put out or even try to get in between them! Now usually those types of girls worked in sync with another boy, and it was downright obnoxious. "Hmm yes, I've heard of her. You could invite her to come along with us ya know." She commented as she followed Lucas to the car. Honestly she didn't seem like a bad person, but Lucina wanted to meet her in person, get to know who she was, what she maybe wanted, that kind of stuff, after all it was her job to protect Lucas, though she would never let him know that she secretly watched over him as well. "OH I'm so excited to see Grandma Nelson! I haven't seen her in forever!" She claimed with a look of excitement, her hand reaching out for his and lacing their fingers together. Honestly their lovey dovey act (if you could even call it that) was just a comfort to her, and it was natural. Though Lucina did try and tone it down when either of them were dating, but when they weren't dating anyone she didn't care if she held his hand, kissed his cheek or whatever. Heck she's already kissed and made out with Lucas just to get a creepy guy or girl off their tails, so it's not like any of this was unnatural for her.

Humming softly, she followed Lucas towards his car, a small bounce in her step and getting into his car when they reached it. She buckled up, watching from the window as male she was supposed to go out with tonight ran up behind another girl and obviously slapped her butt, giving out cat calls and whatever else it was that set her on edge. "Hey, tonight when we go to the pier with Jacob and everyone else..." Lucina spoke up, her eyes never leaving the perverted male. "Please don't leave me alone with him." She said softly, a touch of fear in her voice. Rarely anything scared Lucina, well at least that's the way she came across. She was afraid of a lot of things. For one, she was afraid of getting close to another person only to have them leave, whether it be passing away or just leaving in general, that's one of the things she was most afraid about when they were seniors, losing Lucas and her brother. Another was, though she didn't show it that often, males. You can easily say she just had a bad experience with her freshman boyfriend who was very abusive to her but she was so in love with him at the time that she believed every apology and promise he told her. It took both Lucas and Quinten to finally get her to break up with him and get help. "Please." Lucina whispered, finally tearing her gaze away from Jacob and turning to look at her best friend.

Class was always boring without Madaline by his side and out of the two, she was more of the trouble maker and he was the voice of reason. Though she usually found a way to rope him into her little schemes. A small chuckle escaped his lips as he remembered a time when they had gotten into trouble when they were younger. Someone had asked what he was thinking and why he didn't stop Madaline to which his younger self replied with, "I can't control what she does half the time. Plus it's better to go along with it, then I don't have to deal with her silent treatments." What a fond memory, boy was the teacher made upon hearing that, but it was true. There were certain things that if he didn't go along with, Madaline would give him the silent treatment for who knows how long and the worst thing about that was that she somehow managed to rope in Lucina from time to time, so then he got double the silence and double the glares. Fun. Sometimes he wished that those two weren't so close (of course he and Madaline were closer), but he then realized that Lucina would have no one to share her outfit with if Madaline and her weren't friends. Besides sometimes those two got together just to have girl time while he and Lucas talked about the crazy adventures their friends dragged them on. It was a nice balance.

By the time school was over, Quinten found himself in front of the board, gazing up at the different fall sports that were being offered and he pursed his lips. His sister and friends were pushing him to pick up something other than track (something he loved), but he was always reluctant. Getting close to others and just being around obnoxious people that he didn't want to deal with made him tired. He looked at the flyer for football and shook his head, knowing that many of those boys on the team were jerks, exes of Madaline or his sister, or future prospects hoping to have sex with the two of them. No way he was going to put himself through that. There was basketball that had early training but their season didn't start more towards the winter and the people on that team didn't seem too bad. His fell upon soccer and he picked up the flyer, reading it to himself and noting that try outs were coming up soon. Alright good, he had time. He was also going to be able to surprise Madaline.

After picking up the flyer he headed towards his locker and put his things away and remembering that his friend had to talk to her coaches about certain things, which was fine cause he didn't mind waiting. When he was done, he stood outside with his hands shoved in his pockets and he blinked upon hearing a voice. He nodded his head, listening as she rambled on and on, not that he minded she did this often. Which was fine by him and it was something he got used to since his sister rambled when she was nervous or overly excited. "Calm down, you're talking to fast." He told Madaline with a small chuckle as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a folded flyer, handing it to her. "You'd be happy to hear that I'm going to tryouts for soccer next year. So now you, Lucina and Lucas can get off my case about joining another sport." He said with mock irritation. Honestly though, Quinten couldn't be that upset, he was glad that they cared enough to try and get him out of his comfort zone and without who knows where he'd be.

"We'll take mine. I can follow you to your house and then you can get into mine." Quinten told her as he fished out his car keys from his pocket. His sister had dropped them off during lunch and now they just had to decide. "Wouldn't want to get into an accident with your terrible driving." The young teen teased and ducked before she could hit him. He turned around and stuck his tongue out at her, heading to his car with a light laugh.

Madaline laughed ever so slightly as her best friend hushed her and told her that she was talking too quickly. It wouldn't be the first time she had heard it, especially from Quinten. When she got super excited about something, especially something such as her passion for dance, cheer, or even swim, she couldn't stop the excitment and joy in her voice, though sometimes she did embarass her. Either way, she knew thatit was just because she was truly passionate about everything, including her friends and family. Quinten was the closest thing she had to a best friend. She knew that because they were both very different, there would be things that they argued over and times when they didn't see eye to eye at all, but she would stick with him through anything. He was one of the two men that she didn't immediatley stiffen when he touched her or got too close who wasn't in her family. She had been terrified of men for a long time, though she never seemed to let anytone know. Quinten was one of the feew exceptions.

She was about to apologize when she heard Quinten speak up about something entirely different: A new sport. Watching him reach behind his back and pull out a flyer, she watched as it opened up and soccer was on the front. Aside from football, soccer was the best sport that their school had. The soccer boys were always very sweet and they had a lot of good wins. She knew that Quinten would easily make friends with the boys on the team, not to mention that he was finally agreeing to try out a new sport! Madi smiled hugely as she snatched the flyer from her best friend and nearly jumped into his arms to give him a hug. She giggled as she looked through it and then pulled back to smile at Quinten. "Are you kidding me? This is great news! Have you told your sister yet! She is going to be so so so happy for you! It's about time that you decided to pick something else out. The boys on the team are so nice and soccer is a great game.... Just don't get hurt... This is so exciting!" Madaline laughed a little before rolling her eyes at Quinten's next response.

Hearing him insult her driving, madi went to slap her best friend but he dodged her just barely and came back to stick his tongue out at her. She rolled her eyes and turned so that she could walk towards her car, only a few feet away. She jumped in, ignoring him, before starting her car and turning to stick her own tongue out at her best friend through the window. She laughed before pulling out and leading the way back to her house, or, her grandparents at least. She evently, a few minutes alter, pulled into the driveway and parked, waiting for Quinten to follow her inside. Once he was close enough to her, she punched his arm, though it probably felt like a bee sting to him before whispering, "That's for insulting my driving mister..." She giggled before pulling him through the door and walking throough the hallway full of pictures, some of her, and into the living room. She smiled at her grandparents and brothers, wrapping her arms around her grandpa.

"Quinten and I are going to hang out for awhile if that's okay? I'll be back before curfew and I don't have any assignments. But I'm not taking Dylan or Matthew with me. They'll just annoy me." She gave her brothers each a small glare before her grandparents simply chuckled and told her to be back before curfew. She smiled, giving each of them a soft kiss on the cheek, before grabbing her back pack and headingupstairs to her room before they left, leaving Quinten to either follow her or stay in the living room. She tossed her back near her desk and then grabbed her purse and a jacket in case it got chilly before shutting her door and walking back out to tell her grandparents and brothers goodbye. Her brothers didn't let her leave without some kind of embarassment though.

Lucas smiled as he heard the small squel from the girl that he loved more than any other. He chuckled before letting go and leaning against the locker beside her and watched her while he spoke. When she said that he could invite her, he shook his head after a minute of thinking about it. Sure, he definitely wanted Luci to meet her, but nto eyet. Not until he actually knew if he liked the girl or if it was just sheer imagination drawing him towards her. Either way, he probably wouldn't get anywhere with her. He wasn't looking for a relationship anyway. He changed the conversation and he chuckled when he saw his best friend's face light up with excitment when she mentioned Grandma Nelson. He knew that she wasn't the only one who would be excited to see the other. Granny Nelson would probably be more excited about seeing Luci than she would about seeing Lucas, not that he blamed her. Luci always was a sight to see.

Lucas didn't even feel her hands reach for his and lace their fingers together until he felt the burn of glares on his back. He simply smirked and squeezed her hand, running her finger over her thumb and bringing their hands up so that he could kiss hers softly. Eventually they made it to the car and he pulled the passanger side door open, shutting it behind Lucina before quickly heading over to the drivers side and jumping in. He didn't act like he noticed it, but Lucas definitely saw Jacob run up to another girl and call for her. He rolled his eyes as he started up his car before hearing Luci speak up beside him. Hearing her words made him tense up right then and there. He ahd never liked Jacob, but now that he had set his sights on Luci, he disliked him even more. Not to mention that Lucas found himself in trouble quite a lot: always getting in fights, more than once coming home with a black eye or a bloody lip, but leaving the other guy something worse. Hearing the near crack in his best friends voice made Lucas' hands grip the steering wheel tightly and try everything to not go after the male right then and there, but when she turned to him finally, he couldn't leave her, then or ever.

Softly, Luke pulled Luci over to him and kissed her forehead softly, squeezing her shoulder and rubbing her back. "I won't. I promise."

It didn't take long for Lucas to get to his sister's school and once he had picked her up, he let her sit in the back and tell them all about her very first day of school. She went through everything they did in complete detail. She was about to tell them about the peanut butter cookies and milk they had for snack time and the long nap that followed before Lucas interupted her to tell them that they were at Grandma Nelson's, finally. He wasn't sure who was more excited; the kid in the back or the kid beside him. Either way, both of their faces lit up and Lucas couldn't help but chuckle ever so slightly as he parked and hopped out, helping his sister out and then his best friend. Grandma Nelson met them at the door, her arm full of cookies as she smiled happily at her two grandchildren and her favorite teenage girl.

Lucas shut the door behind everone and walked in, helping himself to the cookies, grabbed a whole handful before Luci got ahold of them, know that by the way she loved Granny's cookies, she could devour them all in a minute without even a chance fro him to grab one. He plopped down on the couch and let his sister crawl up under his right arm before he pulled Luci down to his left before she oculd pass him. He smirked as she looked up at him and he simply winked and kept his arm protectively around her. It wasn't long before Grandma Nelson had the photo albums out and was showing off pictures of him as a baby, naked in the bathtub, but let us not forget the one of him climbing a tree in boxers (though that one was only a few years old... What could he say? He hated pants!). He too laughed along with Luci, though he made sure she kpt her phone tucked away so she would have no evidence when she went to make fun of him.

Not thirty minutes of talking and laughing, Lucas' younger sister was already passed out across his lap, her head resting on Lucina's legs. He simpled chuckled at her sprawled out body before easily scooping her up in his arms and carrying her to the back bedroom to tuck her in. though Lucas lost his temper quite easily and not many people thought that he would be good with kids, Lucas was amazing with kids. they were his passion and if everything turned out well and he got a scholarship for basketball or football like he hoped, he would go to college to be a doctor for children. He wanted to help sick kids, especially since he truly doubted that he would ever get married and have a family, not that he would object, he just didn't think anyone would want to marry him.

After a few more minutes of making sure his grandmother was okay with his sister, he kissed her goodbye and walked back to Luci. He easily scooped her up and when she went to squeal, he hushed her and told her that they should get going if they wanted to have any time to see the beach before they had to meet the others.

Lucina Thalia ColemanJust like any human, Lucina was afraid of things, and she was deathly afraid of Jacob. He played with women and she wasn't afraid that she was going to fall in love him because Jacob was far from the type of boys that she liked, but she was more afraid of what he could do. Men were dangerous creatures, and she had learned that a long, long time ago and she didn't want a repeat. It was a little awkward with the console, but she felt as Lucas pulled her body into his, and pressed a kiss to her forehead. Immediately the tension washed out of her body and she relaxed. Moving to wrap her arms around him, she buried her face in his neck, breathing in his familiar scent. "I love you Lucas." She whispered softly. Those were three simple words that you would save for the one you loved, wanted to marry and while Lucina wasn't going to marry Lucas, he meant so much to her. The confusing thing was, was that she loved Lucas, she loved him with all her heart but the thing was, she didn't love him like a brother but at the same time she didn't love him like a boyfriend. Their relationship was extremely simple, but at the same time it was the most complicated thing to understand...at least for other people.

The drive was a short time to Lucas's sister's school was a short drive and when they picked her up, Lucina was greeted with a bright smile. She listened as the young girl went through everything in detail and just as she was about to give them even more details about her day, Lucas had to speak up. "Ugh, you just had to go and ruin her wonderful story." She teased as she got out of the car and practically ran inside, though before she could even race towards the kitchen, Lucas swept her aside, sweeping as many cookies as he could into his arms. "You cookie theif!" She called after him. Lucina laughed as she picked up a few and moved to sit down on the couch before she felt Lucas pulled her down, and she turned towards him, pouting. "You almost made me drop my cookies!" She complained. Lucina felt as Lucas threw a protective arm across her shoulders and she snuggled up closely, feeling safe.

It wasn't long before Grandma Nelson had pulled out photo albums and she was looking through the books. Lucina knew everything about Lucas and he knew everything about her. There were a few of his girlfriends even complained about the fact that she knew him too well. There was nothing she could do about that. Eventually Lucas's sister fell asleep, her head resting in her lap and she smiled faintly, gently stroking the younger girl's hair. Though Lucas soon picked up his sister and carried her upstairs, leaving her and Grandma Nelson to look through the photos together, laughing quietly so that they didn't wake the sleeping child. At school, many people believed that all Lucas had was good basketball skills and a hot temper. But this was a side of Lucas that only she got to see and eventually if the girlfriends lasted long enough, they did too, but they rarely ever did. She smiled faintly, thinking that one day he would make a good father, he was honestly a very loving and caring male.

Waving goodbye to his grandmother, she walked out the door, though her foot were quickly swept out from under her and she let out a silent little squeal, a bright smile on her face. "Hmm you're future wife sure will be lucky to have such a strong man sweep her off her feet all the time." She joked, though she knew any women would be lucky to have someone as wonderful as Lucas. Once they got into the car, she bounced in her seat, the brightest smile on her face. "C'mon, let's go to the beach!" She said happily, as she leaned back in her seat and let her mind wandered to the beautiful water and the wonderful sandy beach.

    Quinten Augustus Coleman
Quinten smiled when Madaline got excited about picking up another sport. The best part was the way her face lit up upon hearing the news, how excited she got, that was the best part. "I haven't told her yet. And hey, the track and field team is great, thank you very much. I promise I won't get hurt." He said as he pressed a kiss to her cheek. The thing about Quinten was that he was a closed book to a lot of people, he was very hard to pry open, very private person, sometimes he is extremely closed off to his friends and his sister. That was just who Quinten was and he felt bad about shutting people out from time to time, but that's just who he was, and he couldn't change it. "I was going to tell her later tonight." He said, chuckling a bit. When he got to his car, he followed behind Madaline to follow her to her house.

When they were at her house, he got out and met up with her, laughing just a bit when he punched her in the arm. "Ow, that hurt." He muttered as he followed inside the house and giving a roll of his eyes. This was his friend, his best friend and the one that he absolutely adored. Quinten followed her inside, greeting her parents with a tiny little wave. He honestly wasn't sure whether they liked him or not and for some reason he had a feeling that they didn't like him. And don't even get him started on her brothers...he was a bit afraid of her family. "Hello." He greeted, giving a small little wave and stood after in the corner awkwardly as he waited for Madaline to finish talking to her grandparents.

When she moved upstairs, he quickly followed, not wanting to be left alone. Of course he understood that they were great people but Quinten himself was so quiet and kept to himself that opening up to others made him feel awkward. He was a lot more introverted than his sister and as much as he enjoyed hanging out with Madaline, he sometimes wished that he was by himself. Okay well that was an exception with Madaline, he always loved to hang out with her but if his track and field team invited him to a party he much rather stay home and read a book. Once she finished grabbing her things, he took her hand and dragged her out to the car. "She will be back by curfew, I promise." He said as he paused by the door and then gave a small awkward wave before heading out and holding the car door open for his best friend.

"I'm scared of your family." Quinten muttered softly as he shut the door and then moved around the car to go to the driver's side. He got in and started it up. "Want to go anywhere before we head to the pier? Lucas and Lucina are heading to the beach before, so we could join them or go somewhere else." He explained as he pulled out of the drive way and started to drive down the road, a thought popping into his mind. "Hey, do you think that Lucina and Lucas would ever date?" Quinten asked as he tilted his head to the side ever so slightly as he drove down the road. The thought had crossed his mind from time to time for be honest, the fact that Lucina could date Lucas, and honestly Quinten kind of wanted them too. Lucas knew everything there was to know about Lucina, he took care of her when he couldn't. He knew about her past relationships and he was always there for her. "Do you think it would be weird? He asked.

Though he rarely showed it, Quinten worried about his twin constantly and he just wanted her too be happy. He was after all the older twin, but after the few things she's experienced in her life, she deserves to be happy.

If anyone had known pain, it was definitly Madaline. She had been through a lot as a child and growing up into who she is today, but she had managed to get through it all. Some of her past she had the courage to talk about, though some of it she didn't, but that didn't mean she wouldn't one day. Madi had one true best friend who stuck through everything. When her life was falling apart and when she seemed like there was no reason for her to stay, only one person convinced her that she was wanted-- no, needed here. Quinten. She had never had the courage to tell him exactly how she felt about him. He was her best friend. He was literally her everything. He had seen her in her worse times and still stuck by her, refusing to give their friendship up. He was her person and she wasn't willing to let him go. Ever.

When she stepped into the car and buckled up, she glanced over at her best friend as he asked her what she wanted to do. "Don't be scared of them. My grandparents love you and think it's adorable that you are so shy and I'm not. My brothers are my brothers.. They like you, it's just that I'm their sister and they're protective of me. You understand. As for where to go, I'm not sure. I want to go to the beach and swim I think, but afterwards we all need to go eat. And without the other two boys. Just us four. Okay?" Madaline smiled softly and reach for her friend's hand. She squeezed it softly and pulled him over slighlty so that she could hug him softly once more. Madaline was definitely the happy and outgoing girl. She was always smiling and laughing, not to mention the millions of clubs and activities she was in, but she had her bad days. Sometimes they don't warn her. Sometimes they just show up in the middle of a good time or a good week and decide that they want to visit then. Those are the times when it is her that is pushing people away, literally.

Right then, Madi could feel it coming and she was scared. Those days, especially the nights when she was left alone with her thoughts made her uneasy. She didn't want to have bad days at all, but the thing she hated the most about them was being around Quinten when it happened. She wanted to be strong for him. She had tried to always be brave and strong for herself, but then Quinten gave her another excuse to try harder. Having her bad days made her feel like she was dissapointing him and letting him down, though she would never admit it. "I'm sorry. For.. just. Nevermind. Just remember that I'm sorry. Okay? Now come on, lets go swimming. I changed into my swimmsuit so I'm all ready to go!"

The ride was short enough, and soon enough they were at the beach and Madi was anticipating the water.

To say that he was a little upset, was an understatment. Lucas was a family guy. He always had been and always would be, not that he minded though. His family was the one thing that he would do anything for. His father had walked out on them after his younger sister was born and although it was a difficult time, Lucas and his mother and sister had managed and he had stepped up to take the role of the man of the house. Even while his father was still around, he was always the man of the house. His father didn't care enough to check if the door was locked at night or made sure they had milk for his sister's breakfast the next morning, so Lucas did. Not to mention that he took on an extra job to help pay bills, so when his father left, it wasn't a big surprise to anyone. Though he may have only become the man of the house a few years before, Lucas had always been this way with Lucina.

She was his best friend, his worse enemy, his favorite person, his soul mate. His everything. She was one of the only things that mattered to him and he would do anything to keep her safe. He was a family man, whether family by blood or by choice, and Lucina was his family, no matter what others said. Seeing his best friend in a situation like this made him angry. Sure, Luke had some anger issues, but he had always gotten super protective over his best friend. Seeing her go through previous relationships and watching them end badly was not an okay thing at all. He knew that his ebst friend deserved so much more than what any guy here would ever offer. Even he wasn't good enough for Lucina, even as just a friend. He tried though, and for that, he was greatful that his friend gave him a chance at all.

Hugging his friend tighlty for a moment longer, he heard her whisper that sh loves him, chuckling, he whispered, "I love you too, babe." Chuckling slightly, he didn't bother pulling away before starting to sing the famous lyrics, "And IIIII will always loooove youuuuuu" Though he may have been off tune and not trying at all to actually sing, all he hoped for was a small laugh from the most improtant person to him.

Lucas wasted no time once they were in the car to buckle up and head towards the beach. They still had plenty of daylight so they could swim, tan, walk, or do whatever they wanted. By this time most people had cleared the beach unless they wanted pictures, so the beach was basically empty when Lucas parked in the parkinglot. Thankfully, living next to a beach meant that he always had extra swimmsuits in his trunk incase they wanted to jump in. He pulled out his gray trunks and his favorite bikini that Lucina had. She didn't know it, but he had stashed it away one night after she left it at his house. Holding the top up against his chest, he shook around and asked how he looked. "Do I look cute yet??" He chuckled a little and tossed it at her. "Are we swimming or just walking?"

Deciding that just incase they decide they want to jump in, he grabbed his shorts and walked into the bathroom a few feet away and came out a few minutes later in his swimming trunks. Tossing his other clothes into the back of the car, he grabbed two towels and looked at his best friend. "We can come back and change before we go to the fair with everyone else. Hey, is your brother and his girlfriend coming to the beach with us too or just the fair?" After they got down to the water, he looked over at his best friend. "Do you think they'd ever date?"
