What makes a hero?

Discussion in 'THREAD ARCHIVES' started by Blind Hemingway, Jun 6, 2013.

  1. What trials unite not only Harry Potter or Frodo Baggins but many of literature's most interesting heroes? And what do ordinary people have in common with these literary heroes? Matthew Winkler takes us step-by-step through the crucial events that make or break a hero.
This is the very concept that our beloved Asmo loves to talk about.

Thats the key to a hero
and what the person does with that courage is trully in the eye of the beholder
  4. Heroes are the people who act as the champion of a certain set of beliefs. They help to inspire others with those ideals by overcoming the odds and showing us we can pack that kind of punch too, in some way. They protect us from villains whose very place is to challenge the ideals one follows.
  5. Well, from what I've heard, if you're holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night; they gotta be strong and they gotta be fast and they gotta be fresh from the fight. And if you REALLY are looking for a hero 'til the morning light; they gotta be sure and it's gotta be soon and they'll need to be larger than life.
