With what took less than an hour felt like an eternity for Ronald as he scaled fences and ran across yards before he reached the edge of the neighborhood that lead into the outskirts of town. It had been a delayed inevitability, but it wasn't a challenge that he would back down from. Afterall, this was his chance to see proof that he wasn't alone in this desolate city. He did allow a moment's break though so to catch his breath as he turned and leaned up against the brick wall that was erected around the establishment he had navigated through in order to get where he was. All was quiet, and nothing was following him... Everything was having a good start so far.

When Ronald felt ready to do so the officer took off his bag then tossed it over the wall, pausing to hear how it landed before feeling that it was safe enough for him to follow the pack he had tossed. "Isn't this just lovely.." He muttered as he grabbed the edge of the wall and pulled himself to the top. Once he was up and about to throw himself over the officer surveyed his surroundings. To the left and right he noticed some walkers shambling around without spotting him yet, and ahead he eyed an alleyway that stretched out between what he thought to be a torched drug store and a gymnasium that had it'd front windows shattered. Ahead past the buildings he could see just a glimpse of green and orange; the 7/11, and it looked like the noise was attracting more attention than just the officers. The best he could do was hope whoever shot survived the encounter, and that he could arrive before the entire city was ontop of them.

So he set forth, pushing himself off the top of the wall he had balanced himself on and landing beside the backpack he had tossed over the wall. When his boots met the ground the officer shot his eyes left to right, trying to once again search for any imminent threats while he collected his backpack in preparation to make a cautious approach towards the alleyway. Typically he'd go from cover to cover, but unlike downtown scenes these streets were almost desolate with not a single automobile in sight.. Nothing to hide behind or sneak around. All he could rely on was his ability to move silently with a tad of luck.

Clifford held up his hand, motioning for Beau to stop moving. Opening the door to the building they'd been holing themselves up in, the male gave the surrounding area a quick look-over. There were a few zombies roaming the area by now, but it wasn't anything they could handle. From what he could tell, there weren't any other survivors nearby, save for those a ways away at the police station. "Anyone alive out there?" he called.

Nothing.

Beau brushed past him and pulled two daggers from her waist. "We'll want to take these ones out quietly, right?" she asked, with the tiniest hint of annoyance. 'Four,' she thought to herself. Rushing the nearest zombie, she quickly dug her blade into its head before it could even react, then pulled it out and swiftly moved on to the next. Once the area was clear, Clifford approached, holding out a dirtied cloth, which Beau used to clean what she could off her daggers. Replacing them by her side, she looked in the direction of the police station.

"You're eager to fight, aren't you?" Clifford smiled. Killing those zombies must've fueled her ambition.

"I just want a challenge is all. Sometimes I feel like Alphas just came into being to give us that challenge." Beau turned her attention towards Clifford and flashed an eerie smile. "Isn't the thought of fighting against something that claims to be that powerful really appealing?"

"I'll admit, it would be interesting, but there's nothing of value to be gained from it."

"C'mon," she nudged him. "Just one shot. Just to see if the fucker can dodge it."

Clifford looked at Beau, then placed a hand on the bag holding their sniper rifle. He laughed at how uppity Beau suddenly got at the thought. "Maybe next time," he told her, smiling all the while.

"You're no fun," Beau whined, reluctantly giving up. "You'll regret it if he decides to come after us. You know he knows we were up there."

"That's a bridge we'll cross if and when we get to it. If he does come after us, however, we make a run for it to our hideout as fast as we can. Our traps will take care of the wolves, and the small pathways will leave little room for him to escape any sort of assault."

Beau smiled and skipped along. 'Now I want him to chase us.'
