Iris was looking out the window of the hospital when she saw the woman walking along the road down below. The young alpha had arrived just the night before, and had decided to catch up on some sleep before she went out to explore that night. Unfortunately, she seemed to not be able to sleep (the bed kept trying to attack her. She had to put it in its place), so she was staring out the window. Watching. Always watching. Her sharp eyes picked out anything below, from a survivor on a motorcycle to a man shooting zombies from a car.

She smiled as she realized the woman down below could keep her amused, considering she couldn't sleep. The alpha wandered down to the entrance, stepping outside but staying to the shadows. Her four eagles circled above like vultures, watching from above and waiting to see what would happen.

Iris stayed in the shadows, eyes following the woman as she meandered along. Once she was close by, Iris cleared her throat. "Hello," she remarked, a smile twisting her face as she shuffled forward. "Human." Above, one of the eagles shrieked. Yep, this would be fun.

Eli heard the man yell, The voice sounded familiar, but the warning shot caught her off guard and she didn't bother trying to remember who's voice it was. She peaked around the corner, aimed her rifle, and shot just as Kris went back into cover, just missing him. She then noticed the three zombies coming from the police station heading towards a girl. "God damnit." She said and aimed back down the scope, she aimed at one zombie's head and pulled the trigger without hesitation, dropping it. And the best part was her rifle was semi-auto which meant she didn't have to worry about a bolt. She immediately aimed for another zombie and shot it in between it's eyes, also dropping it. She then rolled out of cover to get a better view of the last zombie. She got down on one knee and aimed back down the scope before firing and dropping the last zombie. Which also emptied her last bullet in her magazine. But Eli didn't know she was out until she aimed back at the car the man was hiding behind and tried to fire again but it just clicked.

"Shit." Eli said and slid back behind the car, unloaded her empty magazine and placing it in a pocket, pulling a full magazine out of the same pocket and loading it. She then peaked around the car and noticed the girl who ran out of the police station was still standing there. "GET DOWN!" Eli shouted and then aimed her rifle back towards the car the man was hiding behind, waiting for him to peak back around.

(Hey guys, sorry it's short.)

1. Keep walking. You may find a place you think is safe but it's not. Never stop moving.

2. Stay away from the large cities, there is a chance that more Walkers will be gathered there

3. Night-time isn't safe. Hole up and wait for the sun before moving again

4. Trust no one

When their parents passed and then Willow, Alec made sure Clary knew how to keep herself alive should they ever get separated. He had made a long list of rules and Clary found herself repeating some of them like a mantra. The first rule especially. When she ran away that horrible night, she was astounded that she hadn't gotten killed from her mad dash into the darkness. She had run for who knows how long and eventually climbed a fairly large tree and hid in the foliage. There she had waited for the sun to rise, covering her ears as her brothers screams echoed through her mind. Was...Was he dead...? Or worse...? As harsh as it sounded, she hoped he was dead because she knew if he turned into one of them she would not have the power to take him out. She couldn't then and she wouldn't be able to now. The small girl sighed and wiped at the sweat beading on her forehead, tipping her head back and glancing up at the unforgiving sun. While she was certainly glad for the light that kept some of the monsters away, she certainly wasn't grateful of how hot it was. And having hair a long as hers was not helping the situation. She knew the smart thing to do was probably cut her long hair. It was much too dangerous to have; it can be grabbed so easily. But...Alec had loved her hair and had even fought against their parents when they suggested getting it cut. She frowned and gathered her long hair together, staring at it for several moments before she began braiding it away from her face, securing it with the hair tie around her wrist.

There, that felt better. She exhaled a deep breath and looked up at the city looming close by. The small child was resting in the shadows of a few tipped over cars. The good thing about being so small was that she could hide in tight spaces and be over-looked. Her backpack was resting next to her and she licked her lips, longing for some water and food. But she resisted. That was the very reason she had broken one of Alec's rules and traveled so close to a city. She was going to run out of supplies soon and she needed to restock or she would die. She didn't plan on going fully into the city, she hoped she would be able to scavenge through shops on the outer edge. Though there was a possibility it had been picked clean but she needed to try. So far she has done a good job of dodging Walkers and she has yet to run into any Alphas. She shuddered at the thought. She had heard all sorts of stories about them and she desperately hoped she never came across one.

She shook her head, clearing the frightening thoughts from her mind. She didn't have time to sit here all day. She needed to get her mission done and be out of the city by nightfall. The child stood, brushed herself off and peeked out from her hiding place. All coasts were clear. Clary made her way carefully towards the city, darting from shadow to shadow and being as quiet as she could. It took a little bit more time than if she had simply walked straight down the road but she was willing to sacrifice a small bit of time in order to make it across the highway in one piece. The first run-down place she happened across was a 711. She didn't know if it would have anything but it was worth a shot.

Instead of heading in through the front, Clary circled the building and found an unlocked backdoor. She eased her way inside and stood still for a moment, listening. Wait...Was that a noise? It sounded like..breathing? Her brain immediately yelled at her to run but her more compassionate side stepped in. What if someone was hurt and needed her help?

Yeah and what if someone had claimed this place as theirs and was going to shoot her the second she stepped into firing range?

She shook the dark thought from her head and made her towards the front of the store on silent feet. She picked her way around empty boxes and gutted appliances. It's fun how, when the world ends, humans naturally go for the appliances and electronics rather then supplies that would aid in their survival. After a few moments, Clary rounded a corner slowly and promptly froze. It was an actual person. After Willow died, Alec made sure they stayed away from cities and so Clary didn't have interaction with other humans. Her feet froze to the floor and she could only stare at the boy with wide-eyes, the child clenching the front of her shirt with tiny hands.

⇢ ⇢ Kris Derrien

As Kris ducked down behind the car again just as the bullet whizzed by. He elbowed the car in frustration. Nice of whoever it was to answer back. The immediate shot right after his was a clear sign to him that they knew what they were doing. They had to have some military training, he concluded. Which would make a shoot out with them all the more difficult. Even with his Sniper training. Just as he was caught up in his thoughts the girl came running out with zombies following. Had he known there was a survivor inside he would not have shot that warning shot. The shots from the other person can again as they called out to the girl to get down. He grumbled and stayed low quickly moving over to get the girl down and behind the car.

He breathed out a sigh and holstered his gun. It was more than likely a bad idea, but the other person shot at the zombies and even told the girl to get down, the other couldn't have been a raider. A raider would have shot her too and then trained on him so that they could loot them later. He decided to take the scarf around his neck off and hold it up on the end of his knife to signal to the person to not shoot. He placed a hand on the girl's shoulder without saying a word and then stood up slowly and turned around.

"Clearly you don't have completely impure intentions. So why don't you come out and we can discuss things."

He gave a small shrug as he spoke. He stayed behind the car, just in case he had to duck again for being wrong. He glanced at the girl who came out of the police station. What did she plan on finding in there. Though she was probably thinking the same thing he was thinking. Ammunition.

"Get down!"

The words rang loud in Evie's ears despite the resonating noise of gunfire still lingering. Almost dazed, she looked to the door once more to the see the pursuing infected laying dead yet still the standoff between the two strangers continued. So much gunfire... it was sure to lead more of infected to their location. Or worse. Snapping back to reality, she threw herself to the ground, her bow laying just beside her in range as she looked up to Kris.

"What the bloody hell is wrong with you two!?" she screamed out, her British accent more distinct than it ever had been. The distant howling still remained in the back of her mind and the deep-seated feeling of dread wouldn't allay. She watched as Kris aimed to the extend the olive branch to the mystery person who had helped her deal with the infected. Evie only hoped that person would respond positively. "Look, I don't mean to be an awkward addition to this squabble and I'm not going to pretend to know what this is about... but... we need to get out of here... preferably alive... then we can go our separate ways," she called out to both of them, trying to be a diplomatic voice. "Obviously you're both well armed, and obviously you both know how to shoot... but... can we just argue where we're not about to get flooded with infected?" Despite her words, her right hand slowly moved down towards her hip where the concealed pistol rested within her belt. Should the situation go south, she would be ready to defend herself.

Breathe in. Breathe out. The pain would fade, eventually, slowly. His hand grasped his thigh to slow the bleeding, unsteady, shaky breaths escaping his lungs at a steady pace. The aching, stinging in his leg was beginning to lessen in it's intensity, but Finch was never one to deal with pain well. He rested his head against the shelf, staring at the ceiling with pale blue eyes. He had to focus on something else, or rather, focus on his surroundings. He knew he could walk on his leg need be, but that didn't mean he would be good at it; if one of those undead bastards decided to leisure their way into the building, he'd have to shoot, and then he'd have to run. He couldn't afford to be found, and he couldn't afford to be more vulnerable than necessary, either.

Finch froze when he heard howling in the distance. His blood ran cold-- fuck, there was no way he could outrun an Alpha, or it's pack, especially in his condition. He instinctively reached for his gun, bringing it closer to him and using his free hand to rest over it protectively, as if letting go of it for more than a second meant death. And maybe it did. Finch knew he had to relocated, he had to get out of here while he had the head start on whatever was coming his way, there was no way he'd be able to outrun something if it got too close. Just as he went to stand up, ready to endure the pain in his leg, his heart stopped.

Foot steps.

The blond instinctively reached for the gun on his side, holding his breathe as the barely audible sounds got closer and closer. He was surprised he was able to hear it, the steps were so gentle and faint, but it didn't stop him from readying his finger on the trigger as he waited for whatever it was to round the corner so he could empty a round of bullets in it's chest. Closer, closer, closer...

The figure rounded the corner.

It was a little girl.

He froze, the gun still aimed at the figure, the girl, until he let out a breath he hadn't realized he had been holding. With shaky hands, he slowly lowered his gun, his eyes wide like a deer in headlights, staring up at the girl until giggles started to bubble up in his chest. Why was he laughing? He didn't know, maybe a panicked reaction from a) thinking he was about to die, and b) from nearly shooting down a poor, innocent child who was raiding a store. He never took his hand off the gun, but rested it at his side, feeling cold relief wash over him. "I.. I almost shot you. I can't believe I almost shot you. " He rambled, although it was obvious that he was just speaking to speak. What was there to say in a situation like this? Besides, Finch was nearly convinced he was hallucinating. He hadn't seen a fellow survivor in a week, maybe two, and the man had his limbs ripped apart by an Alpha's pack. It hadn't been a pretty sight.

The hot sun was beginning to get to her as she reached into her bag and pulled out a water bottle, nearly downing half of it before she remembered, begrudgingly, that she needed to save her source of pure water for as long as she could. Most people went for the water bottles first, it was hard to find packs anymore. She wiped the sweat from her forehead- and she knew her black hair wasn't helping the whole 'heat' issue. But it wasn't like she could help it, it's not like she could get a dye job during a zombie apocalypse, just doing her best to keep the long, wavy locks out of her face as she walked. I would kill for some ice cream right now..

The woman was snapped from her thoughts when she heard a voice. For a moment, her heart did a little jump, of both hope and fear. Her first thought was another survivor, thank god, because zombies don't talk.. but the cry of a bird overhead was the only indication she needed to send her back into reality. No, of it wasn't a survivor. God forbid she be lucky for once, right? She nearly snorted at the thought, looking over to the girl who remained in the shadows. It didn't take more than two seconds for Marcy to conclude that the girl was an Alpha, yet she refused to show the sense of fear and regret settling in her gut.

"What's up, zombitch?" Marcy sneered as she looked over to the girl, easily meeting her eyes-- the eyes that could very well mean her death. As she spoke, one hand rested on her hip, ghosting over the handle of the gun that was concealed by her tee-shirt, while the other hand gripped the axe tightly; her only visible sign of fear. Her brown eyes casted upwards at the eagles, frowning. "Awe, how cute," she said as her eyes lowered back down to the Alpha in front of her, "if they shit on my new shirt, I'll be having bird meat for dinner." By new shirt, she meant that she stole it off a Walmart rack after her previous shirt had been soaked in blood.

Marcy was quite literally playing with fire as of now, but... at least it would prove to be amusing.

Iris giggled as she rocked back on her heels. This woman was fun already. "I think you'll have more pressing matters to deal with besides a little eagle poo," she smirked. "Like being ripped apart. But, y'know, if you really care about your shirt I'll make sure they leave it alone," she shrugged. "What's your name? I'm Iris." She liked having a little conversation before her kill, after all.

Above, the eagles screeched again, hungry for their meal and growing impatient. She sent a glare up to them, a sign to shut up so she could talk. She settled her gaze on the woman again and smiled, mentally noting the axe she had in her hand and the way her fingers twitched toward her waist. An axe and something else, either a gun or a knife. She could play the weapons game too. She wasn't completely defenseless, she had her knife.

Her fingers wrapped around its handle and she pulled it from her sheath, fingering the blade as she waited for the human's answer.

Marcy literally snorted. "You're going to make me take my shirt off before you rip me apart? Kinky." She purred, glancing up at the eagles as Iris glared. She could.. take on a couple of eagles.. If she locked herself in a box and only had a hole to shoot out of. She swallowed hard, but retained a straight face even as she looked death in the eye. She looked the woman over for a moment, brown eyes scanning the twitch of her fingers as they ghosted over a weapon, the way she shrugged when she spoke, as if Marcy's death would be nothing but a casual affair. She heard a howl in the distance. Since when were alphas this active in the day?

"Marcy, my name is Marcy," she said, stalling for as long as she could. Her voice was hoarse, scratchy, from lack of using it for so long. It had been so long since she had a conversation with somebody, even if Iris saw her as nothing but a meal. She thumbed over the tape across the handle of her axe, never once taking her eyes off of the other girl. "So, Iris, do you always play with your food this much, or am I special?" She teased, flipping her hair out of her face. "If that's the case, I can say I'm honored." She added with a small snort.

It was so.. surreal. This person, this girl who was eyeing her like a piece of fresh steak, she was human once. She was different from the zombies that Marcy killed on the daily, because she still retained that human intelligence, and it made her all the more dangerous. She had had a few close-calls with an Alpha or two, but never once did she actually catch a close-up look of said predator. She had once been chased by a pack of geese, (funny, right?), and another time by a few stray dogs, but never had she been this close to their leader. And meeting her eyes, it made Marcy's stomach drop. They were so much more dangerous, because they were so much more human.

Felix Carrigan
Currently in a very sour mood

Felix slowed to a walk as he drew closer to the police station. His wolves snarling and barking at each other as they came running around the corner. Wolves were fickle creatures, especially when they are always hungry. The darkest wolf, to which he would call Shade, was the first to approach Felix. Shade was considered the Beta of the pack. He was the strongest and the one that Felix favored most of all. The other two were Ixe and the one with brown splotches called Neer. They were all odd names for the wolves, but Felix wasn't always in his right mind now was he. Shade approached slowly and eyed Felix carefully.

"You found them. Good boy."

He grinned and pat the wolf on the head. He dug into the pocket of his pants and pulled out a throwing knife pouch, that carried four throwing knives. He had more stuffed his other pocket. He pulled one out and admired it before taking it and running it across the glass windows as he walked. He could hear the humans talking now. Three of them, he guess. A creepy grin growing across his features as he started to quote a poem just loud enough for the humans to hear him.

It is the end of times
Sound of fate in the chimes
Up rises the living dead
Filling thoughts full of dread
Creepily moving, ominous woe
Sea of the departed, hobbling slow
Gnarled teeth, eating flesh
Craving blood warm and fresh
Waves of corpses, a lifeless tsunami
Lookout world, here comes the zombies!

(The poem is by a man named Bijan Nowain. Thought it best to credit the author for using it.)

Iris grinned widely at Marcy. Ah,
humans with a sense of humor. Maybe she'd let this one go. Maybe. But probably not. "I like before-dinner conversations," she informed the woman, shrugging. "And you don't need to take your shirt off. I'll have them rip your legs off and then you'll bleed to death without getting your shirt all grimy. It's a nice shirt."

The alpha noticed that the human seemed mildly confused when she heard the howls. She was probably wondering why Iris was out and about. But she didn't say anything, so Iris didn't, either.

Iris finally held out her arm and one of the four birds of prey circling above swooped down and landed on it, talons pricking her flesh. She didn't flinch. It was Swift, the smallest and the most nimble of the four. Iris smiled at the woman, gauging her reaction. It was meant to keep her vision on Iris so the other three above could get into position.

Claw and Storm, the strong ones, would attack from the front, while Night, the ninja, would come in from behind. There'd be no escape....at least, not unless this woman was fast enough to outrun four angry golden eagles and one alpha.

Conner

Conner listened to the guy who had spoken grimly. He didn't know who the fuck the guys was, and whether or not he was hostile. He'd obviously been following them a while though, since the guy knew he had a Garand on his back. He shook his head though. With the animals nearby, and perhaps even an Alpha, chances could not be taken, or rather shouldn't be taken. Still, even if it was a wild chance, and even if it was a risk, he had the nickname of Lucky for a reason.

"All right then buddy, get in here, but be warned, I'm a pretty good shot, and i've got fast reflexes, don't do anything stupid."

Conner waited then until the man came in, and then shut the door before pushing over a vending machine in front of the door. The loud crash that followed was expected and worth it, since the metal door opened inward, and the heavy metal door also had a lock that could be accessed from their side of the door. With a quick switch of the lock, he secured the door, then pulled on the handle to ensure it was secure. They'd be good, at least for now.

He then ran up the stairs, drew his pistol and reloaded it, then holstered it again, and then took his pack off and put it down, pulling the ammo can off the side and placing it near the roof ledge where the girl had gone to stand, presumably to cover the area. He chuckled a bit, he felt like he was in a war all over again. The position was a good one, with the road to the town and the area in front of them a wide open spot, the girl's rifle made it a killzone, and they only really needed to worry about that area. The girl asked if they would actively attacking the wolves if they didn't come, and he shook his head, that would be stupid.

"No, we're gonna do the smart thing and sit tight kid. I got more the enough food for quite a bit of waiting for even all three of us, and more then enough water after I got through the highway. We are okay for a bit of time."

He chuckled and then turned away from the ledge, sliding down against the small waist high wall and sitting in the gravel on the roof.

"Right, well, we'll be doing a bit of waiting, just keep scannin' for those wolves kid, we'll see 'em before they get to us."

"Oh God man...just let me go man, please bro, I didn't mean to trespass, look you can keep my gun." The man said shakily as he took a step back from black haired Alpha. Quinn stared blankly at the meatbag, hm, well he wouldn't be able to get away, as he was quite heavy. He was an older gentleman, probably in his late thirties or early forties. Quinn took a step forward, his blank stare turning into a glare of hate.

"You probably should've just kept walking, but nope. You had to stop by and test my patience." Quinn said, taking a closer step to the human. His fists curling tightly, this human was like so many other humans, greedy, cold, unfeeling. Quinn hated humans, creatures who killed and maimed without a second thought. The human tried to bolt, but he was quickly grabbed by the neck and forced to the ground.

"All you humans are the same, selfish, cold hearted, uncaring. It's about time something like this would happen." Quinn smiled coldly. He sensed his bears lumbering through the woods and into the clearing he was at. "How bout this, you beg and cry, and shit your pants, and maybe, just maybe, I'll give you a quick death." He paused a moment, picking up on the howls of what appeared to be wolves in the distance. He was so busy focusing on the howling that he let his grip on the human slip, allowing Dag, the older bear, to pounce on the human.

Quinn stepped to the side as he watched the carnage. He couldn't but smile as he watched the human be ripped apart by Dag. In fact,

it amused him, he broke out in laughter as the human spewed massive amounts of blood onto the foliage at Quinn's feet. Moments, later, Dag

ceased attacking, and all that remained were bloodied bones.

"Good work boys....now how bout we pay our good friends in Atlanta a visit?" He asked. The bear seemed to roar in agreement as Quinn turned an left the bloody clearing, determined to get to Atlanta before all the fun had been had

Eli heard him shout out a truce. She waited for a moment before getting out of her cover to check and see if he meant it. The she began to walk over to see who they were, but the closer she got the more she realized who it was. Eli usually never cries but she couldn't help but have a few tears roll down her cheeks. "N-no it can't be." She said as her walking speed turned into a runnig speed until she was right next to the two. She stared at Kris. "K-Kris? Is that really you?" Eli asked, almost as if she thought her minds were playing tricks on her.

She then noticed the other girl put her hand on her pistol. "Please, no need." She stated and just after that she heard a poem being sung. "My god no. No please no. Not when I just found my friend." She said. Her sad face turned more into an anger look as she turned towards the direction of the poem. She made sure her rifle was loaded. But then remembered how much of a pain these guys were by the stories. She looked back at Kris. "We need to get out of her, Now. Forget the police station, we'll find munition else where. We just really need to get out." She then stated. She listened, And now the Poem was getting too close. She made a sigh and closed her eyes. "Go, I'll hold him off long enough for you two to run." She then stated before turning back in the direction of the Alpha.

Seeing the situation start to resolve itself, Evie relaxed a moment. A deep exhalation of breath accompanied a muttered 'thank god' as she scrambled to her feet. It seemed obvious that the two strangers knew each other and, given their uniforms, Evie could only surmise that they had served together in the military. Bringing her bow back to a lowered yet loaded position, she approached the pair.

"I'm Ev-"

Before she could finish her introduction, the sound of sinister and not-quite-human voice overruled her. Tightening her bow string in response, she took a knee and began to look about for the source of the voice. And just when her heart had started to calm, too.

"We need to get out of here. Now! Forget the police station, we'll find munition elsewhere. We just really need to get out. Go! I'll hold him off long enough for you two to run," the ghillie-clad girl commanded. Evie looked to Kris a moment, waiting to gauge his reaction. There was a feeling of doubt that he would leave his friend. But, as selfish as it sounded, Evie didn't want to die here. Shuffling forward slightly, she looked straight at Kris.

"Come on," she prosed, her tone almost insistent.

Cora nodded and stood watch, glancing over to the two men every once in a while. "Well, that'll give us plenty of time to get to know each other," she remarked. "Who're you?" She examined the new man out of the corner of her eyes, obviously curious and not trying to hide it. Where'd this guy come from? Who was he?

She settled on her knees and balanced her rifle on the wall, ready to shoot should it be needed. It wasn't, not yet, but she could see the wolves passing, followed by a man. An alpha. She narrowed her eyes and was temped to shoot right then and there, but followed common sense and instructions and didn't shoot.

Now, if she was alone, it might be a different matter entirely.

Jason Park
Jason followed the guy into the building relieved that he had found some shelter. "Thanks man," he said, but the guy kept moving towards the roof. Jay noted a couple of things about "Garand" as he was calling him. First he was definitely loaded with various survival gear, knives, and funs on him. Second he was super fit and built despite his age. Finally the guy was most likely part of some militia/survivor group as he was trained and was still carrying outdated weaponry. Whoever this guy was, Jay was thankful he was on his side.

The girl on the roof caught him by surprise. The kid was no older than 18, but here she was in the middle of the zombie apocalypse with a rifle in her hand. "Oh. The names Jason and I'm guessing thats your bike out there. Nice ride," he said in an attempt at some small talk to break the tension. Noting that she was focusing on shooting, Jay sighed as he leaned against one of the walls backing off because obviously out of his element. Here were these two obviously trained and better armed than him. What did he have? 2 weeks of training at the Farm, a pistol, and a fire axe. Well shit.... he thought as he began to doze off in the corner.

Kris was more relieved than he probably should have been at that very moment. Seeing Eli after having lost Xavier was such a weight off of his shoulders. Seeing someone from the unit that still managed to survive for so long meant the world for him. Before he could feel too relieved the sound of someone quoting a poem drew ever closer to the trio. It sent chills down his spine once again as the Alpha and his wolves rounded the corner. Great, wolves. The Alpha sauntered around casually and with a sense of purpose. He was clearly there for a reason.

Kris swallowed hard as the Alpha finished his poem with a chuckle. Eli telling him that they needed to get out there and that she was going to stay and hold the Alpha back by herself. Kris shook his head.

"Oh no you don't. We are not playing the leave one person behind just to get away from an Alpha that could clearly chase us all down quickly. Especially with his pack here."

Kris watched the Alpha carefully. He had wolves with him, it was the first time he had seen an Alpha with an actual pack of wolves.

"Eli we are all getting out of here."

Felix Carrigan
Currently in a very sour mood

As Felix sauntered around the corner he twirled the throwing knife around in his hand. He watched the three humans as they talked among themselves. He walked over to a car and hopped on top of it with ease. He sat on the roof of it and crossed one leg over the other and leaned on his elbow. He cocked his head to the side. They were clearly talking about separating and getting away, but the male was not having it. He grinned devilishly and waved his hand at the humans to get their attention.

"Now, now, no need to discuss who is going to get away and who isn't. You clearly do not know my intentions just yet. While the temptation to kill you is very big, I'm not quite to that point yet. I want to have a little fun first, you know? We Alpha's do love our fun. Do you know what out favorite game is?"

He questioned as his wolves growled and snapped at one another again. All of them salivating at the mouth as if they hadn't eaten already.

"No? I will tell you if you want me to."

Felix slapped himself on the head lightly and rolled his eyes. He threw a piece of broken concrete at the wolves to quiet them.

"Oh geez, where are my manners. I am Felix. Some of you may think of me as a myth or maybe it's the Alpha's that do? Whatever the case. I can be much more civil than some of my other Alpha counterparts. Unless of course the voices piss me off."

He rambled on and then smiled mischievously watching the humans.

Evie's mouth hung open for a time, shocked to see that there were was one of those things that could talk... and so eloquently too. She gulped hard as she looked up at the creature. After all, despite its intelligence, that's what it was still... a feral beast. It's level of intellect only made it all the more dangerous. Her whole body was shaking from the adrenaline pumping through her system and she felt as if she was going to throw up. All of her muscles screamed to run but her brain put them into lock down. She was quick, quicker than most. She was nimble, nimbler than most. But to outrun a pack of wolves? Even if she could find somewhere to climb to high ground, there would be no chance she'd make it before being run down. Was she really going to have to go along with this thing's game?

Her breaths were shallow and rapid as she shuffled closer to Kris, looking to both him and Eli to take charge of the situation. She could barely breathe, let alone talk. Any attempt to just resulted in the scattered exhalation of strangled air. Words felt like hot ash in her throat and the cold sweat that lined her brow before now pumped from her skin profusely in terror. Still, despite her panic, in her only sober, clear thoughts, she prepared to defend herself using the pistol. Despite any mutations, at the range they were at a .45 round would penetrate the skulls of the wolves. The only question that would remain was how tough was this 'Alpha'.
