I HAVE GENERIC "WESTERN".

I guess my southern bell dun come out enough. D:

New York City. You are most definitely from New York City. Not New Jersey, not Connecticut. If you are from Jersey then you can probably get into New York City in 10 minutes or less.

Riiiiiiiiteeeeeeeeee.

...New York Viking?

I'm from America
I speak American

Southern. Love it or hate it, your accent says you're probably from somewhere south of the Ohio River.

It's true. I lived in Texas for a while and the accent influenced me pretty heavily. All my friends had it! x__x Even after I moved, it stuck.

Get back to me when I get over my allergies...

Fucking sinuses...

Took one of these before... says I was a new yorker =/

It said I was plain neutral. No leaning towards anything in particular.

Ha-ha. This is funny. North Central - straight MN, which is true. It also says I might be Canadian. Now there's an idea.

Southern. Love it or hate it, your accent says you're probably from somewhere south of the Ohio River.

If you're not from the South, you probably were overanalyzing the questions. Take the quiz again but don't think so hard next time.

WHO'DA THUNK IT?!

hmm I took it once and got southerner and then again (just to check) and got Northern hahaha

Hrm... got the same as Butterfly, t'was Neutral.

Western. Like Midland, Western is another accent that people consider neutral. So, you might not actually be from the Western half of the country, but you definitely sound like it.

And if you're not from the West, you are probably one of the following:
(a) A Pittsburgher - the quiz can't tell the difference;
(b) Someone from Canada (probably southern Ontario) who doesn't have a Canadian accent;
(c) Someone from northern New England who doesn't have a New England accent; or
(d) Someone from Texas or the Heartland who was born after 1980.
You are definitely not from New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Detroit, the Deep South, etc.

FLORIDA FUCKS WITH ALL OF YOUR SO CALLED "ACCENT".

Also, its not an "accent", its a "dialect".

You can thank University learning for beating that into me to the point of wanting a chance to use that. On the other hand given what job I want to do. . . I can imitate pretty much every dialect to a certain degree.

WHO'DA THUNK IT?!

Bot like you're from Jawjuh or anything

Neutral. Not Northern, Southern, or Western, just American. Your national American identity is more important to you than your local identity, because you don't really have a local identity to begin with.

Northern. Whether you have the world famous Inland North accent of the Great Lakes area, or the radio-friendly sound of upstate NY and western New England, your accent is what used to set the standard for American English pronunciation (not much anymore now that the Inland North sounds like it does).

I HAVE THE VOICE OF A NEWS REPORTER.

I have the accent that makes all the bitches wet for Antonio Banderas.
