dice - This roleplay uses dice or random number generation to determine the outcome of certain events.

As the wiki defines, roleplays tagged with "dice" use physical/computer-generated dice or randomly generated numbers to determine the outcome of certain situations—especially combat. Some systems/campaign settings which people might be familiar with include Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, World of Darkness, and GURPS, but you are not restricted to these! Any dice system is allowed, and you can rely on dice rolls as little or as much as you like.

The basics of any dice-based roleplay are this:

1. You decide on an action.

2. You roll a die/generate a random number.

3. The number that you get determines how successful or unsuccessful you are at that action. The rules of the game will tell you what the requirements are for success.

4. You roleplay that action based on your level of success.

What you can tag as "dice":

Play-by-post roleplays which use dice
Signups for chat roleplays using the Dicebox or other on-site chats (in the signup section only)
Signups for roleplays using Roll20 (in the signup section only)
Signups for roleplays using Skype (in the signup section only)

How to use the Dicebox:

The Dicebox is found here. In Dicebox (or other chats), you can use the chat dice roll function.

The command is "/roll", followed by the number of dice and the number of sides to each die. You can use any number of dice or sides that you prefer. Common die types include four-sided, six-sided, eight-sided, ten-sided, twelve-sided, twenty-sided, and one-hundred-sided dice.

For example:

/roll 2d100 would roll two 100-sided dice.

You may also use the Dicebox to make rolls for your play-by-post roleplays. Common practices include copying-and-pasting or taking a screenshot of the chat message to prove the roll was made. Game Masters can check chat logs to make sure that the rolls match.

How to use the forum post dice function:

You can also use a built-in post function to make die rolls. At the bottom right-hand corner of any post, you will see a link for "More options". (Note: This will only work on existing posts that are not in edit-mode. This is to prevent cheating by refreshing bad rolls.) Click this link, then click "Throw a dice". In the two fields that are available, specify first the number of dice you would like to roll and then the number of sides ("faces"). The maximum number of sides here is 99.

So we are clear to use that Dice Roller link in Atmo's post as an option to run games?
