They are a rich blue color that appear to almost pop out. His hair is usually kept short and fluffed up out of his face, though on occasion it has been known to get rather long in a short amount of time if unmaintained.

Except he wears short black boots that go just above the ankle.

::PERSONALITY::
Niko is the type of person who could be serious when he wants to be. More often than not he will be childish and make snarky, unnecessary remarks. It keeps his sanity from slipping ever since he lost his family during the breakout. At times he can get flustered or not know what to say when he meets new people, especially people who are more dominant towards him. Although he has a creative mind, he often lacks the bravado to go through with it. [CAUTION] He can be very social at times.

Niko grew up in a fairly large family in his opinion. There was his younger sister Mischa and his younger, almost twin, brother Callum. Mischa, being five years younger than him, was treated like the baby of the family. He deeply cherished his family over anything else. Callum was of course his favorite sibling since they were only a year apart. They were practically the same person with how alike they were. The three of them were always seen together, laughing and messing about like most siblings. When they would go to school Niko was the one who would stick up for them and defend his younger siblings from anything that could harm them. Then the contagion began to spread around the country until his family was consumed by the infected. He witnessed unforgetable horror before he ran off to survive on his own. Eventually he found camps to survive with until they were overrun, that's how he found out about a little town in Montana that would keep them safe. From there he vowed to get through this no matter what.

Maddie was born to two Swiss parents with a brother, Luca, that was twelve years younger than her. She didn't grow up with a sibling so she didn't have anyone to play with as a child. She didn't have many friends since she was too shy to make any at school and they thought she was weird for knowing how to use a sword. This resulted in her always being alone. The only thing she enjoyed doing was going to her classes and learn more about sword wielding; she was gifted with one by her mother for her tenth birthday. Eventually as she got older she couldn't take it anymore and decided to completely change her personality to someone who could easily make friends with anyone. Around that time was when her younger brother was born. She found a newfound joy in being around children since she was about twelve years old and loved little children. Once she turned sixteen her family moved out of Switzerland and into the United States. Not long after that the infection broke out and people started to panic. The government had people take shelter in safehouses but when her family was on the way there they got separated in a crowd. Maddie never saw them again after that but hoped they were still alive. Then on she survived on her own with nothing but her wits and her katana.
One day she happened to hear about a town in Montana. It didn't take very long for her to find her way there and become one of it's members.

STRENGTHS: Her agility and strength. She is not exceptionally strong in nature, but she is stronger than she looks to say the least.
WEAKNESSES: She is too caring for those who are weaker than her and continuously attempts to better them as well as herself. She hates to leave people behind.
BAGGAGE: She carries a backpack filled with food and ammunition. She also has a handgun, and a ring that she wears on her right middle finger which was a gift from her father which she received on her tenth birthday.
HISTORY: Bexley ran away from home shortly after the outbreak, after bearing witness to her mother being transformed into "one of those things". She also left the fate of her three younger sisters and her older brother in the hands of their father, who she last saw aiming a gun at their infected mother before she fled.

OUTFIT: A jean jacket, or what used to be a jacket before she severed the sleeves herself so that it was more like a vest. She also wears a pair of denim jeans and army boots.
PERSONALITY: Lynne is the type of woman who doesn't approve of those who talk back to her or show any signs of disrespect. Lynne was a mother before the apocalypse began, but both of her daughters and her husband went missing when the apocalypse began. Thus, she has adopted an amoral attitude towards the world, and is willing to kill both humans and infected alike if she feels as if it would benefit the majority. She is almost entirely selfless, always putting the needs of the few before the needs of the many, but cares more about the survival of humanity rather than individuals. She is the woman who gets things done when it needs to be done.
LIKES: Silence, company of children, intelligent people
DISLIKES: Disrespectful people
STRENGTHS: Her physical strength - she is easily able to overpower a man of average strength, and is very capable with most guns and melee weapons. She is also intelligent.
WEAKNESSES: On the other hand, although she is strong, she is not quite as athletic or agile as she used to be. She is also prone to emotional rages if someone speaks ill of her children.
BAGGAGE: She carries three photos with her; one of her daughters together, one of her with her husband on their wedding day, and one of her with her husband and their oldest daughter while she was pregnant with her second daughter. As well as this, she carries her younger daughter's doll.
Besides from memorabilia, she also carries a water bottle, two handguns, several grenades and a machine gun which she straps to her back.
HISTORY: Lynne was born and raised in Texas, where she met and married her childhood sweetheart, Ben Harrison. She bore him two daughters, Victoria and Nancy. When they realised that the outbreak was real, Ben decided to relocate them to a place where he knew was safe, however at some point during the journey, they were attacked by a band of men trying to steal their equipment and she lost contact with them after they split up. She has since found Safe Haven, where she now resides in order to survive.

I'm sorry guys... A few things have come up and stalled me. My mom just recently got a hip replacement, and I've been having to help her, that and school is giving me issues, but enough with excuses. I am working on the IC right now. The new format is also confusing me....


It will also now be called New Haven, instead of Safe Haven. I think it is fitting.

YAY! And I hope your mom is okay!
 
Alright. So here is how this is going to work. I will make a GM post once a week, on Saturdays. These posts will be plot related and be used to move the story forward. You need at least once a week. The first time you miss a post for a week, you will get a warning, the second week IN A ROW that you do not make an IC post, your character will be removed. Now, if you PM me BEFORE the week ticks over and give me a reason for you not posting, I will be understanding and not kill your character or count it against you. Depending on how you frequently the group as a whole I might make GM posts twice a week, but we will start with once. Please, ask me questions if you feel the need. I have a feeling I didn't explain all that the best I could...

Now, here is the IC. I'm sorry the opening is a bit short, but I wanted to get it done and open for you guys. Your characters will all start in, or entering the city. If you would like to form up groups before posting, please do so in PMs or in this OOC before making your first posts.
