Disneyland. A place of magic, wonder, and childhood nostalgia. Known internationally as 'the happiest place on Earth', and for good reason. Everything is truly magical about this theme park: The rides, the music, the employees, the food, and even the aesthetic/insane attention to detail within the park and it's various 'lands'. Everything works together to create such a surreal and wonderful environment that ensures the guests have a truly memorable experience.

Not to mention it's the only place on Earth where you'll ever imagine something like this happening:

But yes, this is a magical place to be. However, it's not always fun and games here at the Magic Kingdom. As a matter of fact, it can be quite the effort to put everything together for the next operating day for the employees. Wether they're running the restaurants, being a Character, even telling people to 'enjoy the ride' at an attraction, every single employee is crucial in maintaining both the park itself, and Walt's vision for what he imagined his 'kingdom' would be.

On top of all the hard work, there's also quite a lot of drama and secrets behind the scenes at the House of Mouse. The guy in the Goofy suit? Total jackass. The red haired girl working at the Matterhorn? She's actually dating the girl dressed as Rapunzel. Aladdin? 'He' is actually a 'she', she just hides it very well.

But these are not always 'scandalous'. For instance, did you know that Aaron at the French Market Resturant wants to become an artist? Or that one day when a kid got too scared to go on 'Buzz Lightyear's Astro-Blasters', "TRON" sat outside the entrance with the kid's Dad to try and cheer him up? Or that, if you say she's got the most beautiful voice in the world, the girl playing Ariel will get an enormous blush and give you a hug because she has self confidence issues and you just brightened her day?

Or that, behind the scenes, many of the employees are really good friends who all share a common love for all things Disney?

Well, you're about to. Because this RP is going to take a look at their day-to-day lives and dealings throughout the Park, all while they struggle with personal relationships, their jobs, and with each other, both on and off Company property.

These particular workers are actually part of a new 'Student Employment Program' promoted by the Walt Disney Company. To help pay their way through their respective college educations, the Walt Disney corp offers students a special deal: if the students work at one of their parks, not only will the company pay them as workers, but they will be given a college education at one of three schools owned by the company (Jasher, Brayton, and Harborson). The classes are done mostly online, twice a week (typically two hours per class), and the company always provides time for both School and work without one interfering with the other. The students will all live in the same student house together and share a room with one other person. One day per week, they can visit the park as guests and enjoy the rides/food for themselves, but they are also allowed to enjoy the park in civilian clothes once their shift is over.

Alright, so I'll be limiting the jobs at a Resturant/Ride to 1-2 People (even if there's multiple entrances like the Matterhorn). You'll be allowed 3 characters (Maximum), and you could have either two costume characters and one attraction/Resturant character, or two attraction/Resturant characters and one costume character (unless you decide to have 1-2 characters, at which point there isn't a lot of 'rules').

~ Universities ~

Jasher University - The hotspot for all that is inventive and new. Focusing on the 'Arts and Humanities', Jasher University is where you want to go if you wish to pursue a career on the creative side of life. Writing, film, painting, music, etcetera!

Brayton University - The institute for technology and science, Damon is the place you want to go in order to learn how to, one day, save lives. Some of the jobs that can come from being enrolled at this university are: Doctor, Nurse, Biologist, etcetera.

Harborson University - Created for those who desire to invest their futures with the world of Business. Crunching numbers, filling out forms, filing taxes, all of the good stuff. Some of the careers that one can get after graduating from Clark are; Accountant, Corporate Manager, Lawyer, etcetera.


~ House Rules ~

1. Don't break the law. Seriously, don't. It makes the company look bad and will result in immediate termination. No stealing, no illicit drugs, nothing. This rule applies to both the student house and the workplace.

2. All firearms and explosives, including smoke bombs and fireworks, are prohibited (except when certain conditions are met with the Head of House, such as a 4th of July celebration in the backyard). If you are caught with explosives in your room or on your person without having filled in the proper paperwork, you will be terminated.

3. You are under a strike rule. For each rule you violate, you will receive one strike, unless stated otherwise. At five strikes, you lose meal privileges. After 10, we start cutting wages. When you get to 25, you are
fired, no questions asked.

4. Curfew is at 12am for everyone and lasts till 5am. You are all expected to be inside the house and inside dorms by that time. Breaking this rule will result in a strike. You are allowed to have parties and small gatherings between these times, but be mindful of the other tenants, as they might be sleeping.

5. Romance is allowed inside the house, although the company would prefer not having all the drama associated with break-ups and the sort. However, we realize it is inevitable that somebody might find interest in another, so all we ask is that you do your best to keep it as discreet as possible in the house and at the Park (while working). If 'certain interactions' be desired, please figure out a schedule with your roommate to make sure nobody is inconvenienced. If problems should arise, please take them to the Head of House.

6. All job assignments are final, no exceptions. You may bring it up with the Head of House if it poses a legal issue, or an issue of personal safety. You may apply for other positions within the park, but an application can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few years before it is approved.

7. All room assignments are final. Violating the maximum capacity for sleeping room (2) or switching rooms
will result in a strike, unless otherwise discussed with the Head of House.

8. No pets as it causes problems with specific peoples allergies. Violating will result in a strike.

9. Murder is illegal, so is kidnapping, please don't commit these crimes, you will not only be fired, you will also be incarcerated.

10. As medicines, parties and gatherings are allowed, but no alcohol will be permitted inside the house. Also loud music after 12 is not permitted, as some people may be trying to sleep.

11. Alcohol and drugs are not permitted inside the house. Underage drinking is also not permitted. You will be terminated if circumstances lead us to believe you provided liquor to someone underage/you yourself are underage and were provided liquor. Any signs of drugs on your person or found in your room will result in termination.

12. Respect your dorm supervisors, they are the closest form of vigilance among the house.

13. Enjoy your time here, and remember, be positive.


~ Work Rules ~

1. Don't break the law. This is the easiest rule to follow; so just don't do it.

2. Do not curse at guests, as it ruins their experience at Disneyland. This will result in immediate termination.

3. Always point with two fingers. It's the Disney way, as we are following Walt's Suit.

4. Smile~ It makes the guests feel welcome.

5. Each job has special needs. You are required to meet all those needs without question. Violation will result in a pay reduction.

6. Be nice to every and all other colleagues that you like, and those you don't like. All personal issues can be dealt with after work hours, so just plaster on a smile and keep going.

7. You must know every single nook and cranny of the Park, as you will have to navigate it constantly.

8. Wave to all little children, and make sure to give all customers the best experience.

9. Do not complain on the job.

10. All costume people are to greet children, always smile, and act as your character. You must have your signature down to a 't' and be ready to sign at any time. You may not stop smiling at any point and you must have exceptional knowledge on your movie. Exceptions to this rule may only apply if your character is not supposed to smile or be 'friendly', but still be good with the guests (just remain in-character and try not to upset anyone).

12. All costume characters, provided their movie has a partnership, must act as they are in such relationship while in character. No exceptions may be made for this rule. In addition, no inter-franchise relationships at the park (for example: Aladdin and Tinkerbell cannot be seen kissing publicly).

13. All food vendors are not allowed to eat while on the job, as it can cause the spread of germs and contamination of the product.

14. Shoplifting is illegal, do not take any items without paying the correct amount. Employees get a 15% discount on any product, just show your ID card.

15. All ride operators are not allowed to ride the rides at any time. There will be an employee day every Friday, and an optional day every Sunday, where you are allowed to act as a guest.

16. Always do your best to make guests comfortable and don't forget to smile~

~ Game Rules ~

1. No godmodding, metagaming, etc.

2. Proper grammar is required. This is an Intermediate level RP, I expect a solid two paragraphs per IC post. No one liners either. You can also work with collabs if you don't want to flood the IC with only one conversation, so use that to your advantage!

3. Please use real images for your characters. For your outfits/costumes as a character, you can use a drawn image or a real picture of them at the park/cosplay.

4. Maximum of three characters per player. If you want more, you'll have to give me a really good reason or kill off one of your existing guys. If you have 3 characters, one of them has to have a different job then the others (ex. Two costumed characters, the third character works at a Resturant/attraction, or, two Resturant/attraction characters, the third works as a costumed character).

5. Characters can (and potentially will under certain circumstances) die. If they do, you can make another, should you want to fill that void.

5 1/2. If you have one character and want to leave the RP indefinitely, we can collaborate on a creative way for your character to either leave or get killed off. This really only applies if you want to kill your character. If you don't want to, then ignore this rule.

6. Try to be nice to one another in both the IC and the OoC. Everyone's here for a good time and even though I'm not a fan of confrontation (I personally don't like telling people off), I will intervene if things get too out of hand or if I'm requested to do so. Let's not have that happen and be nice ^^

7. Keep swearing, violence/gore and sex to a PG - 13 level. Romance is cool, I love it in RP's! If you get to a mature moment, fading to black is your friend in the thread, but if you take it out of the thread please follow site rules on Libertine/Liberteen RP's.

8. Please be active. If you're going to be unable to post for a while, then please notify me. If you lose interest in the RP and want to leave it then also notify me. I will remove your character from the roster and give them a good send-off. I won't kill anyone until I have official confirmation, but if you don't respond then I'll GM your character out of the IC until I get an answer.

9. Although we're all working together and the main plot points revolving around the Park are pretty much dictated by me, I'm all up for collaborating with you all to make this a group effort! That being said, I might not approve every idea because I still have to make sure things make sense continuity wise.

Matthew is very polite to everyone he meets, male or female. Most girls find it hard to tell if he's flirting or just being nice. He doesn't like to do things by himself and would rather have someone give him orders to follow. Matthew can be odd at times, but that's just because he tries to see the world from every outlook. Even though he smiles, he sometimes feels that nobody really gets him except for a select few.

However, he's a fun guy who would stop at nothing to turn anybody's frown upside down. He's a hopeless romantic, but hopes to one day finally make the girl of his dreams happy (as soon as he meets her, that is). He is also very adventurous and loves the thrill of a good book. His love for nature really provides him with a green thumb, as he's always trying to protect the natural land wherever he can by doing the smallest of things.

Matthew is very knowledgeable about a great many things, but he doesn't flaunt it around for fear of being labeled as a nerd or a geek. He often thinks before he acts, but he learns quickly from his mistakes. He's also a bit of a nerd and loves all kinds of video games, movies and television shows.

He's also a little shy and requires some prodding in order to act outside of his comfort zone, but once you get to know him and peel away the timid shell surrounding him, 'Matt' is an amazing guy who can easily become a very good friend. He's trustworthy and honest, taking it upon himself to act like a gentleman whenever he can.

Matthew is a "professional" gamer and will quickly sit down to play a round of classic video games when he has spare time. He also loves to write a variety of stories. Ranging from fictional tales set in far away worlds, or real-life stories ground in reality. His friends in high school used to call him "Walt Disney Jr." based solely on the fact he was bursting with creativity and wanted to entertain people for a living. Matthew outgrew the nickname, but it was true that he wanted to write for a living, which is one of the reasons he got a job at Disneyland: as an employee of the Disney Corporation, he could eventually work up to a position where he would be able to pitch film ideas to the executives and potentially bring his ideas to the big screen, pursuing a job as a scriptwriter.

✮Talents✮

Matthew is actually a pretty good impressionist. He's been practicing voices since he was 4 years old and loves to do entire performances with said voices. Matt needs to have practiced the voice for at least a month straight before he can add it to his "roster", but it still takes time to learn a new one from scratch. Currently, he can do almost spot-on impressions of the following Disney characters:

Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Jack Skellington, Peter Pan, Captain Jack Sparrow, the Genie from Aladdin, Scar, The "Ghost Host" from the Haunted Mansion (and "The Phantom" from Phantom Manor at Euro Disney), Scooge McDuck, Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Olaf, Doug the Dog, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Flynn Rider, GusGus the Mouse, Roger Rabbit, Iago the Parrot, Davy Jones, TRON, and Experiment 626: "Stitch".

He's rather bashful about the impressions however and doesn't like to go around in public talking like those characters. However, he's secretly wanted to be a "Disney Character" since he was little and one day hopes he can get promoted to said job (which now seems like it's about to become a realty!)

Matthew also has a talent for singing (not that he'd admit it) and has learned how to play both an electric and an acoustic guitar. While on the job, he is often found whistling one of the many Disney songs he's memorized (which is nearly all of them, but "Steamboat Willie" is his go-to "whistle tune"). As a result of constantly practicing his imitations, Matthew has also learned to sing as specific characters.

Secretly, Matt fears that he won't find a girlfriend/"true love" and thinks that he'll die alone and unloved. He's also terrified that he'll never make it into film and will eventually become a washed-up director who sells drugs down on the Santa Monica Pier.

• Matt's never had a girlfriend before in his life.

• He has secret recipes for dozens of foodstuffs ranging from Popcorn to Hot Chocolate, to even Soups and Roast Beef. Matt's secret hobby is cooking.

• Matthew secretly brought his childhood teddy bear, "Professor Fingleburt", with him. He doesn't need it like he used to as a child, but Matt just likes having "him" around because "Prof. Fingleburt" reminds him of home.

• He had a small crush on almost every Disney Princess growing up (even the newer ones he found attractive, for cartoon characters), but outgrew them as far as he knows.

Matthew's a Disney fanatic and can easily tell you any facts you may or may not have known about the films/television shows. He also has a card in his wallet that declares him an "official Mouse-keteer" (which he got as a child from the park in Florida).

When prompted, Matt can be as "animated" as a cartoon character and is great with physicalizing emotions with his body. However, his first request to become a Character at the park was turned down because the team felt he would be "more valuable" as a dish-washer. While he was initially turned down, Matthew has an application filled out for next year and has practiced his "sales pitch" to become a Character in case anyone should retire or get promoted. But, with the announcement of a series of new TRON attractions launching at the Park, Matt was among the first to audition for a character. When he received the call saying he was about to be 'downloaded into the Grid', Matt practically jumped for joy. Now, things are finally starting to look up!

Even for someone who wants to be a doctor someday, Asher is a really goofy and energetic guy, when your job is catering to children and teenagers, you have to be ready to run around a lot. He tries to stay positive even through some of the heartaches he has been through, he tries not to think of the bad moments. Ash is loyal to his friends and family, he will always try to put others before himself.

Ash is also pretty irresponsible. he most times has a bad memory and will forget the things he is supposed to do, but also messes up with a lot of things. He also has an anger that he builds up over time, which will go off when he hits his breaking point. Asher is indecisive most times and panics when trying to settle an issue, especially if it's big. He is also rebellious at heart and always has been, he likes to sneak around when he can, but doesn't try to interfere with his job.

Ash is quite confident in himself but knows that he isn't perfect, from all the mistakes he feels he made, he is far from perfect, but is known to not care what others think. He is there for his friends even though he jokes and makes fun at them, but really cares for his friends more then himself in most cases.

Asher even as a child didn't have a perfect family, even though his family loved him, therre are a lot of conflict. His mother was diagnosed with a illness called Paranoid Personality disease, which affected them deeply. After a year with the disease, his mother committed suicide when Asher was only seven years old. It only left him, his father and sister. But his father was always there for him and was his number one supporter.

Asher had been into sports before his mother died, but had stopped for a year before he felt that he could be put it behind him. He got into football which was his favorite sport, and after that
