Sarah smiled and nodded as Anubis finished. "I'll see you later," seeing as it was friday today she had the weekend to spend on catching up wih her old friend. Despite seeing him only as a friend that watched out for her she couldn't help but feel he was different in a way for a few seconds befoe leavig, his cool voice and something in his posture seemed so unlike him. Although it was several years separating this Anubis from the one she knew as a child. "Don't you worry," Nate answered, seemingly unaffected by the serious words.

Later that evening Sarah had parted with Nate and was helping her mother to prepare dinner, she'd much rather have stayed at Nate's but her family had always been of the idea that everyone in the family should eat together and on specific times. "You'll never guess who I bumped into today," she said placing a bowl of steeming pasta on the table. "Probably not," her mother said as she scurried back into the kitchen to fetch the sallad. "Do you remember Anubis?" She asked, taking a seat by the table opposite her father who'd just put down the last plate. "Of course," her mother came back to the dining room. "That boy you always insisted on spending time with."

"Well, he's just moved into town," she said with a smile. "To one of those houses just outside the town with the beautiful gardens." Her mother pressed her lips together, a sign she was not liking something. "What a coincidence," her father remarked, although not very fond of Anubis either he didn't really show his feelings too much about it. "Of all the places..." her mother commented dryly. Sarah rolled her eyes, perfectly aware that her mother was more disappointed than amazed, she hadn't expected anything else really.

During dinner Sarah guided the subject away from Anubis to give her parents something else to think about, no matter what they said she wasn't about to change friends because of them, but she didn't want to end up in arguments over it either.

(Sorry it took awhile, thunderstorms destroyed my internet>.<)

(It's alright, that happened to me once. I was in hell for like days without it.)

Anubis walks down the sidewalk, leaving the two love birds together. It pained him but oh well... As long as Sarah was happy, he couldn't complain. That's all he wanted for her, right?

The dark haired god walks into his home at the last moments of dusk, switching on the lights in his house as he slides off his jacket and throwing it over the coat rack near the front door. Kneeling down in front of some of the boxes, he begins to unpack his few things. Being a god, he had very little sentimental feelings for anything. But there were of course some human nick knacks he held onto because they were so interesting to him as an immortal being. The evolution and progress of the human race was a fascinating time line indeed.

After a few hours, he's unpacked most of his things and moves to his bedroom, taking off his clothes as he does. And in a moment, something happened that you'd miss if you even blinked for a second. In a faint flash, the tall boy flickers and in his place a sleek black jackal pads down the hall into his room. It was a beautiful creature with midnight fur, slightly glimmering golden yellow eyes and pricked ears. It was fit and lean with a gloss to it's well groomed fur, it's stature larger then any normal jackal. Of course, Anubis could change his size whenever he liked if need be but this was his normal, default if you will, form. A large gorgeous Egyptian collar hung perfectly against his chest and neck. The canine jumps up onto the bed and ducks under the covers, turning around a few times before flopping down under them, resting his head on the pillows.

Transforming into his ceremonial form always helped him relax and calm down. It was comforting. Anubis shuts his golden eyes and lets out a breathy sigh as he settles into the bed in his new house, a soft cool breeze making its way through the slightly open window, bringing in the scents of flowers and the drizzle of rain. He drifts to sleep, soothed by the air full of soft, pretty smells and the faint random noises of cars, just barely audible, every now and then.

Next morning Sarah woke up later than she usually did on weekends, her head filled with vague memories of dreams, they flitted out of reach whenever she tried to remember and they quickly faded even more leaving only an eerie feeling behind. She didn't pay very close mind to her dreams, they were generally forgotten a few moments after she woke up but some stayed behind, linguering as a bad memory of something she didn't even remember, it was similiar to her oddly accurate intuition although she could never make sense of either at first. After a shower Sarah had mostly forgotten about it as usual as she ate her breakfast alone, her parents often worked overtime over weekends although never more than half a day so she left a small note on the table saying she'd gone out with a friend, on purpose not mentioning which friend.

Outside the sun was warming up the air quickly but it was still cool in the shadows, Sarah had Anubis adress writtend down on a piece of paper, last night she'd remembered they'd forgotten to exchange numberes and she didn't know exatly where he lived so she'd looked the adress up on the internet. Slowly the tall buildings stretching for the sky were replaced by shorter ones and finally she reached the outskirts and the charming houses with well cared for gardens, while she'd like to liv in one of these she feared a garden wouldn't survive long under her care, a potted plant was lucky to survive more than a month or two.

Reaching the right adress Sarah saw a house with honey suckle climbing the walls decorating the otherwise white house, in front stood two trees that could be cherry blossoms or something similar, lavender and a myriad of other plants and flowers added both beauty and a nice smell as the sun fell on them, spreading their scent more easily. Moving through the low gate she crossed the garden and knocked on the door, hoping Anubis would be home seeing as she hadn't called before coming.

The sleek jackal had remained in bed but his ears perked, swiveling a little as he heard the knock at the front door. Raising his head, he stares through his doorway for a moment before slowly pushing himself to his paws and stepping off the bed, padding down the hall slightly sleepily. He lets out a soft huff of air walking toward the front door, changing into a human as he does, black hair slightly rumpled as he pulls the arm of a white shirt on, the other side half off his shoulder and the front open.

Opening the door, he looks up slightly, focusing on his friend. A faint smile appears, "Oh hey, Sarah. Good morning..." He steps to the side slightly, "Want to come inside?" Anubis continues to pull his shirt on, yawning just a little. Keeping the front open as he reaches up, pushing his dark hair from his face.

While waiting for Anubis to answer Sarah swept her gaze across the small, over flowing garden, all the different flowers few of which she could name grew under the dappled shadows of cherry trees. This full garden would perhaps seem cramped and scrambled to a more perfectionate person but to her it was cozy and charming, a sweet little cottage not yet overtaken by the city.

"Oh, did I wake you?" Sarah asked, apologetically. "I would have called but I realised I forgot to ask your number yesterday." Stepping inside Sarah couldn't help but notice that no matter how much it felt the same being with him as before she saw him with different eyes, not the eyes of a child. But her eyes soon went to the house instead, curious to see what it looked like inside.
