If you want to attack, you declare that you're attacking (and how you're attacking), then roll to hit, then roll for damage on any hits you score.

I would suggest taking a 'Full Auto Burst' Action, which requires you to roll against your Ballistic Skill to land any hits. You'd be getting +30 to your BS of 40 (+10 for being in close range, +20 from the Full Auto Burst action) for a total of 70. For every ten you roll under 70, you'll land an additional hit (up to 4, because that's how many shots you're firing).

For each hit you land, you'll roll 2d10+3 (your weapon's damage).

Chances are you'll wreck somebody's shit.
